Figured since I've been submitting I might as well update my journal...I'm actually doing some drawing these days, mostly just pen sketchs, though I'm going to try and work on poses and bodies. I'm taking a break from rewriting and just doing some fun stuff, so I have more time. Summer's flying by, isn't it? Well, I'm hoping the school year is going to be a piece of cake, it sorta looks that way right now. Maybe my writing will pick up, who knows.

How you guys been? Anyone see the new Harry Potter? I finally did, now I have to read the books to find out what happens. <3 Snape.

So yeah, I know I haven't updated. . .no inspiration for art. But I have HAPPY news. I just got back from Montrose Writer's Conferance. The first day I felt a little sad after the major morning class. I hadn't learned anything. That pattern largely continued until I had a class about diolog hosted by another writer. I didn't learn much in that class (good class, but I had just already learned all of it) but I liked the writer that taught it and went and asked her some questions afterward. We hit it off and she told me to sign up to spend half an hour with her the next morning. Of course I was freakin out when she told me that. I brought the first chapter of Lost Memories and a five page synopsis of the whole novel. She gave me things to work on, but the best part was, she said LOST MEMORIES IS PUBLISHABLE! WOOOT! So yeah, that's my big news of the month. I'm going to be seeing this writer at another conferance, and she said she'd introduce me to agents and other writers -faintsfromhappyness- So yeah, I'm all excited and stuff. How've you all been?

So Book 2 (Still no title DX) is finished! Woot woot. It hit the 65,000 word mark perfectly. I'm really happy with how it turned out and am looking forward to rewriting it some time soon. Lost Memories comes first though

Now I'll have a whole week with nothing to do! March is editing month for me, so I actually have time on my hands! I'll try and post some more of Prelude: The Fifty soon. Hopefully I'll post some more artwork as well.

Btw, for those of you who read my last journal and remember me talking about sending a scene to my direcotr. . .she actually liked it. And said she was impressed O.O I think she only changed one line, which there was a good reason for. (I haven't looked at the new script rewrite though)

So I'm feeling a tiny bit overwhelmed at the moment. . .Feb. is noveling month for me and I am enjoying it very very much. I'm writing the second book in my series The Fifty. So far I'm pretty happy with it. I'm hoping the plot is going to go to 65,000 words (which means I write 2,242 words a day), which is the word count I need if I'm going to send it to this one publisher.

On top of writing my novel, I'm helping my drama directer with writing the summer play and she just asked me to write a scene for it. First, this makes me very happy and a little nervous. She's said twice the it is hard for novelists to write scripts. But a script is only dilogue and I've gotten excellent comments on my dilogue. . .So I'm working on my scene and hoping she likes it.

Plus, I have to edit some of Lost Memories to take to my writer's group.

Yeah. . .I might be a tad in active for a little while

I hope you are enjoying the new year!

I am anyways! I am totally loving my tablet, an awesome piece of equipment!

So I started off the new year with editing the first scene of Lost Memories yet again. -facedesk- I tried some new stuff on it to see how it worked, and I didn't like it. I ended up taking out all most all the new stuff I had put in. Anyways, the reason why I started editing it again, even though Jan. was suppose to be my month off, was because I joined a Christian Writer's Group in my area that I didn't even know existed! All the people are old enough to be my parents, but I don't mind hanging out with some older folks. They are all really nice too. The best part is that the purpose of the group is to critque! Woot!! Just what I have been looking for! I'm really excited and have already been to one of the meetings. It went well and I got some good comments. Nothing major since they only saw the first three pages. I'm hoping for some more long term comments when I take in the rest of the chapter.

So, now that I have my tablet, I'm going to open Art Trades, and I might take requests as well.

So tonight was the youth Christmas party at my church. The theme was superheroes and villians. I went dressed as the 10th Doctor from Doctor Who, and I wore 3D glass like he does in the final of series 2. It was a lot of fun, and one of the activties was superhero trivia. Nobody got them all right, but I was the only one who missed two questions, so I won a big box of candy. WOOT!

