Happy New Year!!!!


Nothing new to really talk about. Work is going well. They have decided to keep me on as part-time. Which is good for me. I can have days to go to the barn! I do have to work 2 weekend days, so there goes my Sunday afternoon with my friends. At least I've gotten Fridays off to spend at my church.

For the new year I have gotten myself a 1yr subscription! I'm loving it. Anyone know CSS? I'm not so good with those things. :/

I'm a cashier at Wally-World now. (Wal*Mart)
Sweetness. I'm making $8.40 an hour, and work 8 hours a day, five days a week. There goes my time at the barn.
Its not so bad. I'm still in training. Met some really interesting people on the job. Today was only my 2nd day though. I have to wear a santa hat.
One costumer even gave me a flower. I've had countless comments on my pink/magenta bangs, everyone loves it.

I did lock my keys in my car. That was fun.
I had to leave my car at my church for the day since I was going to boston with my mom and bestfriend then going back to the church in the afternoon, and I would need my car when I was done there. So I drop my car off, but my keys in my bag...then forgot to get the bag out of the car. So I then spent most of the time trying to get ahold of my brother Nate who had the other set of keys to the car. That all happened at around 9.30/10am. I go to boston, knowing I wont need the car till after 3pm. Get back to my church at about 4, still can't get ahold of Nate, so my dad's like call AAA. I'm like good idea! Then AAA came and I got my keys. I was happy.

My ex-bf is getting married.

Holy shit. I found out on sun. night from my best friend. Its been 2 1/2 years since I've seen him, or really talked to him. I'm really happy for him and all, but part of me wishes that I hadn't let him go. I woke up monday morning at 6am feeling sick, all just from worry/antiapation. I couldn't sleep well after that. I kept waking up about every 20 mins. I want to wait and see how long it takes him to tell me. He apparently perposed about 2 weeks ago. But part of me also wants to call him and tell him I heard the good news and that I'm happy for him, and see what he says.

I really have to go now though.

Its only been 2 weeks. But I feel like its been a month.
Last week was staff week, basicly just all the staff together doing the training for when camp starts. 1st session has been good so far. I love my cabin. We've had alot of fun.
As you can see I got some pictures in. That was from staff week, and the only reason I have them up is because I went home on thurs. for my graduation. I have my computer hook up. and I'll probably get around to downloading alot of them to a disc so I have room on my camera.
Its weird being able to go into the staff areas, when I couldn't for 4 years. But I'm getting used to real fast. I can even leave campus with some of the other staff. Its so nice to be able to go out. I've gone out and gotten real food at the mall nearby, Subway. Yum. I also got out and saw Click. That was an awesome movie. I love it. Not the kind of movie you would think Adam Sandler would be doing. But it was good.

So, it was almost a week ago that I went to Hershey, PA with my girl scout troop for the weekend. It was a blast. We left here at 4.30pm and drove on our tour bus to N. Andover to pick up the other troop from there that came with us. But of course what happened was I didn't know we where leaving at 4.30, I thought it was 5. My mom wasn't going to be home yet to get me there by 4.30, so one of my leaders had to come get me and we met the bus in N. Andover. Way to go Beth. We all made a joke of it, since this is my last year as a Sr. and I will be graduating up to the adult section of GS's, I had to go out kicking and screaming and making a big scene. As only I can do.
We had a 9 hour (?) drive to our motel in Intercourse, PA. (we loved that we got to sleep through Intercourse) We stayed at the Red Caboose Motel...real train cars. It was interesting. Mostly because we didn't get and into our rooms untill almost 1am. I spent a good 2 hours of our drive talking on the phone to a guy I like who lives in PA. When I told him where we where going he was like "coming to visit me?". I almost got him to come to Hershey park on Sunday to hang out with me and 2 other girls I hang out with from my troop. But he's a lazy bum and didn't come. Its ok though. He's coming to visit here on the 2nd. So I get to hit him for not coming last weekend.
Back on subject. We get into our rooms, my troop is only 7 girls, so we got a train car that has 10 beds. Well, it was nearly 2am when one leader comes and knocks and asks to use our toilet...we where like ok. All of us had been in bed already and the bathroom in the leaders room didn't have water. So she leaves, and 5 mins later she comes back in with another leader and they tell us they are bunking with us for the night since their room was infested with a few bugs...
We all stayed up untill 4.30 talking. We then got up at 7am to go out to Amish Country. We had a buggy tour at 9am. While on this tour, we passed by an amish farm that breeds and raises Morgan horses. They had a mama and foal out in the front paddock. Before I could say anything, one of my leaders turns to me and says "no. You can't take it home. We don't have room on the bus". I then spent the rest of the day trying to find some animal that could fit on the bus. I found a baby goat, and a bunny. But those too got veto-ed. as well as the 2nd colt I saw and wanted to bring home. The bus driving, I was informed, had forgoten to put on the trailer hitch. He got scolded for that by me.

