I've had a couple of things published in the last year, so I will put up some samples from those books, as well as examples of commissions I've done. But right now, I'm working on my portfolio so I can try to get into Art Education. I think going back to school would be the best thing to do in this economy. So, as some of you may know, I haven't submitted anything on here since last summer. I'll tell you why... I guess I don't really consider myself an artist anymore, to be honest. Sure, I went to school for art, but that doesn't really mean anything. Will I ever get a job in the art field? No... probably not.

After working at FedEx and lifting 1000 boxes an hour for the past 2 months, I realized that I should've thought more about my future before I made the decision to switch to art. There are not a lot of jobs for artists out there. Sure, there are tons of Graphic Design jobs! But as an Illustrator who was not good enough to get into the Design program at Uconn, and knows nothing about website building, those aren't really options for me.

I just got a new job at Foxwoods, which is actually a downgrade from FedEx. Less pay per hour, but less work too. FedEx is awful. Don't ever work there. I'm serious. The job is crap.

And as I was job searching, I realized I will never have a decent paying job. Even with a college degree, unless you have some sort of valuable skill, the real world does not give a crap about you. One thing is for sure, I should've learned HTML and CSS. Because most of the art jobs out there require some sort of previous knowledge/experience in said subject.

So needless to say, I'm seriously regretting my switch from engineering to art in my college days. All you highschool kids out there, I don't mean to make you nervous, you can do anything and be successful if you put your mind to it. All I'm saying was that, I wasn't a very good artist when I switched majors, and I never really made much of an effort to improve myself, so I ended up screwing myself in the long run. I guess my problem was that I always thought I was an awesome artist until I got thrown into art school and saw that everyone else was much more original and had more drive than I did. But I didn't want to admit that people could be better than me, which is probably why I never applied myself. *sigh* So... I guess what I'm saying is, a person should be more careful about falling into that envious, denial cycle otherwise you might end up like me; working at FedEx, and downgrading to a less stressful job. Cheers guys. I hope your futures look much brighter than mine, and sorry if I depressed anyone.

This game looks AWESOME! I've got to say, I'm really pumped about another action fighting game with Final Fantasy characters in it. So far they've shown two characters from FFI as well as Zidane, Kuja, and Sephiroth. It really does look like fun to play. My biggest hope is that they will release this game in the US. Although, knowing Square-enix's track record with releasing really cool games with Final Fantasy characters in them to Japan only ...*cough-itadakistreetspecial-cough* ...I'm not so sure that will be the case. We'll see.

But this isn't just a plug for Connecticon. I really wanted to let you guys know that if all works out as planned, I'll be getting an artist's table that I'm sharing with a few kids from my illustration class. I'll be selling some of my work there. I'll make sure to put the images up on DevArt when I complete projects that are to be sold. Some items that will be for sale include some prints of work that I have done this past semester and also lots of plushies.

I'm working on a black dragon plushie right now, and if it comes out well, I'll be selling it for a set price. I'm thinking somewhere between 20-40 bucks. Depending on how cute it is. And if the pattern I used was good, I will make multiple dragons of various colors.

So if anyone has any requests for things they're thinking about buying there or any ideas that will roll in the big bucks, I would be happy to take those into consideration. ^^

Also, if anyone knows of any relatively decent and affordable printing sites to print a few 8x10's, postcards, and maybe a couple of posters, I would really appreciate getting a link to those places.

Let's just get one thing straight... Critiquing a work for the quality is fine. If you want to flame me because the color sucks and the proportions are inacurate, please be my guest! But if you're going to just basically bitch at me for the subject matter of the work, I don't want to hear it. Especially after I've repeated myself at least a dozen times to these people saying that I have since changed my views and that typing in all caps at me isn't going to make me remove the piece from my gallery.

It's just art, people! Everyone has their own interpretations of things. Leave it at that. I don't want to hear your theories on who's Sephiroth's mother. I don't want to hear your theories on who loves who. If you want to debate about the plotholes in FFVII you can do it on a forum, because I'm not here for that. If you have a problem with my piece because you feel it would never happen, create a scenario of your own.

