I got an honourable mention on the Red Studio Character design contest..thing.. at MoMa.org. Go me, I guess. I lost to two thirteen year olds (and a seventeen year old) :< I guess the judges were looking for a lot more cartoony character. Oh well. :3 What annoys me, though, is my story thing got butchered. All the ' were replaced with ?. UGH. I know I didn't submit it that way. :E

Actually, I made my computer a dual boot so I still have Windows (Winblows.) for programs that might not 'want' to run on Linux yet or I can't emulate through it.

Well! The past few weeks have been interesting to say the least. It turns out that I DON'T have an under-active thyroid gland (yay)- though I could still develop it. Stress was simply making my body think it was sick (I was showing all the symptoms of hypo-active thyroid disease). So, the doctor decided to try to treat my stress/anxiety/depression with Zoloft. (You know. The drug with the commercial with those bouncing white blob things.) Turns out that I'm severely allergic to Zoloft! Oh noes! Last saturday I saw some red patches of skin but I didn't think much of it because my skin dries out all the time. The next day I have this horrible itching rash all over me.

"Okay." I say. "I'll go to the doctor tomorrow." I do and she confirms I'm allergic to Zoloft. The rash seems to be pretty much gone on monday. Right? Wrong. Today I wake up and my eyes and lips are SWOLLEN. Great. On top of that, I'm having trouble breathing and the rash has spread to the palms of my hands and swollen there too. So, I stay home from school and call the doctor at 8 AM when they open. I need to go down there again.

I go down at 11 AM when she is able to see me and they almost had to send me to the ER. My throat and lungs were swelling and they had to give me a steroid to stop the swelling. I almost pass out so they have me lay down. Joy for shots in the hip! But it helps and I'm able to breathe better after a while. I'm prescribed 4 anti-histamines that I have to take until the prescription runs out. (So Zoloft is flushed out of my system and I don't start swelling again. If I do I have to go to the ER.)

I recently found out I have some medical problems (IE. Acid reflux, probable disfunctional thyroid) but they're curable so nobody freak out!

OKay. Quick update!

I finally obtained an Intuos3 Wacom Tablet and I love it to death. It was worth every penny! I'm doing a lot of experimental art..and since next week is the last week of this semester, I'll have more time to do more art, and that means more updates. Woo!

Whoops, my subscription ran out o.O Oh well. *Shrug*

I would like some opinions, please! Tell me what you would like to see as a print/magnet/otherstuffavaliable here at DevART. Just give me ideas...and it can include stuff already in my gallery. (Though I'm getting ready to delete a lot of the old stuff that is extremely...bad..) BUT! You get the general idea.

Well, I've obtained a print account. I am in need of money because my current 'job' cannot afford to actually hire me, and other jobs around town are scarce. (Argh at small downs. ARGH I say.)

I'll be revamping a lot of my digital art to put up there - as for prices, I'm not sure what they will be other than affordable because my art isn't that great to begin with and I'm not sure how many people are going to be buying. o_O.

Geh. To be honest I am rather intimidated. I am unworthy. X_X

Please, give me some ideas that you think would make nice prints, I would be thrilled to no end for some input, any input at all.

Yeah, back to school for me. Oh well. This will be my second full week back..

You know, High School is scary. Let's go hide.

All the freshmen look like they were born premature or something. Most of them are shorter than I am, which is very sad indeed.

On the flip side, there are a few freshman that are insanely tall. There is no gray area I guess. Oh, and pregnant girls are taking over the school. Isn't that nice?

There was a fire alarm today and they couldn't figure out how to turn the new system off (supposidly? I'm not sure.) so we were stuck outside for half an hour or so. See, this normally wouldn't be bad but when you live in Georgia..it is. 100 F (without heat index, mind you) plus 50ish humidity isn't fun.

When we were all milling back inside when they finally did figure out how to turn off the alarm there were promptly two fist fights. Interesting I guess.

HEY! Lookie there, I'm finally on DSL too. w00t w00t. No more 56k for me. (Onisyra was teh correct :})

I caught a snake today. It is a pretty thing! Most likely a rat snake of some sort. I let it go after I caught it, so no worries there. It's happily eating mice, toads (and other things, I'm sure) in the barn.