The following day was Hershey day. We went to Chocolate World, and then to Hershey Park till closing. It was awesome. Me, Delia, and Steph went on all the roller coasters. Ended up spending an hour and a half in line for the Grande Rapids water ride.
The highlight of the intire trip was when we where pulling into the parking lot for the park, the sign on the Giant Center said that Kenny Chesney was playing that night. While eating lunch I saw his RV pull into the parking lot. I had a pair of khaki pants on, and of course had a black sharpie with me, so that if by any chance I saw him, he was signing my pants. I didn't see him. When we left the park at 10pm at closing, he was playing in the Giant Center. I was one football feild away from him. I went into histerics. I started crying. I was hyperventalating. I called my best friend, found out she was at her boyfriends, so I call him and when he handed his phone to her told her that it was her hysteric white friend.

I could kick my camera for not being usable right now. But I'm not sure that would help it any.
Since its out of work, ya'll will have to survive with just a journel update after.
I know. I know. Its no where near the same. Nothing I can do about it, yet. My dad is supossed to be getting it fixed this week, so I can take pictures in Hershey, PA this weekend.

I've had the worst morning in sometime. I read the e-mail wrong, thinking that it was cancelled and it turned out its not. I let Robin down because I told her I wasn't going to be going in today. and on top of that, the owners of Coconut where going to be coming to watch us on the hunt. so theres 3 more people I let down. My mom (and dad) aren't home, so I can't get the waiver form signed now, 'cause I could still get into Essex and go. But thats only if a really big miracle happens and one of my parents gets home like, now.
I hate being under 18. I've only got what, 7 months to go? damnit. I'm such a big idiot. I'm kicking myself so much right now. If I had just had my mom sign it anyway, before she left, I wouldn't be in this right now. I wouldn't be hating myself.

I'll go bury myself in a large hole now.

1. First time falling off: I was 15 and riding bareback on the beach, on a belgian gelding named Buck. He triped over himself, and I somersaulted over his shoulder.

I had to write in something else then my end of vacation update thing. So bare with me on newer updates.

April 25 -- Falling off hurts.

Yes it does. I suggest that you not do it. especily if its a 16.3 Irish draft.
I went out with Robin (lady I ride with) to a friends barn to ride some horses last tuesday. One of the horses, Jackson, hadn't been ridden since Aug. when Robin last rode him. Of the other 2, one hadn't been ridden in 2 years and for the other it was months. Robin lunged Jackson first, since he had tons of bucks in him. Then she got on him for a minute, then I got on him. He was fine for about 15-20 mins then he lost his balance and started bucking, I was like "ok you little dumby-head", then I lost my balance and fell off before I could grab mane or use a pully rein. X-( It all went in slow motion, untill of course I hit the ground. Then it just hurt. I got scraped up on my lower back (right where my pants could rub on them) and bruised since I landed on the backside of my right hip.
Waking up the next morning wasn't to fun. Everything hurt from the waist up.
Jackson is now staying at Robin's barn, so I'll probably be riding him some more now.

May 3rd -- Saying goodbye. New prospect. And hopeful after summer stuff.

