So its been a busy week. Made a costume, had my mac in the shop (which i'll be getting back today), and just working. Its been pretty hectic, but now half of those things will be off my plate soon so thats good.

So my computer was indeed dead. Its Nvidea (sp?) video card was pooped (you were right Victor so shut it. ) And since this is a well known problem Mac fixes and replaces the logic board for free! (well really the bill gets sent to Nvidea, and that bill includes all mac's who have the same video card failure. One hell of a big bill, eh?) Sooooo Apple once again earns my love due to the fact this $1000 plus repair will be free. And I'm not even under warranty. Lets just hope that they don't see old crusty juice on the inside of the computer and say that's the reason why the comp died and won't pay for the repair.

So that happened today along with gathering the needed components for my halloween costume! Kick ass. Now its just a matter of small details and doing the make up the day of the HVS party. I'll be sure to post pictures...And to bring "the pretty".

Well today started like any other day. Woke up next to my man, took a shower, kissed him goodbye as he left for work. Went to my computer and thats where the normalcy died as I stared into a black screen.

It appears that my computer (a 2007 mac book pro) is completely unresponsive and doesn't even boot up enough to play the apple sound. I now have to organize a meet with those apple people and see whats up. Oddly enough I'm not too bummed about it (even if I do have one last duel with ~Nekrus due this Saturday and had about 2 pages worth on my computer which wasn't backed up.) Still I'm not too bummed cause without a computer to work on perhaps I can go back to traditional media. I have been wanting to take a break from computers since I'm on one all day at work and maybe just slacking off on getting mine fixed is the ticket.

But yeah, I may just have to go back to my last duel with pencil and paper, and that could be fun. I'll keep everyone posted from my work comp and boyfriends computer on whats what. Later.

That's right, I just got done walking the Worlds Largest Corn Maze with my boyfriend. Apparently Illinois is host to this wonderful field of corn maze-ness and is located on the very edge of our northern boarder.

11.4 miles of maze to walk with 24 markers spread throughout to find. We found them all and got two certificates and shiny super star stickers! Pretty awesome. I feel accomplished today. Even if my feet and legs are a bit sore now, but in a good way.

Nothing serious, just a little headachy. Probably from me turning on the heater for the first time in months and there is a new layer of dust over just about everything. Today was pretty uneventful and blessedly so. No hurty things and stuff. Still looking for new pants and maybe a cute skirt. Did get a hair cut today along with Brad so that was fun, but it took longer than we thought cause of my massive head of hair and I tipped the hairdresser well. But she's cool so its all good.

In other news as we sit here chilling (literally from the freaking cold outside!) I found this awesome video of flash animation on youtube. [link] . It is so visually stunning and set to such a fine soundtrack apparently from this Canadian band. I haven't gone and researched everything yet but I really will because of this music video. Seriously, watch it. Its soooo....wow... Makes me want to animate something now.

****UPDATE****

Take back the Canadian Band part. The bands name is "I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness". I just bought a couple of their CD's and hope to give them a good listen too. From what I've already heard from just playing bits and snippets it sounds a lot like Interpol but with a more constant melody and with a darker undertone. Sadly I think they might be going away cause their website doesn't even exist anymore and they're Myspace page is pretty outdated. Talk about finding a band way after the fact.

Getting that second opinion today, which is good. I probably should have gone sooner so they could see whats going on at the peak of the popping, but at least I can get stuff checked out and rule out really bad stuff.

It doesn't hurt that much anymore, still fairly sore which is why I decided to take a half day. Depending on how I feel after the appointment I'll either sleep more, or play video games. Sounds like fun, but the reason as to why wasn't. So remember kids, don't have ovarian cysts just so you can stay home from work. Its not as fun as it sounds.

And in other more unrelated news, it turns out I won my duel against my buddy =SHADOBOXXER. Which, I am surprised. As Shado kept pumping out his pages and I was trying to keep up I was saying "oh shit oh shit oh shit OH SHIT! SPARKLES!?". I am very surprised of the outcome, but also happy about it, especially with the judges comments and their reasoning.

Winner: *Alamus after a long period of debate, alamus won by a narrow margin. Shado's solid crisp art style gave her a hell of a run for the money, but alamus pulled through with her story and plotting, and her fight choreography.