Seriously. I'm trying to be more professional, and as of now, I'm through arguing on the internet with people, because I think it's a stupid thing to do. So if you send me flames of that nature, you will not get a response and they will be deleted on the spot. Just a warning for the future.

On a lighter note, I will be submitting much more original stuff in the future. Fan art is not going to get me into grad school. So I'll be working on some things on my own. Also, look for some screenshots of the 3D animation I'm doing for my senior project. I won't be putting them up until after the opening of the exhibition for personal reasons. So after April 19th, I will probably be putting up some shots.

As always, comissions and requests are open. I realize I'm not good enough as an artist to say that, but I really need a reason to draw. Whenever I pick up a pencil, I just stare at the page for an hour. For commisions, just name your price and what you want. I'm not going to be a bitch about them. Whatever you can afford is fine. And I will try my absolute hardest to make it not suck.

I've been trying to come up with a web comic, because I had an idea that I wanted to run with. But I just suck at comic strips. Every panel looks the same to me, and I can't figure out how to make it more dynamic. So I keep starting over, and then I just don't want to do it anymore. *sigh* I wish I didn't get so bored with things so easily.

Broke, tired, and I feel like I'm running around busting my butt all summer to try to pay the rent, while everyone else is out having fun. When I get some time, maybe I'll put up some sketches of my comic. I even got a picture with someone dressed up as Sephiroth. He was so cute. All short and freckly. And his costume was awesome. He must've bought it. Even the shoulderguards felt real. They felt like metal. It was cool.

Everyone went all out. I felt kinda left out because and I weren't dressed up. We'll have to dress up next year. We were thinking we'd go as Vivi and Freya. I would be Vivi. So if you want to know exactly how bad the Art Department is, listen to this:

Two weeks ago, I emailed my advisor because we had to get our bar lifted before signing up for classes. (We have restricted access because you have to be an art major and get your classes approved before you can take any art classes at this college. So there's a huge process in which you meet with your advisor and you have to fill out a form about what classes you're taking. And then the advisor has to sign it) Because we had two advising nights last week and I couldn't make them because I was working. So I asked him if I could see him ahead of time and sign it then. He didn't email me back until last Wednesday (the day before my time to sign up for classes, mind you) and said that he wasn't going to be at Uconn until Monday, so I would have to put my bar lift form in his mailbox and he would get to it on Monday.

Meanwhile, I found out that I need to take two prerequisites in order to take my Illustration II class. (Aquamedia I, and Figure Drawing II) I was going to take them in the same semester as Illustration, but they're both offered at the same timeslot on the same day! WTF? Not to mention that the classes aren't open to people who've already taken Illustration II. Once I take that, I can't take the others, yet I need them to graduate. See how terrible this system is? ... But I still have an additional problem: How the heck am I going to take Illustration?!?! I need Illustration II in order to graduate, and it's only offered in the fall. Plus you have to take it twice. So if I don't get into this class next semester, (I'm a Junior, going into Senior) then I'll have to stay in this God awful school an extra year and a half in addition to the 4 I've already stayed! WTF???? So I figured I could register for Illustration II and then ask the professor which one of the prerequisites she prefers that I take next semester.

Today rolls around, and I expected to find my bar lift form in my advisor's mailbox. So at around 3:00 (I gave him all morning) I went into the art office only to find his mailbox EMPTY! I looked everywhere for him, but on his office door there was a note: "I'm going to have to cancel all my appointments because I'm not going to be here tonight." OMG NOT AGAIN! So I ran down to the art office demanding to see Kelly (The woman who takes the bar off of our account) But she had gone home for the day. ; ;....

So now I can't register for classes, and I can't take this Illustration class because I don't have the prerequisites. I'm trying to make an appointment with the head of the illustration department, because she's the only one who makes sense in this crazy place. I'm hoping she'll be able to help me out.


Okay now some fun stuff. I stole this from ZerachielAmora Here's some info about Aerith Hojo to clear up any misconceptions about my character.

