        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ LA was quite a trip.  We got stuck an extra day which worked out great for fun, but messed me up, work-wise.<br /><br />Top of the bill, the ROCKETEER screening:<br /><br />The film was shown at Disney's El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood (my first time there).  It was a new digital print, and it looked wonderful.  The FX weren't cleaned up in any way. But they DID digitally paint out the wire dragging the 'crashing' GeeBee down the runway, from the beginning of the film.<br /><br />Joe Johnston introduced the film, saying "I KNEW someday this film would be popular&#133;!"  Apparently, not only was it the 20th anniversary of the film, but also the El Capitan's re-opening.  T ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Well, I'm back home and trying to get back to work, all week.  HeroesCon was a blast, as always.  Especially since I'm no longer burdened with a sketch list.  I have more time to talk with fans, chat with pros, and basically interact.<br /><br />I'm still stunned at what the Black Cat/Catwoman piece I did for the art auction went for ($12,000).  I don't paint anymore, I color all my work digitally.  Painting with real paints, none of which I am accustomed to, on an easel, in front of dozens of people with cameras, with an 8-hour time limit is in no way, shape, or form ideal conditions for doing good work.  But I do it to help out HeroesCon, to help kee ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Finally!<br /><br />San Diego Comic-Con 2010 is a distant memory, and life slowly returns to normal.  It was a lot of work trying to get ready for the show, and once there&#133; I must admit that the con wasn't the nightmare that SDCC 2009 was.  While SDCC is never actually FUN anymore (it hasn't been for us since the early 2000s), it wasn't the soul-draining siege it was the year before.<br /><br />I would like to thank everyone who came by and said hi, bought stuff, and donated to our dog rescue charity.  We raised $3175.00 to help Old English Sheepdogs (our personal puppeez of choice), and while there, we found out that a rescue had come in with heartworm, re ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ OK, I don't have the time to answer every request of "What markers are you using?", I'll just make a post about them.<br /><br />All of the sketches posted today were done the same way, with the same tools, on the same paper.<br /><br />I pencil on 11" X 14" Bristol sketch paper.<br /><br />I ink the pencils with Faber Castell Pitt pens.<br /><br />I do the gray tones with Copic markers, using the gray sets (0, C1-C10, 100, 110).<br /><br />I do highlights and such with Windsor Newtin white calligraphy ink, and a brush.<br /><br />The Faber Castell Pitt pens are archival and won't change color over the years when the ink seperates from the vehicle (like Sharpies do).  I like the Copics because if you  ]]></media:text>