Appollo has been sold. Robin's taking him to his new home tomorrow. He's been sold to a farm in CT. The place is called River Meadow Farm. I had my last ride on him on Monday. He was of course, a complete jerk the whole time. He sees a damn jump suddenly he becomes superhorse and thinks he's gonna jump it. He pulled my arms almost the whole ride, so the following day my shoulders where tense. I was just getting to know him, since I didn't ride him all winter since he was in Maine.
Poo.
Well, he's going to an amazing place. I can say that much.
Robin's checking out a new horse this weekend while she's at her other place in Maine. Its a 13h spanish mustang mare. So if she works out, Robin'll be being her down next weekend. I'll have a new pony to ride! She the cutest little thing. Just in time for me to play with her before I go to camp in June.
I have the novice level dressage test mostly memorized. I still have a problame remembering how I end up doing a right lead canter 20 meter circle.
Once I have that figured out I'll be all set for showing. ladeda.
I've talked to Robin about working at her barn on the weekends when she's away and needs someone to take care of things. I don't get my license untill Oct. But once I do, I can start working for her and buy the saddle I've been using. Plus, I can also work of board and bring a horse home for the winter to stay at her barn.

HOME! Oh how good it feels to be home again. My own bed is so very very comfortible. So much better then the hotel beds, comfortible as they are, they just aren't mine.
Anyway. Our days in Sedona where lots of fun. Dad had a great time hitting balls while my mom and I hit the trails. I rode a Morgan/TB gelding named Shrek, and my mom rode a draft/TB named Xena. It was fun. The best part was I wore a t-shirt that says "Keep staring. I might do a trick", and the two male trail guides we had kept asking me what trick I would do. It was funny. I love that shirt. Plenty of pictures of that adventure to come in due time.
After picking my dad up from the country club, we headed off the lunch. We ended up at a resurant called The Cowboy Club, one of the items on the menu was Rattle Snake soup, with real rattle snake meat. I stayed with something safe, and had pulled pork with a raspberry and plum BBQ sauce. It was very good. My dad had buffalo, my mom had a vegi wrap of some kind.
Not much else to do in Sedona but to go about the shops. We did go out and check out some vortex sites. I stayed in the car while mom and dad went and hiked about the big rocks. I ended up with a Sedona shirt saying "On the rocks" and another that was dyed with the red dirt of Sedona saying "Lifes Short. Play Dirty". My mom wanted my to get a shirt that said "Dirt Don't Hurt" instead.
On our last night in Sedona, we stopped into a Cold Stone Creamery ice cream shop and got some ice cream, then went out side the the outdoor seating and watched five (yes five) Golden Eagles circle around above us and around the rocks. It was amazing. I wish it hadn't been over cast, other wise I would have gotten better pictures of them. The ones I have just look like spots in the sky. You'll see them though. Probably in scraps.
After that is was a drive to Pheniox, AZ on Sat. and then our flight home at 5am. We had to leave our hotel at 3.30am. But it was made up for while we where waiting to board. We got called up to the check in desk and got told that we had a full flight and that we had to be moved up to first class. We got an awesome breakfast, and really big comfy seats. It so much easier to sleep in those seats then it is in coach. Then we had a plane change in Housten, TX. It wasn't long till we where back in Boston.
I still have yet to get out to the barn and see my ponies. But I will soon.
Its good to be home. Even if I still havn't gotten back into eastern timing. I'm still feeling like I'm over in AZ, three hours behind myself right now.

H'oky. So. We left off on Saturday. Right.
Sunday was the last day of the meet. I got to see my friend Ivan lift. I hadn't known that he was lifting in this meet untill the night before. He did well on his first snatch, but while waiting for his next lift he got a cramp in his right calf and passed on his last two snatchs. He did however, make all three of his clean and jerks. It was good seeing him, hadn't seen him for some time. If you want more info on olympic style weightlifting, go here.
When I left the meet later after about 3 hours there, I was the only one on the shuttle back to our hotel. I had a nice chat with the driver. Who was cute by the way. Geuss what most of our conversation was about....

