For the most part this trip is a vacation, but I'm also gonna get my teeth fixed, they're really messed up! No worries, I'll be taking my sketch book and stuff with me, so I can scrounge up some art over there

for those of you that I still owe art...I'm so sorry, I feel like a total ass, I just had my last final today, so I'm done with school, but since I'm leaving the country, to a part of the country that isn't as urbanized and connected as here, I'll be lucky to get onto the computer (let alone posting art!)

Anyway, I guess I'll end by saying good bye for now, and get back to dA in a few weeks!

this last week has been murder, I'm so glad the weekend has arrived

This last week I had midterms for a few of my classes (I still have one to go on Monday, wish me luck!). I've also been taking other peoples shifts at work (I want the cash, so yeah ), so naturally I've had little time for myself these last few days...so forgive me for not being quicker on the art, I know I have several things promised to several people, and I'm trying to get them up asap
I've finally gotten one free sketch done, for my friend , he's done me a free sketch as well and another piece with me characters, so getting his done first seemed the least I could do...hope you enjoy your sketch

In other news, I am visiting family in Mexico next month. It's a really significant trip for me because it's the first time I visit my family in Mexico in 15 years (I was 4 last time around!). I'm staying at my aunts and uncles house in Guadalajara, and I'm going with a few cousins of mine, so I'm really pumped about this trip!
I may or may not take my laptop to Mexico, so I may or may not be online for all of December...I'll update on that later...

More art is on the way, so hang tight, now that things at school will quiet down I can finish all my crap...haha

Well considering only 2Q really knew what Ive been through, lemme explain...

About 3 weeks ago, I was listening to some music on Youtube when I had the luck of being attacked by a trojan virus. As fate would have it the same happened to 2Q and a few others I know. Anyway my computer crashed and could not turn on properly there afterwords ( damned antivirus was not activated) so to be blunt my poor laptop was mortally fucked

Fast forward three weeks and thanks to the electronic genius of my uncle, it has recovered, and I couldn't be happier!

I'm currently using this new operating system, called Ubuntu, and I gotta say it's really sweet
...just right now I'm trying to get YIM so I can talk to 2Q again, lol

Once I get everything all worked out on my computer, I'll start to upload all the pics I have. My LONG OVERDUE PORJECT is done, as well as a few minor sketches as well as 's reverse request (I asked him if I could draw his kickass OC and he kindly agreed )

Currently I'm living with my uncle in Los Angeles, taking a break of sorts before uni begins in a month, which is why I said it might take a while to upload the pics I have...

I gotta say, for my first ever convention I really enjoyed it. Four of my friends besides myself made the two hour trek Friday morning to Los Angeles and walked around the Exhibition Hall after registering. It was there where I was punched...err...kinda, by a cosplaying Rorschach. The moment was captured on camera so I can post it for Nicole's amusement, lol
After walking around, more pictures w/cosplayers and other monotneity (such as searching for low priced merchandise to no avail), we left for lunch. We ended up eating at this nice Japanese restaurant in a Little Tokyo shopping mall...and I ate like there was no tomorrow. After that we returned to the Convention Center and wandered around some more, watched some anime, then attended these AMV awards thing. We saw AMV's people submitted to AX and voted on the best ones by category. By the time all was said and done, it was midnight and the Con center was closing for the night, so we packed up and headed home.

There are tons more details but you have the gist of it right there...and I wanna finish NAO!!! >

In terms of art, I have several things I really need to finish ( I have a good ten Deviations in the works that I have stared...but like most everything else that I begin are not complete. If you don't believe me, ask 2Q, she's seen me at work and knows my lazy tendencies...

Bare with me, like I stated in a recent deviation, I plan to post my ass off this summer XDDD

On a quick side note, if any of you recall my anti-art block streak back in January that came to a grinding halt in February...well it didn't get any better after that. In March I began the Spring quarter at the university and decided to take three classes that I thought would be relatively passable, not too easy and not too hard. Well all was well until the beginning of May, the same week I had mid-terms, I also began working at my new job. on top of all thins I got the flu and because I commute half an hour every day to school, was forced to stay home for several days to recover my health. It took me over two weeks to get better, and considering all three classes were equal in difficulty, I found it impossible to catch up on everything I missed. Long story short I failed one class and have to retake another...just wanted to throw out one of the reasons I kinda fell off the face of the earth for several weeks...hehe

anyway, I'm going to bed, so goodnight and all that jazz...

