By now you must be wondering: Has this woman gone mad?

Well, maybe I have, sitting up and adding your art work to my favourites well past 2am in the morning. Yep, that is what I did last night until the early hours, going through them carefully and

ing them. Therefore, I do apologize for not commenting on any of them. The thing is, if I had to comment on each and every of the 3000+ deviations that was lying and waiting for me to look at, I will be sitting here until forever.

And, I therefore would also like to take this moment to tell you all that your work is beautiful and deserve every single credit they get. And you deserve to be

I am back in full swing and am still trying to complete the painting I started weeks ago, but I promised myself that this weekend is arty time and I am going to use it to my full advantage!

I only have two working days to go then I will also take a break away from work and just enjoy the leisure that every day has to offer after that, and also the time I can spend on my art. Unfortunately I will not be going away, I need to be on standby for my project. We are currently counting down the days to the big switch from one company to another. Yeah, I still can't believe it. The project is almost finished. It was hard work but hey, we all survived and looking forward to a brighter future. Well, some people still have separation anxiety, but I guess they will just have to get over it. I might sound cold now, but they have a job and should be grateful. I tell all my staff: "Hey, look it at this way: You get to work for another company without applying for a job! Now how great is that!? I still get the odd "you are talking bull!" look, but I've learned to just shove it off. I tried my best to soothe and inspire worried souls now for months, at the moment I feel I can no more. I'm tired and like all want to see this trying time to come to an end. It has been a very tough year, so much so that I had to sacrifice my art. That is much worse in my eyes!

Anyway, I better get my butt out of my pj's, into the shower and start this day as it is not getting any younger. It is already 10:45 am - Yep, I slept late like a baby

I need to get to the store, buy something to eat as my cupboards are empty. Hopefully next year everything will return back to normal, then I can also live like a normal human being, 9 to 5 job ... Oh bloody bloomsdale - I registered for my second year in Project Management at UNISA. Yep, studies are on its way. And I am looking forward to that too.

But for now, I need to shut my trap, move and start this day!

I've lost my inspiration to do art - yeah, all thanks to my short lived relationship with an idiot.

But, I eventually did start painting again, it is getting along slowly.

My Dad got sick again and was admitted to hospital for a bleeding ulcer. He was losing blood and they had to find out why, therefore the diagnosis of a bleeding ulcer.

He is doing great now, full of energy and lust for life.

My work is hectic, we are entering the final countdown of our company's last days on this earth. I want to say beautiful earth, but sometimes, just sometimes I pull my face at that thought.

I actually look so much forward to 2010 where I can really strut my stuff at the new company and show them my worth. I have my own department, which puts me in a much more senior level.

I've registered again at the university for my second year in Project Management. I cannot wait to start studying.

I finally joined the gym. That's all I'm going to say on that for now

Well, that's a quick update. Soon I will be posting my latest painting. Looking at all my previous paintings I get that familiar feeling stirring up my senses making me realize how much I've actually missed my art

Well, what kept me so busy, you might ask?

There is work, but most of all I met a new man, fell hopelessly for him and yes, he broke my heart. I guess my physical looks attracted him more than my soul and I got burnt to the core. But, I am a tough lady and I am standing up again to face the world head on. I just hate being the fool in the end.

I have a lot of catching up to do here on DA, so I better get used to sitting in front of my pc with no disturbances from any man. Yeah, I feel a bit sorry for myself. Life can sometimes be so cruel.

I miss you guys, I miss my art and just everything that used to resemble a normal flow of an everyday life.

I am currently sitting in my hotel room at Sun City, we are here on a 4 day health conference. Just came back from a lovely 2 and a half hour game drive which was absolutely wonderful as I've seen animals such as elephants (close-up), a couple of giraffes (also close-up), warthogs, and a lot of bucks - all kinds. I took a couple of pictures with my cell phone which I will post as soon as I get back home and am able to do it. Silly me did not take her camera with and therefore I had to use myself cell phone. But I did not know that we will be going on a game drive. Anyway, it was a lot of fun but now I want to go home, I am homesick. I miss my cat so much, he must think that I have abandoned him. I miss my family and I miss everything that does not have to do with work.

