Ok this might get pretty long so read only if you're REALLY bored

Ever since I was young, I started drawing rockman and dragonball comics
It was around standard 2 (age 8)
I would draw comics for fun and for my friends because they love reading them
Then as I read new comics I would draw more new comics of them
or adding characters similar to them
like adding the name "Casper" that you really like from the movie "Casper the friendly Ghost" and maybe funny Crayon Shin Chan to spice up my comics just for the fun of it
Heck my friends loved it

I drew and drew and drew for years about non original stuff like RockMan, DragonBall, Shin Chan and Doraemon!
Then some were quite original too like Cookie man, a comic similar to Rockman.
It was really silly and stupid when I think about it now
There was BubbleGum man, Heart woman and Peanut man. Thats all I remember about that comic.

Everything changed when I came to standard 6 (Age 12)
I stopped drawing comics for a while and started sketching characters
Its not that I have no interest in comics anymore but I start to feel like I want to start something that is mine
The characters I drew is actually for my new comic
It was called "Wariors". (Okay wrong spelling!! I spelled it wrongly since standard 1 until form 3 so fuck it. I can't change it already)

When I started "Wariors", I was really into it myself. I drew and drew and drew for that 1 year eventhough I had UPSR test to take. I drew 16 episodes (16 latihan books) for "Wariors 1" and then I proceeded to "Wariors II" in the same year. I forgotten how many books i drew for Wariors II but I did not finish it.

But I was proud of it. It was my first Original work. I had 2 really close friends who loved reading it and sticked with me.

things changed when I went to Form 1
Everybody's different, the schools different. I lost my inspiration to draw "Wariors" and I proceeded to another comic about a werewolf
somehow things started to go slower, maybe I drew slower or maybe because I got busier
Few months after I started the werewolf comic, I lost it
There was no inspiration

then I started to play this game "Secret of Mana" or "Suiken Densetsu" (hopefully I spelled it right)
It inspired me instantly to draw a comic about it.
so I started a new comic instead
Guess what? Its called "Wariors III"
I know I know I did not even finish Wariors II but what the heck
Wariors III is a sequel from Wariors I and II where but its more about elements thanks to Secret of Mana

So I drew and drew and drew until I was form 5 and it stopped there
things got so busy i cant draw anymore
I'm was in science stream and I had no art class to inspire me anymore
My comic adventure stopped around the mid year of Form5

After form 5 I went to The One Academy college
Thats when I heard the term "No plagiarism"
I went "Holy Shit, I've been plagiarising my whole life"
Since then I avoided plagiarising
But at the same time they alwas ask for us to find reference for our works
Especially when we reached year 3
Everythings about reference
There was a term "You are not experience enough, You can't create something new that people would like. That is why you need reference"
That phrase was very demotivating

I did not agree with it
But its something required for us as a student

I had friends who find references for their work and copied it

I had friends who find tons of references for their work and copied a small part from each and everyone of it and they called it research

So does this mean, As a student we can plagiarise? I am really confused!
I hate plagiarism but its happening all around me!!! Its starting to devour me and I can't find originality around me anymore!
