Tagged me and like a tool I'm going to do this. He's lucky I haven't spoken to him in some time and I'm feeling generous. Or not. I dunno.

1. I carry things in my mouth. No seriously. I do it all the time, even on the street. Carrying shopping in two hands getting too much for me? Pop a bag in between my jaws. Got a knife I need to hold whilst I get out a plate and various other utensils? In between the teeth it goes.

2. I get absolutely no love whatsoever from any company I send off to. Job hunting is hard when everyone turns you down before even getting an interview. If any animation or illustration companies are reading this right now(shyeah right), I am more than willing to work for you.

3. I am currently still working on an animation with a friend. This week it's been super disappointing when I discovered I forgot how to animate. Well done me.

4. I flirt too much. I'm engaged now, and I'm still doing it. Most the time without realising. It's pretty problematic.

5. I got to play the Crash Course campaign on Left 4 Dead(probably my favourite game of recent) and actually really enjoyed it. A rarity in the Valve fanbase. Enjoying content that is. I didn't even mind paying for it.

6. I HATE turn base. Ironic, I know, since Pokemon is what I'm known for and what got me into video games in the first place, but I HATE turn base. Like, literally loathe it. What is the freaking point in letting your enemy hit you by standing around like a jackass? DEFEND YOURSELF! That's not to say I hate RPGs. I love the unwraveling stories, and even the level up system, I just can't STAND the standing around crap. I may try the Tales series. I hear that's pretty good.

7. I don't watch a lot of movies. Ask me about a famous movie, actor or actress and chances are I've never heard of them. The last film I saw in the cinemas was Transformers 2. It was pretty horrific. Did you hear Megan Fox is going to be in the next Batman, as Catwoman? She's going to make it suck. Horribly.
But who cares, right? She's hot and that's all that matters, right?

8. SpringLoaded is actually my 5th Comic series;
-"Strolling in the Park of Psychotic Hobos" was the first, a collab comic with Erin(of AoA fame), Brad(whom hosted three of these comic series) and Brass(who's a p. cool guy). Starred four characters(one for each of us) and was pretty random and thus couldn't last.
-"Cel Struck" was a comic I did back when I started university. Basically about four animals that lived together. Rick(badger), Sho(beaver), Beefy(Rhino) and Ilex(Squirrel). Was pretty good, but suffered from lack of structure.
-"Museless" started as a joke, about how I was struggling with comics to do for Cel Struck, but ended up replacing it. Starred myself as a struggling comic maker and my friend Sniper Kitty. Was scrapped when Anime Arcadia basically did the same idea. But better. Jerks.
-"Ace of Abra" probably what I'm best 'known' for. A comic about an apprentice of Saffron City Gym in the Pokemon world, and his Abra. The series has been on and off since I got into the Pokemon franchise, but was scrapped last year due to various things. Potentially may make a few one offs. We'll see.
-"SpringLoaded" the comic I'm doing now. Go check it out if you can.

Despite the fact I'm male, I don't quite understand certain aspects of the male psyche. Football for one thing(british kind, not the psuedo-rugby american version) absolutely baffles me. Running around in shorts in the freezing cold(or blistering heat), chasing a ball around a patch of dirt with other sweaty, and often violent men for an hour and a half?

Screw that. Screw that hard until it screams and concerned neighbours peek through their curtains whilst frantically dialing 999 with their spare digits.

Men seem to love watching this too, which is probably why TV execs have gotten fed up with trying to appeal to the male audience. I rarely watch TV these days, except a few comedy shows, because mostly all that's on are a.) horrible reality TV shows designed to torture the contestants(I'm a Celebrity) or the viewers(X factor) with the catawalling from the previously mentioned contestants
or b.) Self help shows designed to humiliate the person they're so supposedly "helping". These range from anywhere between mocking the persons lack of fashion sense to convincing them to take a blade to their face in the hopes that someone can slice them pretty.

These shows, it has to be said, are aimed at women. It's a proven fact that more women tune in to the reality TV shows, and are often the one's voting for their favourites. This in turn is encouraging TV networks to continue to churn out this bile.