Tonight we have a black tie event and I am really not in the mood of going. So I've decided to sit this one out. Not sure who is going the fret about it, but that is their worries and not mine.

Well, this was just to complain and let you know that I am still alive if ever you were wondering what happened to the little alley cat. Fortunately, tomorrow after lunch I will be taking the long drive home, I can't wait ...

It started with a slow puncture in my car tyre and ending up in ... Are you sitting down? ... The buying of a new car. I did not intend this at all. A new car was just a dream for quite a while now, but Monday was really a screwed up day as I could not get my tyre (slow puncture) fixed over the weekend and knowing I had a meeting to attend on Tuesday and still have a long distance to travel to be able to attend that meeting, I was very frustrated and actually to the point of shedding some tears when speaking to the Peugeot Assist guy and him telling me they have to toe in my car and drill out the lock nut because I, clever madam, thought the previous Peugeot Assist guy who assisted me in fixing a previous puncture, "stole" my wheel spanner. He drove off with it. Gmpf! What a silly notion that was. They, of course found the spanner neatly tucked away from where I would never have found it in the first place!

Hmmm, so there I was, a bit embarrassed because of my little oversight, walking the floor of the showroom while the dealer fixed my wheel. And the next moment you know, I showed interest in the raunchy Peugeot 207 1.4 XR VTi,and when I finally had time to breathe, I was sort of closing the deal - just to see for now. And today I got the approval. I'm getting my new car next week! It is amazing!

I also had some excellent news with regard to my job at our new company starting 1 January 2010, but it is information which I was sworn to secrecy until all is revealed with the rest of our Management Team by my new boss this coming Friday 14 August. My current boss also told me sweetly that I can go ahead and register for my studies in 2010. Now, how cool is that!? I am looking so forward to that! It seems my hard work was definitely not for nothing.

Apart from the new studies for 2010, I also want to do my GA course, the current enrollment I canceled due to the college being very evasive about my study material and it took them ages to post it to me. They had all types of excuses, so I canceled and got my money back. Which maybe was a godsend because I am currently so busy that I cannot spend much time on studying anything. So, maybe next year, depending on how busy I will be with my other studies, I might and want to also enroll for my GA course, this time I will not make the same mistake again. Here's holding a big fat thumb on that one.

Wow! I am still spinning with all of this. But one thing I know for certain is that this weekend, come hell or high water I am going to spend time on my art. Monday is a holiday (Woman's Day) and therefore I am going to make good use of it.

Work that is. Working late hours, getting up early, going to bed very late feeling like a washed out dust cloth at the end of the day.

I guess I should stop complaining? I've got a work so, yeah, I better shut up. Hmmmm ... now you must think this woman is either seeking some kind of sympathy or she is just a babble mouth that wants her voice heard?

What can I say? Work is hectic and once again, it does not seem to slow down. Yesterday I tried to define a critical path on my project through the software program I'm using and nope, the little bugger does not want to work with me. I must be doing something wrong. Tuesday I have a meeting with the top notches and I need to do a presentation on the progress of our project and of course, the bloody critical path needs to be there for all to see. What am I to do? I'm completely frustrated about this.

Oh well, I guess stressing about it is not going to get me anywhere. What I need to do now is clean my home, which looks as if a tornado hit it. Yeah, I don't even get time to pay attention to the very important stuff in my life. Maybe I should get some help, a cleaning lady, but then again, I am very weary of them. They break my stuff, rob me blind, does not do the work you ask them to do while paying them a lot of money. And when you ask them to do a chore, they blow up like bull frogs and stare at you as if you have done them very wrong.

*Sigh* So, it is back to me and cleaning my home today. But I don't mind, it is some form of exercise and the sooner I start with the cleaning, the sooner I can get back to drawing and painting. It is such a lovely rainy day today and I am inspired to draw something, no reference this time. I haven't done something without using references for a very long time - the last time I remember was when I have sketched and painted a landscape traditionally. Yeah, I can do those too, but you know me, I love drawing people. But I am tired of using celebrities and the likes of them. I want to draw something of my own.

