Plot Premise: The plot I have in mind is an actiony/supernatural story revolving around a group of 4 misfit characters led by a mysterious mentor who's name changes upon the nationality of the individual he is addressing (explained more in his section below). With the exception of this "mentor" character, all the major cast have something that is seriously wrong with them either mentally or physically when under normal circumstances would make them all but invalids. However the mentor gathers his collection of "broken things" and fashions them into a group of top caliber assassins which seem to save the world from threats both internal and external. Regardless of methods used...

Major Cast Listing: 5 Mains (Making this the 2nd lowest cast listing next only by one character beaten by Azure Dawn.)

"Jomei"- "Jomei" is the name this character originally gave to Kureiji upon their first meeting. As she was the first to be recruited by him the other characters agreed to refer to him by this name regardless of the alternate pseudonyms Jomei gave to them. Jomei is a character shrouded in enigma and mystery. A shrewd businessman on the surface but a ruthless assassin underneath the public persona. He seems to have powers beyond that of any of the other cast, a feat in and of itself. His morals are someone...skewed, to say the least. If anyone or anything gets in his way it is sure to die a painful and probably not so quick death, but despite this force of malice Jomei has never been known to show more than a trace of emotion.

It is of note that Jomei's given name changes upon the nationality of whomever he is addressing. If he speaks to a Russian person, he gives a Russian name for an example. So it is for certain that Jomei is not his true name.

Kureiji- The story of this character is a rather unusual one as the body and soul of this character were originally not born together. A young girl within the land of Japan was born with a guardian spirit watching over her since birth. This spirit happened to be that of an Usagi (rabbit). However during her teenage years an horrific incident occurred in which the girl was brutalized by her fellow peers and left for dead. The guardian spirit tried to merge with her soul, but the hatred felt by the dying girl corrupted the effort and all was in vain. Yet during the attempt the Usagi spirit wound up grafted onto the girl's body and caused a dark miracle. Her body was brought back to life, fully merged with the Usagi (which resulted in Kureiji's body having real rabbit ears instead of humans) and containing all the rage and hatred felt upon the moment of death. The Usagi spirit went mad and slaughtered all those responsible for the girl's death.

Later she was rescued by Jomei and recruited to join his group of assassins. Kureiji's damaged mind and spirit leads to her being very childish and possessive. Her temper can blaze up with little to no provocation and once she begins to attack whatever has fixated her anger there is precious little anyone can do to stop her.


Reaver- Reaver was born an ordinary grey wolf and was later captured by North American military for experimentation for bio-organic weaponry. Reaver was subjected to an extensive battery of tests which increased his mental powers in both intelligence and the mystical art of Psionic powers. Eventually this triggered an usual effect to change into a humanoid form, however both this form and his wolf form was left with deep scarring over the entire body which glows a deep hue of blue (as do his eyes).

Reaver was eventually judged to be too self-aware to be used as a weapon of war and they sought to destroy him. However Reaver's self-awareness has progressed far beyond what anyone had calculated, as had his powers. Said powers were then used to obliterate the facility and Reaver set himself upon the remaining staff members.

It was there he was recruited by Jomei during the height of the struggle. Reaver can be said to be the tactician of the team due to his high intelligence, but his experiences have left him quite mistrusting of anyone even resembling a human being. Due to his extensive scarring he also cannot venture into public except under special circumstances.

Bad News: So...I'm only two references from having everything I need for Scarlet Dusk. No other story in my triad has come this far down the development scale until now...and guess what happens? Midnight's Prism. That's right, not content with three incomplete universes clouding my mind a 4th one has sprung up with such ferocity and potential that I simply cannot ignore it.

Expect a rough blueprint sometime in the near future.

And maybe another 50 Traps list. I have way too much creative energy to burn and I need to filter it into something. ~.~

To clarify: Basically at this point in time I'm under a fair amount of stress and am prone to strong acts of pouting and moodiness. The prior journal entry was a knee-jerk reaction that while I'm not retracting entirely, will probably not remain 100% true. I apologize for my prior immature, childish outburst like that.

The explanation is simple: I got a series of rejections at the worst possible time, so it will in all likely hood be quite an extended period of time before I even consider revisiting my work as a writer. Bluntly put my ego needs time to heal. I was already in a slump prior to this and having my work rejected as legitimate writing material did very little very little to improve that. Again I apologize for the needless drama post. Thanks for putting up with me.