Today I got pretty close to death...yup true story. For those who detest bad words I suggest you simply ignore this rant and scroll down to the end, considering there's a fair amount of them in here. I'll put a simpler, kid-friendly version at the end of this.

While I was driving to school this morning, y'know, I was minding my own business. For those you you who may be familiar with Bakersfield, I was going north on HWY 99, and I had just passed the White Ln. interchange. I'm traveling along the middle lane, going 60mph, minding my own business, when I notice this big truck barreling down from White Lane at what I believe to have been 70-75 mph. Now it seemed the guy driving this truck was planning on merging into the other lanes...and I see nothing wrong with that...do you? Driving lesson time! When you are going to merge, what do you do...? Don't worry, there's no rush, I'll wait...da dum da dum da dum...got anything...? Bingo!!! you signal and take a look to make sure the lane is free of immediate traffic! Now I know you're all smart people so I'll just save it and assume you know that this dumbass in the big truck did neither of the things your supposed to do. Correctimundo! he didn't...but what's worse is that he didn't care to tate a gander that there was a car in his way, so I all of a sudden go from enjoying the music on the radio to swerving onto the left lane not knowing if there's a car in my way just so the asshole in the truck won't crash into me!!!

Needless to say, I was very lucky and didn't crash into anyone or anything...but then we open up the question...who the fuck allows idiots like this drive around endangering the lives of people who have no fault of their own!? Seriously, I spent about the following twenty minutes driving, the time it took me to get to school, ranting and venting about the stupidity of people. I'm not talking about rocket science, I'm talking about common sense! This is the reason I question ever giving people the benefit of the doubt...then I remember that most people...or most people I know and meet, do have common sense, and it's that minority of assholes who drive me insane...

Now for those who don't like my potty mouth, this is pretty much me explaining how some idiot nearly crashed into me on the highway because he merged when he definitely wasn't supposed to, and how stupid people can be...

Now I'm also treating this as an update, so let me begin by saying...sorry I'm grown back into holding out on art...AGAIN!!! I've actually been working on another project...which actually looks like I'll be able to finish...yay

The only reason I've stopped from my January high is because February brought with it the wonderful world of Mid-terms!!! ugh! >_<

Not only that, but I've had to work out things with my job and family that have been eating at my last few weekends...so no breaks...

This project also will push my gallery to deviation numero cien!!! Yes, one-hundred! I will draw something to commemorate this auspicious event...exactly what I don't know...so don't hold your breath...

Oh, and one more tidbit. As some of you guys already know, I have a new job! I'm an Operations Assistant at the Recreation Center at my college. By the way, Operations Assistant is basically a janitor, but I really enjoy the job, it has some neat perks and most importantly, I'm getting paid, and I speak for most of us when saying that in these times we shouldn't be so picky with what job we get. I can't wait till I get my first check so I can actually have spending money to do things!!!

Today was...well it wasn't fantastic beyond belief...but it was nice, I got a free haircut and a bunch of my friends wishing me the best. I DID get one of the things I really wanted...a digital camara (well technically, it was for me AND my siblings, but my mother "forcibly" had me open the gift )

Tomorrow my parents are throwing me a party type thing, family and friends, so I'm really looking forward to it

I'm well aware that I haven't posted something in a looong time. Good news is I have several things to show you guys...bad news is they're all WIPs, so you're all gonna have to hang tight a little longer. I still plan to do a pic for christmas like I did last year (as well as something for Nikki cuz she did domething for me, thanks Nikki! :3 )

Well, As far as art goes...it hasn't gone that fantastic. No I don't have art block or anything, it's just with university and all, its not been art friendly. I have created a few things in between classes, but like the majority of my works, they're not finished. Well, since My winter break starts this wednesday (and continues until Jan. 7 !!) I try to get into finishing my stuff...and if I am able to, perhaps do something christmasy like last year...

As a few of you know, I started at the University last monday on the 15th. I got off to a rocky start is to put it lightly. Monday morning was more like "move your ass outta da way while I drive 90 mph on the highway!!!". My alarm never went off and I woke up an hour before class. Now your thinking that isn't so bad, right...hehe, WRONG! I have to commute roughly 50km every singly day to class, which takes me half an hour, and I spent god knows how much gas simply trying to find a parking space...bottom line, by the time I got to class it was already over >_<

Well to say the least the week went off fairly nice, I'm reading books for once and I'm meeting new people everyday

...Then, Yesterday I get my first ticket! dun-dun-dun!!! Well it isn't anything major, I didn't get it while driving, I got it because the university cops didn't see my parking pass on my car in the parking lot, and now I gotta fix that cuz I don't wanna pay $25 just for something so stupid...

