Mood: Bitter and Angry

I just want to scream at someone sometimes.

Finals week is mad as usual, but particularly so this semester. My workload would be a lot simpler, easier and lighter if my lecturer did NOT screw up last semester and pigeonhole me into doing a 2 semester long project on something technical I have absolutely NO experience in doing!

She did not inform me that I could have had a easier, simpler option for my subject matter and technical expression, the COW! Now I'm lagging behind because of the extra technical effort I have to put into it irregardless of the tantamount workload from the other subjects/modules ... stab stab ...

rant rant rant rant rant ...

Sure ... I think I can finish it all.
Whether its good, (or good enough to pass) is another question or post entirely.

Yeah, failing school isn't the end of the world. Hah!

There always a road, a path, a journey.

I have all these deadlines and projects left to finish school up ... just one more week, and I think: why?
Obvious reasons: Good education = Good job later on in life.

But the job doesnt define my life. It would certainly make things easier and the quality would be materialisically (and aesthetically) raised, to earn cash.
Or maybe it should ...

I'm not in school for school's sake. I wish I were ... to learn that is. To honestly claim that I want to learn something this academic institution has to offer.

So far, I still feel a little ... assimilated into a system I believe little in or see none at all.

I don't even want to go into destiny, fate and free will ... but just dissolute the idea to sometimes you feel like there's no choice but to live. Double-edged as that phrase may be.

I'll be digging up some of my older pieces or re-editing them erstwhile sitting and idling the corner of creative quagmire. Most of the pieces are a year old but I'm sure the viewers won't mind. =^.^= Of course, some will end up in scraps as well.

I have not been active online ... not since school has begun a few weeks ago. Time does sweep by academically as I find the completion my semester coming to an end in a matter of two short months. Yet, time has abated its irksome pace on the rest of my perceptions.

I could reason and claim that schoolwork has been eating away at whatever free wanton time I could have had gallavanting about the internet and doing digital artpieces for the masses (and for personal aesthetics too). I could ... but it is inaccurate. There's a 'slump' I'm experiencing which in effect is slowing down my academic progress and has been counter-contributive in its consequences. Maybe I can't concentrate; though its easy to just say that I should ...
Easier to say than to do, in any case.

My ineffectual efforts to define and originate this 'slump' has lead me to more sombre, deeper depths. I'm glad I have my dear partner, Evan to aid me but this feels like a personal gothic silent horror, it seems I must go through. In any case, I dearly appreciate any worth and support he has always offered. Thank you, baby.

This 'withdrawal' from social interaction and communication both IRL and Online is nothing new but the timing usually sucks. It feeds and permeates its erstwhile slovenly tendrils into every aspect of my life. I recognize this 'emotional beast' though I rarely hear its warning call. I don't have defense and it debilitates my chance at looking at life in the light. It creates a overcast shadow of bleak gray nothingness, ambient with nonchalance. It barrs me from exploration, enthusiasm and passion. Its drying and drowning all at once.

I bear third party witness to how my academic and social life hangs at its bare threads and how it seems to hang fragile and precarious to sanity. The lingering guilt of failure and the hungering anticipation of desperation looms expectantly behind but unseen for now. Because I bear only witness to my own life, it seems I am ineffectual toward it and my own thoughts are irrelevant and disregarding.

Crap.
Swear and expletives.

I apologize for those to have been awaiting new artpieces, there is little consolation except that I am planning (albeit slowly) a slew of characters for a comic I'm sure I'll never finish. But there will be art based on it, that much I know can be assured.
To the members of the Private Exchange (P.E.) and Brianne D. : My silent, passive withdrawal is not a cause of any effort I have tried to bring in. I love the camaderie and worth it has. My sincerest thoughts when I say I'm sorry for not being active nor participatory. Keeps your fingers crossed, that the seas of Gloom will part soon for me to cross it untouched and unscarred,

I appreciate the patience of the many and the understanding of the few.

