THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

Anyway, the other reason for this journal, and I were doing a sort of 'make up funny sounds' game in his 'End Of The World' photo, and I decided to make up what those sounds we came up with might go with. They are my own interpretations, so if you have a different one just say so. The first one was woosh, which everyone knows about.

Wooshazip: The sound caused by falling down a waterfall during canoing.
Wewshadeewewsh: The sound made when sliding down handrails.
Spramp: Gelled hair getting crunched.
Foomp: What one would hear after tugging your jammed thumb out of a bottle.
Pwink: Something plastic hitting something metal.
Fwooz: When something is thrown into the air with a spinning motion.
Shwirng: The sound made when something slips out of a person's hand after being swung.
Katow: A large rock hitting the bottom of a metal basin.
Gatchwang: A rubber band ricocheting off one metal plate and onto another.
Pew pew pew: What a chicken hears when people throw rocks at it.
Pwaaaaank: A cymbal breaking in two.
Iggity aggity ook: The sound squirrels make when they decide to throw things at you.
Pwumph: The sound pudding makes when it lands on the floor.
Daduk: A ball hitting the side of a barn with wet paint of it.
Chapwing: A person with a plate in his head colliding with a tree.
Seewwwff: A rotten peach falling off the tree and hitting the ground.

Dad thinks it's a virus. And all we can do is wait for it to get fixed. I'm really really annoyed because I have to use dad's computer which is slow and laggy.

So I've pretty much been set back in my work. As far as fan work goes I've been set back a few months. But with original stuff I've been set back a year or two.

1. Let's see, my most valuable possession is the stuffed bear I've literally had since the day I was born

2. Driving down my confidence is pretty easy if you know where to prod.

3. If I were ever in a horror movie, I'd want to be the one killing everyone, because no one remembers the heroes in those movies and I can pull off a good creepy child.

Okay, the ear infections have mostly wound down and a few more days will probably get rid of it for good, but lordy this island must really hate me or something, because it's a freaking thunderstorm happening now! It began to rain buckets and a clap of thunder scared the living daylights outta me!

Now don't get me wrong, I love thunderstorms, but it's awfully close for comfort. I can hear the thunder rumbling in what sounds like roughly eight miles away, (and possibly closing) probably on the ocean or something.

And it doesn't help that my parents went on their anniversary dinner, and my sisters are at friends houses, leaving me with my grandma and little brother.

It's awesome to see, but I really hope the power stays on.

~End ironic journal entry, as the power blows just as I type that.~

………Yeah, that's my luck in a nutshell.

But the power has returned three and a half hours later, so I can post this. What a crazy night.

But things are fine now, in DA/work related news, I just recorded a new song, but don't have a good preview picture for it, so it'll be a day or so before I actually post it.

Day before yesterday I was very tired and a little depressed, if the poem I wrote is any indication. But things improved and everything became more or less peachy, except for a pain in my right ear and jaw. But I spent my day as usual and took things in stride before I went to bed.

Yesterday the pain got worse, so I took some tylenol and went to bed a little bit early.

Next day I told my parents about the pain and learned what it most likely was. It turned out that pain was caused by my wisdom teeth coming in, which means I'll be in pain for a while until it either settles or can be removed. The other option was an ear infection, but do they effect the jaw?

I can barely open my jaw, and my ear is in paaaaiiiiiiin!

Does anyone have experience with this kind of thing? Because it hurts like a mother. X'C


EDIT: It turns out it's more likely an ear infection, still a huge pain, but at least it's nothing that has to be plucked

Once it does blow over, I plan to pot the last Shadow introduction and begin brainstorming other tales for them and perhaps a few multi-chapter stories.

~At first things are nice enough, but then Sisarix shows them her newest tinker-toys. Illexim begins to think up ways she could use them to her advantage, but Orvix quickly stomps on those ideas.

2) 9 tries to get 5 to go to a strip club.
~Exirel forgets how horny Xebre can be, and soon looses her backstage, where she forgets her own bad luck because Rix took her to a gay strip joint.

3) You need to stay at a friends house for the night. Do you chose 1 or 6?
~Eh, nightmare incarnate or creepy doll girl? I guess Myxa, because she can be normal enough if the dolls are put away.

4) 2 and 7 are making out. 10 walks in...Their reaction?
~She'd probably stare blankly for a few minutes before slamming the door redder then a tomato, all the while wondering how Xire got Xavia to make out with him. And knowing Xatek she'd also relate the tale to her 'sister'.

5) 3 falls in love with 6, 8 is jealous. What happens?
~(brainstorms) The only way it could happen is if Orvix and Illexim were under the effect of a potion the labs some bored nobody cooked up, and Myxa would probably use one of her dolls to make things right with the world that never was cause her dolls are magic like that.