If you geussed the weather, you're right. We talked about the seasons, and the difference between New England and the southwest. I was hoping to see him again before we left for AZ (and get his name ). But I didn't. We left El Paso at around 6am. We got into Flagstaff, AZ about 3pm western. or something like that.
Tuesday we went out to see some old Hopie indian runes. It was interesting. Not majorly stimulating, but then I'm not much of one for native american stuff. We had dinner at this awesome place called Black Bart's. Its a resurant with live entertianment, the waiters. Most of them are music students at Arizona U. So different waiters are up on stage singing at different times, unless they are all singing together. They mostly sang musicals, like Fiddler on the Roof, Pirates of Pensance, The Little Mermaid, Sound of Music...etc. It was so awesome. I wish we had a place like that back home. My best friend would have to work there. She has an amazing voice. Though, she sounds best when her and I are doing duats. Anyway. It was fun. Our waiter dude was cute. His name is Matt.
Today we went off on a tour of the Grand Canyon. I don't know what the big deal is. Its a really big crack, in an even bigger rock. Whatever. I got a few good shots of it, plus a cute squirrel who was hanging out near where we were standing before lunch , before my battery died. I learned alot about our tour guide during lunch. His name is Dominic Standingbear, he's a Pequat indian from CT. He once trained and sold thoroughbred racehorses many years ago, as well as did 7th level dressage with a big black andalusian stallion (untill he got collic and passed). He's now leasing the arab he has to a girl for $200 a month, she pays vet, feed...etc. The $200 is going into a savings account for her to go to college. He also told me to look up __insert name here__ in KY when I'm out there for school, and wherever I want to go with horses, this guy can get me there. My mom wrote down his name. I can't remember it right now.
Tomorrowmy dad is going golfing while my mom and I are going on a 1 1/2 hour Jeep tour of the Canyon, followed by an hour horseback ride...somewhere. My mom made all the arrangments. I'll have plenty of horsey pictures up soon.
I realized today that I reall miss Appollo. I can't wait to get home and take him out on the trails again. Plus, on the 26th I get to take him to a small jumping show. I had a very long time spent on 2 planes crossing 2 times zones on Thursday. Its very hard to sleep on a plane, unless you have no one sitting next to you and you can stretch out. We got to our hotel (holiday inn) and relaxed and did some time catch up, or rather catch back since we went back 2 hours. We had left a little after 4am to get to Logan Airport by 5am to be on ourplane at 6.15am. We had a 3 hour layover at the Chicago O'Hare airport at 8am eastern, making it 7am central. The flight we took from there left at 11.30am central and brought us into El Paso at 1.30pm mountian. I had gained 2 hours, but felt like I had lost 2 hours of my life.
We past over some of the most boring land, but I did get some really nice shots of Boston as we took off at sunrise. I also managed to get a shot of crop circles in some part of Texas.
Friday found my mom leaving at about 8am or 8.30am-ish to being ready to work at 9am. I didn't get up till 9.30am when my dad told be too, telling me that at home it would already be 11.30. At this I thought to myself "yeah. and I would still be sleeping." But I got up anyway, got dressed and my dad and I went to Denny's for breakfast. Which was followed by my dad dropping me off at the hotelso he could go to Sunland Park Casino and Racetrack in New Mexico. (Did I mention the we are less then 10 minutes away from both New Mexico and Mexico?) Meanwhile, I went and grabed my cd player and camera and headed down to the lobby for the shuttle to the compatition. I spent only about 3 hours there, which is a really long time to spend at a weightlifing meet if your not part of the competers. Only saw a few army boys. But what I saw I did like. It was dinner for just me and my dad, as my mother wasn't getting back till around midnight.
Today has been a lazy day. I got up at (again) 9.30 after my dad got back from taking my mom to a Wal*greens to pick up a perscription that she had forgoten at home, and then to the competition. He came back with some pasteries, and then we headed off to the Mckelligon Canyon, located in the mountian range of Fort Bliss. Its home to a bunch of wildlife including mountian lions, though we did not see any wildlife at all. bummer. I got a huge chain of shots of the mt range. My best friends mom is going to love me for all the shots I have. Our vacation bible school theme this year is a Mexican Fiesta! Back to present time here. After our trip to the canyon, we made our way over to a Justin boot factory outlet, where my dad bought me a coybow hat and a Justin boots visor. My trip is now complete.
I finally got out by the outdoor pool to sun myself and fix my nailpolish today (have I mentioned how much I love this hotel? they have an outdoor pool, plus an indoor pool that is also part of another outdoor pool ). This made me very happy. I only spent a short amout of time out there, but I still sustianed a sunburn on my left arm up onto my shoulder blade. My father had thrown the sunscreen at me, but I had forgotten it on my bed. Smart me. I'm thinking now I should have painted my nails red to match my new burn. But no. They are a purty shade of shiney silver with black excents, my toes match (which is an amazing thing in and of its self). I got a new memory card today for my camera. Its 512mb. I can take up to 1101 pictures!! -hyperventalation-
Up untill now I only had a teeny tiny 16mb memory card, that only took 33 pics. I'm so insanely happy. I started hyperventalating and nearly crying from joy when I put it in and turned the camera on to see how many I got to play with.