It makes me happy to know that the things I spent the most time on are what got me the narrow win. I knew the victory wouldn't come from my rendering style, especially after seeing Shado's first page. Truly this was tough to get done along with work and the other stuff really mentioned at the beginning of the journal, but I must thank Shado for rooting me on the entire time.

Thanks again buddy. We gotta do this again.

Finally got to see the doctor, and yep! Had a cyst pop and my ovary is swollen by like an inch or so and is now the size of a small plum. And does that warrant any type of examination beyond just a touching one? No. My doc just prescribes me with no estrogen birthcontrol to stop me from ovulating so I stop having cysts. Even though last time i was on birth control I had my first cyst and had gained 30 pounds really quick and had crazy woman time in my head all the time. Soooo yah, now I gotta find a second opinion cause really? I don't feel right, and I don't feel right with my doctor. This ovary has been feeling strange for a long time, and i've always felt it when I was ovulating, and you arn't supposed to feel it. Which means my ovary always has cysts on it. And even though I've mentioned this to the doc he says its normal. But really I don't think me feeling pain every month and now having them grow huge to the point of abdominal pain and my ovary fucking swelling is normal. Not to mention the anxiety I feel cause really, couldn't this just be a precursor to something more serious?

Now I gotta get a hold of more doctors and in the meantime try not to be all emotional at work and meet deadlines. And it hasn't helped that I've just been feeling sad lately, even though the only stressful thing in my life right now (besides the ovary stuff) is work. Sigh*

Well its been 3 days now where I've had a dull sometimes sharp pain in my lower right abdomen. I'm pretty sure I had another ovarian cyst pop. Went through one before that was a lot worse so I pretty much know the symptoms. And it sucks. And I've tried to get to my gyno however their building flooded so now I was trying to find another doctor and most don't take my healthcare. I miss Blue Cross Blue Shield. Even though they can really do nothing for me besides taking the ovary out in the most extreme case, I would still like them to ultra sound it to make sure it was just another "normal" cyst. Blahhhhhh, sometimes I really hate being female.

In other news I'm finally done with my duel against =SHADOBOXXER. Gawwwddddddddddddddd. I really hoped to have done a better job, but I really had to rush it towards the end along with my normal work load. Still, got the story out. We'll see who wins (even though I feel I got my ass kicked again.) 2 losses in a row? Then damn, no season standing for me. That would leave me with, what, free time?? I might just be in for that.

And in other OTHER news apparently people like to use this one photo reference of me from my stock photo account.

Its pretty funny but so far there have been 3 images using this as a reference. Pretty cool. I may start doing more stock photo stuff and make my boyfriend pose for stuff.

So it turns out that light that kept coming up on my dashboard was right. One of my tires was deflating. I noticed it rather well yesterday when the rim was nearly to the concrete. And its funny cause I had taken the car to the shop and they apparently did a tire rotation and inspection of the usual things like brakes, tires, oil. Garg. It must have been a slow slow leak somewhere in the wheel. And yesterday when I took it in I helped a shop guy look for a nail or something. He didn't find it. It was awesome that he tried to help even after his shift. That made me happy.

But now my car is in the shop and I gotta call them today and maybe hopefully pick it up after 5? My boyfriend is stuck driving me around now and he's sick and I still have a lot to do at work and have been trying to stay later. Sigh, can't do that with no car. :/

Not to mention the duels I currently have and WILL get done (even if it kills me). Sooooo neh.

And nightmares suck. I've had them for the past two nights. BLEHH!

UPDATE

Gotta get a new tire cause the puncture hole was near the shoulder of the wheel (meaning up near where it meets the axle). I don't know how that happened but its gonna cost $96.10 to fix. BLEHHH poop poop.

Went to bed late again last night. Worked on a SDL comic against =SHADOBOXXER and finished up the sketches. Out of the blue, eh? Haven't done anything SDL related since the Misses thing and didn't really expect to jump into it again. But I got something in my head that should come out so I can get back to working on more personal things. I've just invested too much time into SDL Axen to let her fade into obscurity. Sooooo yeah. Getting the ball rolling.

Something I know a handful of you naughty mind ladies have been waiting to see. Don't worry, Shadoboxxer and I shall not dissapoint.

But this is by no means the only thing I have in my head right now, and am in fact making another comic. I'm not going to go into it but I can assure it will be EPIC BEYOND MEASURE!

