Very possibly when I eventually have enough money I'll invest in a tripod and maybe produce a wee photography project: basically an HDR account of Edinburgh as I see it. The tourists visit and often get a misconception of city life (although, don't get me wrong - Edinburgh is a fantastic place). What I wan't to do is photo Edinburgh's dark, gritty underbelly - a reality the tourists don't see.

Started brewing my own beer - first batch tastes like sock, and the second batch tastes as if it has been brewed by Greek gods. Pretty aromatic with a slight hoppy/bitter mouthfeel. Yum.

Well, about a month left of my job. I have been given an important project in biomedical research looking at things called PPARs. Sanity prohibits me from talking any more about it… it is pretty fucking boring :p

Heading off to Greece on the 24th to work in wineries. So more photos then.

After my 10 weeks in Dundee I am immediately flying out to Greece to work in a winery on the island of Ikaria. I will be virtually responsible for the creation of this wine... and hopefully no green, 15% methanol, toxic wine either.

After Greece I am flying back home to immediately start my 3rd year of University.

Long story short:
A while back, an excellent artist called Ben Heine was banned from dA for submitting a fairly controversial piece depicting Jesus and the issue of condoms.
While I understand that this issue is controversial, dA have used double standards in their actions. What gives them the over-ruling authority to decide what is art and what is not?
I have a feeling there is a wee bit of political and religious bias on behalf of dA...

I have around 4300 photos on my computer, and it is likely there are a few that are fairly decent, substandard, or others that I have simply overlooked. I will upload a few of these and probably move most to scraps depending on feedback.

So just to let you know, much of the following work may be a bit substandard.

I think i'll also have a good look through my older submitted work, and see if there are any ways I can inprove these with my greater knowledge of lighting tones and photoshop.

I have had NO oppertunity to take more photos lately. Uni is tough, and seems to take up most of my time. Hopefully I will be able to get some more photos soon. I have got my hands on some new software called Topaz. It has produced some very interesting results in my old photos - often ones that were simply not interesting and not fit for Deviantart.

I know I shouldnt mention my methods, but what the hell.

I do not believe in cheating to produce photos - it takes time and effort to create real works of art. These days any kid can just click a mouse and create "art".
