My most current project, a WIP sketch of a piece of fan art I'm doing for a fantastic Team Fortress 2 fan fiction called "The Adventures of Brody and Sniper". The link above leads to the fictions first chapter. It's still in progress, which is one reason why I started the project, since I've been missing the damn thing.
Anyway, the basic idea behind the picture is that Flynn is depressed and hanging out at the local bar, thinking about Brody and how much he misses her. The song chose is actually referenced in the fiction, so I figured it would make for a good song to lay down the emotion I wanted.

I AM WORKING ON THE PRIZES.
I'm trying to practice my digital work, and for this reason, they're taking a lot longer than I would like. The only one approaching any kind of progress is ~Red--Iodine's bonesaw-playing Medic, and he's just a head at the moment.
I'm also working on a seperate project for a contest at the TF2Slash Club, and it's actually coming a long quite well despite everything else I've been involved in lately.
And on top of all this, I have a research project/paper due in one of my college classes, which takes top priority due to it being school work.
Thus, my lack of updates and continued absence.
I will have at least two deviations up by either the end of the month or early in December, depending upon my progress and what I can get done without interuption from my home life.
Also, I'm still seeking out employment, and I might be getting some help from a couple of my relatives. I just hope it all comes through, I DESPERATELY need a job. DESPERATELY. And I've been searching for MONTHS on end with no results. Kinda ridiculous, if you think about it.

Right, so that's the update.

ASSAULT RIFLE MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
Screw the damn pistol. Shotgun + Assault Rifle kicks Flood ASS.
It took me a couple tries to get it, and some strategic grenade throwing at points, but Shotgun for big bads and Assault Rifles for the little buggers WORKS. PERIOD.
I MADE IT THROUGH THE ENTIRE FACILITY THE MOMENT I GOT THE ASSAULT RIFLE.
Ask ~Red--Iodine. She was there, she can vouch for me.

I ended up doodling a lot last night, and I created this cute little needle-footed tripod monster that looks suspiciously like that weird doctor bot from the second Transformers movie, but made out of scrap parts and without the pseudo glasses. I really do like drawing for this contest, it's been stimulating my creative sense quite nicely.
Okay, back to business.
I am going to be absent, at least for today, maybe for tomorrow as well, from DeviantArt. From the internet in general, to be truthful.
I've been on the computer so much lately, my brain has nearly turned into mush. I'm afraid I'm going to wake up one day and find a puddle of gray goop oozing out of my ear.

Okay, let's start back at the end of high school.
I've been gettind grad money and gifts for a while, and it's cool and all, but nothing all that special.
Then Kel pops in.
Totally blows my freaking mind. He knows I'm a TransFan, and I don't have a lot to show for it, though I can practically quote the 2007 movie word for word (at least the robot parts).
He pops in with a TFA Bumblebee transforming action figure and a jar of Nutella in a box wrapped with hand-drawn wrapping paper.
I was almost in tears.
The figure now stands proudly at the head of my bed, right beside MasterChief and Vector Prime.
And now Kel has out done himself once again.
So, he's going to PAX 2009. It's a video game convention down in Seattle, and I've always wanted to go, but never had the money, this year included.
Kel tells me he'll get me a souvenir, since the guys from Red vs Blue were going to be there and I love the series.
I expected maybe a photo or a poster with autographs.
But no!
Kel comes up to my front door with not one, but TWO items that make me want to scream with happiness every time I even think about them, let alone look at or hold them.
He gave me a wonderful knit cap in the colors of my most favorite RvB character, Caboose, and a MESSENGER BAG with autographs from the whole RvB/RoosterTeeth crew!
IT'S FREAKING AWESOME!!!
Seriously, this bag is going to be going with me EVERYWHERE from this moment on, college, shopping, you name it.
I'll have to get some waterproofing on it and maybe some of that plastic/resin spray stuff to keep the signatures clear, but still!
I am so happy, I could cry.

The new club put together by myself, and , has finally reached the web.
It's not much yet, just a half-assed journal entry saying 'hi' to the world, but it's a start.
And it'll soon be buffed up, thanks to a pal of mine in my Introduction to Graphic Design class, Connor Reeves.
He's helping design the icons, backgrounds, and even a couple flyers for the club, which will be posted in the club deviations (with his permission and a great amount of gratitude).
There is a possibilty of this club being expanded later on with one of those free web-forum sites, but that's still up for debate.

