MENTALLY speaking, FAT is not just a few extra curves or bumps. In the eyes of our society (people in GENERAL), it is a negative and disgusting trait to have. Gaining excess fat is a something people avoid as it does not fit the "ideal image" of man or woman. EMOTIONALLY speaking, it is depressing and shameful to be fat. Many eating disorders stem from these feelings.

My question is: how did this all begin? I'm not a biology expert or anything but I do think that it's because we subconsciously associate skinny with being healthy. And, you know, healthy = higher chances of producing healthy babies. But, society seems to have taken this notion and EXPLOITED it, ruthlessly, to epic proportions. Countless number of ads containing sexual innuendo have ingrained the skinny ideal image of the female body and the buff ideal image of guys within our brains. "You have to look like this or you won't be happy," is that message the media is getting across. It's no wonder that we are being plagued with eating disorders.

Now, I know a lot of average and heavy people who are perfectly okay with their bodies. Then again, I know a lot of people who suffer from these eating disorders. I personally REALLY envy the former group. Beauty is a powerful thing to have when it comes to first impressions. I've seen both worlds b/c my face is plain/neutral, and I have been that 115lbs trendy Asian bitch and that 150lbs He-She. I can have people totally dismiss my presence or intimidate guys with a smile like Sayuri in "Memoirs of a Geisha." I personally hate this about being human because I'm very guilty of this. We all are.
ANYWAY, oftentimes, people with the right looks really do get the upperhand when applying for jobs, w/e or just getting attention in general. Don't believe me? Ask Tyra Banks.. or watch her show LOL More reason to vomit out that lasagna you had for dinner, EH?

I don't know how the statistics are right now for eating disorders, whether or not its rates are increasing or decreasing, but I see it as an epidemic. It's grown to such an extreme that people are growing more and more desensitized. Ie) "OMG STOP VOMITING IN THE SINK!! THE SINKS NOT MADE FOR PEOPLE TO VOMIT IN!! OMG JUST DRINK WATER IT HAS NO CALORIES AND IT MAKES YOU FULL OKAYYYYYY??!!!!!!!" <-- the very words of my friend's mother =D

I, myself, have suffered from anorexia, bulimia and binge eating, so this subject really does hit home. Why am I coming out? B/c .. dude what other example can I use lol I'm not going to exploit others for the sake of this essay. And I'm not trying to be an attention whore or anything, I just want to talk about this on a more personal level but w/e you're entitled to your own opinion.
I have heard comments claiming that people with eating disorders, poor self-esteem and such are narcassists, in the sense that they are obsessed with their appearances and care little about anything else. Dude, WHY THE FUCK would you LABEL people like that. First it's, "You're such a pig, stop eating!" and now it's, "You are weak for worrying so much about your weight. It is a sin. Stop being a narcassist." I swear, the world is so rotten because of indifference. Can you really blame a person for wanting to be more beautiful? LOL It sounds funny but like I said, beauty = power = respect = ^self-esteem = a big deal for ppl who are deficient of love and nurture in their life. Can you blame a person for wanting it to such an extreme that they will jeopardize their health for it so that they can EARN our respect and attention. Remember, these people have been bombarded with images of the perfect body for some time now thanks to the media.
However, I won't deny the fact that this want is selfish.. AS WITH ANY OTHER KIND OF WANT so what's the point of being so negative about it @_@ anything can look selfish under the fluorescent lighting of cynicism. "Oh that girl who does charity work? She just wants social status. Oh that guy giving up his seat for that old lady? He only wants that girl's attention."
I mean, if you want to revert people to healthier ways of viewing themselves LOL don't call them a narcassist.. the negatives won't cancel eachother out in this case. and lucid dreaming is when you're dreaming and you KNOW it and basically you rule over the dream world like a god and you can do anything. i sometimes ask myself if i'm asleep in my dreams but then i always push away the thought b/c i never ever experience any godlike powers @_@ i just go straight to sleep paralysis.. i only answer yes when i know a nightmare's approaching. yeah, it's really creepy.

i love this guy.

but he's got me wondering... wouldn't you say that a person's behaviour is like the answer to a very long and very complex mathematical formula? our whole life is being reflected in every single decision we make. everything we've experienced, learned, etc. is behind all our actions.... GOD my english is dreadful i can't explain myself atm. anyway, in that case, if we knew all the factors that lead an individual into making a certain decision and behaving a certain way and worked out that formula, wouldn't our answer be 100% accurate? or is there something else that i'm missing. it's just an idea for a story i'm making HAR.

i'm getting sick of overly critical people. sick of people telling me what's good and what's bad... there's no such thing. life is only in shades of gray, not black and white. people shouldn't try to live up to such unrealistic concepts. we've all got flaws. if you think and feel that you should change, then do it, but do it for yourself and not for others. sorry for being general, i'm lazy but still emotionally charged enough to rant.

today..... i turned off my dignity like a faucet.... bought a cookie house kit thing for my bro b/c it was dead cheap and looked fun to make... i read the ingredients... wow how can some people eat these things like everyday? i only recognized 2 ingredients out of the 100. urgh. anywho we still ate some of it and that's why i feel guilty :\ and sluggish
i really wanna be a livingfoodist.. i was raw before for like 3 weeks until i got an allergic reaction to some durian and my mom practically shoved chicken soup down my throat -.= so weird b/c i've never reacted to durian like that before.. now i absolutely hate it :\ but yo, those 3 weeks were like ahhhh enlightment. i had so much energy and my synapses wree working quicktime, which was a huge + b/c i was working as a daycare assistant at the time

today i was hit by a little little lightning bolt from heaven.

grr what is up with ppl having no respect? what is up with me for not demanding it? you know what the odd thing was tho? i didnt even think twice about it until my sister and friend spazzed out on me for doing it. lmao i hate being slow sometimes >.<

ive noticed that a lot of ppl who do their own manga are much like their characters. like i make up a lot of stories and and i feel that its integral for each and every character to have some portion of me in them... (even tho it may not seem like it) cuz in order to make something really good you gotta put yourself in the story right? i dunno sometimes i feel like im being too repetitive in my stories, always the same type of characters...

shes supposed to be very attractive.. altho i dont draw it well lol shes wears a mask to hide it

her numbness... it reflects itself in her face

History

all deceased. she was brought up by a bunch of monks and later taken away by a rebel group's leader, Baiu, who saw a fierce fighting potential in her

2)Is your character out on his/her own? If so, why?
in the beginning somewhat. she was captured at a young age by slavers and managed to escape from them with the help of a family friend.. from that point she was alone until the monks come along

3)Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?
as a child yes but she can't remember any of them due to the severe mental impact.. uh she watched her village being destroyed.. and her baby sister was bashed against a wall.. mother was brutally raped... a few small details for you lol zomg poor girl

4)What was probably the best time in his/her life so far?
escaping from baiu with her new friends, thats the time when she started feeling emotions

her mother died giving birth to her, leaving her father unstable and sometimes malicious... um her brothers on rehab lol screwed up family. usually its her uncle and god family that takes care of her

somewaht... in the beginning and end no.. in the middle shes stuck with this delivery dood whos supposed to take her to hell