Well that's it for my shananigans, as far as art goes...it's going normal...which means I'm slow as hell

I have a few pics I need to upload, but only my girlfriend has actually seen them...and if I can get my mom to stop hovering over me for 5 minutes I can upload them tonight! I'm coloring another pic right now that I started on sunday, but my cousin called me over to help her install her internet and so I put the colring on hold...and when that happens coloring can take months...and school will only worsen my procrastination...

I'll just end on a final note...money sucks ass >

After my trip I kinda didn't do much exept to try and re-adjust myself to living in Southern California again (for those who didn't know I visited up north for a week, and trust me, after three months of living in a frying pan, shivering in the cold never felt better )

Anyway the reason I wanted some down time was cuz prior to my trip I attended a going away party with my Constitution Team friends since alot of us are going away for college. The party was a blast, abit saddening since many of these friends I've known for at least 4 years...and some for over 10!!!

Also, the morning after I came back I retook my driving exam, and lets just say the week couldn't have ended better for me, now I'm a legal licensed driver of California

I have several things I need to post up, but if you know me...well lets just hope you were blessed with the patience of a saint

As for tomorrow I'll be driving over to Bakersfiled to take my ID picture for CSUB as well as clearing up this abnormality in my class schedule...

The first three days after graduation were filled with paries and whatnot, and you can bet your ass I went to as many as I could! At the beginning of the week I began prepping for my driving test-going out and driving with my mom as my teacher...oh speaking of which, I got my car (graduation present!) Memorial Day weekend. I'll be taking the test really soon
The primary reason I need to learn how to drive is because in September I begin college and considering I need to travel 30 miles to get to class, I need to know how to drive...oh, and because of the staggering price of gas I'll need a job XDDD

Also, as a couple of you already know, I have spent the last three days locked in my room. Why? I had promised my mom that after graduation I would completly clean my room. Needless to say, last night I hawled 5 trash bags full of paper and other crap. I discovered the funkiest things within the confines of my closet...among other things: unfinished homework from 4th grade, reallly old drawings (including my first doodle of Eddy from 6th grade!) as well as old board game pieces and books I never knew I had XDDD;;;;

In terms of my art, because school has ended I now I have time to draw and whatnot...and I have started on some cool things I really wanna show you guys...but my whole room clean up has eaten up a whole lot of my time...but now that I'm done there's nothing stopping me...hopefully

Well, to start things off, you have heard of people hating mondays and whatnot...well, now I'm one of 'em! Today wasn't exactly peaches n'cream. Let's see, I missed my bus to school (AGAIN!) and was half an hour late to class. That's only the beginning, Once I got to school, upon getting out of my car, my finger got jammed in the car door...literally, the door was completely closed and my finger was stuck. Exuse the french but it's been a real bitch all day, it hurts like hell. Right now it's blue and filled with blood..it feels like a balloon...kinda funny actually, but still...

On a lighter note, I recieved my class schedule for college on Saturday, one more step colser to being a college student, It feels exilerating.
Orientation at CSUB as fun as well, I participated in this cool dance the Phillipine club was doing, and I won a free shirt. Just 4 more weeks and I'm free for summer, to do whatever, and you know wgat that means. I'll be able to start my comic in earnest (I know Nikki, I'm a lazy good for nothing XDDDD)

Last time I checked, my artwork and photos were...well MINE!!!
What gets me pissed off is that my own government is taking my expressive rights away. That it would allow private companies make a cheap profit by endorsing the theft of other people's art.

Amandment 14 Scetion 1 of the United States Constitution states:


1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.


According to Federal law, it is wrong to take away my right to my life, liberty and property. Well this Orphan works legislation will bypass this right and violate two of my natural rights: my right to the liberty of sharing my artwork via the internet and my right to own my own work without paying for it, after all, if I create it with my own two hands, it IS my property.

To American artists everywhere, stop this legislation from coming to fruition in any way, shape or form, we CANNOT stand idilly by while our rights are stripped from under or feet.