Basics
1)What's your character's name? Aerith Hojo
2)How old is he/she? 24, but has the build and mentality of an 18 year old. (Her kind has longevity)
3)Is your OC a male or female? Male
4)What's his/her race? Jenova Clone. It's complicated. She was created using Jenova's cells and parts of Sephiroth's DNA. Except that the scientists completely messed up and she ended up female. ...Idiots.

Appearance
1)If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get? It depends where she was. New York, none. My hometown... she'd be run out with pitchforks and torches.
2)Is your character considered normal in his/her own world? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....
3)What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)? In the real world, the silver hair. In her world, the glowing green eyes.
4)Would you consider your OC as attractive? She's hott. I'm not gonna' lie.

Personality
1)Temper? She doesn't really have one.
2)Does your character ever get depressed? Sometimes when she's alone. But not usually.
3)Leader or Follower? Kinda...both? .... Earlier stages in her life, leader. Now she's more of a follower.
4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality? She loves... EVERYONE. That's what makes her so predictable. And she's too easy to manipulate.


History

Anyways. Spring break is coming up soon and I've been working on a ton of things which still need to be inked and colored. One of which is a doujinshi, Of Aerith Hojo. I know, I keep saying I'm working on her story like 5 times a day, and then never get it up here. It's usually because I never ink them, and then after a while my style changes and I don't feel it's necessary to ink them. Then I have to start all over again.

Well, this one's a little different. It doesn't start at the beginning of her story like the others. (I noticed that was a little boring) Rather, it starts out just before my RPG takes place. Well, ...you'll see.

Here's some background: Keep in mind that my roommate and I have been good friends for about 3 years. My roommate is a very VERY messy person. I don't mind it usually, but I'm the type of person who needs to have their area of the room neat and orderly, otherwise my aura is messed up and I get stressed, and frustrated. So when her stuff invades my side of the room, I get anxiety and I can't function.

The story (It's a long one. Just a warning):
A few nights ago, I was exhausted and I came back to our dorm room at around 1:15 in the morning. I just wanted to go to sleep, but my roommate needed some help with the pattern on her shield (It's a midieval reinactment type thing. We build foam weapons and beat eachother with them). So I decided I would help her anyway. So I did, and she was still working on it. At about 1:35 am I went to take a shower, hoping she'd be done by the time I got back. ...She wasn't. So I said "Laur, I'm exausted. I really need to get to sleep." Her reply "We really need another room, because I can't do this in the dark." So I sighed, trying to think of a solution. Then I said "Well, I'll attempt to go to sleep with the light on as long as this stuff is cleared up later." (Because I didn't want to kick her out of the room by making her go to the study lounge, and she deserved some time to work) So she said "Okay." ...I got like 4 hours of sleep that night because it's incredibly hard for me to fall asleep with any type of light pollution.

I get up the next morning and all her stuff: her pins, her fabric, the scissors, duct tape, you name it, was all spread out in front of my bed and she hadn't cleaned AT ALL. So I ignored it, figuring she'd pick it up later. So we got breakfast and went to class, everything was hunky dory. I get back from class at about 2pm, it's STILL not cleaned up. So I ignored it again. I was exhausted. I needed a nap. I took a nap for about a half hour and got up; stepped RIGHT ON those damn pins that she left all over the floor.

So by this time, I was pretty frigging pissed. Her stuff was everywhere. The room needed to be vacuumed, it smelled (Probably because there's a cake that's been sitting in there for 6 months that my roommate won't get rid of....-.-() It's growing limbs...and it's starting to talk to me. lol ) So I decided to move some of her stuff and clean. Now, I didn't want to piss her off, so I took ONLY the stuff that was in front of my bed, and I put the pins and gadgets on her desk. Put all the cuttings and the fabric neatly with her shield, in the corner. And I folded the fabric all nice for her. Then I left her a note on the door telling her that I cleaned, and where she could find all her stuff that I moved. And I vaccumed, and the room smelled nice, and I could walk! ^^ Then I went to work happy.

