As the title says. Life has been very busy lately, with uni, work, spending time with the family where possible, and so forth. This is the first time I've actually been on dA for nearly three months for any reason other than to clear a backlog of messages and deviations. Because of those reasons, I'm not really sure how much I will be on, especially as exams draw nearer; It must be said, however that I have been writing through most of my hiatus, and recently reached a stage where my own revisions do little to help improve the works, so I might be putting up some of the more rough peices for crit. My camera broke a month or two ago, putting an end to my photographic outings, but it's led me to take up painting again, and I'm enjoying it more than ever.

Hope you are all well, and life is good.
-D.

Hello. Nice to meet you. You might not remember, but I used to come here a lot.

Seriously though, life has been very busy lately. Around uni and work, I have had little time left for me. However, now that the holidays have rolled around, I feel duty-bound to procrastinate to the max (I feel cool just saying that :B) and spend more time on my neglected pastimes; namely dA, Photography, Coding my new website, and writing Game Design Docs.

I should be uploading some images over the next two weeks, to hopefully breathe some life into my gallery. I probably won't be taking an awful lot of photos until I get my new camera though (Canon 450D!), which in turn would need to wait until I get my new computer. But both of them will be well worth it.

Anyway, Hope you are all well and such.
- D.

This is a completely un-selfish request for your help with the 'Clean up your lit' project (I'm not sure if project is really the right word, but anyway), information for which can be found at [link] . At least read the journal. You know you want to. srsly.

In other news...

Uni has started, for better or worse. While it's nice to be busy after a long period af apathetic procrastination, I am somewhat over-busy (disregard the time spent on dA, as I'm transferring my lecture recordings simultaneously) to the point where it is nigh-literally wake up/go to uni/come back from uni/eat/go to work/sleep.

Also I am determined to get the new Canon 450D on or shortly after it's release, as I have spent enough time with a detestable prosumer camera for too long.

Ciao,
D.

A belated Merry Christmas, and an early Happy New Year, from all seven of us inside my head. I've been incredibly busy lately, achieving little, but busy nonetheless. My darling brother has been using the internet almost nonstop lately, resulting in my lack of uptime here (gotta love dialup). w00t for the massive backlog of deviations to view!

We should be signing the lease for my moving-out-ness within the next week or so, and I should be moving mid-late January. This will result in more time away from dA but after that i should be on here much more frequently as I will have almost nothing else to do until university starts. Speaking of which, I find out what course I got into in just under 3 weeks! I just hope it's one of my higher preferences, but because of the computer screwup I got a terrible score, making my chances almost zero.

Anyway, Hope you all had a great Christmas, and have a happy and safe New Year's.
- David.
UPDATE 01/01/08:Happy New Year's Everyone! It's 2:07 here, and we've just gotten back from seeing a rather excellent fireworks display.

UPDATES: Finished importing friends, wishlist and about 10% of my s. Also started reposting old deviations, although I don't want to post more than one deviation to each category per day. More news to come soon.

OLD NEWS:

For a result of events not entirely of my own causation, I've had to change my dA account to this one from ~Beaconofdarkness ( [link] ). Please don't ask me why, it's a long story and quite complicated. Over the next few days I hope finish clearing out the unviewed deviations from my inbox, after which I will move all of the s, and my wishlist to this account. Hopefully the staring of this account will also herald a new period of more permanent activity from me.

In other news, I'm moving out of home at the start of next year, which will mean that I'll be living on my own for the first time - something which I am very much looking forward to. We're signing the lease later this month, and hopefully moving in sometime around the middle of January.
