2.) Why did you pick that cosplay title?
Alara Leongod was the name of my first original character, and is my online alias. Identity Crisis is how I feel a lot about cosplay. <3

3.) What's you favorite character you've cosplayed so far?
Hojeez. I really love all of my cosplays...if I had to pick one, it would probably be Axel, because I'm most comfortable in him, and I've done him the longest.

4.) Why did you pick her/him?
I wanted someone who I could do well, and that would be good for me. My friend cosplayed Roxas, so I thought, why not?

5.) What's your favorite series to cosplay from and why?
Oh, goodness. XD Weeelll...I'd have to say a three-way tie, between Yu-Gi-Oh, Kingdom Hearts, and Saiyuki.

6.) Do you consider yourself an actor when you cosplay?
Definatly. Cosplay is 90% roleplay.

7.) What do you do to portray your cosplay character?
Walk, talk, act like they do, try to emulate them. In the case of Axel, hit on people cosplaying little boys. XD I kid. <3

8.) How do you respect the original intensions of the creator?
Very much so. I do my best to keep as close to how the creator made the characters as possible.

9.) If you consider yourself an actor as a cosplayer, what type of actor do you categories yourself in?
Categorize? Probably...like...comedy and drama. XD I guess?

10.) Do you use photoshop to improve your cosplay pictures?
My friends do, occassionally. If I take pictures, I post them as-is.

11.) Do you agree with using photoshop to in-hanse the cosplay, or do you prefer Organic photography were the original workmanship is at hand?
*enhance. Lol. I agree with using photoshop - it gives pictures that extra little umph, and makes for really good photos.

12.) What are your favorite cosplay photographers?
Sky-Pirate and Pongo!~ <3 And the Akutobur.

13.) Why do you like them?
The first two are really good photographers, very polite, and very kind to cosplayers. They're very sweet people. <3 The Akutobur is just neato frito, dude.

14.) Which Cosplayer(s) do you admire and why?
All of We Heart Card Games productions- They're all really devoted to being good cosplayers and to having fun, which is really important, and they're all very sweet.
- She is truely one of the greatest YuGiOh cosplayers I've ever seen, and she's such an awesome and kind person.
:iconanti-roxas99: - He is such a badass cosplayer; everything he comes up with is really original and amazingly executed.
and - Truely amazing cosplayers; they put a lot of time and effort into their work, and it really shows. <3

All in all, it was a really nice convention for me. I had several new cosplays to debut, met most of my old friends, several new ones, and got to know - at least a little more - a few people I'd really like to get to know more!! 'Cause isn't that what cons are about? Friends. <3

Now that I'm done Tea-speaking, here's what went down.

and I got to the con at 9:00AM on Friday - that's right, Nine A.M. XDDD We'd wanted to get there plenty early in time to avoid horrid lines for check in and badges and guess what - we did! We had everything in our room and our badges in hand no later than 9:45 AM...then we realized that the convention didn't open until noon. XD So, we mostly kind of milled around until our friends started arriving. To start off, we wore our Love Game Axel and Roxas costumes - we had created them from a story we'd written, and they went off pretty well.

and got there a few hours later, and we went down to help them pull all their stuffs into their room. Unforunatly, it got pretty hot in Axel's outfit, so we went back up to the room to change into Outfit #2 - Destiny Islands Axel and Roxas. Here's where my cosplay problems started. XD The outfit didn't turn out quite right for me, unfortunatly, though my cutie Roxas looked amazing! Anyway, we all kind of just hung out for the rest of the day, waiting for people to get there and stuffs.

SATURDAY was our next debut day. I went out for the first time in my new Reno cosplay! Yaaay! I personally thought it was really good, and I really enjoyed myself with it. Problem for Reno's cosplay - my contacts. My eyes have been acting really wierd, and unfortunatly they're not letting me wear my contacts correctly. So that took my blue eyes out of the scene...and had me walking around blind. Luckily, I had my newly debuted AXEL!! - that smexy devil !!! It was quite amazing; she looked fantastic!

