I'm having some serious issues keeping my writing relevant. Most of the characters I write about are very much like people I know, whether they're my friend, family, enemies - what have you - but the setting isn't very close to home.

Maybe it's a sign I need to change things?

im going to be working on my new novel, persephone but this time theres a twist - im giving myself until the day school is back in session in the new year to finish it! it's part of this new plan: write a novel in 30 days.

pretty much the point is to write SOMETHING with 50k words in that time period, and i thought since my last novel took me 3 years, this one should go a lot faster.

especially since its more interesting and not the same old bullshit that i hate.

i'm also entering in some writing contests and literary journals so i will probably post some stuff here as well!

I just can't believe I'm going back there after all these years in less than 48 hours!!
