But the end of the semester is right around the corner, and my Spring schedule is looking to be much more relaxed. Which is good, 'cause I need the break.

I've got the drawing itch again, but nothing with which to focus it. Is anyone interested in an art trade? Probably only my close friends, but maybe that's a good thing because it would take a while to get the picture not only drawn but scanned, and they'd be the most understanding. So! If you're willing to wait, come at me with a request. I can do sketches, more formal pictures, or some colored pencil work with the supplies I've brought with me to college. I'm more than happy to draw original characters; fanart will be drawn based on my familiarity with the series; I refuse to touch yaoi, yuri, hentai, and/or porn with anything. I have more experience with drawing humans than with drawing animals, but I can teach myself enough basic anatomy to draw most creatures.

On a totally different note, someone found my Linear Algebra book and returned it to me! Turns out she took it by accident. I missed two big homework assignments (not good), but there's not much I can do about that. I'm just glad I have my book back.

School, this week, they've been hard. So I took a break on Friday after classes and designed an envelope in which my friends can leave me messages. I settled on a Kingdom Hearts theme for my door decorations again (though this time it's Roxas specific), so the pictures on the envelope matched. I colored it in greyscale, and while it's not perfect, I really like how it turned out. I want hug it every time I see it because it makes me sad Poor Roxas.

I'm designing similar envelopes for my two neighbors, one with a Lavi theme (upon request), and one with a golden retriever and basset hound as stuffed animals. Hopefully they will also turn out well.

Tomorrow will be a busy day--I think I'll have to bow out of the picnic with my relatives because of my homework load. And while I'm bummed, I think it's the right decision. There's just no way I can get all my work done unless I spend all day doing it, especially after I lost my afternoon to a crippling sinus headache. I'm still going to try hard to get it all done, though.

And I think that's about it. I probably won't have more art up for a while, since that requires drawing time as well as the time to get to San Jose to scan it. But some stuff is bouncing my head, and eventually it's gonna bounce out.

That should change sometime within the week, but I'm not making any promises. I do have a work in progress, but it probably won't get scanned until I'm back up at school since I'm still working on the preliminary coloring and my lovely scanner is leaving for college before I am.

I finally did some serious school searching yesterday, and have narrowed the already small list down to two universities: UC Santa Barbara and Northern Arizona University. I'm leaning towards NAU, the school I'm not guaranteed admission at, because it's near Lowell Observatory and Meteor Crater as well as a merged physics/astronomy major (and the tuition is so low!), but I'll be happy with either school. At this point it's which school will offer me the better financial aid package.

Truth be told, this entry was mostly an excuse to test out whether or not I'm able to show stamps without being a subscriber. I searched through the FAQ, but couldn't find anything about it. ...Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it turns out that I can't. I'm kind of bummed now. I was hoping I could decorate my journal without subscribing, but alas, it has to be boring.

Well, I suppose I should get to uploading the rest of my stuff. Here's to a gallery with pictures.

Most of the pieces I'll create for a while will probably end up in scraps, since I need to get back into the artist groove. Hopefully, though, I'll end up with some stuff I'm proud of.

When I get some examples of my art up, would anyone be interested in having something drawn for free? I'm a far cry from the best artist, but drawing requests would help me to improve. I may also take story requests, but I'm much picker on what I'm willing to write because I'm a better writer than artist. If free art--pencil, colored pencil, or watercolor--or a free short story sound like a good deal, note me with what you want and I'll see what I can do.


Had an interesting story idea in my head while I showered this morning, something about dragons going to school and a human girl getting dragged into the resulting mess. I may or may not do something with it. Does a Morsair Dagger sound like an interesting character?