The ultimate goal? To make a comic book to sell at Otakon 2010. Really early to even announce such a thing but really, after meeting =exileddelusion and =SHADOBOXXER in real life they struck me in such a way I just have to try. It was really inspiring. And even though I already have a full time job which demands my best artistic skills because of those two I still wanna push myself to get out on that indie comic scene. So, here's hoping.

This SDL duel and perhaps more once they happen should appear in my comic, along with that other story and then perhaps a short of Mr.Death. Not sure but that's what I got going in my head right now.

But yeah, lots of stuff going on in my head, and recently its all been pretty good.

Well I didn't have to pay for my battery! Woot!

The guy at the apple store was like "whoa! yep! that's bad". And even though I'm not under warranty he put me as I was and gave me a free battery. Squee!

I think I'm just going to keep making noises as journals. They seem to be the most well received.

Well I take my mac into the store tonight. The goal is to get a replacement battery for free. If not, then $129 for a battery. Not really what I want but I can't go without the lappy. At least my car check up was free. Apparently I had a extended warranty plan thing I forgot about which pays for oil changes and the like.

In other news someone escaped the UI department here at work. There was a ladder and a note left behind. It gave us hope.

Its been a while, yeah. Nothing really going on here, just lots of work related stuff and then just watching documentaries once home. The days are going by a lot faster and you can already feel fall tumbling down. I keep on getting plants I can't ever seem to keep alive, and my apartment always seems to get dirty right after cleaning it.

I've lots of personal things I could draw, but really, I haven't felt like it for over a week now. Its just been kinda "Meh". This is the first slump I guess I've had in a while? I dunno. Drawing it just...boring now? Or its just work? Either way I haven't done anything substantial that I feel with and that could just be hormones talking (which it probably is).

Sooooo yeah....... bleh.

Well its my last night in Baltimore. I spent most of it hanging with =exileddelusion and her peeps ~kemonoart and Shane. There was lots of talking and laughs and it really got me thinking.

Now I may be talking out of my ass or just being completely sleep deprived but I.... I'm so glad I kicked myself in the ass to come out here. I was so worried and afraid and wondering how people who I consider my respectable peers would perceive me. I had never met people over the internet, or anyone strictly from dA, but I must say I do not regret this. And for me, that's a blessing.

So I just want to thank everyone who came to say hi or whose eyes lit up when they saw me, I mean...Wow....Seriously, I'm tearing up here.

Well there has been a lot going through my head since I stopped feeling all poopy. I've had so many ideas and things and projects I want to do but I just can't stop my head from compounding all of them together into some giant ball of crap. So far these are the things I've felt like doing.

1. KIN animation. Yes, I've finally started writing my script. And I'm thinking of doing them in little vignette's that vary in length up until I get to the whole idea of the series.

2. A Resident Evil fan comic. Yep, I know. I'm a dork. But I've been freaking out since I saw the new Darkside Chronicles game that it really makes me wanna draw out this great fanfic by meris ann on fanfiction.net. Shes done a crap load of LeonXClaire fanfics and my favorite one is "The Rain in Spain".

3.Miss SDL round 3. I don't even know if I'm making it to the final round at all, but I have a lot of ideas that I'd like to do for it. So many in fact that I can't decide. :/

4.SDL duels. I've kinda thought about it and how I can make Axen a more intimate OC in SDL. But then I think about the time spent in making comics for SDL instead of working on my own series and I'm like "arggg."

5. Random paintings. Just random. :/

But yeah, lots of ideas and no way to get them all done and out like how I want them. I wish I had a clone. :/

So after my first modem died I went out and got this acti-shit whatever. And well, it sucked balls.

So today we returned it and then tried to get a netgear DSL modem/wireless thing and they didn't have them at the local best buy, so we had to go up north to the other best buy. Eventually we settled on the super duper one and its working pretty sweet so far. Here's keeping the fingers crossed.

Well so far this Friday night has been a bust, just came home because I was so dead tired from my 4 hours of sleep. Did some drawing and watched...an anime. Fruits Basket to be exact... I don't know how I feel about that. I'm usually only into more mature themed things. But for some reason I keep watching the episodes, like watching a horrible train accident.

I feel dirty.