And you know who's fault it is?

Us. The male populace. Yes, myself and anyone else with a Y chromosone is to blame here. If we weren't so preoccupied with sport, or drinking down the pub(or in my case simply playing Xbox or playing in Flash), maybe the execs would try a little harder towards producing something aimed at male audiences. Perhaps something that doesn't fall into one of the lame catogaries we're usually pinned with: Booze, Babes and Balls(of the sport variety).

Or maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way round, and it's actually women who enjoy the idea of interactivity in what they watch. If this is the case, guys, I urge you to encourage your wives, girlfriends, fiances, sisters, mothers, aunts, nieces, cousins and grandmothers to start video gaming. In the long run Â£40 for a game that'll last you hours of entertainment is cheaper than texting in at Â£1.50 per text for half a seconds worth of interactivity.
Maybe then we'll get something good on the box again.

b.) a lackluster start which doesn't seem to lead anywhere (like Ace of Abra...also SpringLoaded v.1...man, I really messed that comic up).

This is strange because I have been writing stories for long enough now to know how to write a decent narrative, which makes me wonder what the heck kind of problem I have when it comes to making a comic...

That is until now. I think I worked it out. When I start a comic I get excited, and half plan the thing to death...for example, Ace of Abra was meant to travel throughout the entirety of the Hoenn region, until we got to the Jay fight which both sapped my love for the comic and most of your attention. It was a fun fight, but it was loooooong and I had no scene planned for after.
Accepting so many people into the comic surely didn't help either.

SpringLoaded the original was also planned to include all kinds of sexy stuff...so what happened? I planned the ENDING and not the beginning. This was p. stupid of me.

Long story shortened down, I'm restarting SpringLoaded for sure with less characters and more to the point stuff.

The REAL point in this is to ask if anyone is still interested in Ace of Abra? Yes, I'd probably do a new Ace of Abra story too guys set a few months or so after the first. Opinions are welcome.

Of course, there are some things I make time for. I make time for friends and loved ones(but then again, you ARE meant to), I make time for checking up on people, seeing if they're alright.

I'm currently ALSO making time to put some effort in with animation work. I know it's hard to believe, since I never upload any here(that silly Abra dance aside), but I can animate, and animate well. Time to rectify this before I'm stuck in a dead end boring job my entire life.

Now on to the other information:

CALLING ALL POKEMON ARTISTS:
Summer is coming up. I usually enjoy doing one summery pic a year and as such I want YOU to draw YOUR Pokemon character on the beach, having some summary fun so that I may attempt to collage them all into one big summer time picture.

The requirements are the following:

1.Draw you(or your original character) and ONE Pokemon(ONE please) having some summary fun at a beach. Can be whatever you like...beach volleyball, surfing, sunbathing, whatever you can think of that represents summer. The exception to the one Pokemon thing is if you're a rescue team kind of comic(looks at Don) I'll let you have up to three then.

2.As it's a beach pic it's recommended that all characters be in swim/beach gear.

3.Deadline is August 1st. I don't want to miss the summer this time.

4.I'm actually gonna allow Pokemorphs/Pokefurries for this, as it's a picture about unitedness within the Pokemon art community. They may look a little odd next to humans who train Pokemon and force them to fight(come on...you know that's gonna be awkward), but it's about unitedness.

5. You may have more than one entry, but depending on the amount of entrants I may or may not have to limit this rule.

So I've come into a large sum of debt at the moment, and unfortunately for me it appears to be harder to get a job at the moment than it is to get pandas to mate in a stream of enraged hornets. That are on fire. In a warehouse full of oil kegs.

Anyway.

The point is Ace is wondering(that's right guys, just wondering at the moment) if he started taking commisions, whether anyone would actually be interested in paying him for an art piece of their choice.

You're probably wondering what's up for offer aren't you?

Ace will quite happily draw the following:
Single character shots, action shots, group shots, comics, DA IDs, title pages for your comics, backgrounds...