To my fellow artists elsewhere in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia make sure that any Orphan works imitation does not grow in your respective nations. Pressure your American friends, tell them to stop it here in the US before it crosses our fronteirs.

Edmund Burke once stated "the only thing nessicary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". All that is needed for this evil law to become reality is if we don't do anything to stop it...

Well, first of all, lets talk about college. I took my entry placement exams today at school(I'm exausted!). I have to pass them in order to attend a California State University Campus...or to decide which classes to get in the Universtiy, I forget which one it is...
Oh, and while we're on the subject of college, my dream school, the one I've been dying to atted for the past 4 years, UC Santa Barbara rejected me about a week ago. I always imagined this moment to be catostophic, but I felt fine the moment after reading the letter. In December I decided to attend CSU Bakersfield (which has already accepted me ) so it made the rejection hurt...not so much, if not at all

As for school, well, is almost done XD
Just 9 more weeks and I officially become a college student. At the end of the year (May 26-30) the school organizes all these fun activities for the graduating seniors, like a breakfast, picnic, a night trip to Disneyland all culminating with graduation

Ok, now for art...
I have some stuff, but I'm not done with any of it...I won't say when I'll post, but I'll eventually get to put something up, just don't expect anything anytime soon

First and formost, my high school crush and one of my greatest friends has agreed to be my girlfriend, and I couldn't be happier. She is an amazing woman, we both love to draw, love musicals and drama, have a soft side for the little animals (and big ones too )

Second, the details and results from the "We the People" State Competition. Well, Feb. 6 I was tired to begin with (I had to work at the polls on Super Today and got home late, the had to wake up at 5 in the morning). Regardlass wednesday was fun...untilI realized my suit, the suit I needed for the cometition was back here in Arvin, 300 miles(or 450 km) away! My parents had to mail it to our hotel and it got there on time...kinda
anyway, the following day, on thursday we began strong, an d we all did really great, which earned us a place in the "final four" where the last four schools duke it out to see who would represent California at the national competition in April. Well, Arvin ended up getting 4th place, but it's still good, all the information I gained is as much as a victory as anything

Now, for news about art
Even though We the People is now over, I'm now trying to do make up work for my classes for missing a week of school. Not only that, but I also need to get ready for my entry into college, like applying for scolarships and taking my placement exams, so the art will have to be slow. I'm currently working on some drawings on my spare time, just don't exoact anything, my schedule is very erratic at the moment. don't worry, though, with the semester nearly half over, it should get easier, so yeah

Well, I gotta say, 2007 has been a very interesting year to say the least. I feel like I've grown so much this year. Not only that, but this last year I have had to make so many life changing desisions, such as appying to colleges and debating what I want to do with my life:Civil Serviceman, comic artist, among other things. I have strengthen my friendships with many of my friends, as well as made some new, really great friends.

I've taken the liberty of creating a New Year themed picture for the occasion, I hope you guys enjoy it...

On a final note, good bye 2007, I hold many cherished memories in that one year, but now it's time to create new memories, whether they be good or bad. I look forward to 2008: "We the People" State Competition, Prom, the cabins, Graduation, my entry into college, and probably the most likely anticipated Presidential election of the century in which I will be voting to top off the year. 2008, here I come!!

Yup, you heard me right, at 6:45pm Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, I officially became an adult!
Now I am able to vote, drive, partially gamble, and do teh naughties

Of course, the only thing that crashed my fesivities today was the fact that we had finals today...GODDAMN IT>_<

Anyway, I was happy afterward cause my mom came back from Mexico today...and brought some scrumpcious Mexican candy, yum :9

All in all, today was great, even though I didn't have a party, but I will on saturday

...well, to address another issue...let's talk about the Christmas pics. I was originally gonna make 2...then three...now four! someone stop me! lol
One is a surprise, while the other is the project that I created, about the original characters. The deadline for having your character in my pic is coming up soon (about another week) and I really want more people to participate

Well, today was a hard, tiresome day, but it coudn't of ended better...ok, maybe a little better...

here's the scoop. I woke up around 5:30am to get ready, I got to the high school at 7am and we got to CSUB around 8am. from their we prepared and at 9am the hearing started, starting with Unit 4( you see, every we the people team is divided into groups of 6, called units, who specialize on one certain aspect of the constitution). anyway, my unit went up around 2pm, and by 3pm we were done. Afterword we went to the auditorium to the awards ceremony. You cannot imagine the feeling of getting first place for our unit AND getting first place for district. We're going to state beybeh

Anyway, I won't have to worry about constitution team for a while, so I can finally do some art

Anyway, to say the least I'm not as overly stress and frustrated as I was before. I've finally finished my college applications - and I'm hoping UC Santa Barbara accepts me, but the other nine schools I've applied to are just as awsome too, so I'll just be glad to be accepted period!