THE CLARK BROTHERS WONNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Okay, was anyone else following The Next Great American Band? The Clark Brothers are actually related to my pastors and have played at my church before, at least Ashley did. I remember him because his music was really good. Anyways, they won!!! So, as some of you saw, I had sent the first chapter of my novel, Lost Memories, to an editor at Zonderkids, I got the answer today. She said that the novel wasn't for Zonderkids since there was not an overall Christian theme. But, she said that my writing was mature and that I had talent. I asked her some more questions and she said that I needed to work on my grammer and spelling (Now, hold up just for a second, me and my mom, dad, brother, and a friend of the family, had all gone over it, I did proof read this thing lol) and that my characters needed a little work, among some other things.

So, like I'm actually kinda happy. At first I was pretty upset, cause I had put a lot of work into Lost Memories, but after the innitial shock, I'm like 'okay this isn't so bad'. It would never have worked at Zonderkids to begin with since it didn't have an overall Christian theme, the series doesn't either, so what better place to learn something than from a publishing house that wouldn't have published your work anyway! I didn't waste a chance! And as I think about it, I must be doing some thing right, at least she didn't tear the whole thing apart and baisically say I did everything wrong lol, the things she mentioned are very easily fixed and she even sent me a templete to help me when I submit it else where in reguards to querying about the series etc. So I'm pretty happy right now. I don't know how much I'm going to work on it right now, I might wait until March or I could start editing again in December, I really don't know. Thanks for reading!

So I just got tired of staring at my other journal and thought I should put up another one. I'm still drawing, I just haven't drawn anything decent enough to put up....blah. I'm doing a lot of editing and writing. I'm still working on Lost Memories and hope to have it all edited by the middle of December, then off to the editor that I have an email adress for! I'm also working on a short story and hoping to clean that up and try to get it published in a mag or something....

All I can say is it was awesome, the whole place was anointed. For those of you who didn't know, I went to The Call, a large gathering of Christians in Nashville, TN. It was just awesome, something had to have happened. There was times when everyone there just shouted, I mean we got like THOUSANDS of people just shouting and praising Jesus. There were several prophecies about different things. Cindy Jacobs prophesied that there was a terrorist attack on the America planned, but if Christians pray that God would thwart it. So when you hear about a terrorist attack that was thwarted, well, you'll know who did it. Another man prophesied that for every child that was aborted, that a strong Christian would rise. For those of you who don't know how many children have been aborted, it is 40 million. So that means 40 million strong Christians are going to be raised up. That is just two highlights that really stick out in my mind. But God has a plan for this nation, and there is no way America is going to escape it.

Anyways, I'm heading out to Tennsesse (sp?) for a week to go to the Call, wooot!!!! I can't wait! The Call is a gathering of Christians in the titans stadium (at least i think its the titans staduim). A whole bunch of Christians are going and me and my family are going to be able to go woot! As you can see I'm really excited lol okay now on to the rant....

GAHHH!! TRANSFORMERS YOU STUPID PEOPLE!!! I was reallyyyyyy looking forward to that movie, REALLY!!! So before I see any movie, me or one of my family reads a review of it. Well, it turns out that it has like a whole bunch of language in it! THIS IS BASED OFF A CARTOON PEOPLES!!!! I guess hollywood didn't take a lesson from Spiderman, which I will now give you. Spiderman made over 151 million dollars in its opening weekend and spiderman was super clean. PotC only made 139 million in its opening weekend, and compared to Spiderman it didn't hold up morally, DON"T YOU STINKIN GET IT HOLLYWOOD!!!! GAHHHHHHHH!!!! Okay I'm done now.

On a different note, I am now a Star Trek fan. I started watching The Next Generation, and then I watched Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Kahn, and once you see that movie you have to get the third one because they say Spock dies. So I have now watched the third movie and will be watching the fourth one tomorrow I can't Wait!! I love the Star Trek The Next Generation, Data is my fav character! Okay I'm done now!