I had to come back to the room that night to grab my stuff for boffer really quickly, only to find that her stuff is all in front of my bed again. I was a little irritated, but she had cleaned the rest of the room, so I figured maybe she just moved it in cleaning. So I placed her backpack aside to get the boffer stuff from under my bed, and went to church choir. Everything seemed to be going well. She didn't seem angry, we talked. And then after choir I was happy, and said "Laur, I'm so proud of you! You cleaned!" To which she replied with an angry look, "Yeah....we need to talk about that."

So I was confused, and I went outside. She says to me "You are not to move or touch my stuff anymore. I'm pissed off that you keep moving things on me." So I was kind of angry, because I didn't think it was that big of a deal. And I rarely touch her stuff. Besides, I figured since it was in front of MY bed, AND it was dangerous (Sharp objects + my foot = Pain), that I should have the right to move it out of the way. Besides, It wasn't like I'd thrown anything out. So I said to her, "Well, I was a little pissed off to begin with since you left everything in front of my bed and I was tripping over it. Not to mention I stepped on your pins." She made a face, huffed, and said "Goodbye." And wouldn't even talk to me about it. I couldn't even explain my side of it.

That was the last time I talked to her. A friend of mine suggested staying at my boyfriend's for the weekend and not talking to my roommate until Monday, so I thought that was a good Idea. On the bright side, there's been no drama lately. I haven't heard anything about the Ex, thank GOD. Hoping he got over it finally. Is it sad that I just got back to school from a weekend at home and already I can't wait until Thanksgiving break? O.o

I hope I can wrangle up some time to post the pic I've been working on. It shouldn't be more than a week, but I'll let ya know if it's delayed. It may be, there are a lot of characters in it. *shrug*

So apparently, I just found out from someone, that my EX-boyfriend is STILL hung up on me, even though I broke up with him 3 months ago and haven't talked to him in months. Apparently he's planning on stalking me now. Going to catch me off guard so he can talk to me.

This is beyond frightening. I don't know what to do anymore. No matter what I say to him, he doesn't seem to get the fact that I don't want anything to do with him because he's gone way past obsessive. He lives in his own little world and won't hear a word I'm saying to him. And if I don't talk to him, he still thinks that I'm going to come back to him.

I can tell you one thing though. If he corners me, I WILL call the police. Without question. I don't trust that kid one bit. I just want to be left alone. ; ;... I'm always afraid he's going to show up at my dorm, storm into the room or something and I'll be helpless. Thankfully, I have Lauren. She'll kick his ass.

He needs help, but he refuses to go because he won't admit there's anything wrong with him. I only hope that someone can tell him to leave me the hell alone before it comes to me having to get a restraining order or something.

*sigh* Sorry guys, such depressing journal entries. I promise the next one will be lighter in tone.

So we called the RA (resident assistant) in the hopes that she could quiet them down. I called her actually. I said "We're from the 5th floor and it's a little loud up here, can you maybe tell them to quiet down." It was supposed to remain anonnomus. So 15 minutes goes by. No change in volume. They're still jumping up and down and screaming, and slamming their doors, and playing their music so obsenely loudly that we can't even concentrate.

So I called the RA again. Said, "Did you come up and talk to the boys that were being loud?" To which she replied "I came up and didn't hear any noise, so I just went back downstairs." Which I thought was incredibly strange, since they were being so loud. (turns out she's friends with them and didn't want to say anything) So I said "Okay well they're in the room next to us. I'd like you to talk to them and then come to see us." So she did, and she must've told them that we were the ones that called because afterwards they were loitering outside our door, drunk off their arses, pounding on our door and screaming for us to come out. Meanwhile, the noise and the music are still going on.

So I called the RA yet again. And said "Look, these guys are harrassing us. You need to do something." So she came up and sent everyone who didn't live here home. But the guys who live next door, still smashed off their butts mind you, were still outside of our door and purposely opening and slamming their doors and pounding on ours. Lauren and I were terrified. Because here we were, two 20 year old girls locked in our room because a bunch of drunk, angry, senior men were screaming at us.