So, let's see what I come up with, but first I need to clean my home and then get down to the real business of art.

You see, gone is the stress about the critical path. I guess come Tuesday, it will sort itself out and the presentation will go well. I'm not going to stress any longer.

But lately, I must admit - I am cold, so cold it makes me detest the winter. Maybe it is because I am tired, I need rest and a lot of it. I woke up early this morning around 4am and decided to paint, I was in the mood for paint. I still am. So, I continued with my painting of which you only have seen an eye for now, but it is almost completed. Thank goodness for that, I was like a bitter old whining bag for not being able to paint. How frustrating it is when you cannot get to your favorite past time! Yeah, for now it is just a past time, but one day ... who knows?

Well, juggling between work, a new found boyfriend - yep, this lady is almost not single anymore. Why I am saying "almost" - it seems that we really like each other and we might be going somewhere together ...

Anyway, he reads my gallery, he sees my art and he sees what I am saying about him. So let's keep it snappy ...

I am quite busy, I thought it would slow down by now, but oooohhhh, where was my head at that stage? Maybe secretly I wished things would calm down at work because I have a new friend/boyfriend in my life and I want to enjoy life, going out with him and not feel tired all the time ... But I've been oh so busy with the new project at work, it is leaving hysterical with stress. Listen, I am exaggerating about the stress, the only thing is - I want some me time!

So much has been said about the passing of Michael Jackson in the news which is also very sad because apart from his faults he still had great talent and he made front page cover all over the world, but it is really sad to see that news of the death of a true Angel like Farrah, after a long suffering illness, had to share a small corner in the middle pages, little attention really ... But I guess that is why she is a true Angel in the sense of the word. She never needed to go to the extreme to get noticed, and she truly made a difference to the celebrity world making it visible in a very subtle way that you can still enjoy fame and fortune without putting yourself out on a parade for all. A true lady in every sense of the word.

I will never forget her and may she rest in peace.

How are you guys doing out here? From what I've seen a couple of times when I logged on to have a peek or two, you guys are really doing well in your art. I am glad to see that you are so creative. I just love it!

Okay, some news from my front:

My life has been quite the roller coaster the past month. As you already know our company is merging with another and I am glad to say the partner has been chosen and we are all satisfied as we are all safe in our jobs and the new company will just do our old foundation the world of good. It is a huge project I am starting to work on right now and in the next week or so, it will be in full swing.

Well, my art is a little no show. I still have not created anything new. My inspiration was a bit lost due to the long hours I worked so far. But this weekend, after all the tension has passed now, I feel inspired and want to create something awesome.

But first, I need to get my Dad something for Fathers day tomorrow. And to all you Dads out here, happy Fathers day for tomorrow and may you be spoiled rotten with a lot of love and happiness.

WELCOME TO MY OH SO BUSY WORLD

Hello all you crazy beautiful people out here. I say crazy because even though the world is in a middle of a recession (yeah, everything needs some kind of tag added to it), or at the beginning or in between and life is just one big challenge, we are all still crazy about each other no matter the situation. And beautiful, because that is what we are. Beautiful creations by the hand of God!

Okay, enough of the sweet talk. I can get ahead of myself sometimes, you know, but when I do, just really know I mean it from to bottom of my heart.

My life is one crazy spell at this moment. Our company is on the verge of a merge and totally in haywire. I work very long hours at this stage and therefore have not created anything since my last submission "Fatal Attraction". It is sad, I miss my art and I miss DA!!

But I am strong and I'm hanging in there. Not sure at times as I am working my butt off, but fortunately the last time I looked, it was still attached to my bod, growing steadily as each day sees its end (too much chocolates,

) which made me realize that "working my butt off" is just another form of trying to underline the seriousness of the situation. Oh boy, could I ever be so lucky.