6) 4 jumps you in a dark allyway. Who comes to your rescue? 10,2 or 7?
~Probably Xavia. She is a therapist and would be able to put Sisi to sleep with her powers.

7) 1 decides to start a cooking show. 15 minetes later what is happening?
~Cooking with Xerrica? Nightmare before Christmas style foods come to mind, before a normal cake is made just for laughs.

8) 5 is in a car crash and is critictly injured. What does 9 do?
~Chances are no matter what Exirel tried to do Xebre would stay there to try and be sexy.

9) 3 has to marry either 8,4 or 9. Who do they chose?
~Orvix would most likely go with Illexim, because Exirel might be nice but Orvix isn't gay, and Sisarix is too enamored with her machines to pay attention. Plus he could keep Illexim in line.

10) 7 kidnaps 2 and demands something from 5 for 2's release. What is it?
~Xire wants Xebre's 'special collection' and is willing to use Xavia to get it!

11) You get to meet either 1 or 6. Who do you chose?
~Xerrica. She was the first nobody I ever created, and I really wanna talk books with her.

12) 10 challenges 4 to a chariot race. Why?
~Because she saw the cool mechanical chariot Sisi made and decided to help her test it out with a healthy competition.

13) Everyone gangs up on 3. Does 3 have a chance in hell?
~Sure, he'd use his fog to slip away, or something. Hurting comrades isn't honorable and dishonor isn't his style.

14) Everyone is invited to 2 and 10 wedding except for 8. How do they react?
~Xavia and Xatek's wedding? I guess Illexim would find it hilarious and be miffed that she couldn't be there to watch her sister's fake lesbian wedding.

15) Why is 6 afraid of 7?
~Because he's loud and weird!

16) 10 gathers everyone around to tell them a fairy tale. How does it go?
~Something like that moment in the Superman movie where he spun the earth backwards and made time go backwards, all the while pointing out holes in the tale. Because Xatek's lame like that for ruining the magic.

17) 1 arrives late for 2 and 10's wedding. What happens? And why are they late?
~They don't notice because they're too focused on the forced awkwardness of the situation. Xerrica was late because of a certain feud with a certain cloaked schemer.

18) 5 and 9 get roaring drunk and end up at your house. What happends?
~Chances are they came looking for some loving, but wound up at my place instead. I think I'll have to hose them down before I let them in and get them to crash on the pull out couch.

19) 3,8,6 and 4 all go to the zoo for 8's brithday party. How does it go? What presents do they get 8?

It's awesome, and a really cool powerhouse musical and everything. The actors are amazing and the choreography is stimulating, those sword fights are incredible. Plus the characters look perfect, as though they walked out of the manga and onto the stage.

Agpthtpghtppth I couldn't believe it when I saw it! But a female troupe were doing a stirring rendition of the popular game and not sucking one bit. I mean in spite of the all woman cast they really look convincing! Its amazing how well they did and how fun it must have been. Heck, I'd be in a PW stage show. It looks pretty incredible.

In other news, I'm working diligently on the FF song.

I was lucky enough to find a track that matched the 8-bit game version. It was the only track I could get, but it works great!

Sorry about it taking so long. As soon as I asked about it my left tonsil swelled up and I was having difficulty getting it to go loud enough.
Plus it was hard to get things quiet. There was a frog outside the window and various birds. Plus the company of relatives which makes my voice box give way due to shyness and nerves.

So I just need to finish up with final voicing and editing and the works. I've never done this before.

In spite of the massive controversies surrounding him he was a very talented entertainer who defined a generation with his music. He will always be missed for the gift of music he gave to us.



Ed McMahon

In the sixties, Johnny Carson stole late night with the late show. At his side was Ed McMahon, who was just as funny and clever as Carson himself. Also known for hosting popular show 'Star Search', he was also a decorated fighter pilot for world war two. He was a fun personality that the world adored and will always be with us.



Farrah Fawcett

Of the many beauties that have graced the screen, one of Nostalgia's favorites will always be the bright and enigmatic Farrah Fawcett. Best known for her role as Jill in Charlie's Angels, her happy face was graced on many magazines, the stage, and the screen. She was sadly taken from us due to cancer, and she will always be remembered.

So I'm a teeny bit worried with this, [link]

I knew about it when it was first announced, but I honestly had trouble believing it. At least the kid they found is actually asian which a lot of people worried about, and they didn't seem to half ass on the bending. Though it's still not much to go on considering how little was shown. (Not that I blame them, it's a very early teaser.)

Plus the director makes me on edge. M. Night Shyamalan. He's had a few good ones, but lately all he's seemed to pull off is one flop after another. If all goes well he could find better footing in a not horror genre, but if it goes bad he'll be a huge target.

I guess we have to wait until 2010 to really see how it'll do. I want it to be a good movie, because I love the series and don't want any damage done to it. But the rate things are headed no one knows how it'll do. Some say good some say bad.