That being posted, I'm afraid the time has come where I'm going to have to put two of my projects on the back burner. I simply do not have the time or resources to work on all three. It's getting harder and harder to find artists I can afford on my non-existent budget and those few I have are really busy with their own lives. So if I try to do all 3 projects none of them will ever get finished due to this whole massive slow-down. And on my end these new classes are extremely taxing both emotionally and intellectually (Introverts, never try to do theater, it'll make you cry.), so even if I had the money and artists I don't think I could write 3 stories at once anyway.

So, for now Azure Dawn and Emerald Skies are being placed in the freezer. Here's why:

Azure Dawn: Still haven't worked out a full secondary cast list yet so I don't know what I would need to even finish it. In addition the prototype chapter has been a relative failure thus far. With the exception of my posting here I haven't even been able to pay people to read it. And the one place I managed to get it posted for reviews, it has been pretty much ignored with one good rating by a friend and a failure rating by a stranger. Let's just say I don't feel very confident in my writing abilities if you can't even pay someone to read your work.

Emerald Skies: This one I'm hiatusing just because of the extensive writing work it would take to finish. I still have some characters I haven't designed yet and the secondary work list is quite large. In addition this one requires me to find someone who can draw motorcycle style machines. Which on Gaia is virtually impossible and I lack the money to hire anyone I've seen on DA who does such work.


Therefore the project I'm going to focus on is Scarlet Dusk. And hopefully that one won't bomb like Azure Dawn has...we shall see.

Doesn't seem hard but the professor (bless his soul) is new at this and I'm so confused about what to do in this class...I guess we'll find out when I turn in the first project if I'm barking up the right trees or not...

Project Update: Oh...if you haven't noticed by now. I can't count. On my last journal entry I seem to have been under the impression that 3/5 = 80%. XP This update should be more accurate.

Anyways, here's the big favor I need and would ask of everyone. One of the options I've been considering for Emerald Skies (highly influenced by my playings of Wild Arms XF) is to make it into an SRPG. However for this I would need a spirte artist. This is something I've thought of before anyway as I could also go the route of a sprite based flash animation.

However my searches have yielded basically squat. I checked with people who do custom sprite based comics and even the one man I have watched for a while in the past seems to have dumped all his sprite works for a...to be polite, more "modern culture" project.

Therefore I haven't found a single person able to or willing to make sprite sheets or even sprite references of characters.

For what I want, think like FF6, Wild Arms XF, ect. Just something in that range, and even more preferably someone who uses Gaia Online as I can more easily pay commission fees over that than I can in RL money as that highly fluctuates and I never know when I will have spare cash for art investments.

If you know anyone like this, please re-direct them to me as I need all the help I can get these days.

Azure Dawn- This is the project related to my "Within" story. The tale of Sabbath and Reaver (not the ones you know from the 2nd project except in personality alone) and their adventures through an older time (circa 1920's-30's) as told from the view of Reaver, a wolf companion to Sabbath. This genre is a bit of fiction mixed in with slight traces of film noir, dealing with super natural creatures and occurences.

The title is meant as a reflection of the three projects I'm working on as well as an analogy of the story content itself. Azure Dawn refer to he sky just before the sun has lifted over the horizon. It's a beautiful sight to behold yet it is still dark enough for many unseen things to be hiding in the shadows (referring to the semi-thrilling nature of the supernatural content); and in the end you know the sun will fully rise and everything will be fully illuminated.

Emerald Skies- The second project is contains the material that pervades a majority of my gallery and spending efforts. ( >>; ) You should be familiar with the various cast members and if you're not then the cast profile is posted for all to see. This story tells of the exploits of Zeron and Alia, two artificiers (ancient artifact retrievers) in a world that has undergone a major technological reset within the past millenium and how their lives drastically change after a chance encounter with the blue haired Lyriel. The genre in this tale is a mix between science fiction, fantasy, and fiction. Simply put, there are so many elements of each jumbled together that it cannot be pinned down by a single genre type.

