For two reasons: 1. People forced this man to leave by behaviour. This would not have been the case had he not been so popular. I've seen far worse than this grace the front page of DA, and annoyingly often. 2. Self-censorship. The fear of offending. Alas. I don't like it when my favourites gallery is altered.

I've just finished a photo shoot with my girlfriend who has been kind enough to pose for some new drawings. I feel I cannot do her justice at this time and it is like tripping over a hurdle near the finishing line. I was at the head of the race for so long, feeling unstoppable, only to trip, fall and lose. [hmm...perhaps an over dramatic choice of analogy].

Alas, I cannot feed off frustration as I can with some other emotions.

Probably the worst factor is that I have no idea how long this will last.

At least I now have a job and income. I was really starting to worry about that recently.

Imagine then my surprise when [link] became somewhat of an overnight success. Although it was nowhere near on par with some artists out there, for me this is a significant step up. I do not believe this is my best work, but it is in the style I am now becoming comfortable with. I am more than thankful for this support and I just wanted to make my appreciation known.

I would also like to thank models Mars Ayane (mars-ayane) and Evon Tan (evont), as well as photographers Lee (surfrat13) and Lincoln Luke Chanis (equinoxe7) for their inspiration and support. Not only is their work amazing, but they have all been very positive about my portraits, which is a great feeling and I have only the best of wishes for all of them in their artistic endeavours.

Nothing about this is good. The song is bad, not only because of its laziness, but also its clumsiness; the art is bad - considering none of it was animated, the artist could have tried a little harder and worked outside of flash - which brings me to the flash work, which was very little. Out of all the millions of deviations, and the thousands of great artists here, why the fuck is this so popular? I really don't understand. Even the humour is poor. Fuck cute. There is better work out there.

My apologies to lynxgriffin, I realise you may have worked hard on that, but you are still overrated. Not your fault, but a flaw with the system. Sorry.

Alas, deviantart is deviating from art. Maybe I am not one to judge, I am not better than you, but that was simply my own opinion.