...and etchi if needs be. *sells soul*

Ace draws the line however at the following:

Today's contestants are my characters from Generic Fantasy RPG. Ironically all related.

1. Boy or Girl?
Lotte: Girl, but I'm strong enough to lead the pack without being one of those cliche bitchy females who threaten everyone with violence because they suffer from constant PMS.
Mitch: Male.
Kandy: As most the men in the village will tell you, I'm all woman!
Gazdook: I think it's obvious I'm a man.

2. How old are you, and what grade are you in?
Lotte: 18, and I left the royal city college last year
Mitch: 18. Self taught in the art of traps and weaponry.
Kandy: 18(we're triplets

). Education has never been important to me
Gazdook: 20. I've been training to be a soldier for the past ten years

3. Life expectancy?
Lotte: Being a Lycanthrope, we can live a long long life...no one's actually reached the old age of a were creature because to be honest...we always seemed to get killed off by something before that, be it another were, a human with a vendetta against us for turning their father into a beta were creature or just generally from getting into fights with creatures. We're pretty resiliant though and survive most disease and wounds so dying of illness isn't a problem.
Mitch: I think Lotte explained it all.
Kandy: I live life to the largest now, forget how long I've got left to live.
Gazdook: Being the only human here, I'm expected to live...til the age of 80 is it now? I don't really know.

4. Heights?
Lotte: 5' 10" normal, 6'10" Were Rabbit
Mitch: 6' 2" normal, 7' 10" were rabbit
Kandy: 5' 8 normal, 5' 8" were rabbit
Gazdook: 5' 11"...I don't have a were form, because AGAIN...I'm a human. Don't lump me with those three.

5: Jobs?
Lotte: In the past I used to go on missions of peace for my village. However I soon got bored of that and instead decided to become a thief. At current I am keeping my own flock out of trouble, and I guess my official job title now would be that of "adventurer leader".
Mitch: I'm in charge of weapons and traps creation at the swamp rabbit village. I can enfuse magical essence into the traps to make them more effective.
Kandy: It's not really my job, but I do help expand the village by having sex, having kids and creating betas from humans, elves, dwarves and such.
Gazdook: My job as an enforcer means I have to track down criminals that have broken the law of the king. Lotte is the ringleader of the current criminal group I'm tracking.

6. Favourite color:
Lotte: Red. I wear warm colours to reflect my warm personality.
Mitch: Green. Like me it's pretty neutral and laid back.
Kandy: Pink. Girly, flirty and fun. Just like me. :3
Gazdook: Ice blue. Matches my magic skill and my attitude towards Lotte's group.

7. Favourite Food:
Lotte: Fish or meat. You'd think I'd like carrots being a bunny girl, but we're actually omnivores. I cook pretty well.
Mitch: Fish as well. Good brain food.
Kandy: Sweets like chocolate and well...my name sake.
Gazdook: A healthy meal is the best if you wish to stay one step ahead of everyone else. That and ice cream...

8. Favourite Ice cream?
Lotte: Raspberry Ripple.
Mitch: Mint choc chip. Who doesn't like that?
Kandy: Big fan of those rich ice creams you get...strawberries and cream is my favourite.
Gazdook: All of them. I love ice cream. No seriously...it's a weakness.

9. Have you Killed anyone?
Lotte: No. Against my morals to kill anyone...maiming and beating someone to a pulp who attacks you however is perfectly acceptable. I've killed a lot of animals for food tho.
Mitch: Almost killed Gazdook when he attacked our village...my traps may have caused a few deaths however...
Kandy: I've sent a few lucky men to heaven but no one's died as such
Gazdook: Regrettably I may have to kill in the future, but as of yet I haven't.

A: Haha. At 19? No. I guess Pokemon can count as they're dependables. Mind you that means Keith also counts.

A: I like fish a lot. Seaking can taste good if cooked right. Good brain food, ya know?

A: Raspberry Ripple's good. But Mango can be nice too.

A: Good god. I'm a Pokemon Gym Apprentice. We don't kill people...;; At least...I don't think we do...