So finally, a half hour goes by and Lauren says "I need to friggin take a shower." She left, and I locked the door behind her. She comes back about 15 minutes later and says "We need to move." Apparently, she heard the guys talking in the bathroom (our bathrooms are right next to eachother and the walls are very thin.) and they were telling EVERYONE on the floor how we're stupid b**ches and we called the RA on them several times. Supposedly the RA said something along the lines of "This is BS, I wouldn't even be up here if these retarded girls didn't keep calling me, but I have to because it's my job."

And now EVERYONE on the entire floor hates us. They're all friends with eachother and they're all partiers, so obviously they're going to gang up on the ones that are killing their joy. The floor has now resorted to throwing half-chewed food at our door, playing their music so loudly that our room shakes from the vibration, and constantly slamming their doors whenever someone goes in and out of any room. But we can't do anything about it!!!! We can't move, because we already talked to the Hall director about it, and she wants to "work things out" before hand. Oh yeah, that's a wonderful idea let's take the drunken losers and make them have a conference with us that'll only make them angrier. Fabulous....

On top of that, my scanner doesn't work with this computer... so I had to buy another one. Cost me another 50 bucks that I don't have. -.-() ... I really really hate it here.... It just hasn't been my week/weeks.

And now I'm off to go eat dinner by myself because the only friend I have up here is off doing things with her other friends. *sigh* Isn't life grand?

Sorry about the ranting, but I need SOME way to vent... I know it's the longest journal entry I've ever written, so if you've made it this far reading my dribble, you deserve a metal. Have a good one guys. ...I'll at least try to.

Anyway, what I really wrote this for, is that I haven't had an entry in so long. I just want to let everyone know, especially the people in the Siegfried Schtauffen club, that I'm working on their ID as we speak and it's taking me forever because I'm trying to get it as realistic as possible, so just be patient with me. I'm about half way done, not including the background.

Going back to school next weekend, so hopefully I'll write more journal entries seeing as I'll have better access to the internet there. Talk to you all soon.

Materials:

The fabric, if I can get it on sale, shouldn't cost more than $5.00 per yard. But again, that's depending on the sale. Now, how many yards of fabric I need to get depends on what size plushie you want. If it's regular sized, like the ones I previously made, (Seymour is about 12 inches, not including his hair) I don't anticipate having to buy more than a yard per color needed. Now, assuming I need a yard of each color (which is usually never the case), it'll probably come to about 25 bucks total in Seymour's case for the fabric.

Any other little odds and ends that are needed shouldn't run more than 5 or 10 bucks, depending on how detailed you want to get. (The stuff for Seymour's necklace, tatoos, tassels, and eyes for example probably only ran me about 10 bucks. I can't remember off hand.)

I'm not going to be an ass and charge for labor fees, what I'll do is just round up how much it costs for certain materials. (If fabric costs me 23.95, I'll just round up to 25)

And then there are shipping costs. Again, I'm not going to rip you off. I figure it'll probably cost about 2 or 3 bucks to ship to anywhere in the US.

So you're looking at, in the worst case scenario, about 38 bucks total.

Send me a note if you're interested, but only if you're really planning on buying. Because I won't be able to get an actual cost until I buy the materials. And by that time, I'll definately want some payment, you know? ^.~

The concert was AMAZING! They played all kinds of good stuff, and they had screens up on the stage, which I thought was just so the people sitting in the back could see the orchestra. But when they played Liberi Fatali, and the choir was singing, they showed the opening to FF8 on the big screens and I think I wet myself! Just kidding! ^.~ It was so awesome.

I was kind of sad though, because it didn't look like they were going to do One Winged Angel at all. It wasn't on the program, so I was pouting about it almost the whole time. Then after they finished all the songs, they brought the choir back out. And everyone was like "WTF is going on?" So we waited, and then they started to play the opening to One Winged Angel. Everyone freaked out and started cheering. Many people, including myself were standing and clapping like maniacs. And then they showed Sephiroth in the fire on the big screen. I think I died and went to heaven. It was so great!

^^ If you guys haven't gone to that concert yet, you should definately go to one while they're still touring. It was well worth it.

Anyway, I should have some new stuff up soon. Though I've reached a standstill because I have many drawings, but I don't want to color them. This is mainly due to the fact that I don't have a tablet. Because it will take forever for me to color them on the PC, and if I hand color them, I know it won't scan right. So we'll see. I'll have to figure out some kind of solution.

