Long time, no blog. I'm past apologizing, deal with it!
But, because its been forever long I finally have news, I have a reason for it! I have been working with the fine folks at 70/30 Studios designing cartoons! Pretty awesome, and sorry for not sharing sooner, but I gotta play by the rules! So yea, I'm going to be helping them out and will be moving to the ATL in May, which is pretty exciting. For those of you who are still saying, "Um, that's kinda cool but who is 70/30?" ----Well, I'm glad you asked! 70/30 is a swell animation studio that brought you such great cartoons as Sea Lab 2021
And currently the greatly funny Frisky Dingo;
(who's first season is now on DVD, and is worth every penny, so go pick it up!)

But this is why art has slowed down a tad, and I am still taking on commissions, but they just haven't been posted as regularly. I'm pretty pumped to be apart of the team, during my visit everyone seemed super awesome, so moving day in May can't come soon enough. I'll still keep on top of comics, it's my love, but it will be nice to collaborate on something this big with other artists. Gonna be a great ride!
The trip to Atlanta itself was alright, I live in Maine, and flew out of Boston, but dropped my car off in New Hampshire, so it was a lot of travel. 4hrs to NH, Hour and a half into Boston, then the 2 hour flight into ATL. Pretty exhausting, but well worth it to meet Neal (art director of 70/30 and writer and toner for Giant Killer Turtle) and his super great friends, and co workers. Finding an apartment itself while in Atlanta was kinda exhausting. Saw one real shit hole in particular. In a part of town I wasn't to keen on, we saw a 3 bedroom with piss stained carpet, a wall that had been chewed through by a dog and a bedroom with an old stained chair in the middle of walls covered floor to ceiling in maxim magazine covers.... But, thankfully I was told the paint underneath the Maxim 'wallpaper' could be removed and had fresh paint underneath. Yea, I don't think the rank semen stains could be removed from that floor no matter how hard it was scrubbed. No thanks....
On top of this I had another Land Lady tell me if I asked if the neighborhood was safe she would bitch-slap me. No thanks...
But by monday I had signed a lease and am now the proud renter of what should be a cool apt. And, their is a good chance I'll be able to hit up Dragon-Con! WOOP!

But that is what is new with me, Next blog should happen fairly soon, and have some important news on Giant Killer Turtle, and Rex O'Bannon, that I just can't tell you yet (sorrrrr'ay!) I've also got a slew of LOTR cards and some Marvel Masterpiece cards that I NEED to get commissioned before I move, I posted them, so please make me an offer!!!

Hey There Dev-Heads,

It's been a while, so here is your Update on the doings of your own,
Absinthe-Man!
Well, dispite the lack of updates, I have been busy, very busy actually, working on a submission with with a good friend and super talented writer, Erick Hogan. For those of you that don't know Erick, he did the awesome book H@L with Deviant Arts favorite son Crisis-Hour [link]
I guess we'll have to wait and see how the submission goes, but you can bet your bottom dollar I'll post the pages after they get lettered! I think you'll all like it
And in personal stuff, I got engaged, like back in August, but i suppose since my last update was in Feb that's new news to you, and I also went to the Joe Kubert School, for two whole weeks! I guess it just wasn't for me, but I did make some great friends and got to see some comic legends up close and personal! Very cool.

Alrighty that about wraps things up. If you have questions or want to talk please feel free to hit up my aim, I don't bite, in fact, I'm really quite pleasant

Thank you all!
As for news, I have had some pretty exciting stuff happen, Firstly, my first every peice of published work appeared in Speakeasy's Hero@Large!!! Look in the back and there you will see one of my favorite characters 'Diesel' from the first issue. Special thanks to Erick Hogan and Crisis for that! Oh, and if you have any doubts about this title, pick up a copy of the latest Wizard and read the secret stash. You won't regret picking this up!
More good news! I just recieved my acceptance letter from the Joe Kubert school of art and design! Not sure if I'll be able to attend, still have to crunch some numbers, but good news still!

Well, that's it for now, thanks again everyone!

Hey everyone, it's that time of the year again! Back to school for me, but finally my last one...man-o-man I cannot wait to graduate.

As far as drawing goes, I'm putting all the time I can now into a new series from Atomic Pop Art. Not really sure what I can say about it other than it's going to rock your socks. Awesome concept and characters, it's a real joy to be part of the team. So, if I post less often it's because I'm doing school stuff or drawing this book and can't post, but I'll see if I can't pull a few strings and put a couple images up for you all.

Other than that and a butt load of reading things have been pretty calm, but I do have a question for you all. I went to visit the Joe Kubert School of Art and Design last year and thought it seemed like a great place. However I have heard some negative things about the school as well as the good and was wondering what others have heard or experienced? So, please let me know your opinions because the application is sitting on my desk right now.

Thank you all,

Hey Everyone!
I'm back from my trip to Wizard World Chicago, my first convention ever, and I have to say I had a great time and it's nice to know I'm not alone, tons of people from collectors to artists, it was great! I brought my portfolio, mini-comics, and a outline for the book I've been working on and presented it to AP Comics, Alias, Ape Entertainment, Speakeasy, and some others. Not sure if anyone will bite, but everyone was nice and gave me some great comments on my pages! I was happy, I guess I thought most pro artists and editors were going to torch it, but it really seemed they liked what they saw! The editor at Ape actually said he'd like to see some pages from me and it supposed to call or something, so that's pretty neat!
I also got to meet some of my heroes and find some new one's. I met Skottie Young, Ryan Ottley (invincible), Robert Kirkman, J Bleep (urban sequence), and Devart's favorite son Sean 'Cheeks' Galloway, who is a very cool dude. Actually everyone I met was very, very nice!
So I got to hang out with everyone, look at all the cool art and creators and have a great time, it rocked! In fact, I'm thinking of maybe getting a booth of my own for next year!
And now that the Con is over, my mini-comic is done, and school is almost here again, I think I'm going to hunt down a colorist to do a few pages, send out some submission packages, and get to work on a few other projects I havn't devoted enough time to lately.

Thanks again Everyone!
Hey everyone!

Thankyou too everyone whose added me to their favorites and friends lists, it really means a lot to me! Your comments and views are helping me to produce even more work, so please keep writing and i'll keep drawing!

News: Well, tomorrow is my last day of figure drawing class (a HUGE help), thus ending summer classes all together *whew* then its more drawing comic stuff. I'm working on inking my stuff to bring to the chicago comic con (just ordered my tickets yay!), then clean it up, throw some sound effects and things in. if anyone knows of a talented colorist who wouldn't mind throwing some colors down on 4 or 5 pages for cheap let me know cuz i'll be looking.
Then its getting started in a brand new project which is still hush hush but I'll share anything I can, I think you'll all like it.

And thats it, thanks again everyone, your a big help!
