In any case, I've recently started publishing a small fanzine with some people from the university, as issues go out, I'll scan the older ones and distribute them as an e-zine as well. However, all distribution will be done through the group's blog.

Bueno, creo que ya pase el punto de la depresion y acercandome al punto de no importarme nada XD. He recaido en alguno proyectos antiguos, de la epoca cuando hacia proyectos personales, asi nadie podia abandonarlos. Nunca tuve inclinaciones a depender de gente (o confiar en ella), no se que me paso en los ultimos 2 años mas o menos, pero me imagino que lo mejor es volver a como era antes, emocionalmente las cosas eran mucho mas estables. En cualquier caso, estoy regresando a mi proyecto mas querido, qye habia abandonado a favor de proyectos con una persona que consideraba muy querida, pero que lamentablemente, al final, no me consideraba a mi de la misma manera. Esperen ver arte relacionado con este proyecto en las proximas semanas/meses.

En cualquier caso, hace poco comenzamos un fanzine con algunas personas de mi facultad. Mientras salgan los numeros, escaneare algunos de los mas viejos para distribuirlos como e-zines a travez del blog del grupo.

Anyhow, sorry for the angst burst, I guess I no longer have an outlet for this kind of stuff. I'm contemplating a break from the internet... dunno if i'll go thru with it, but we'll see.

Just wanted to apologize to all my commissioners for taking so long with crap. I'm still in deep financial shit, managed to scrounge enough together for october, now I have to start thinking of November, happy birthday to me, right? Living on a month to month basis can't be good for me. I've been going through shit, emotional and otherwise, but I'll still get the commissions done soon, I promise. However the last few weeks I've taken quite a few blows... Worst part is I feel like I have no one around to talk about most of this stuff... friends have magically disappeared... >__< so yah, I'm coping, trying to, its really weird for me to feel lonely, I usually don't even tho I'm mostly alone... it seems that to some people I don't exist when they don't need me.

In whatever case... I'm in trouble... real trouble.. not "ohu I'm strapped for cash" trouble, more like "Imma have to go September without eating" trouble. I spent more money than anticipated in my trip... all and all I spent around the equivalent to 4 months of rent >_<. I'm set for august, but I need to get work, not to buy anything in particular, but to live. My parents are having enough trouble with my brother's college fees (med school) so they can't help out ('sides I'm 22 :/... I should be able to do this stuff). I can scrounge enough for rent and college fees for September... but no food.. transportation.. etc etc. So as usual, while I look desperately for work, I'm falling back on commissions.([link])

So if you ever wanted to commission me, now's when! If you know anyone looking for commissions, if you know of any freelance or contract jobs I can do from Argentina, If you know of any paid projects for which my style would be good, if you can do something as simple as linking to my commissions in your journal, all that is a good help. So I had my last portfolio las Thursday, on Wednesday night i was working on it till like.. 4 or 5 am. Then I went to bed and woke up at 9 am to go print my portfolio. Luckily I got an A on the portfolio, figured I'd go home and sleep, but then all my friends from class decided to go to my place to have a little "farewell" party (even though I'll only be gone for a month XD). So they stayed till like.. 7 am the next day. So I figured, I'd go to sleep then, but then it turns out i had not packed... at all.. not even started, had to pack, went to get some money, made lunch, finished packing, made dinner. Next thing I know its 1 am and the taxi is coming to get me in like.. 4 hours, to take me to the airport. I decided to tough it out, didn't want to miss my flight. Luckily I have a very good friend I was talking to, whenever I do I feel very relaxed, like nothing can get to me ^_^. But then she went to bed, at about 5 am I felt the shittiest I've ever felt, I literally felt like I was gonna fall down and shatter. Taxi finally came, managed to sleep for half an hour in the way to the airport. Tried sleeping on the plane but it only made my body hurt >_<. When I finally got to Lima, I had to wait an hour to be picked up cuz some main avenue had been closed down. And then off to a family dinner. Long story short, I finally got to sleep at 10 pm on Saturday, after almost 90 hours up. Slept for 14 hours straight too >__< I had never felt like "OMG I seriously feel like I'm gonna die" before this. Now I have a cold tho, also glad to be home.