Okay, enough blah blah. I just needed to say hi

Well, let me go again. It is now 04:22 am, I need to get myself together for another long day at the office.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD

I'm so darn happy here where I sit, I feel like a lost kid in a candy store and I don't mind at all. The grown-ups can go and play with whatever it is they play with and leave me alone with all the candy

Okay, maybe it is not such a biggie to you but to me it is. I upgraded Corel Painter X to 11 today and man, I am so excited. Here is a glimpse -

Okay, by now you must be sick and tired of the goddess, but I just needed to test my new software.

Now, to make time to paint this weekend. Oi yoi yoi, it is going to be difficult!

I still have an ear infection although it seems to be clearing up. I'm going to visit the doctor on Monday again and hopefully by then everything will be okay when he washes my ears clean.

I also need to do my assessment for my GA course this weekend, so I got to move my butt.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD

It seems that everytime I write in my journal on DA it is about bad news of some kind. But I guess it is not really that bad, I only feel this way because I am neglecting my friends on DA and also the site. My excuse? Whatelse ... I've been so terribly busy I cannot move my butt in any direction without feeling cornered by my own guilt.

And to top it all, I'm currently sitting with an ear infection which landed me two days sick leave. I got up this morning to complete a painting that I started long ago "Simply Irresistable", I felt fine but now the pain in my ear is back and I seriously need some medicine and sleep.

Winter is also almost here in full force which I enjoy thoroughly. It means cuddling up and keeping warm. I just love that!

Okay, I better sign off, take my medicine and hit the sack again. This infection is not about to give me a break.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD

Yesterday morning, around 07:00 am there was a knock on my door accompanied by the humming sound of two lovely voices. Still a bit sleepy, I opened the front door and there stood my parents singing Happy Birthday and with a huge square gift that was causing my Dad a bit of agony. It was heavy.

Suddenly I felt like a child again. They were more excited than me, although my own excitement was growing by the second and taking over.

They sat down waiting, me in my pajamas still, until I opened the gift. I never expected it. It was a DVD surround sound system and the works. I was overjoyed. My DVD receiver packed up a couple of months ago and since then I promised myself to buy a new one but it was not on my priority list.

And yesterday, receiving this gift was a huge surprise. But you know what? I love my gift to bits and I could not thank my parents enough, but when I looked into their loving eyes seeing the warmth in there that they never ever tried to hide from me through all the years, I felt like the luckiest kid in the world and I know I am the luckiest, and I thanked God for saving them for me, for letting me have them a little longer. We had such a lovely day, a great lunch with my brother and his family spending the day. I could not ask for a better birthday. It was great being a child again, it is a feeling that no matter your age, is a special gift from God.

Okay, now I'm getting all emotional ...

I better get ready for work.

I am of the sane frame of mind that all the troubles I am experiencing on DA lately is because of FireFox. I just downloaded the recent updates as prompted, disconnected me my connection and connected again, and everything seems fine again. Well, it seems that DA is not going to lighten up on me even for just a little bit. I am struggling to see deviations and sometimes the icons are all scrambled. And it also seems that DA is the only place were there is a problem when I try to browse the site. *Sigh* Is there anybody out here who can assist me in what to do? It is no fun at all browsing DA when you cannot see any pictures and everything else and icons are scrambled. I am really

A Bit Frustrated

I am a bit frustrated this morning ... with DA. It is full of bugs. I am struggling to browse, look at all my messages etc. I have not been able the really pay attention for a week now and when I finally get the time, DA is up to its old (new) tricks ... Or could it be my internet connection?

I'm not sure, I only know that is really starting to bug me in a real bad way.

I use Firefox and at times it seems to lose connection as well as I get this silly window message saying the the connection is lost. First I had similar messages from WE before - WE is useless, so I switched to FF. But now it is acting up as well.

Oh well, I suppose that is how the world turns, everything gets too crowded these days

Okay, it is not my intention to sound miserable, I'm just annoyed because of this problem.

I got some good news though, news that is still too good to be true to me. I have to pinch myself now and again to realize that I am not dreaming. You see, since before my study leave, there was a lady colleague at our work hunting me down, she was gnawing at my heels literally to assist her in her job function. We are on the same management level and I thought it very silly that one manager should report to another. I actually laughed it off, but it seems she was SERIOUS.