I'm actually looking forward to it, seeing how I've spent my few weeks out of school.
Just vegging around the house doing absolutely nothing I don't have to and sitting on my bum in front of the computer.
Besides that, I've got a few creation notes.
First off, my Spider-Man noodle bowl broke, so I ended up having to go back and paint a new one.
It's different, not Spider-Man.
It's Rorschach from Watchmen, abstracted just like Spidey was, but I like this one better. The blood splatter came out quite nicely.
Remind me to post pictures some time soon, before I forget.
I've also been sketching a lot lately, no real finished things but a lot of pencil doodles.
My muses together, a pic of Rory and me when I was sick, and I'm planning on a pic involving my newest pal chewtoy25 and Rory over a silly conversation we had.
It was about Rorschach being clingy and jealous and how chewtoy25 would react.
And it's going to be all chibi, so this might break me out of my art block.
I'll heading out in about an hour, mosey off to college.
Yeesh, college.
Finally sinks in I can't pass myself off as a kid anymore.

The sheer epicness of this sequel blew my socks off so far I think they might be orbiting Cybertron.
Let me say this right now.
IT IS AN ACTION FLICK.
There is very little plot, and most of that plot is simply used to promote more explosion, robot death matches, and moments of kung-fu style whup ass to shame Jackie Chan.
The CGI was utterly fantastic, though I could have done without the ass shot (not telling whose).
The revival of certain G1 film occurrences pissed me off to no end, but they were eventually rectified quite nicely with some new cans o' whup ass.
For all you Armada fans, you will have a moment of childhood glee in the final battle. You'll know it when you see it.
Devastator was EPIC, just like I'd hoped. Quick Tidbit: Devastator was so intricate and complicated, he melted an animator's computer from the inside out. Check Nickelodeon magazine you don't believe me.
Soundwave had a small, but very important part. He didn't get to be part of the action, but he fulfilled his job as the Decepticon Communication Officer quite nicely. The fact that they got his original voice actor from G1 was just an extra treat.
And I dare not give away any more, else someone will come after me with a chainsaw and gouge my eyes out for spoiling the film.
Though I'll probably update this at a later date to nitpick over the little things that I noticed that bothered me IE the Twins (and their lack of usefulness), Sideswipe not having his double, Hatchlings, etc.
And I think I just gave more away than I meant to...
Oh well.
You'll all just have to go see it.

I am registered for summer quarter at the local community college.
The new Transformers movie has debuted.
I just saw the movie UP (very cute, I highly recommend it).
My father has gifted me with the tablet laptop I have been drooling over for months ( I have to pay back half, but I was going to go half and half anyway).
I have completed and turned in a number of job applications (I'm still crossing my fingers for replies).
And last, but most certainly not least, I have acquired one of the most fantastic pieces of Transformers memorabilia ever.
Soundwave as a DJ t-shirt.
I love having money.
I went to Hot Topic today, brought a hundred dollars of my graduation money with me.
Walked out with the Soundwave shirt, a fantabulous Soundwave jacket, a retro styled Optimus Prime shirt, a Deadpool shirt that makes me cackle with glee, and a shirt of Rorschach's iconic inkblot mask.
I am officially a very VERY happy fangirl.
And my muses agree.
Now all I have to do is go see the Revenge of the Fallen on Saturday and my summer is set.
I'm so easy to please.

I'm writing a letter of complaint to the main office of the Washington DMV, including notes of improvements that could be made.
Here's what I've got so far:
= Send out information packets to prospective drivers once they come of driving age, including all details and forms required, to expediate application process.
= Increase staff and institute rotating schedules to keep all stations full at all times and increase efficiency. Personally, I'd rather have a tax hike than wait another 5 hours.
= Enclosed child daycare/play center for parents.
= Comfortable seating.
= Atmosphere music. They have the speaker system already, all they have to do is hook up a radio to the thing.
= Food/drink vending machine and designated eating area.
= Recreational computer areas, or at least a wireless internet location.

Anyone have any further ideas?

Pokemon and Silent Hill realms collide, and in an attempt to compensate, the denizens of Silent Hill are forcibly transformed into the creatures known as "Pocket Monsters".
General Theory behind Idea:
Otherworld Silent Hill is a free-floating pocket dimension that connects to a parent or host dimension via a temporal link, a link originally maintained by the Cult and Alessa (and her decendants/avatars). When the Cult dies out, the link is severed, causing the Otherworld to go adrift in the non-space between dimensions. A pocket dimension CAN NOT survive on its own, it does not have enough life energy to prevent dimensional decay like a whole dimension. As the Otherworld drifts and begins to decay, lesser entities (carnivorous bugs, Nurses, Lurkers, etc.) begin to die out. Desperate, the greater denizens (the Satanic God and Valtiel mostly, Pyramid Head in the background) seek out the nearest compatible dimension before the decay becomes irreversible and the Otherworld is consumed by the non-space "Void". The Otherworld connects to the Pokemon world, but the decay is already advanced to the point were the greater entities are becoming sickly and there are few of the lesser entities left, so the life energy of the Pokemon world is used to treat the decay and reverse its effects. The foreign life energy reacts to the Otherworld life energy, causing changes in the pocket dimension.