If they screwed this up I'm coming after them.

Well, I don't draw much, I just doodle when I'm bored. I began writing when I was about 15 or so.

With drawing and writing, I have issues with boys. I'm better with girl.

Ehh…it depends, but the way I draw both are pretty easy.

With my doodles, right.

◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Hmm, again it depends. But front seems easier with realer people, and side with doodles.

Everything, there's a reason I just doodle.

Pez head doodles. Seriously, if I ever manage to find a scanner I'll prove it.

When drawing it's traditional, with writing and photography it's digital.

The beginning. I'm kidding, I start with the head

Other then drawing people like pez heads? I tend to give the same hairstyle.

I draw when I'm bored, so I usually don't think of anything. When I write, I try to keep the idea I though of visible.

Uh………you're always better then you think?

◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Doodles are done in a few moments, when I write it takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
If a certain song inspired something, I repeat it as often as I can. Other times I find songs that fit the mood. Like most of the Xerrica stuff was written with Within Temptation playing.

◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Ideas tend to zoom past at the worst times. In the shower, drifting off to sleep, playing a game. But sometimes if I keep my eyes open and remember them it's easier.

◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
Pencil, eraser, a keyboard and word processing or text edit, and an emergency notepad.

◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
Well, I have a fondness for blue.

◆Your favorite style(s)?
I doodle in a kind of chibi style. I write in my own style for whatever fits the mood. Usually past tense, third person, humor. Though I might add drama to enhance character development.

There's always room for improvement, but I'm pretty happy right now.

I was spending the day like I usually do, watching TV and not doing anything worthwhile, and I decided to do my laundry because more then half was dirty. I checked the jean pockets and everything, and spent time doing stuff. It was when I put the laundry in the dryer, I saw it.

My Ipod, Fai had been in the dryer.

Now my Ipod is very important to me. It's what I use to escape reality and cut myself off from the rest of the world. I named him Fai after my favorite character of Tsubasa Chronicle. And he did a good job at lifting my spirits when I was sad.

Needless to say, I was bawling when I realized what I did, because my self-esteem has been rather low as of late, and this was the tipping of the scales to a mini breakdown. I mean, I have no job, I don't really have a social life, my story ideas have been stuck for weeks, and I haven't had much to be really dance in my seat happy about other then my fan works.

Thankfully, a few healthy pouring outs of my heart made me feel a bit better about things. Mainly my grandma and family friend Nikki.

At this point, my parents arrived with Subway and Max (Little Brother) put on Funniest Home Videos and I've begun to feel much better about things. I've decided to keep Fai for the memories. He was my first MP3 and will always be there in my heart. He's going in the box with Shiloh's (dead dog) name tag, and the ticket to my first anime movie.

(I know it sounds pathetic to be so sentimental over an Ipod, but I'm a sentimental girl.)

I'm working on a few different things for my nobody stories, including a brand new one that I just thought up, but actually like. She'll (yes another girl) be coming eventually, maybe during that time I'll think of some boys. But I also have a story centered around Xavia and Xebre so keep an eye out for those.

My birthday a few weeks ago was great. I got a lot of manga, a new Riku plushie, a movie, and a toy car. But not just any toy car, a toy Solstice. It's the car I want forever.

In other news, I saw something on the Colbert Report that is still making me feel a little disconcerted. I can't find a video link but I'm sure it can be found on ColbertReport.com.

It was about a guy in Germany I think (I could be wrong) who went into surgery to have a tumor removed from his lung, but instead of that, they found a two foot long FIR TREE!

Now whenever I think about it my chest feels uncomfortable. Brrr.

When mom asked what I wanted to do for my b-day I said 'What I normally do, but with cake.' So there's that.

I haven't spent much time up and about yet, but I have gotten one present thus far. Grandma gave me up to 60 dollars (minus shipping and handling) to spend for online shopping. I bought the Kingdom hearts 2 volume 2 manga, a riku plushie, a Zelda wristband, the secret of NIMH on DVD, and a set of Larxene kunais.

So I'll just see how this birthday thing pans out. Can't be all bad. XD

There was also a football game simulator, that let you input your favorite and/or least favorite teams and an option set who would win. It was cool!

The rooms were themed rooms. Some for kinds, like fairy tale and cartoon; some for teens with bands and anime; and some adult rooms, use your imagination on that one.

Maybe I should patent this dream and maybe someday make it reality.


In other news…

I have yet to grasp the point and what I've heard about it seems useless and a tad immature. Something to do with texting into your online twitter account? If I'm wrong please correct, me. Although even if I'm right I don't even care. I hate myspace and don't have a facebook. Well, at least I'm here!

But that just seems so…STUPID! Why go onto Twitter for something that is most likely a texting chat room of sorts? It's just pointless in my opinion! Plus it seems that no one wants to type or even learn the english language properly anymore! And instead opts for the shortest means of speaking they can find, even on the internet. I weep for our generation!