Besides my being over joyed with my new toy, I'm going to TX/AZ for 10 days with my parents! :w00T: I get to spend 4 days near/on an army bass in El Paso for the American Masters Weightlifting competition. 4 days of hot men in uniform.
Then its off to Sadona for touristy stuff. Fun fun. The best part...I HAVE 1101 PICTURES TO TAKE! (if not more)

Ok. I had this great to go through all of my pictures in my main photobucket account into its own account just for Ending in Y Photography (since it has a size limit to the free accounts and I had reached that limit with all the other stuff on it) and put a (c) on them. Smart, huh? Easy, right? HA! I couldn't open another account with the same e-mail address as the other one, so I had to make a new one, just for that photobucket account. I'm a genuiss. So now that I have that set up, I have to go through all the photos in the other account and the ones here on DA that aren't on photobucket. And I then have to upload them to the new account and then update all the old pictures here. Its insanly slow work.
Every once and a while I'll have to take a break and and do a little .

On top of all that, I have a cold. And my best friend has started dragging me to the YMCA to workout. I never knew just how much you use the muscles in your armpits/boob area untill now.

Jackie, the woman who owns Pina, will be starting show training with Pina soon. She does combined driving. She also needs a navagator. I'm gonna talk to her and see if I could help her with that. I'll get paid for each show too! I love my horsie life.
Robin has brought Appllo back from her daughters place in Maine. I got to take him to the beach. I forgot how springy his trot is, its like riding a pogo stick. Someone is coming to look at him on Sunday, she might buy him.
Baby Pony is looking really cute, still has no name. Robin is probably going to breed Bonnie to Pride when he gets older. So we have a Irish Draught/TB cross to look forward to. Pride has been changing colors, again...Robin and I think he's going white.

Can't wait for summer. I go to camp on June 18th and do my CIT duties for 5 weeks! Many pictures to be expected.

Someone just give me a so I can have my prince now. I'm tired of being single.

Driving school is over. I still have 6 hours of driving to do with them...plus 6 hours of observation. It was so much fun. Ellie got to come and take the class with me. YAY! So that made it all the more better. We met this guy named Eric, he was making up some classes he had missed before so he was there 3 out of the 5 days. Its funny the kind of people I make friends with. Its always the "weird" people. I love it. He likes me. I've never really had to deal with this sort of thing. So its all kinda strange. He just wants to be friends, so it makes it easier. I'm glad I didn't have to say no to him. It kills me to do that. Even more so when I like the guy.

On another note, Robin called the other day and said it looks like Bonnie is going to foal this week. YES! So I'll be out there all week, and probably staying a few nights over at the barn. Sweet. I also am going to help Robin set up a website. She's paying me for my time too. Do any of you know any good hosting sites, besides freeservers.com?