This is mostly an elaborate excuse to try and figure out why Pyramid Head was being transformed into Lugia in that weird-ass dream I mentioned earlier.
I'll eventually list the various transformations and post them in this journal if anyone is interested.

My artistic muse has been lacking, and my coloring skills aren't all that great, so I decided some practice was in order since I eventually want to be an artist as a career.
And I just realized that a lot of my later submissions are rather washed out.
I'll do what I can to fix them, but my scanner tends to wash out my coloring if it's not in marker, so...
Yeah, some of the colored pencil detail is probably lost, sorry about that.
I will eventually get back into my drawing and such, but with my senior project coming to a close and finals coming up, I'm doing all I can to just keep my head from exploding from stress.
You'll be seeing a lot more colored pics before this school year is through, let me tell you.
Nothing like a good hour and a half sitting down with a bunch of friends and coloring utensils to realx from a stressful school day.

My only regret is that I only got to go the one day.
Had I the choice, I would still be there, and I would be in the group photo with the five other Rorschach cosplayers I saw.
So much fun.
Got some really cool stuff, too.
A large Master Chief action figure with an assault rifle and grenade, a smaller Alphonse Elric figure that came with his kitty (so cute), Revoltech Starscream, the Tenth Doctor's pocket watch, two prints of Rorschach, and a print of Steampunk Sleepy Hollow.
I'll post pictures at some point.
I just wish I'd been able to stay a bit longer.
Hang out with the other Watchmen cosplayers, the Doctor Mahattans, Silk Specters, Rorschachs and the lone Ozymandias.
That would have been one HELL of a group pic, let me tell you.

Just recently, I was talking with an acquaintance of mine that I know from my PE class at school.
She's a devout Christian, and we ended up chatting about religion during class.
She was so convinced that her belief was the best, was so in the right, I couldn't help but open my big fat mouth and present my own take on the religious thing.
After taking a World Religions class in my Junior year, I found myself confronted with just how similar all the religions of the world are.
They all have a higher being of some kind, rituals which to follow, some have scriptures, all of them have legends, and so on.
I was looking at all the similarities, and their differences, and realized something.
It's all a matter of point of view.
How a person grows up, what kind of environment they live in and what they have to deal with on a daily basis, the things that shape a person's view on life and the world in general.
In Hinduism, you have multiple gods and goddesses, all of them related to specific things, concepts and ideals important to the people. And it makes sense for them to have so many different higher beings, each with their own responsibility, having originated in a place like India, a land of extremes so vast that it would be ridiculous to think one being could handle all the different aspects without going insane.
Catholicism and Christianity only have one higher being, God, and this makes sense, as they were founded in a society that was ruled by monarchs and evolved into a specific hierarchy that had a single person in total control. One being could do it all.
And thus, I propose a theory.
There is a higher being, vast and all knowing, all powerful, but so great in its goodness that we humans, with our tiny little brains and narrow minds, can only see small portions of its brilliance, facets if you will.
These facets of the higher being are viewed by different people, at different times in their lives, and the facets grow to become belief, then a following, which is then classified as a religion.
A good example of this comes from a unit my class did on Israel and Pakistan.
One country is Jewish, the other is Muslim.
Both have holy scriptures recording the teachings of their higher being and the disciples of that higher being who witnessed great miracles and did great things in the name of their higher being.
Both have holy places based in Jerusalem.
And they both claim Israel and Jerusalem as their Holy Land, given to them by their higher being.
Its written right in their holy scriptures.
What strikes me, as the outsider in this conflict, is the blindness of the two factions.
To one such as I, who am of neither belief and is able to view the situation as a greater picture, it seems obvious that the higher being in which they both believe is one and the same, and wants them to share the land that was promised?
It's really not all that much of a stretch of the imagination if you look at it.
But what do I know?
I'm just an 18 year old senior in an American high school, who's grown up among hippies and potheads, philanthropists and care takers, believers in all kinds of religions, skin colors ranging the whole spectrum of the rainbow.
Maybe my own mind is simply too open.