Now, for more serious stuff, as some of you know I have some big, and very important expenses coming up, in the form of a trip I've been waiting for for several months. Because of this, I'm in an urgent need of money, I've decided imma work myself to a pulp over the next three weeks if I have to, but I'll need your help XD. I felt scared and alone, and I'm not used to either... :/

So, last year my brother got an infection on his face, it got all swollen and he had to spend a few days in the hospital with an antibiotic IV. On Thursday, the side of my face was really hurting, then on Saturday night, I noticed it was starting to swell, I remember it being rather serious when my brother was in the hospital, they said an infection like that, to the face, can spread easily. By Sunday, my cheek and eyebrow were swollen and my eye was half closed, needless to say I was freaked out, and worse yet, I had no idea what to do. Uhhm.. to those who don't know me... I get sick, but never seriously so, I've never had to spend a night in a hospital in my whole life, let alone in a foreign country. Talked to my mother and decided it would be best if I went to the hospital, apparently (my brother told me later) my mom was thinking of flying me back to Peru >__<. So there I was, Monday I went to the hospital, the swelling had gone down a bit, thank god, two very good friends of mine decided to come with me, but the one person who could actually reassure me was nowhere to be seen/heard of. I actually snapped at my friends once or twice cuz I was scared, finally the doctor looked me over and said it was, in fact, an infection, but that it wasn't serious at this stage, however I had to go back for checkup in a week, because if it got worse it could compromise my eye. So since yesterday I've been in some heavy duty meds >__< needless to say I wish they'd just cut me open and gotten it over with, cuz this stuff messes with my sleeping and stomach like nobody's business.

So I guess I'll update in a week to let you guys know if I'm still alive XD.
All my life I grew up with two principles, which I believe have sort of shaped me. One from my father; "Do what you say and say what you do" and another one, from my mother; "In life there's intentions and there's consequences, intentions don't matter". I remember when I was young, attending to the funeral of a friend's mom, she'd been gunned down just that afternoon... also remember this friend, this girl from my school, she came the first day of classes and died of an aneurism that afternoon, as if she'd come to say goodbye to everyone, the past two years, two aunts and an uncle of mine have been diagnosed with cancer, two of them passed a mere months of the diagnosis... I was out of the country in both cases, I didn't get to talk to them or say goodbye.

Point of all this is, though not so extremely, life does a bunch of crap to us >_< whatever we mean to do, what we intended to do, what we should do, none of that matters in the end. Its just what we do, what we see through. Whatever you may intend or want to do, whatever you may want to say or prove to someone who is important, you might not get a chance to do it, and no matter how much you wanted to, or many times you thought of that person, if you don't do anything about it, it won't matter. Don't put off stuff you know you should get to, because the opportunity might pass you by. And don't let people you claim you care about feel abandoned or forgotten, cuz tomorrow they may have gotten tired of waiting, or they simply aren't there anymore.

On other news, is coming to visit Peru in July, so I can't get a full time job here in argentina (a full time job wouldn't give me much vacation time in July) and I need money to show her around and treat her to stuff. Bunch of crap happened and I had to put my online life on hold for the most part, my aunt, who had been struggling against cancer for most of the year, passed away, to make matters worse my cousin was studying in Finland and had to cut his semester short, but luckily he managed to make it back to see his mom one last time, now he's had to put his life on hold too to help his dad take care of his little brother. I really don't think I would've been able to handle the whole thing as well as he did if I'd been in his shoes. It was a really big blow too, not being able to see my aunt during all this, my cousin and I have been very close friends ever since I can remember, and when I was little I used to spend most of the summer over at his house, so my aunt was more like a second mother to me. I usually show very little reaction to this kind of thing.. don't know why... but it does get to me, I just can't... externalize it (is that even a word?).

Then last week I had portfolio week, which, as usual, was stupidly stressful, luckily enough I passed all my classes and now have to prepare for finals. I'm so glad the year is gonna be over, really, I love Argentina and I've made some amazing friends here, but there's nothing like home, besides I'm in severe withdrawal of Peruvian food. Argentina has the best meat in the world, but they're really short of ideas as to what to do with it >_>. I'll hopefully finish some commissions this coming week, please bare with me, also, if you're not on the list anymore but you left a commish and never got it, lemme know cuz my net has been an ass of late and like, half the time I send notes and they never get to the recipient.

I feel kind of stuck artwise lately :/ I mean, I've noticed some improvement in my stuff, but I keep having the same problem I've had for years, all my stuff looks so amateurish and unfinished for some reason, stray lines, messy color, etc. I honestly don't know what i could do to make my art look professional T_T. Maybe its just me, but it seems like it, to this day I feel weird about calling my stuff "art" i usually just call it drawings or the sort.