In other news Bradley has found that amazon.com reviews such as this one [link] to be the most hilarious thing since sliced cheese. Apparently its some big movement on amazon where people write the stupidest shit on stupid products. Pretty interesting.

In other other news fathers day is coming and i plan to do something with...my dad. Unheard of, eh?

Still in other news The Conduit comes out next week! Who else is going to be in line to get their copy? I know I'll pick mine up from the Gamestop I got my pre-order from. That's going to be pretty fun. And in some more related to work news there will be a new HVS dev diary video up of the UI team. I'll post a link once it hits the web. Should be pretty funny, you all get to hear how dumb I sound and see my poofy ass hair. And I guess I'll start playing Xbox games because Bradley brought over his Xbox...I don't know what to play since all I do now is draw. :/

And in other news it is really hot in my apartment. So hot in fact my poor rat Lunch has been laying around her cage flat on her belly looking miserable. Its kinda cute though.

Yesterday the man and me hung out with my mum and went to Sam's Club for foods!!! So now we have lots of food, but there was actually something really cool at Sam's Club. They had this couch on display, a actual couch with a love seat sectional to piece next to the couch so it makes an L. And it was comfortableeeee! I wanted it so bad but it was $900 or so... And I COULD afford it, if I wasn't planning on going to Otakon. And then in Chicago there was this hoodie which was awesome but a lot and guhhh...

So its like Otakon= Meet people and travel

Or couch which means more comfort niceeee

Hahhahaha yeah. Guess I'm still on the fence? Pshhh. But yeah, that's life I guess. Well later.

Yesterday was hell of a day. One that started at 6 in the morning.

Brad and I woke up early so we could get to Naperville for his college graduation ceremony and the free breakfast that was being served. Once there we found a spot and waited around in the stupid cold rain for his family to show, eventually going in and eating a little. The family showed up, we ate a bit, some stupid rich bitch stole the fathers chair even though I said someone was sitting there, and then we were off to the ceremony...

I swear if I never have to go back to Naperville it would be the happiest day of my life. Never have I heard more bull shit and cock sucking of others than at that ceremony. Basically it was all about these guest speakers and the school president who gave themselves hand jobs and jizzed all over the graduation class. Some of which waited with open mouths. Seriously, what a load of crap. Just talking about themselves and when one would finish the other would repeat what was just said. It lasted for 5 hours.

The only saving grace was that Brad was sneaking text messages during the ceremony so that was a lot of fun. And then just screaming when he went up on stage. I liked that part. But after the ceremony we literally ran back to my car to find a gas station so we could head off to Chicago and be there by 2. Mind you it was already 1:24 by the end of the ceremony so we had to book it.

Getting to Chicago by 2:30 we met up with Danai and Alex, Danai being a fellow co-worker of mine and Alex his girl friend. We're all pretty good friends although not that close yet, but we all had a interest in this Zombie March and decided to do it together. Brad and I had originally wanted to dress up in our cap and gowns and have awesome fake wounds but we didn't have the time which kinda stunk, but we were still able to get some fake blood as a zombie infected me and poured it all over my hands.

It actually took a while to find the zombies (they moved rather quickly oddly enough) but it was worth it. Even if we did speed walk around downtown Chicago from Millennium Park to Navy Pier and back again (which roughly translates to 6 miles).

Still I had a lot of fun moaning and yelling brains. It was cool too when we went back to Danai and Alex's apartment. Really swank place right in the downtown area with a sweet roof hangout. Nice views of the city.

After cleaning up we headed north taking the red line to get some dinner at Leona's. Got there well enough but the service was terrible. Howdy, just a tiny update here and mostly for those Chicago peeps out there. Tomorrow at 2 is the Chicago Zombie March in Millennium Park soooo you should just be there. It'll be fun, and if you care to meet look for 2 zombies (boy and girl) dressed as college graduates. And its funny since my boyfriend and I will be racing from Naperville to Chicago right after his college graduation. So look out, its going to be fun.

In other news a lot of people seem to say that I shouldn't go to Otakon, what gives? Is there a reason behind the madness that a traveler wouldn't know? Fill me in on the why's people. Posting another poll.

Well that's pretty much it. Zombie make up, wine and dinner, fun times...fun times. And oh! More drawings to come. I hope to finish my Miss SDL thing either tonight or on Sunday.