As Axel and Reno we wandered around for a bit, and then went down to the Kingdom Hearts photoshoot. It was a bit small, and a bit hectic, however it went off pretty well. I met a Yuffie who held onto me and was rather cute - if you read this, let me know who you are!! - and Axel found a Roxas who was rather stuck on him. It was pretty neat, though - while I fully supported Kyle (my Roxas-turned-Axel) as being Axel, it was kinda sat that I wasn't able to be in the shoot at all. THEN I got pulled in when they did Final-Fantasy-People-In-Kingdom-Hearts pics, and felt loved. Then Reno called Xigbar old. And got pushed against a wall. Then I got pushed against a wall again. By FOUR Axels. FOUR. Then said Axels carried me away to do smexy Somebody-Nobody things. XD THEN I found an AMAZING Ven, and we went out on the floor for pictures, and I think people liked them! I'm hoping that I can find one of those pics out there- hint hint!!


Later on Saturday we went up to change for the Tales of photoshoot, and Emperor Peony came out to play! It was pretty fun, as well, though smaller even than the KH shoot, and a bit more hectic. Peony got to pimp it out with the girls from both Tales of the Abyss /and/ Tales of Symphonia, and had a grand time with as Jade and as Guy. Fun stuffs. <3 AND I HAD A RAPPIG! YAY!!

SUNDAY was our Saiyuki day! Yaaay! And to my complete and utter surprise, our Hakkai managed to make it! Gojyo was very happy. <333 Gojyo, Sanzo, and Goku (me, , and ) got pictures with SkyPirate, amazing photographer that he is, and had some more fun.

So, my big paycheck came in today, which is good. Most of the money problems from my journal before last will be solved by this, so I'm a bit more relieved about that. Those fifty two hours last week actually are paying off, thank God. XD

People may have noticed that I've been posting up a few pictures of myself. Basically, this is just a dumping session - I've been noticing my sadly neglected gallery and decided to remedy the situation. Heh. So, there are now a few new things in my gallery, ones that I actually liked. XD I promise, there aren't many.

I guess, in a way, I'm trying to put up pictures that I like in order to get a bit of a boost in self-confidence. I want to like myself. <3 Enough of that rambling.

On another good note - school starts in two weeks! I'm actually really excited about this semester - it's my last semester at Tomball, and then, HOPEFULLY, I'll head off to my big college of choice, and my first semsester away from home, in an apartment! It's a big deal for me, wish me luck!!

Now I'm working on a few cosplays things, but mostly commissions! Hooray for money making! XD

Y'know, I really hate to rant, I do, but I'm gonna spill somma my guts on a dA journal. Why? Nothing else to do. And I feel like being selfish enough to rant about problems that aren't big but I feel they are so I'm going to share. Don't like it? Don't read it. But have a nice day. : )

For all of you who actually decided to stay through that (you brave few, you), this is what's been going on in my life.

So, my birthday came and went, and I'd like to take a moment to thank all of you that wished me a Happy Birthday. <3 My love and appreciation goes out to all of you - you don't know how much those simple words really mean to me. Thank you all so much for your good wishes.

However, apparantly I've got this bad habit of feeling bad for something good that I do. As in - my fun birthday trip to San Antonio. On the way back, I got a ticket for speeding. The day after my 20th birthday. As if that didn't suck enough, it was because I was going the SLOWEST of the speeders. The group around me was doing 85, and I was at 80. On a 70. Where EVERYONE speeds. So, blah. Now I have to take defensive driving, pay for that. Money that I really don't have at the moment, so I feel bad for using all that money to have a fun weekend for myself. :/ See what I mean? Bad habits. Baaad habits.

Of course, that lovely little green paper stating my crime isn't the only lovely note I've gotten over the past few days. Couple of days ago I got a letter that came in stating that I was turned down for a student loan. I'm way behind, and trying to get into a big college like that...not a good thing to be. So now I'm trying to find more ways of money to get myself into college.