I think i need to take a break from school. I'm feeling like this frazzled, tense creatiure who's being confined in a small box with no opening thats floating on the open sea, bobbing up and down the surface as if unsure whether to sink of not. Caught between ebbs and choices ...

The winds of change, the unchanging rhythm and the frightful depth of potential just seething outside beneath the box.

So how do I go about getting this 'comissions'? I heard its this thing called money for artwork that you produce. Sounds nice, I could always use money. But even before I can consider pricing my services ... (oo that sounds naughty, pricing my services).

Will anyone actually commich my stuff/art? I know I can do decent art, but in my art links and contacts (online and offline), I don't feel like there's really any question why anyone would prefer mine over any of theirs. Even if they do ... to them! I dont think they'd pay.
Living here ... people wouldn't really pay for much. So my best bet is to get comish'es online and across the web spectrum.

Do I need a art theme/niche to reach out to though? Wouldn't it make the target commish audience more focused and easier to gather? Ao many queries ... and then there's trying to provide good quality work for that price.

Mind you ... internationally, MOST prices would ROCK since currency exchange rates are involved and even 15 US bucks would be Killer Cash for me already.

Charged as professional or amatuer ... ARGHHH!

Just a expression or a comment ... whatever.

I recently got a comment that I had a 'style', though I do not yet think I've developed one I'm assured by some friends and acquaintances there is a dinstictive 'style'. One that is recognizable; not to mention a friend had said that sh'ed seen the 'style' persist since 1997.

So what is this 'style'? And if it remains identifiable and dinstincitively so, does that means there is little improvement or change? Or merely refinement? Then whats is this refinement? I always thought it was more along the line of 'exploration' ... but is the 'style' remains, where is the exploration. ... the jmore I say it, the less I understand what it means ... :/

As for facets: I admit, I'm gald to that some people notice when there is a dinstinctive change in medium, brushwork, colour and adaptation (techniques). This means, I'm actually exploring my art as well as the tools available today (too muh sometimes) and to try and find what works (or at least achieve some sort of adequte decency in controlling the medium).

I'd like to believe there is a range of things I'm trying out.
Well, I hope so anyways.

I HATE IT!

I worked on several hours on this peice of art. I take a short rest and save my work. When I open up the program (Painter 8), the thumbnail and file is there to selet to open.

when i open it ... its BLANK!!!!! All my layers and whatever nots are there, including my pallete BUT each layer is BLANK!!!!! ARGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

So my exams are over.

I'm not sure how mnay of you are familiar with how imporatant academics are in a typical traiditonal Asian Chinese family. But it hard to deal with ...

very hard espcially is youre a recalcitratn individual by nature and haotic at heart.

Somehow it'll never seem over.
I know it will be evetually but its strange how it'll never feel over. At work you may get tested and evaluated on work performance which will cost you not grades but your job or pay. Either way, its often as harsh and ritical.

School is no different except they say you still haev a chance to 'improve' in school and pursue other activities. So why don't those in school feel that way?

Just ranting ...

coz I know exams are over but I cant rest even in the holidays, knowing I must somehow prepare for the new semester. Well, I shuuld prepare by callign in and getting the advanced on the academic curriculum so I being the new semester 'pre'ared'. That's what I'm taught at by my parents at home anyways.
Yet, I still fail some subjects. Canyone care to venture a theory why? Maybe I should get tested for Dyslexia!

but i'm a little btter now.
Got a couple of artpieces Id like to finish and the wonderful people of PE helps me get my mind of other concerns besides the philosophical ones.

And an RPG game to prepare.

exams are over in 2 days.
i think ... no i know! I failed a class.and only MAYBE scraped thru the other 2.

i'm partially looking forward to SCHOOL ENDING! but i'm also dammed disappointed that I will not pass some of my subject if not all. I know this for a fact.

i did badly in school so far. I dunno why.
i think i'm depressed but I cant explain why. only my boyfriend makes e happy and he tries so hard to make me happier but i dont think he can do moe than what he's already done. enter my life.

I am so gonna get it from my parents (my Dad in particular). I'm gonna die for the lecture at least some part of me will.