Does anyone have a copy of the new AC trailer they can send me? I haven't had a chance to see it yet because that site won't let me download it.

Anyway, the reason I wrote this was to bitch and vent. I know you guys are sick of hearing about this crap, but I need to tell someone. I haven't talked to my friends in ages.

*sigh* My new job isn't going so well. I can't say where I work because apparently it's a fireable offence to talk about it over the internet, but I'm sure you guys can figure it out since I must've mentioned it before. So my boss hasn't called me to give me freaking hours yet. Last Tuesday I brought in all the paper work and he told me I'd be working this week. Then he said he'd call me tomorrow (meaning last wednesday) to give me my hours.

Well, Wednesday rolls by, no phonecall. So I call the place on Thursday, and my boss wasn't in. So I said, "Give him the message and I'll call tomorrow." I call the next day and the same girl answers the phone, tells me, "He's in the back and can't take any phonecalls at the moment." So I said "Tell him to call me back as soon as he gets out because I need to know what my hours are for next week."

2 hours passes, no phonecall. So I call again. -"He's still in the back. I'll have him call you back as soon as he gets out."

Well, I haven't heard from the guy since. I dunno if he's avoiding me or what, but it looks like I'm not getting any hours from this guy so I'll have to go look for anther job. Which SUCKS, because it's way too late in the year to go looking for a summer job. No one wants to hire someone for just the summer, or they've already hired people! WTF?!?!!?

; ; If I don't get a job though, guess what? No college for me next semester. I can't afford art supplies and books without a job. *Sigh* So let's hope I can find one soon.

So yesterday I submitted my portfolio for a review to get into the Communication Design program at Uconn. I was feeling good about it. I had some decent work in there... figured I'd get in seeing as the two design advisors who were reviewing it were my professors, and they knew me.

In design class today, I asked my teacher when to pick up my portfolio and he said "Oh I have to talk to you about that." So I'm thinking "I'm in, and it's all in the bag." I dunno, maybe I'm just snotty as an artist, but I like to think I'm better than most of the people in my classes. (Of course, subconsiously I realize I'm not at all...) Then I noticed he was pulling other people aside too. That's when I started feeling a little nervous.

He finally takes me outside the class and says, "We wanted to talk to everyone individually about their portfolio reviews. Here's the thing, you didn't get in." And then I felt the weight of failure just come crashing down on me. ; ;... I honestly thought I'd get in. But the funny thing is, I was talking to the other kids in my design class who applied and NONE of them got in. You would think it'd be the opposite scenario.

Anyway, he told me they thought I was very talented and that I articulated myself well when describing my work, but they felt I needed another semester to improve. Or to "cook" as he put it. *sigh* I just don't understand. If my work was so good, why didn't I get in?

So here's my plan. I want to build up my portfolio more, but I need help from you guys to do it. So I'm going to start doing comission work now. The more comission work I do, the better it will look on my portfolio and resume. Here's where you come in: Please ask me for comissions!!

I'll do pretty much anything except work with Flash and professional website design. But other than that, you can ask me for ANYTHING! Posters, Logo design, Fan Art, whatever you want, okay?

The price will, of course, depend on what I'm being asked to do and the cost to ship (or not ship, depending) to you.

So guys, please help me out and give me some more portfolio material!

The highlight of my week (sarcasm, sarcasm!): I had a huge ass design project to do for Tuesday. (More square cutting. ...Yay.....) Except that I went home that weekend, and it was snowing insanely Monday night and so there was no way I was going to get it done on time. ...So I skipped class on Tuesday. We didn't do much in class that day, and I didn't miss much. Then Tuesday night, I was working on my project again trying to get it done as quickly as I could. And I slipped and sliced my finger wide open with the X-acto knife. If it didn't cut through my METAL straight edge, I would've been fine. Yeah, good times right? So, my roommate was in the shower at the time. I walk into the bathroom an say "Hey Lauren, call 911, I need to go to the emergency room." I can only imagine how much fun that must've been for her.