I also went into the Sprint store today to find out why they were charging extra data minutes to my phone, when I don't use the internet at all. Turns out, my plan, though it CLEARLY states free sending and recieving of pictures messages, charges me data minutes (that's going on the internet) to open my picture mail. Damn you, hidden fees. So now I have to get a new phone plan, because I refuse to pay almost seventy dollars a month for a plan that doens't even give me what I pay for, and I can't afford to upgrade. So I'm going to lose that nice, fat 250 downpayment on my sprint plan, because the company is a lying...yeah, not gonna finish that. Plus on top of that, I have to shell out nearly another 200 dollars to get my new phone. /Lovely./

Then there's my car. Those who are especially close know about all the troubles I've been having with the old girl. My air conditioning was out for three months in HOUSTON, TEXAS, of all places, so I had no AC. Finally got that fixed, what with my dad being the automotive genious he is, saving me hundreds, but I still had to pay nearly 200 to get it fixed. THEN something fell off my car, so I took it to the Auto Zone near my house, only for them to tell me that nothing was wrong. I had found and shown them the part that fell off, only for the guy to tell me that he didn't know what it was and THROW IT AWAY. That's right, folks. He threw. It. Away. So, me, cheered immensely that nothing was wrong, went on a nice fifty mile trip...only for my car to break down thirty miles in, at night, in a construction zone on a strip of freeway. Turns out the part he threw away was vital to my car, and he didn't bother to check and tell me that. So my poor parents, and poor and had to come out and get me. Then, the awesome and poor Guy had to drive me to work the next morning at the ridiculous hour of 7 AM. An hour away. I felt terrible...then after work, had to shell out another 50 bucks to get that part replaced, as well as have my poor dad put them in. THEN I get told that my car needs new brakes and another new part. So now I'm going to have to shell out another 200-250 to get those fixed.

Now my job is being all screwy. My boss is amazing, but the higher-ups are being...well...ridiculous. They're changing all of our hours, repeatedly, moving people around, firing us, then telling us after all that that we aren't doing our jobs right. Good thing I'm leaving in a few weeks. :/ I hope my new job - working in the theatre at my school. <3 - will be better.

THEN I have zero time to work on my commissions lately - a very bad thing, as two of them are rapidly approaching the due date. SUCK. I'm going to have to up the ante if I want to get anything done. *Sigh*

Man, I haven't had a good rant journal in awhile, y'know? Most of the time I'm a happy face, and I like that, but every once in awhile, y'gotta let things out, or you'll explode. Or do something worse that will only hurt your friends and family, and maybe yourself. Dumb. So I write it out. Blah.

Man, that was completely random, that last little bit. Anyway. I love helping people, I really do. I love being there for my friends, I love giving them answers and solutions whenever I can. I try to keep a cool head to do my best to help people out, I try to keep smiling to cheer people up, calm them down. I try to be on top of things, and though my communication skills may indeed, suck, I think I do pretty well. So it reeeeally gets to me when people:

A)Call me a bad friend because of things I say that they don't like.
B)Fuss at me because I give them answers that I think are best when they ask for help, but it's not what they want to hear.
C)Assume things about me that are completely untrue; that I'm cold, that I'm a fake, that I have never had a heartbreak in my life.

And so on and so forth. Things like that just kinda...hurt. Y'know?

Anyway, that's just about enough ranting from moi, so I'll get down to the meat and bones of it. Look, people - if ya don't like it, that's how I am. I know, I know, I've heard it from /several/ people that "that's the way they are". Well, if they can use that excuse, I can too. Helping people, staying calm, trusting people, being there for everyone at once is the way /I/ am. I have lots of things on my mind, and though, God knows, I'm not the brightest, or the best of friends, I do my best. So if you don't want my help, my opinion, don't ask for it. If you don't like the way I do something, feel free to tell me, but don't ask me for help then diss me for it. I'm tired of being treated like that, a lot by some people, a little by others. Lot or little, it doesn't matter. No one should feel like dirt because they tried to help someone.

Wow...okay, I'm done for real now. Swear.

Anyways, back from Anime Matsuri.

I had a lot of fun at this con. Things happened, but they do at every con, and I'm glad to say that for the most part everyone worked past it and we had a good time.

The completely renovated Emperor Peony cosplay was AMAZING. I am so happy it turned out as good as it did, which is like...a bajillion times better than the first one was. My amazing new blonde hair, courtesy of , was a huge hit. Got pictures with Pongo in it, and all kinds of stuff. oh, yeah...and I could sit down! Always a huge perk. XD

I'm sad that it didn't turn out that I could cosplay Jibril and Konan at this con. I really wanted to do them, but time managed to screw me over, so...no luck. However, we are planning photoshoots currently so that I can show them off. :3

Gojyo went well, as before, with one good extra thing and one bad. The bad first...I LOATHE THOSE ANTANNAE. Rawr. They refused to stay up, no matter how much people worked with them. The good thing was that I finally had cigarettes, the little fakey smoking kind. Neato frito. <3

The ranch stay was awesome. The place is as beautiful as ever, and everything turned out at the end. And I made Peony burgers. Woot. :3 I hope that everyone liked them, and I hope to make them again soon.