It also seems a bit over hyped, though I get the feeling that since all the old farts in congress are into it, it'll lose most of it's snazz pretty fast. One can only hope!


Anyway! Twitter is stupid, and my rant is over.

And while that grinds me to my very core, what really sent me off the edge hat when this certain person was putting out dishes and I calmly asked why they were, when she went off on me, telling me that it's stupid to criticize them, when I was just asking why so soon?

She said I was criticizing her? When all she's done since we moved was grip and grip over every little thing that doesn't go by her standards?

I really need to get into karate or something, or else I'm going to burst from the bottled up frustration.

Last night I had a sort of dream scramble. I didn't want to get up this morning so I fell back to sleep, and I dreamed that I had moved back to Oregon. I was riding my bike along my usual route and enjoying the pines and everything. The sad thing was, it was one of those dreams where I didn't want to wake up because I wanted it to be real.

Then I actually did wake up.

And now I have a sort of melancholy.


In other news, I do have an outline for my photo project, but I lack the tools to do so. Trust me I am sort of working on it.

I figured for the new year I needed to do something interesting, so why not try my hand the CD photo project? Suggested by xZolx, a fellow ORGLIX forum dweller.

I need to select a CD I own and take one photo for each song based on the title.

Seems fun enough, the hard part is choosing a CD. The only ones I have lately are Enya, a couple of musicals and assorted others, including "The bobs" an Acapella group doing various songs like 'sycho killer' 'Fever' and 'Come together'.

Mrrg, this will take a while to choose. Wish me luck!

I just wanted to give a small Christmas tidbit before they day arrives.

Santa's reindeer are always portrayed with their antlers, which means that they are all female. Male reindeer loose their antlers every winter, while females only loose them when they give birth.

First: Due to our new location, instead of a pine tree, we have to have a palm tree as out Christmas tree. Not that It's too bad, but come on!

Second: We drew secret santa names, because this year due to lack of funds we're cutting major costs to each other down. Now this one wasn't so bad, because I picked a really easy name.

Third: At this point things go downhill, because on the day we were supposed to go shopping, the car took the full effect of watered down gas and gave out. TWICE!

Fourth: I caught a head cold. On a TROPICAL ISLAND! I'm still trying to fathom how that is possible.

Not quite bad luck but it just irks me: My sister is being a bit of a pain and showing off her Christmas basket a friend gave her. (I have no friends here, T.T)

But the good news is, I've been on this site for almost a year. I have plenty of friends online, and I'm working on my own writing stuff.

I finally met Vic Mignogna! I got a CD, an autograph and a photo, so it was pretty sweet! And he was so nice. There were sound problems during his concert, and you could tell he was getting frustrated, but he stayed calm for the fans. Oh, and in the line for the photo I met some nice people. Like a Yoruichi cosplayer who was really nice and fun.

I took plenty of photos of the con, and around town, so I should be able to post something new fairly soon. I think the con pics should go first.

Anyway, I also noticed that I had 300 page views. Half of them are probably me seeing if I have page views, but thanks for checking me out.

Anyway, not long ago he tried out to appear on Jeopardy. An about two weeks ago, we learned that he was accepted. I think he's scheduled to appear on the 19th this month.

3. When I was young I enjoyed watching my older brother play Nintendo. Nowadays I'm the house gamer while my little brother watches me.

4. The first game I've ever beaten was Zelda Wind Waker, but beating Twilight Princess was a bigger deal to me.

5. When it comes to anime pairings, I'll honestly look at almost any pairing. Yaoi, Yuri or hetero. I only have a few pairs that I won't budge on.

6. There are only three things that I know for absolute certainly that I fear. Two of them are leeches and needles, the third is a secret.

7. I want to own a pet tarantula, but can't due to a sibling's arachnaphobia. (Fear of spiders)

And we can't forget tacky overdone dresses that the woman wore, although there were a few that weren't totally ugly. Still, over the top if you ask me. (No one did)


But the biggest highlight for me was when it opened to John Stewart playing Wii tennis with the girl who sang in one of the musical performances. It was the best thing ever! Who knew Mr. Stewart played the Wii?

Anyway, for a few year I've been calling the fourteenth 'Singles awareness day' because it makes everyone who don't have a relationship more out in the open and embarrassed even more so then usual.

Therefore I boycott the holiday every year. I point out how much I hate the color pink and how V-day is made to get people procreating. If I get a dork asking me to be his valentine, I say NO! If they come to me with chocolate, I say no, and eat the chocolate.

So anyway, I encourage all those with the same philosophy of V-day to go ahead and be single in the most painfully obvious ways.

And don't be afraid to gorge yourself on candy anyway. Feeling fat is usually the best I've ever felt.
