Its nice for people to really appreciate your work especially when they don't know you so are speaking the their true feelings rather than "fluffying" it up in case of offending you. Much appreciated!!

Also another boost to the old confidence has come in the form of 2 people faving a piece of my work in my etsy shop and 7 people faving the entire shop. I didn't think anyone would be particularly interested in looking at my work so to make some favourites is very pleasing, now just need to impress someone enough for them to purchase a print! Sold 4 prints through here without trying so surely with a bit of promotion I can sell 1 on there... we'll see!

I only have 5 prints in my etsy account at present but will be updating as soon as possible. check it out at [link] postage is much much cheaper than here on DeviantArt which is especially good for any UK purchasers.

Etsy is a fantastic place where people from all over sell handmade goods, some of the work for sale is truely amazing and most of it at rediculously low prices too. I have my eye on a few things reading the forum makes you realise just how excited the shop keepers are to make even the smallest of sales and most seem thoroughly passionate about their craft too. Number 1 - remember to charge batteries! Got down to the river bank started a few test shots and wham battery died. Grr... Will return to this spot next weekend with a fully charged battery and see what I get... bet the weather and lighting won't be as nice LOL

It came with the 18-55mm kit lens but I have great difficulty getting anything "semi-decent" from this lens other than basic point and shoot snapshots but that probably says more about me than the quality of the lens I have borrowed a 100mm Sigma Lens off a friend and am having much better luck with it. The pictures I've entered into my deviant gallery are taken with the 100mm lens and I'm fairly pleased with them, they are far from perfect and I have a lot to learn and a big manual to read but I'm enjoying it!! This len will have to be returned to its owner soon so I need to make the decision about which to purchase to replace it. I'm going to research it and make a list.