Of course, what with it being a con that 1) I wasn't quite prepared for and 2)had a lot of stuff to do for it, we ended up staying up ridiculously late and/or early, so we got about...6-9 hours of sleep over the whole weekend. Fun, fun. But I made it through classes today without falling asleep. XD Points for me.

Now that Anime Matsuri has come and gone, I need to finish up some delayed weaponry, and then, off to work on another round of cosplays. The good news is that after A-kon, there isn't a con for three months, giving me plenty of free summer time around work and theatre to get stuff done and FINALLY see people! Yaaay!

Now, for those that know me, don't worry. I'm not planning like...twelve cosplays at the moment. , I know you're going to A-kon. If I manage to make it, I'm going to try to have Chesire Cat Axel all done and ready by then. We can have some fun. Yay! , I'm also going to try to have Jibril all fixed up, unless you won't be using Angel Sanctuary at that con. If not, I'll see you there. <3

I'm also trying to figure out who all is going, so if you are, note me and let me know. Now, I know that a few of us are doing alternate outfits with other groups on this day for a few hours. Just remember to be in TOA cosplay for photo oppurtunities!
Sunday - This is again, TOA Day, but personally, I was thinking of putting together AU outfits for the cast. If you want to, feel free, unless one of the higher-ups would rather us not. I think it'd be a fun oppurtunity to do some experimentation with costumes and outfits.

It was a great experience, for me personally. I had so much fun, from photoshoots, to new cosplays, to seeing old friends and meeting new ones! Everything went really well, considering. I got to drive down to Austin - it was a first for me, usually we carpool and I catch a ride with someone. But noooope! This time I got to drive, and not only was it ridiculously easy (even though our GPS ran out of battery halfway there - apparantly my car charger thingie eats battery life instead of charges it. XDDD), it was a lot of fun! and I drove the whole way listening to random music and pointing out funny signs. KICKAPOO! No lie. There was a road called that. It was a source of random laughter for at least an hour afterward. YES - we are lame. We understand this. Kyle - I <3 you. n.n

Parking was the only issue when we got there, apparantly there were like...two garages, and we went into the wrong one. XD But my car got parked and we finally got everything inside, and finally got down to the con at about 2 on Friday afternoon. Which wasn't bad, considering had an EPIC Hidan cosplay and needed some extra time to put on her face paint. <3

Friday was Mafia Akatsuki day for us, and gawd, was it awesome! We had so many people compliment us on the cosplays, the effort, etc. made such an AWESOME Kuyubii it wasn't even funny, Hidan () was totally freaking everyone out on the scariness level, and Sasori ()and his puppet () were just like...awesome. I went as Konan, and people said I looked pretty. Tee hee!

Friday night I got to be a bouncer at 's and 's Anime Dating Game. Totally. Epic. Awesome. Time. We had so much fun hosting and...ahem...participating. *Winkwink* It was really great, and I met lots of great people. I can't wait to do it again!

Saturday there was a Kingdom Hearts photoshoot, so I got to be Axel for a bit. It was a lot of fun, lots of people attended, the Demyxs' did the Sitar Dance (excellently done, by the way. Axel likes to watch the little boys dance. XDDD), and the other Axel and I got attacked by Larxene! Whoot! I mean...aah! >>;

After the photoshoot on Saturday we went back up into the room and got into our Saiyuki cosplay. Everything turned out so awesome!!! I was Gojyo, was our Sanzo, was our Goku, and was our Kougaijii. Sadly, our Hakkai wasn't able to make it at this convention, but we hope to do a full group cosplay soon! Anyway, we did a walk-on as Saiyuki, and it turned out, I think, pretty good! We got a nice amount of cheering, and people wanted photos as soon as we walked off stage. Yay. <333

Well, let's see. I know it's the third already, but here is my "it's the new year's first inspriational/update journal" thingimajig.

Anyways, things have been going pretty well for me, I'm glad to say. I've got a brand new job that totally kicks ass, because though it's a bit slow, I get to play on the computer a bit, gives me time for college homework, and I get paid bookoos of money for doing it. Can't really beat that. I'm really blessed to have gotten this job.

