1. The thousand dollar surgery only delayed the inevitable. Being eight years old and prone to severe urinary tract infection, there was little that could be done.

2. He's been given some new medicine, but I doubt that will improve his condition. It's over.

3. I have been administering his medicine religiously, but there is nothing I can do. This cements the fact that I will not choose a medical career, unless it's in the morgue, where people are already dead and I don't have to worry about saving anyone. I was so certain that I could save him, that I could prolong his life by another year or so, but unless a miracle occurs it is already too late, for my parents will not spend any more money on him.


I'm going to be leaving DA for a while. I cannot write, I cannot draw; my creativity has been sapped. I do not know for how long I will be gone, perhaps until after Halloween, for that is/was my cat's birthday. But if by some miracle he recovers, I will return before then.

Design concepts for the Lorelei and Scorpion fighter planes mentioned in Chapter 8 of "The Admiral". So you won't be forced to read it, here's a brief description:

Scorpion - the newest type of short-range fighter with a streamlined body. Actually a new-and-improved version of the French Mirage fighters.

Lorelei - a fighter that was designed for stealth rather than power, but if let be can cause incredible damage.


I haven't set a deadline yet, but let me know if you're interested! I REALLY need a design, and I may feature the winning design in the book's text. Winner gets a special art request.

Maximilian Charade (real name: Masselin Charon)

2. What kind of character is it (furry, anime, etc) and any particular race?
He's human, but can be as evil as a demon

3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?
Money, usually.

4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?
Anything nice, especially expensive Parisian-made suits.

5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?
Himself, obviously; he can be a bit conceited, sometimes.


6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?
Not really; he likes to be over-elaborate in his preferences.

7. How is your character similar to you?
We both have goals that may be difficult to achieve.

8. How is he/she different?
His methods on getting what he wants are definitely ruthless.

9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
Uh, Max is a guy.

10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what would you do?
Reform my ways and use what money I had left to help other people.

Definitely. To Max, murder is about as interesting as the ingredient list on the back of a shampoo bottle.

Criminal intelligence, a sterling reputation, and money.

He's got a lot on his mind with his company going bankrupt, something I don't have to worry about. Also, someone like him has to work hard to make friends.

Yes.

15. Do you have any secret drawings only you know about?
No, not yet.

16. Do you have any plans for your character or are you working on something big relating to him/her?
Yes.

17. What misconception(s), if any, do people have about your character?
A few people think he's really good at heart, but other than a soft spot for the mysterious genius Yvonne, he's rotten to the core.

18. If you could have just ONE characteristic from your character, what would it be?
His intelligence. I'm not saying I'm stupid, but it's amazing some of the things he gets away with.


19. Have you made any characters that go along with yours, based on real-life people, that have the same relationship with your character as you with the real-life person?
Oh, yes...

He's not the main character, but if you're interested, read "The Admiral".

21. How has your character changed since his/her first creation?
Yes. I didn't originally intend to make Max an antagonist, but in the end I had this great idea of a group of opportunists that wanted to start a war, so I went
ahead and made Charade the leader of the confederacy. A change for the better, actually. I like him all the more!