When I returned from study leave, she was gnawing again, and like before I told her to make it worth my while and I will consider it. Her nagging got so bad that I laid my conditions on the table, with "non negotiable" all stamped over it. And by golly, Monday afternoon at the close of business she returned with her signed motivation - approval from the top notches and with a much higher increase I ever anticipated. I am actually still dumbfounded by all of this, so badly that I lost my balance Monday afternoon and met mother earth tumbling down on high heels and all. Yep, I twisted my ankle and down I went. Whether it was because I was in shock or for the fact that my heels were so high, I do not know, but it hurt bad!

I am now performing two jobs - Project Manager and then Legal & Compliance Administrator. I actually enjoy the two positions, although I am working my butt off, but they really tie in nicely together. The only thing is, in the evenings I am dead tired, that is why it took so long to do my last painting, but I also wanted to do it with utmost care as it was a special gift.

And this weekend, I need to go and buy something special to wear next Friday evening. We haver our Board year end function and I am expected to be there. Eish! When it doesn't rain, it pours BUT I'm not complainin'!

Being Sentimental

First of All, before I do anything else I want to thank all my dearest friends here on DA for supporting me through my exams by just being there and leaving a supporting comment or two or three ....

No matter how small, your comment made a difference on how I approached my exams and completing it successfully. You guys meant a lot to me during this time, and you all still mean so much to me. Honestly, there are times when I'm thinking: "What am I going to do if DA ever decides to disappear from the face of cyberspace? What am I going to do when all my beautiful friends are not there anymore by a click of the mouse?" Well, I rather not think about that. No way!

Okay, who is messing with my Karma? (not that I believe in such a thing

All Is Well

Wow! I'm back at work and back in the spin of ... whatever

The exam went extremely well Friday, actually too well if you ask me. We got the same question we had to do an assignment of previously, and well, maybe the professor was a bit lazy therefore he gave us the exact same questions and we ace it before. Got a nice little distinction. I did not complain, no way, and completed my last paper with a huge smile!

Well, I'm free now. Free from wracking my brain into little bits, trying to learn something

Anyway, I got such a huge surprise as I logged on DA just a few minutes ago.

I've decided to celebrate completing the exams. After I put my pen down for the final time today, I am going straight to the mall and buy myself a pair of shoes.

I am back and glad to be back, and have a lot of catching up to do! But hey, no problem. When I get going, I get going!

wherefore Art Thou?

Yep, that is what I am asking my inspiration. It is gone. Maybe it will be just for a little while, until I am 100% complete with my exams. Only one paper to go! Just ONE and then I am finished!!

I cannot believe it. The time has actually gone by so fast, it is amazing!!

Monday's exams went well, I think I did fairly well, although the prof we have in this paper is a extremely difficult man and you are not always sure what he expects from you. You might have all the correct detail down but the questions remains: Is it what HE wants? A tough cookie this one, I tell you.

Well, I just bought me a 3 month subscription to DA, therefore this brand spanking new CSS. Thank you

Well, I do not have have much time today to fiddle around with the new CSS, so please forgive if it is still incomplete. I'm just very happy to be back again and maybe my inspiration will grow again and soon I will have a painting up and ready for viewing.

Yesterday a packed out all my ImagineFX and Corel Painter Magazines, looking for some inspiration, but alas, it is a bit difficult. It is like having writers block, only worse.

Yesterday's paper went down like a breeze and I finished 3 minutes before 12:00. I felt satisfied and happy although I was suffering from tummy cramps. Yes, I have some tummy virus. It is much better today, depending if eat something. As soon as I eat, I suffer from cramps. It started Thursday and since then I almost lost 3 KG, which I call sick weight. I do not and will not complain about it, as now I can eat that chocolate

Well, when I'm good and ready

Anyway, it rained here last night and it inspired me so much that I started with another sketch on paper. At this stage it looks good. But I am a bit irritated with my art. It is not such a good thing to say, but I truly am. I am a bit tired of doing celebrities, but I love doing portraits. Now what is my problem!?