A: Keith. Seriously. Keith just drives me nuts sometimes with his competitiveness, laziness and general pining for Erin. He also gets me into trouble a lot. Brendan's another guy I know I don't like. Same with Surge. Justin and me don't see eye to eye either much, and lastly...Abra. That unloyal guy annoys me a lot. He's not so bad as of recent, but he used to be a real pain to train.

Q: Have any secrets?
A: Pinkie's real hair colour is actually blonde. She started dyeing it pink when she was 7, and never really grew out of it. Her real name isn't Pinkie either, but she'll kill me if I tell you that.

Q: Do you love anyone?
A: Like previously mentioned, there are three girls I get paired with a lot. It's upto you lot to guess who I like. It may not even be any of them. >.>

A: Saffron City Gym Apprentice. I take my job very seriously, even though I'm not exactly...amazing yet.

A: Umm...well...I don't have a set mate...a ladies man like myself, settles down with no one pokemon! I guess Ditto would be the ultimate spouse however...any Pokemon I wanted...imagine the fun in that...>

A: Mago Berry is pretty good. However, I'll eat whatever Ace's eating normally.

A: Well...I may have accidentally killed one Pokemon...he was pretty evil however, and was planning to destroy Saffron City's Pokemon.

A: Hmm...Ace can get on my wick. I hated him when we first set out, since he tries to freaking control me all the time. I sorta hate a lot of the powerful Pokemon I've fought against however...guess that makes me a little bit shallow, eh? Guess I sort of hate Machop at times too however. She beats on me for no reason! Even when I try to respect her! I don't even treat her like I treat most female Pokemon! Gah!

Q: Have any secrets?
A: Many. I know what's going to happen in the comic ya see...mind reader.

Other than that however, I know all about Sabrina's dark past, about Ace's pathetic attempts to improve his subpar telekinesis skills and about Chris and Sabbith, whom Ace knows not of at the moment. I also understand why Justin, Ace's fellow apprentice hates him, despite Ace's inability to understand.
I also have one secret behind my unusual nature, but all will be revealed in time.

Q: Do you love anyone?
A: My daughter. Other girls...eh...usually they come and go. There isn't a single compatitive female in Erin, Pinkie or Keith's teams, and that only leaves Machop from Ace's...ya see why I don't "love" anyone in that sense yet?

Q: What is your job?
A: I'm a Pokemon for the gym apprentice Ace(who sucks btw...I do all the work). I usually force him to treat me as an equal, or I just won't listen.

Q: Do you play any instruments?
A: I play a little Saxophone. You heard it hear first. :3

A: Probably still with Ace. I may have evolved by then, and he may have become half decent by then...

First up is Rick, the badger in my latest pic, and before I get bashed to fuck I want you to know he=/=me. Rick=misogynic Me=antifeminist, not antiequality. Ever so slightly different. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Q: How old are you?
A: I'm fully matured badger age, and that's all you need to know.

Q: What's your height?
A: around three foot. I may be anthromorphic, but I'm still a badger you know.

Q: Are you a virgin?
A: Yes. And I'm quite proud of it. Women are scary, and I don't bat for the other team...

Q: Who's your mate/spouse?
A: I have no spouse. Nor do I want one. I need not verify my existance through another persons, thank you very much.

Q: Do you have any kids?
A: Let's see...am I a virgin? Yes. Do I have a spouse? No. Am I likely to have kids? Unless you count my idiot flatmates, then no...I'm kid free.

Q: What's your favorite food?
A: Earthworms. 80% of my diet. I love hearing them scream as I eat them...or BBQ them. If I'm feeling less malicious however, I'll probably just eat a burger or something. Chicken's good too with bacon and cheese.
Oh, and mashed potatoes. Badgers LOVE mashed potatoes. Everyone knows this.

Q: What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
A: Probably...Mint choc chip. Gotta keep the breath smelling good ya know. No one enjoys talking to a morning breathed animal.

Q: Have you ever killed anyone?
A: Define anyone...I kill to eat a lot. I hurt and beat up a lot of people, but I usually avoid killing. Except for a certain woman...