I'm kind of excited about Argentina, in case people don't know, I'm leaving for Argentina on march to study Sequential Art (which is comics). I really hope it'll help me get away from my current artistic stagnation, it'll do me good to be back studying. I had been teaching some basic animation and illustration at a very good Art Institute here in Peru, for a while i was seriously considered staying, the whole enviroment and feel of this place is awesome, very homely, a close knit group of friendly teachers and the sort. They're actually starting a University/Art School soon and asked me to move on there to teach, but i had to turn them down, honestly i don't think I'm at the level, let's hope after Argentina I feel more confident. The ironic thing is they're having me help design a new animation programme they're offering, so its a bit frustrating to design a programme for the very same career i couldn't finish in the states because I couldn't afford it. I wish they would've done this 4 years ago though, that way i could've just gone there and i would've never had to go to the states and i would be pretty much done with my career by now. But i guess things happen for a reason.

I've been working really hard the last few months because I'm going to study in Argentina and I need every last penny I can get. Unfortunately, during December, my compy decided to go all apeshit on me, my tabby pen died and had to pay a bunch of other stuff, so I'm seriously short :/.

In order to commission me, all you gotta do is hit me up on a note and provide me with a visual reference and short description of what you want drawn. Then I'll inform you of the price. Should you have only a text description, I might add a charge for designing the character depending on how complex it is, we'll agree on the charge before the payment is made, though.

Once we've agreed on the price and nature of the commission, I'll produce a sketch version, once the sketch has been approved, the commission is paid in full via Paypal (I'll send you the payment info at that time) and one to two weeks later (or sooner depending on how time consuming the commission is). I'll send you a large filesize, 300 dpi JPEG or TIFF of your image. I live in Peru, so its hard to mail things safely, however, if you want a print of your image mailed to you, we can discuss it.

You can use the commission for anything you please, banners, forum sigs, character profiles, etc. As long as you do not take credit for the art itself and do not use it for profit. Well I haven't posted a journal in a loooooong time.
Seeing it so bleak and ugly makes me thing I should really get a subby and some css, but oh well.

First things first tagged me a loooooooong time ago, unfortunately I didn't update and now I can't find what the tag was D: sorry Kattie.

As some of you might know, the King of Monsters tournament at [link] has eaten large chunks of my time the past 2 months or so, somehow, I got to the finals and now I'm up against who I think is the second best artist that joined that tournament (no, the best isn't me, I'm not till 5th or 6th, the best didn't make it past the first round because of incomplete work). So I'll try to at least give her a run for her money.

Uhhhm.. what else, what else. Oh, and are awesomeness incarnate and I love them XD. I'm doing them a sketchbook and doing some projects with them. So if you haven't yet go and tell'em they're awesome.

Oh yah, and I survived a natural disaster, for those who live under a rock or in the states (which is a similar thing regarding the flow of information). There was a massive quake in Peru, which lasted 3 minutes, having spikes at 7 and 7.9 richter.

Two cities to the south of Peru were pretty much destroyed, almost 600 dead, thousands injured and even more people have been displaced. Many small rural towns are incomunicated because the comunications went down and are just returning to normality, besides the roads are unpassable at points, so we don't know if they even exist anymore.

Worse part is for the last 3 or 4 days we've been in a permanent quake, a gigantic aftershock, mostly its unnoticeable but some spikes are worrying, friday morning we had a 6.0 richter aftershock. We've had 130 noticeable ones and counting. If anyone would like to offer relief posted information on how to do it in her journal.

Ok, so I decided to try out P-chat but I've been having problems with the whole thing :/ mostly because I'm a complete P-chat noob and I have no idea how to work the damn thing so all I can say is... HELP! I tried Niko's P-chat ([link]) but I couldn't figure it out, I logged in and everything, went into the "training" room but I don't know if the log ever finished loading or when I could P-chat (yeah I didn't even start P-chating, that's how much I suck XD). I've been wondering about some stuff lately, it just pisses me off how some people don't consider digital art true art, or will consider traditional art as if it had much more value or required a more skill or any of those dumb misconceptions.

I mean, a digital art piece takes as much effort, practice and time to pull off as a traditional art piece, it has challenges of its own and it has methods and techniques of its own, whereas some people seem to believe they can just be pulled off from one's ass or that anyone can do it, oddly enough, those are the same people that barely use digital mediums at all. Hearing or reading their comments makes one go back to the time when film was not considered art, or further back when photography was not considered art, hell at this pace we'll end up with the french royal academy claiming impresionism is not art, epresionism is not art. Honestly is juts makes me feel like going all DuChamp on their asses (if you don't know who DuChamp is, google him, I think he's one of the greatest characters in the advancement of the arts, in my opinion).