School-wise isn't such good news - I've found out that I'm going to have to push back Sam Houston until probably 2010, in the fall. Maybe Spring of 2009, if I can manage that. Money wise, even with the job, and things like that are gonna keep me here. So, to my friends going off to college, I'll really miss you, and I hope to see you soon. My friends here at home -I'll be here awhile yet.

COSPLAY. Oh, goodness, where to begin? Just came back from Oni-con 08, which wasn't the best con I've ever been to, but it definatly wasn't the worst. A bit disorganized, yes, but I got to go to Vic's panel and see him (Yay. <3), got to go to the concert for a bit, to the rave, and most importantly, see all of my friends, as well as met new ones that I can't wait to see again. Unfortunatly, it was my last full weekened as Axel. DON'T WORRY PEOPLE WHO KNOW ME. I would never get rid of Axel; he simply needs a small vacation. He'll be at the con for all of his fans for a short time, though, so you'll see him. <3 Major cosplays, though, are slowly coming together.

Kay, first things first. Oni-con, December 19-21...until another hurricane rips through Houston and pushes it back again. >< Until that happens, this is the current date, and that's what I'm attending first.

At Oni-con, I'll be continuing the tradition as Axel. We'll have an Organization group there, so obviously I'm bringing Organization Axel. Accompanying that, I'll be doing a special cosplay with my Roxas - Destiny Islands Axel (and Roxas <3). This was the plan - we stil want to, but if the weather in Houston actually turns cold (OMG) then we might have to relocate that until a slightly warmer con. Hopefully not, as I really want to do that one. I will also be doing Emperor Peony, perhaps, for a little bit, depending on whether or not We Are Louetta goes to that convention. It remains to be seen.

Ikki-con, February 6-8...hurricane considering, again. <3

At Ikki, we'll be turning over a whole new leaf, and part of my group will be going as the Saiyuki gang. I'll be going as Gojyo (yay <3)and my Roxas will be Sanzo. We also have a Goku, a Kougaiji, and a possible Hakkai. We will also be doing original characters, posted by . I will be Sugar...let's hope I can get her body before then. XD Those who know me as Axel, however, never fear - your favorite fire-wieling Nobody won't be far, and will most likely make a cameo appearance.

Anime Matsuri, April 10-12

Anime Matsuri is going to be kinda tricky, considering monetary issues so fast after the other cons, but we're fully planning to go for it. I'm going to be juggling two cosplay groups, one a Tales of the Abyss, titled We Are Louetta, in which I will be the fabulous Emperor Peony the IX of Malkuth, and my other group is the newest, one for Angel Sanctuary, in which I'll be the Elemental Angel Jibril. Again, Axel may very well make an appearance...if he gets enough fangirl calls. *Wink*

That's all the cons I have for sure planned as of yet, but I have many more cosplays I'd like to try out, such as Hatsuharu (Fruits Basket), Halloween Town Axel, I'd like to revamp Kiba (Wolf's Rain), and I'm also going for Konan (from the Akatski). Again, there are still a few more *coughTouzokucough* that I won't mention yet, but we'll see in the near future!

If any of my watchers (God, I sound so vain in saying this. DX )want to see me, or any of my group cosplay anything, give us a shout out - we're always open to try new stuff!!

Alright, here we are in the path of Hurricane Ike. I'm not scared, persay, more like...wary. And, of course, very excited. I really love thunderstorms, and I have a feeling I'm about to be in the middle of the storm of my life. Can't wait to find out how this one goes.

My college (and in doing so, my job) was closed yesterday until Monday, until further notice. I know a few of my friends were bummed, but like the slacker I am, I wasn't that worried...gave me more time to practice on my Japanese and stuff.

I've been working on the house all day, battening down the hatches and moving stuff to tie down and hide it away from the winds that are expected to be around 50-70 miles per hour. Other than that, we're expected to get a lot of rain...and maybe a tornado. Who knows?