Q: Do you hate anyone?
A: Women in general annoy me, I hate the way they use their charm and sex appeal to gain what they want. My friend Sho is a classic example of someone who has any old woman take advantage of him. I'm not sure whether I hate them, but I hate that aspect of them.
I hate quite a few people. I'm sure when the lazy ass artist can be bothered to draw my comic(Yo, Ace. Been waiting five years now buddy!), you'll see all the people I hate.
A woman who stole something precious to me is probably the cause of all this hatred however. I believe I was a pretty friendly guy before "the incident".

Q: Have any secrets?
A: misogynic, but from all my anti women talk I guess it's no secret. Used to be a big treasure hunter, and due to being good at digging, I was pretty good at it.
Badgers as a rule are ridiculously strong and malicious. People seem to underestimate us, but we can easily take on anything up to the size of a Wolf.

Q: Do you love anyone?
A: Coffee. I love coffee. If that doesn't count, I guess in a way I love my idiot friends...even the girl...as annoying as she can be.

Q: What is your job?
A: At current, Mine digger. I'm not happy with this job however. Shame every animal is given their job based on their species rather than their individual skills.

Q: Do you play any instruments?
A: Not so much

Q: Where do you think you'll be in ten years?
A: Probably dead. Badgers don't live long.

Q: Favorite animal?
A: Humans. They're bloody hilarious.

Q: Boy or girl?
A: If I HAD to have kids, I'd probably have a litter of cubs, but the boys would probably be the favourites.

Q: What do you do to relax?
A: Draw, dig, coffee houses, fix my laser hammer, hit people with said hammer, fire the laser, etc. Generally cause destruction helps, but I'm not without my peaceful streak too. Good old coffee houses.

Well. Ok, so I don't. But tough. You're gonna listen anyway.

So mah good friend

is all like: "HEY ACE. YOU'RE AN ARCHER. YOUR SUMMON IS YOSHI. YOU ARE A DRUNK!" and I was shocked. He summed me up pretty bloody quickly to be honest. I do indeed enjoy shooting people with stuff, beating people with Yoshi on Smash Bros. and spent last saturday face down in a puddle after drinking too much. Sobers ya up quick, but not recommended.

Back to the point, Davis had created some sort of Fantasy RPG thing. I'd always wanted to get involved with a fantasy comic, so immedietly I jumped at the chance to draw his party members.

So I'm sorry guys, but I'm gonna have to tell you 8 random facts about me now, because...well...I obviously have nothing better to do. So there.

Okay...the firstly I've got to post the rules to this game of tag...;;

1. Each person tagged must post 8 random facts about themselves.

Originally I was gonna do little bitter twisted facts, but then I thought...sod it...may as well tell you my history of webcomicing...

1.) Ace started out his webcomic...*snicker*...career when

of Fireball20xl.com attempted to get forumers into groups to create guest comics. Ace was in a group named: Strolling in the Park of Psychotic Hobos with his first comic character: Rick the Badger.

2.) Psy broke the idea off after people became dumb about the idea, and in doing so...Ace simply went off with his group and started a Geocities site with his three fellow members: Brass, Rinzi and Brad, the latter two he had met and been friends with previously.

3.) SitPoPH split up, and Brad offered Ace some hosting on his site: Highpixelcount.net, alongside Rinzi. Brass went off to practise and hone his drawing skills off his own back. You can see his stuff right here:

4.) So I drew Rick for a bit...in his own comic called Cel Struck. It was mildly successful and I met a few contacts through there including

5.) The latter of course, was the man(or boy) who would cause me to create Ace of Abra in comic form(it had previously been a rather bad fanfic I wrote when I was 11). He was to create a comic called Emerald Version(prior to the game of the same name...coincedencental I assure ya), but this in turn reminded me of my own ideas for a Pokemon comic and rekindled my admiration for the old Pokemon games.