This title was originally intended to work Midday or Noon into the wording but there was just no way to make it sound decent. So I went with skies (something one usually refers to around midday or the early afternoon...or when it rains but that is highly beside the point). In this case the allusion is that the story is relatively light hearted albeit prone to spots of tension and excitement. However where it is noon on one side of the world, it must be midnight on the other. Ergo this story does have a darker half that is hidden underneath and will come to the surface as time goes on.

Scarlet Dusk- The newest, third, and hopefully last project I have begun is quite simply put; a tale of a young girl who suddenly finds herself with the powers of your typical magical girl. However unlike most stories, this character isn't a saint, tragic heroine, or even ruffian turned good. Rather she is a normal (albeit jaded and slightly judgmental) woman who finds herself with the power and the option to inflict punishment upon humans rather than the creatures she originally was intended to seal. Bluntly, yes this is a Magical Girl (Mahou Shoujo) style story, but it is highly unusual for the genre in that it is intended to be very dark.

The title, as one might guess, is a reflection of the sun right as it drops below the horizon. Meaning this is a time where darkness begins to fall and the nastier things the world has to offer come out in lieu of the ever increasing shadows. Ironically, despite being a magical girl genre this is intended to potentially be the darkest out of all my three projects and is probably not for those with reservations about graphic violence, passion, and just in general the darker side of things humanity has to offer.

Whelp, to begin. The story project should have an update coming soon. Hopefully more than one depending on what gets written within the next couple of days. At present I do believe I have all the information needed for my cast profiles and world vocabulary bank. So that's the first big step I've taken towards finishing this project. Speaking of which, I think it's time I have the project a name (not the story mind you, that's still frustratingly beyond my reach). And that name is...

Nocturne Tantalus

Why? Because I do most of my work on it at night and it tantalizes me to no end that this project isn't complete even though I started it 3/4ths of a year ago and seem to have made little headway on it. >.<; Although I do have to give a big thank you to those who have drawn for me on this project. Without you to help inspire me I don't think I'd have even made enough scribbles to fill a page. I honestly do appreciate all you have done for me, thank you. ^_^ Anyway...*cough* right. -You never see "Artist looking for good writer", it's always vise-versa.
-You never see people paying $200,000+ for a one of a kind novel, but they'll pay that for a painting that looks like a crude mixture of snot and oil.
-No one ever says "Write me a story please! I'll pay X currency for it!". But they'll gladly pay hand and fist for any sort of art no matter how low grade it may be.


*sigh* End rant.

Long story short: Did some questioning around and basically people these days are "Wt* would I do with a story? And if you really want to write one give it to me free or gt*o."

Not that I personally would ever have the motivation to hire out my writing skills, this is just a random observation.

*glances at clock* Kay so...more writing, food, printing off stuff, then more writing to at least get the sixth artifact written up.

Fyi, don't expect anything too fancy. This is just super light rough plot stuff I'm doing. I just need a blue print of the plot though in order to copyright it officially so that's what I'm shooting for.

Right now the plot has more holes and blank spots then...well...you know. Still, I really want to finish this before the 20th but I have so little done on it. *sigh* I feel like I'm at the point where I need the first parts of the story to play out before I can write the rest...probably is I need the rest for it to be written in the first place...arghabugabuga. >.<

Long story short: People are dishonest, they scam Gaia with fake eChecks, Gaia gets pissy and bans eCheck payment for their MCs. I can only pay with eChecks. No MCs = No Gaia gold = Nothing to pay for commissions on Gaia once my funds run dry.

*sigh* Morons. People who scam should have certain things chopped off with no pain killer given beforehand.

Edit: Now that the initial irritation has worn off I have to say: No I really don't want Gaia to be hacked. Just one of my few and far between hissy fits where I sometimes say a few means things for no good reason.

Now I just have to finish up the plot...which I've written maybe 15-20% of. If I can get that finished, and between the profiles and commissions I might actually have enough to feel comfortable enough to attempt to convince someone to team up with me for a web-comic if I ever get out to a decently sized convention.

Granted my ambition has grown a little, I'd love for this to be an actual manga or even a TV series. So I'll still keep my hopes up for that someday while still thinking realistically.

Bad News: That wasn't the problem. The motherboard is virtually toast. When taking apart my computer's insides one could literally get a thick film of soot on their hands from handling the metal parts.

Good News: Not only is a new motherboard free thanks to my warenty on the computer but that "should" fix the problem for good.