We ended up going to Granville Island, and I spent most of the day taking these really cool macro style pics of different artworks, textiles, and of the general atmosphere.
I will be making these macro pics into either a single collage or a series of collages to add to my personal portfolio.
Now on to the Dream come True.
Have to take a deep breath for this so I don't pass out while typing...

I was within 2 feet of a real live, 1.2 million dollar, 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds, top speed of 211 mph, based off the F-15 Raptor, only 20 vehicles built (so far), LAMBORGHINI REVENTON.
It GORGEOUS.
Pearly-white convertible, flowing lines and aggressive angles, and my Auddi A6 almost BRUSHED SIDE VIEW MIRRORS WITH IT.
Seriously, any automobile fanatic's DREAM.
And I am CURSING myself for being so star-struck I COMPLETELY forgot I had my camera at the time.
I DID get pictures later, through the window of the showroom, but if only I had grabbed the chance-!
Oh well.
It's getting it's own collage anyway.
Let bygones be bygones, cause it just got BETTER.
The alley was behind half-a-dozen SPECTACULAR sports vehicle dealers, and as we drove down, we got to see the technicians driving the most BEAUTIFUL vehicles on the face of the planet Earth.
Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Lotuses, Aston-Martins, the list goes on.
I think my lower jaw dislocated from gaping at the creame-de-la-creame of the automobile industry.
And I came back and got pictures of a few of them.
I will be on Cloud Nine for the next week and a half from the experience.
The shit-eating grin will probably last until Hell freezes over, or the next update on my grades, whichever comes first.

2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?
Oh, god, how long ago did I freaking JOIN?!! At least four years ago, I think. Back then, I was WAY into “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. I’d come home from school and watch the movie while doing my homework. At the moment, it’s a rather curious mix of Transformers, Halo, Alien/Predator, and WALL-E.

3. How many watchers do you have now?

Then, you get to where you're going, but only after having to wait in the freezing fog for what seems like HOURS for a stupid bus to come and pick you up.
Once you get there, you realize that you entirely forgot to complete an assignment that is now due, and you have no time to even try to finish because the assignment is due in your first class which starts in 10 minutes.
Get to class, nearly pass out from lack of coffee which you now just realized is sitting untouched next to your empty cereal bowl at home, get MORE work from the same class you didn't get the assignment finished in, rest of the 3 classes are just as bad.
You get assigned a MASSIVE essay in one class that includes a great grand presentation you actually have to dress up for, and find out at lunch that your friend has run out of money in their lunch account, so you end up sharing half of your food because you can't stand to see your friends go hungry.
Finally, the day ends, you get to hang for about an hour with your friends.
You mean to finish that assignment from that first class, but get distracted, and before you know it, it's time to head home.
End up the chauffeur for a couple friends who need rides, which wouldn't have been a problem if the day hadn't started to catch up on you and a jackhammer just started demolition on the inside of your skull while the lack of sleep and coffee has you just about dead on your feet.
Make it home, find out your plans for the weekend are now all kinds of FUBAR because your parents failed to inform you of their own weekend plans that they expect you to participate in simply because they think it's their right to cart you around to places you REALLY don't want to be since that's the way they've always done it.
Due to bad mood caused by headache and lack of sleep, end up getting in a yelling match with your mother over said plans, which evolves into you having pushed aside an independent study course for more current school work when you meant to have the course done before school started in the first place.
BRILLIANT.
I would go and grab some chocolate right now, but that would counter act the Tylenol and I would be back to having a pounding headache.
Somebody shoot me...

And I am officially PANICING.
One moment, I'm sitting down, minding my own buisiness, eating my lunch, and then I start off to class, put my hand in my pocket, and Megatron is GONE.

Like a puff of smoke!
And he was just about to get fixed too!
Yeah, I accidentally broke the joint of his cannon arm, and a friend of mine() was going to fix him for me.So not only is Megs lost, he has nothing to defend himself with!
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
What if someone picks him up and thinks he's garbage?
He could get dumped, broken, or WORSE!!!
Our school dumps the trash into the furnace, and there is a Chemistry class in our school, along with Home Ec.
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH DAMAGE THAT COULD CAUSE TO A 5-INCH PLASTIC ACTION FIGURE?!!!!!!!!!!
That's it, I'm done!
Once I find Megs, and I WILL find him, I am never EVER taking another precious object to school AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

I got my hair highlighted, and it looks f**king AWESOME (not quite punk, but a little bit rocker).