6.) Cel Struck was scrapped due to a lack of ideas on my part, and I started work on Ace of Abra. I also jumped boats, when I went to PixelatedEmpire, after Highpixelcount became a little inactive. I still feel a bit guilty for abandoning Brad...:<

7.) Ace of Abra started up, and to my shock was moderately successful. Serebii forumers seemed to enjoy it, and I met a lot of new people through this comic, including(but not limited to):

Well...anyways...let's get the important crap out the way first:

I'm not gonna be around for two weeks starting 21st August, so there will be no updates on either DA or Ace of Abra. So...shut up about it. It just won't happen.

Next item for discussion here is the lack of bagels. What's up with that?

Also I saw the Simpsons movie, Shrek 3 and Transformers this week. I won't bore you with detailed reviews, so I'll give skinny reviews:

Simpsons: Better than I thought it was, genuinely funny in parts and the actual plot gelled a lot better than the trailers gave away that it would. Bart's naked skateboard streak was one of the best jokes IMO.

Shrek 3: Swapped comedy for plot. Not always a bad thing, and in some parts it was hilarious. Not as good as Shrek 2 in my opinion though.

Transformers: Since I can't remember much of the transformers when I was a kiddy(other than I was a pretty big fan judging by the amounts of franchise I have in my garage), I couldn't complain too much about their new look.
On the whole: too many humans introduced and very slow to start, but the end battle makes up for it, despite the fact sometimes it was hard to tell the bots apart.

Erm...other stuff...

Well...Brawl=awesome by the looks of things. I'm excited, and yeah...I will take on challengers when the game comes out(and online hopefully(has that been confirmed yet?)).

Who am I still routing for now Yoshi's been confirmed?
Well...Luigi, but I'm sure he'll be back.
I'm also routing for Toad, a character who seems to have both a lot of fandom and a lot of fan hate. So he could really go either way...I'd rather he not be an AT, but we all know it's the most likely thing to happen to him, since Nintendo doesn't give two craps about the singular Toad.

What? They don't:

They bloody replaced him for Petey sodding Pirhanna and Wiggler in Mario Tennis for the Gamecube. WIGGLER? WTF? Petey has a fan base I think, but Wiggler?!? Gah.

Most of the Mario Party games had him as the host. Not playable. Recently though, he and DK switched roles on this point.

He wasn't playable in Mario Golf(but then again, I hated it so it's a mute point to me), and he was only a sidekick character in Strikers.

And it sucks. Toad was the fastest and strongest in Mario Bros. 2(USA/PAL releases) and starred in his very own game Wario's Woods before most of the other "big 8" characters. Toad was even playable(albeit briefly) in Mario and Luigi Superstar saga(one of my favourite games) and a damn decent racer in the Mario Kart series.
Yet he's being kicked out and replaced with characters that are at best filler: namely Daisy and Waluigi. Daisy was in a singular game(and if you count it, the Super Mario Bros. movie) and Waluigi...is well...he's becoming a character more in himself, but he was essentially a filler character for Mario tennis and the sports games.

I'm also hoping for Meowth. :3

HOWEVER! As a few people have suggested, instead of just leaving the site to rot, we will be running a competition during the week and a half hiatus(and actually a little bit after that too).

The prizes? Your character will become an apprentice of your favourite gym, and will help represent that particular gym in the up and coming GYM TOURNAMENT, that you've heard Sabrina, Surge and Koga talking about. The top three entrants will be rewarded with this position.

So what's the requirements? Well...first of all...your trainer must have a type he sticks to. Ace for example uses mostly psychic Pokemon(Abra, Smoochum, Wobbuffet) and therefore works for a psychic gym. List of gym leaders will be posted in Full Story.

So what do you have to do to win? Well...recently I've had a love for battle pictures.
I want you guys to draw the most exciting scene you possibly can between your trainer and a trainer from the Pokemon series. Could be AoA related, could be from the anime, the manga...or hell...even Smash Bros. As long as you and a fellow trainer are battling it out, it's all good.

Points will be awarded for originality, humour, drawing style and character design. If I like the character, he/she has a higher chance of appearing.

You guys have until April 30th 11:59pm(GMT) to submit your entries. You can submit them by PMing me or sending me the link to your DA entry. :3