Also, as some of you are already aware of, my 18th birthday is abit over two weeks away. While I was in my English class today, I was doodling to pass the time after finishing a test, then it dawned on me - to create some sort of collage drawing somehow depicting me throughout my 18 years of life. Among other things I plan to finish this before my birthday...and because I have a horrible tendency to procrastinate, I'm starting right now

to end on a final note...DAMN IT IT'S COLD!!!
I learned the hard way NEVER to walk barefoot onto cold concrete. Also it FINALLY rained today! Arvin is situated in a drought like enviorment most of the year, so any water or snow (if we're lucky) is a good thing...

I don't know, I just feel really tired, frustrated, depressed
I have so many things going on - Constitution Team Competition in 5 days (we had a dress rehursal today and I completely bombed, so it made me feel worse, like I let the whole team down...), college applictions due tomorrow and I'm one of the many students taht chose to procrastinate...yeah, it sucks>_>. Then there's the end of the semester I have to worry about, with work being bombarded all over me, it's really taking it's toll...I guess I just haven't expressed it until now...
hm...well, enough of this depressing mood, I don't want to chase you readers away with my negativity. I will be posting a journal on Tuesday, to announce whether or not we won. This weekend, with all the stuff I have to do already, I'll try to make time to draw and/ or hang out with friends, because that's ALL I wanna do right now...besides sleeping

Nah, just updating cause I felt like it. Don't ask me why I pick 11pm on a sunday night to do this, but bleh, it's not like I can go to sleep now. As of now, I'm in the process of finalizing my personal statement for college (*crosses fingers for UC Santa Barbara*)
In art news...I've made some progress. I've been drawing a little during school (mostly cause I'm to tired to do ANYTHING at home>_> ). I have a few things I'll post up (if I remember!!!). I've also been tinkering around on photoshop (primarily cause of my friend ).

...Now, for those left in the dark, let me explain the title of this journal. As I have previously mentioned, I am on my high school's "We the People" Team. For those unaware, in this team, we pretty much debate over the constitution of the U.S. and how it affects us, past and present. We also have to be dressed really nice and in suits and all, so you know we're gonna look kickass. In roughly a week and a half, Arvin High (my school ) squares off against 10 other schools in our district to proove who knows more about the U.S. Constitiution...and Arvin has won the past few years in a row...so you know we are gonna kick some ass this year!!!...ahem...

Just as a heads up for all, within these next few days it'll become exeedingly dificult for me to do much dA related, but I'll try...and wish us luck

And that my friends, is the reason I haven't posted anything new, especially this last week
Probably the most tiring instant this week was back on Monday. In my government class we were seperated into groups of 5 and we had to make a speech for a debate pointing out everything wrong with the US Constitution (yup, we were Anti-Federalists ). I was all dressed up in a suit and everything (and I FINALLY learned to tie a tie ). The greatest part of the day was that we won the debate.
For the majority of the week however, it's pretty much been work work work >_>
I'v drawn a few things-one I'll try and get up today, and the other...I don't know when, just expect something...
On another note...I'm in need of money...$1,454 to be exact
The reason being my drama class is planning to go to New York this spring break. I really want to go because this is my senior year in high school...and I want to celebrate it with a bang...If anyone can give me any info on how to get a lot of quick money...without selling myself to prostitution!...tell me please =]

I think I did great academic wise this year ( a hell of a lot be ter that last year, that's for sure). Considering I'm able to sustain a "B" and "A" in a college level class makes me so proud of myself *sniffs*. Anyway I'll have to do better next year, so I'll have all summer to dedicate to DA (well, most of it anyway).

My manga story also developed a lot this year. I created a whole bunch of characters, as well as added to the story. I also created a new story. It's in it's early stages, but it revolves around Native Americans. I also got two new favorite bands: Flyleaf and maNga. Flyleaf is a christian rock band with an amazing singer. maNga is a nu metal band from Turkey, and yes, they sing in Turkish, but there music rocks regardless...

Well, I'm headed off to get ready for my AP test tomorrow, wish me luck^^