Then we went to the infirmary to get my finger fixed up. Thankfully, I didn't need stitches. Ugh... Then I still had to finish my project with my busted finger because it was already late, and there was no way in hell I was getting an extention. I bring it in on Thursday, and he *basically* says to me, "These are crap, redo them." And he gave us another big ass project to do over spring break. Isn't that fabulous?!?!

-.-() BUT, on the bright side, I'm going to Washington DC over spring break to chill out with my friends and get some well, deserved R+R. I think I'll bring my sketchbook and do some drawings too. It should be much fun.

Then the weekend after next, (The weekend of the 19th) I'm still looking for DA people who are going to Lunacon in NJ. Send me a note or something if you want to meet up there. I'd love to see some of you.

So that was my crappy week. It should get better. Hope you all have a good spring break, or whatever it is you're doing next week. See ya!

Anyways... Yeah, so the new Advent Children TGS trailer. God I can't wait for that movie. I need to start doing some AC drawings, but there are so many out there, it's hard to compete.

I FINALLY finished that damn art project. I had to stay up until 4 in the morning though, when I had a 9:00 class the next day. ...Yeah, that was fun. Hooray for 4 hours of sleep! O.o I'll upload it in parts when I get a chance (It's a book) so you guys can see some of the real stuff I've been working on. It's actually a lot similar to the stuff I'm doing for fun. >.< Ah well..

I've discovered through this project that I absolutely LOVE the Final Fantasy Tactics character style. Expect to see more of it in my upcomming works.

And remember, it's 925 hits now! So, ...when it hits 1,000, don't forget to note me, and I'll make you something nice. It doesn't have to be just a picture either... anything at all as long as it won't cost me more than 20 bucks, and I have the ability to make it! Just throw me a suggestion! Now it's down to business. I'm sorry there haven't been any updates lately, and I've been slow with the comments and whatnot. College art classes keep me busy, as well as a Japanese class that I have to miss every Monday. Yeah, and the professor STILL hasn't been emailing me what I need to have done for Tuesday. >.< I must've reminded him about 7 times. No matter.

If you guys are curious as to what I'm working on, just take a quick peek at my shoutboard/box, or whatever the heck it is. I update it relatively frequently so no need to panic. (like you would anyway, right!?)

In other news. Halloween is coming! I can't wait. My roommate, Lauren, and I are planning on dressing up as elves this time. Hopefully we can get the costumes made. All I need is a cloak, really, and some fake ears. But with lack of fundage, that might be a difficult task.

I finally uploaded a Dev ID! >.< It took me forever to get one up, didn't it? I actually made that picture for my dormitory floor's Resident Asisstant. She was making a bulletin board of stuff that represents each of us, so I drew her that to put on it. It's not bad. I may put up a photo when something good comes along. Maybe! ... I'm not very photogenic....

Yesterday, I bought a nice Manga tutorial book, which I don't really need all that much, but I figured it would be helpful, and I was excited because it came with all types of media. It came with a box that included inking pens, paints, and a bunch of different pencils. So I decided to try it out this morning... I read the whole book, and it didn't give me any directions on how to use the damn pens...

Now, keep in mind I've never used inking pens where you have to actually put the ink in them first before you use them. I thought it would be fairly simple. ...No... I got ink EVERYWHERE!!! All over me, over my drawing, over the book, ...everywhere. Thankfully, it didn't spill on my clean bedspread... I would've been pissed.

I finally figured out how to use the damn thing, but once I was finished inking the drawing, I couldn't do anything with it because I had to wait for it to dry... So now I'm waiting. I don't even want to finish this friggin' picture...

Anyway, moral of the story, Digital media is much better than traditional.. Ugh...

On top of all that, I'm having a continuing argument with my friend Chris about who's the better FF villain: Kefka, or Sephiroth. He says Sephiroth has no personality...but I could argue the same thing about Kefka... Personally, I think Kefka's the worse villain. He had no motive other than craziness and powerlust. I'd like to know what you guys think. Who IS the better villain, really?

I definately suggest you read Dominic's Wing, the book he's writing.