Well, I want to do something more with it, celebrity or no celebrity. I want to try something conceptual, therefore I am now teaching myself to work with layers and really, after all this time I have discovered that it is not so hard as I thought, although there are some hiccups still, but I believe it will get sorted as I go along. So, my painting will take a little longer this time. I do not want to rush it, rather do what I want to do and be completely satisfied with the result.

I am also thinking of doing a gallery clean-up. Is it such a good idea? Maybe set up another account? What do you think?

The exams are well on their way. I have already written 3 subjects, it went very well although I think they could have given us more time to per exam to complete it as 3 hours per paper is just not enough in some instances.

Anyway, I am going to paint again today and tomorrow, so hopefully soon I will be able to upload a new painting.

Hello my sweet, dear friends

I'm back again, or I should rather say: I'm back in between.

The study school is over, it was hectic, it was busy, it was tiresome. But I pulled through it and now it is the countdown to the exams and definitely also taking some time to paint, although a painting might take longer than it usually does due to the fact that I will be studying in between, but painting I'm gonna do!

Already I have been approached again by my work to take my studies to the next level next year, ugh! I do not think I am up for it at this stage. I am tired, but I will see what I am going to do.

I've started catching up on your messages and deviants again, but please forgive me if it is going slow, but reply I will, even if it takes quite a while to do it. But please know that I did not forget you if you do not receive a reply immediately or in the very near future. Life is just so darn hectic at the moment and it feels as if I am just making excuses all the time *sigh*, but I know you do understand

Anyway, I want to complete my portrait of Angelina today. I've decided that today is my day and nobody is going to disturb me. I am still in my pajamas and I intend to stay in it for the rest of the day.

Hello all my dear friends

I have not been around much lately and this week it is going to get worse, but I will still try and catch up. Hopefully things will start slowing down by next week. I am missing out on my art and it is frustrating me so much I want to gnaw my wrists at breakfast

Anyway, I started with a new painting today, portrait of Angelina Jolie, if you do not know who I am talking about, well "duh" it is the woman with the huge lips ...

She has a new movie released called "Wanted" and seeing the trailer inspired me to do a portrait of her. Well, not sure when I will complete her but I will try to post something somewhere during the week.

Hello, my dear friends, sorry once again for being so scarce lately. I know, I'm apologizing again, but really, I feel bad. Time is so bloody limited I want to cry

Thank you so much for your well wishes previously, I really appreciate it.

Anyway, I'm busy preparing for study school (yeah yeah, I know, same old story

), but it is the last one, after that it is exams then it is all over, yay!!!

But, I am also going to paint this weekend as for the next week it will not be possible to do much in this region. Classes start at 9 am only to finish at 6 pm, ridiculous don't you think?

I've been catching up, or at least try to, on all the deviations, and boy, they are amazing, but there are a lot but I will get there eventually. I need to go through all my messages as well, so please do not think I am avoiding you on purpose there are just so many, and it is my own fault for falling behind.

Anyway, you all must have a beautiful happy weekend and enjoy that creative juices flowing through you at all times. It certainly is a wonderful special gift to have.

Sorry for being so scarce recently, but my studies have been keeping me extremely busy and my study group has just completed the 3rd last assignment which is due this Thursday. The next two assignments is due after the study school and then it is time to count down to the exams. For those of you who do not know what I am studying for, it is to get my qualification if Project Management. It is going fairly well. We've just received our last two marks on two assignments and I am mighty proud to say we got a distinction in both at 82% and 78%. I am incredibly proud of my team and of course of myself

But I've decided to relax a bit now before study school which starts on 21 until 26 July, yep, we have an extra day added to the schedule

Anyway, today I am off sick. Got a terrible tummy bug, it is a bit better although it still has me running and calling for "George". Awful!

Soon I will be going through all my messages and all the new deviations ... Oh my goodness, there are so much. You guys have been busy! But that is good, keeping you out of mischief ... he he he ...