I, for one, am simply waiting to see what pans out. I'll probably spend these two days without power (if we happen to lose it, a great possibility) sewing costumes and making props for the upcoming Oni-con...how sad is that? Even in the midst of a storm, my mind is on con-time. Hehe. But anyway, I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

So, you guys, all of you that are staying, be very, very careful. Stay inside (unlike me: I'll be sitting on my roof, most likely in a flowy cape or the like, being ridiculous), and make sure to stay safe. For all of you reading this that are not in Ike's path, you be careful, too, from whatever ails you, and wish me luck that I don't fly off the roof!

I apologize for my outburst. Man, do I feel stupid right now. Ahem.

So, yeah, thank all of you for your pity and for your offers of help. But, as it comes down to it, I really only need the pity for my brain malfunctions. 'Cause I'm like...wierd. Yeah.

Anyway, in better news, college has started, and is going pretty well so far. I like most of my teachers, and the college itself rocks, as usual. I do miss Roxas, though, who isn't in our college anymore. *Sad Axel face* But I get to see him all the time...and hopefully we'll begin shooting for some of our planned music videos and further photo shoots soon. Yay for AkuRoku!

Hmm...what else. I'm recovering from an emotional shock like one I've never had in my life, but I'm not looking for pity. I'm trying to understand the way the teenage mind works, and trying to bounce back into my normally sunny attitude while getting over a painful experience. However, I think I'm doing really well, and I have all of my wonderful, amazing friends to thank for that.

So, naturally, I did what everyone does when up at 2 in the morning...I'm making a journal. Actually, it's more of a ramble, because I said to myself the other day that I hadn't made a journal since Ikki-con, and as that was in February, and tomorrow is the 20 of April, I figured it was time for a fresh start. n.n

So, what to talk about? Oh, yes, of course! I am currently waiting for my new Axel wig to be finished. Once it is, the amazingness will being - I am going to be taking (finally) some serious pictures of my cosplay group to be posted here on dA! I can't wait - I'll finally have something to show off when people ask what I cosplay. Yay. Win.

Hmm...next on the agenda...A-kon! Despite the recent...ahem...things...going on, I am so uberly excited for this convention! It's supposedly the biggest one in the state, and I, for one, am totally stoked. I plan to have some serious fun at this thing, and with any luck, I'll finally get to meet my role model, Chris Patton! Hojeez...I can't wait!

Let's see what else. Oh, yes. If you actually care enough to read this journal, then you probably know me personally, so here goes. Marluxia and myself are going to begin making tiny beanbag plushies of anime/video game characters in attempt to gain some fun money for convention. If you are interested, please contact me. The sleepover that followed was just as amazing, if unexpected and physically tiring. I got to cuddle most of the time with Sora; AkuSora? 0.o; Roxas was busy on the bed with Xigbar, Demyx, and Xemnas. Oh, yeah. Wish I had a video camera. Didn't. Sad. But Sora! I <3 her.

Demikkusu and Shigubaru are AWESOME! All of us - Demmy, Shigu, Roxas, Sora, Kairi, Marluxia, Xemnas, and I got really close as the Organization, but that wasn't all! We also had an UBER sexy Reno and a Shuichi/Yuki pairing that were with us. (I got to kiss both Shuichi and Yuki. <33333 ) I love them. And our Reno is just...OMG. And I could never forget our Riku, who is teh sex and keeps getting more and more amazing.

Everyone said that I was a great Axel. It was all thanks to everyone else; Xigbar let me borrow her wig (it was teh sex), Roxas helped me make my chakrams and put together my costume, and Marluxia helped me with my makeup. Wow...how wierd does all of that sound? 0.o All in all, I must have looked pretty good, because people were hugging me and taking pictures of me EVERYWHERE. I even had a fangirl. She was pretty neat. n.n It was amazing, and I got a big ego boost. <333 I love my group. Love. Love for you all!

Onto other amazing people. Roxas looked teh sexy, and we did fanservice ALL OVER THE PLACE. Yay. n.n We also got to do 'Take Me Or Leave Me' in the courtyard, if not on stage. People made a circle around us and everything - when we were done, they all applauded and cheered. Then Xigbar and Demyx did The F.U.N. Song. LOL! It was so cute!

Marluxia was super special awesome! (Yes, I said it, Marly-butt!) Her raver clothes were hawt, and her scythe, per usual, was the UBER PWNAGE. Love her! *Smothers*

We also found a pairing that, though unexpected, works! A crossover...Yuki/Shuichi/Axel/Roxas . Oh, yeah. We went there. Hawt.
