Laverne, the 31 year old Pacific White-Sided dolphin at the Vancouver Aquarium has passed away due to a twisted intestine.

Laverne was ill for a month. Trainers spoke to SeaWorld for chances of a few sicknesses. Before any medication to take part, Laverne passed away. Some medication was used, hopefully to get her well again.

Laverne was thought to be the oldest captive dolphin in North America. As she continued to be cared, fighting the sickness, she died in her trainer's arms.

As my favorite dolphin, this death is heart-breaking. I have never seen such a beautiful dolphin like Laverne, and her passing is just like a nightmare...

Rest in peace girl. We'll remember you forever.

I plan to go to the Vancouver Aquarium as much as I can during the following week for Spring Break. I've already planned one day to go with two of my best friends. I might go with a few others as well, hopefully, I'll go at least twice.

On June 17 2008 (The Date This Journal Was Written) Little Halyn Passed Away In SeaWorld San Antonio, Texas. Halyn Was 2.5 Years Old And Her Mother Is Kayla Who Rejected Her After Birth. Halyn Had No Choice But To Be Hand Fed. She Fed Well But She Just Had To Go... Hayln Was Still Very Young.