Point is, materials don't MAKE art, pencil, pen or tablet, whether its oil on canvas with Sfumato or "This is not a pipe"(Magritte) or Open Canvas with Photoshop retouches, they're all tools and they're all as hard to master (I mean seriously, anyone who's ever tried drawing with a mouse knows what I'm talking about), there's LEARNING involved, for every single medium, the medium does not make the image, the blood, sweat and tears, the process, the months of practice and learning in either a program or brush, THAT makes the image.

At least half of all my stuff is traditional art, I don't usually upload them cuz the medium is too big to scan and I don't own a digital camera. But I know how hard it is to work on BOTH, traditional and digital and I do not feel any type of art is less "challenging" or "time consuming" than the other. In the end, the most challenging medium is the one you haven't practiced. I mean, my favourite artists are Delacroix, Gaugin and Hyung Tae-kim, and I would never compare them, apples and oranges, apples and oranges people.

Reminds me of an anecdote, I had this really stuck up, purist art teacher, the type that things digital art is easier or takes less time while having little knowledge of digital mediums herself. A friend of mine produced an awesome acrylic piece, but she had used acrylics in an unconventional way and the Teacher failed her. My friend asked, "Is the piece not good" to which the Teacher replied, "Oh no, the piece is amazing, an A+ piece, but you say your medium was acrylics and this doesn't look like acrylics, so I have to fail you."

To all the purists to cringe at my teacher's attitude towards that piece, practice what you preach.

I had a blast because of a bunch of other reasons though, I got to hand out with the Unemployed Club a lot, ok.. some of my closest friends and me kind of get together cuz we're all artsie and stuff, so we go to this really cool club and we just find a nice place to sit, get a bunch of drinks and we just argue and discuss all these different cool issues while drinking ourselves silly, and actually, a lot of times people kind of start sitting around us and listening or get into the conversation and its really really cool. There's also a reason why we call ourselves the unemployed club though, even though we do have jobs, its because we're all studying some of the most passion-driven and hard to succeed in careers in the country. The kind that, when you tell someone what we're studying, they immediately go "Dude! yer gonna end up unemployed!". The Unemployed club is... Eduardo (Anthropology), Sebastian (Literature), Martin (Law), Lorena (Fine Arts) and me (Computer Arts), so as you see, we have very distinct backgrounds that make out arguments very interesting. In the end we just end up drunk and hugging and singing some obscure communist revolutionary 60s song

Also one of the things that I liked was that, last time I went to Peru, one of my best friends completely blew me off, I almost didn't get to see her at all. I came back to the States kind of down because of this. But this time, as soon as she found out I was there, she called me up and for a while I would see her almost every day. Maybe she missed me or she realized we barely saw each other last time I was there or something. But now there were weeks I got to see her almost every day. There's a bunch of anecdotes I might tell in my future journals.

Now that I'm back in the states, however, I'm kind of down, not because I'm in the states but because the lack of friends here has driven me to focus on my art again. I try my best but then see all the amazing artists here in DA and can't help but thinking, "Am I good enough?" I mean... I know its a matter of practice, but Ive been practicing since I was 5! and I'm 19 now... In a few months I'll be 20 and I still don't see myself nowhere near a professional level. - Finished my finals, did pretty well, my GPA is around 3.8 for this last semester so I can't really complain. (Could've gotten a 3.9 though but with all the preparation for my trip to Peru I didn't get time to redo work)
- My laptop is fixed!! yaaaay! *ish happy* annnd... I gots a tablet !!!!!!! If anyone has some tips on using it, I want to draw directly on the comp with the tablet but its kinda hard when you're just getting used to it.
- I'm finally in my beloved, natal Peru, its surprising though, how easy it is to return to my old life and routines after a year. The only bad thing is that I'm out of touch with a many of my friends. Another problem is that the ones I AM in contact with are all in final exams so I can't do much with them, I think most of them finish this week though ,

For starters, not everyone in the protests is Mexican, there are a lot of protestors that come from other countries. What you have to understand is that these illegal immigrants do not come to the states simply because "they want to", more times than not, they have to flee their countries to give their children a fighting chance in life. I mean, no one abandons his or her homeland unless they have to. Another argument I hear a lot is "why don't they go and make their own countries better" and I know immediately those people have never lived in a latin American country.

Latin American countries are a mess, and there are a lot of people trying to make them better, (let's face it, the USA doesn't help) during the Cold War, the US single handedly sent back the development of Latin America 50 years, placing puppet governments, napalming the jungle, assasinating political activists, taking down governments, placing embargos, etc etc. Now I understand it was a time of panic. And its not like we didn't help on the chaos either, military coups, wars, etc etc. I mean nowadays the US is very fearful of terrorism, just a few years ago, a truth comision was set up in Peru relating to the previous years of terrorism, almost 100,000 terrorist murders were recorded, terrorism-wise, every country in America other than Canada, is worse off than the US. So before you go on asking these people to make their own countries better before they come here, try to research a bit about their past and know where they're coming from. I mean, some people even say that the US should not change their immigration laws because Mexico has worse ones, so that means that if Mexico starts killing minorities, the US has the right to exterminate homosexuals? if you use the fact that someone is worse to justify you being bad, it just makes me cringe.

Now one of the most ethnocentric comments I've heard in the whole debate is people complaining about how most of the illegal immigrants don't bother to learn english before coming. Now... you've got to realize its not like these people draw a life plan and go "August 15th 2005, migrate to US", they usually decide to leave days if not hours before they actually do. Learning english costs money, and these people don't have any, I mean hell, why do you think they're migrating to the US? In fact, another thing many Americans don't understand is the concept that Latin America is not one big uniform culture, though there was genocide during the conquest, many native tribes and human groups lived on, there are still Maya in Guatemala and Mexico, there are still Inca in Peru and Guaranii in Ecuador. Most countries in Latin America have at least 3 official languages, and many many people don't even speak spanish. How would you feel if the EU did not let anyone from the states migrate to Europe unless they knew Spanish, French, English and German?

And we come to the National Anthem controversy, there is a fine line between patriotism and Ethnocentrism. I believe translating an Anthem so it can reach more people, and singing it with dignity and pride in either English or Spanish represents respect. I also believe that is such Anthem has things added to it, things crossed out, or anti-patriotic messages put into it during such translation, that is disrespectful, but not the translation of the Anthem itself.

Now, I believe that illegal immigrants who've been here working for some time, being exploited, underpayed, and unhumanly treated, and yet have managed to remain as ethical people, with no criminal records, have earned their right to stay. I mean, my uncle went through a hell of paperwork, and working and a long time to legally get his visa, but he never had to break his back picking peppers in the desert.

I don't think illegal immigrants are asking to be completely legalized, I think their asking for a relaxation of the immigration laws, a good, SOLID guest worker program, legalized situation for those who have been good workers. The US right now is in deep trouble because of outsourcing, that's how capitalism works, once the supply of cheap, exploitable labour force disappears, the industries move to a new spot, I think that without these immigrants, outsourcing's gonna get much worse. They do not ask the USA to take in felons, people with criminal records or lousy workers. But just the concept of the senate making every illegal immigrant a felon and setting a fence around the country seems like some militant, gun-crazed fanatic's dream.

I'm gonna be swamped for a while, and also decided to enter some contests, so I won't be doing many personal drawings for a while.

I lost my flash drive, but I've got most of the stuff backuped, its like 50 bucks to buy another 1 gig drive though U_U. No one claimed the Kiriban I offered for 2,000 pageviews (or anything close), not really surprised, I need to get more watchers . Oh! and I've got a huge flash project in the works ^_^

1 - The few times I've gotten into fights or the sort and I'm getting my ass kicked, for some reason I start laughing. It's true! Ask my little brother, when we fight he punches me and I laugh my ass off even though it really hurt. The good thing is it completely psyches out whoever I'm fighting.

4- When I'm walking and I'm bored, or when no one is around I start huming to or singing jingles from TV commercials.
5- Whenever I'm gonna do watercolours or something like that, I lay out about 50 brushes and end up using only one.

Well you see, my Mum was being sent to Mexico for work for a couple of weeks, and she was going to take my little brother with her so once her work there was done, they could do some tourism. But then my little brother went over to my dad's and said. (My dad's paying for his plane ticket) "You know? I'd much rather you use that money to bring my brother home for a couple of months than going to Mexico."

Obviously my parents were resiliant at first because my little brother never gets to do much of anything. I went to Mexico when I was around his age and in general I've traveled a lot more than he has. But he insisted and he called me up yesterday to ask me if i wanted to go to Peru for summer vacation XD!
So I'm going this May and staying till mid-July!

Oh, with the laptop thing, I dunno if people read my previous journal and remember my laptop was broken. Well, the people at HP were being jackases so I decided to call HP LA (HP Latin America) and they were really nice and they said the people at HP USA are morons and if I could send my lap-top to ANY Latin American country they can have it fixed with my warranty. So I sent it to my aunt in the Dominican Republic a few weeks back, the first two weeks they were waiting for a part to be delivered so they could do the repair, the part arrived about a week and a half ago, so now I'm just waiting for the repairs to be completed so my aunt can fedex the Laptop back.

Now the thing is, a friend can fix it, he's fixed powerjacks before (they're a VERY common problem in HP comps). But we can't figure out how to open the damn laptop! (it seems to be more complicated than other laptops).

So IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO OPEN AN HP PAVILLION ze2000 PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Or if you know anyone who might know would you please tell me how to contact that person?

WRONG!

We were just stuck in the house, had dinner at like 6 pm. By the time midnight came, my uncle and cousin were already asleep XD we had to wake 'em up, we toasted, then we just went about our business. Not like I mind a slow new year's though, its a nice change, last year by 2 am on January the 1st I was dead drunk lying down on the beach after taking part in a Luau/giant bonfire that got in the news.

I went there with my cousin (another cousin, a peruvian one) and a buch of friends. The next day there was a family dinner at my aunts and my cousin and I went to get some soda and stuff while the rest of the family watched TV. And we were at the bodega (like a little corner-store) when the coverage from the Luau gets on the news (the partying got REALLY out of hand)on the store attendant's small TV, and my cousin and I show up on the screen running around drunk like there was no tomorrow. So the attendant looks at the screen, looks at us, looks at the screen again, and then we look at each other. "Say... wasn't that the news show THE WHOLE FAMILY was watching back at your place?" "Yup... I'm pretty positive that's it."

Nevertheless, I've been going back home to see my family every 6 months or so, staying there for a month or two each time. However, this time, for several reasons, I won't be able to go home for christmass, and its gonna be my first christmass away from my family, so I'm gonna be rather emotional/vulnerable for a a while now ^^' I'll try to drown my sorrows in drawing.

Also, I've got to move out of my uncle's and start living on my own, so I got to get a place. Man.... next year everything is so different. Its really hard to figure out how I'm gonna cope with not seeing my family for a whole year, and there's also the possibility I wont be able to go home for the summer either. I'm staying in the college till like.... 9 pm today in the Photo Lab working on my final Photo Portfolio, then I have to work on a huge Art History project and I haven't started my portfolio for Portfolio Prep. And I'm not counting any of my actualy finals. I don't know why but she gave them the adress, so she started talking to the guys and they were all from Istambul. I have nothing against Turkish people but I just can't figure out what was going on through these guys's heads (the msn guys, not people from Istambul in general). Soon after they added her on msn, they started asking her to put on her webcam, and over the course of the next 20 minutes it went something like this -> (T - Turkish guys, C - my cousin)

T - Hi baby
C - Who are you?
T - I from Istambul. Hi5
C - Oh. Cool, I'm from the states
T - Do you webcam baby?
C - uhm... not really
T - baby please webcam, I horny
C - What?!
T - Please baby please.
C - My webcam's not workin *unplugs webcam*
T - please baby webcam
C - It's broken.
T - Cam tomorrow baby?
C - You saw my Hi5 picture right? How old do you think I am?
T - I don't know, 18?
C - I'm 12 (she's actually 19, but she looks a lot younger, she just wanted to get rid of the guy)

And it went like that for two days with like... 4 different guys until she finally went sane and decided to block them all. I've also been recently hearing a lot from several other friends that all these guys from Istambul go around doing stuff like the conversation I wrote above. I mean... what is wrong with these guys? I don't know how stuff is over there, or even if they really are from Turkey, they may be just from around the corner. But there's an awful lot of them, all claiming to be from Istambul, and I don't know where you're from anyways, Its just not right to put your penis on webcam with a girl you just met over the net, specially if she says she's 12! I was supposed to keep an artistic journal during IB art in high school but that doesn't count because all I did was paste-up some scraps on a notebook the last week of classes.

In any case, I'm doing some character design for an online manga I'm planning on starting and.. uhm yeah, but I figured I'f I'm gonna go into sequential art I'm going to have to learn how to do some action poses, so you might be seeing some of those in my gallery.

Also I've got to learn how to do backgrounds and the sort, I dunno, watching the pics of some of the great artists in DA I've noticed characters are always within a context, whereas mine are kind of just floating in space. So if anyone knows about a good tutorial for backgrounds of any kind (preferably in photoshop), please let me know.
