After posting my earlier journal, I've received many replies that made me think about the issues at hand from more than one angle.

But first, I want to apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding, hurt feelings or just upsetting anyone with my post. I merely put that journal, now deleted, cause I just wanted to ask a simple question; I didn't really expect a direct answer, or any from whom I originally directed it at, but apparently all I ever got were concerned replies and questions.

I thank you all for your concern, and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought the message was simple and clear, but perhaps it was only that way to me, and everyone else understood it differently on different levels that had nothing to do with me at all.

I decided that I'm not going to update my DA journal unless I have something art-fanwork related, otherwise people just wont get what I'm saying unless I'm really blunt about it. Most of the time I only say what I think is important to know, otherwise I just write cryptic text that only those who know me well enough would understand it, if they're lucky to know what I'm talking about at all.

Nevertheless, I apologies for any confusion or hurt feelings, it was never my intention; I just needed to vent and wasn't really aiming to cause such a ruckus; here is to hope this journal doesn't cause one either... Chances are I'll delete this journal in a few days as well, so I ask that unless you have something important to say, please don't comment.

I never really cared about subs cause I never found anything interesting about them, aside that they're a silly waste of money.

But I just noticed the new Free Skins thing; since I'm not subscribed, (not that I want to, honestly,) I figured I'd try it just to see why people are so crazy for subs. The only thing I ever cared about was critique, but DA had to go and implement a system that is, to me, just another useless counter that divides instead of unite. To me, I can just give critique without that system; it's what the comment boxes are for...

But anyway... in the journal preview, thumbs seem to work as well, so I'm guessing it's either a bug or it's actually compatible even if I'm not subscribed~

And since I don't know if these skins will remain after the event is over, I think it's a good idea to try and feature stuff for a change...

- Post more completed colored work; you scrap too often.
- Get a new tablet, and maybe a traditional inking set while you're at it.
- Try more coloring techniques outside p-chat or Tegaki.
- Practice portraits, watercolor or tradition media more.
- Get them modeling projects finished, dangnabit!
- Work on portraying backgrounds better.
- Try realism that's not anthropomorphic.
- Start inking the damn comic project already!

Last but not least, do yourself a favor and get off the internet.

If so, from storyboard, to sketch, to ink and clean, to coloring an animation of 15 minutes length, how long would that take an average person doing it solo, compared a team of five? Just asking.

So I just had a thought... does anyone here have any Original Characters they'd like to have sketched? Not fan-characters; I'm referring to originals that were started from scratch.

I'm thinking more either mere head-shots or full body, and they'll all probably be black and white work than colored as I'm still trying to get the hang of the inking skill first; my strokes are shaky at best and I need to work on it with more practice.

So, if you have an original character, link me a profile picture with a brief bio if possible, and why I should draw them. Note I may not draw all of suggested characters, as it'll depend if I'm inspired to come out with a good idea for them if I get to know them well enough.

Also, I work slow to make my junk, so it'll be a while before you see any results I'm actually happy with,

So, like... for those who caught my journal a few weeks ago before I deleted it, I'm still working on the Shadow-Maria concept (so far it's not meant to be romantic, just a friendship type of plot,) and I have the prologue sketched out, but not yet inked, cause I feel I could have done the panels better...

I have many things to contemplate, and I would like your feedback as I've never done a multi-chapter (multi-verse mishmash) comic before. So far I have the main heroes and the main villain(s) but no fixed number of chapters, considering I'm stuck half way through chapter 3 so far, this story is more so a character development story than just a comic project.

Any advanced constructive critique, help or tips to have it posted efficiently would be greatly appreciated. I've considered creating a separate account to post the comic, but with my utterly terrible ability to manage more than one account, I've decided to post them to my main instead.

Things to consider:

Post basic concept art of the characters, (black and white, or colored,) the thought behind them and what role they supposedly play in the story, (no spoilers included)

Post only their profiles and appearance in which they (possibly) show in the comic, with alternate outfits or expression sheets if available,

Only post profiles after the character appears, so it would make no spoilers to those who hadn't gotten to that point of the story yet,

Also, about the pages:
Post the comic fully in color,
Post the comic partly in B&W with some color pages,
Post the whole comic in black and white only,

Any other suggestions or ideas are welcomed; I am more likely to get motivated and work faster to do stuff if I feel people are interested in what I have to share, and I take forever to make my unusually crappy junk, so... your thoughts?

Since I were really young; maybe about 5 or 7 years old? Cant really remember...

Right. Drawing with my left for fun, but it hurts my wrist after a while, so I don't use it often.

â Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Females, cause making men look like men is something I struggle with...

â Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
I don't have any problems drawing either; I draw bald people at times, so it's a so-so thing to me.

â Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
I have a habit of always making characters face the right, but I try to make them face the left from time to time, just to try something different.

â Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
I think either are fun regardless, but drawing the front is more challenging to me.

â What do you have problems in drawing?
Currently, the mid-section; the hip and thighs, cause I always end up using long strokes that make then slender and girly... the look wrong on male anatomy ||orz

â What do you like to draw?
Anything that emits emotions; expressions, body language, a message in art in a sense.

â Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Mostly digital, but I miss my pencil sometimes :C

â Where do you start drawing from?
The head, usually. Just get the general pose sketched out as circles and lines, pinpoint the joints, then add the details and expression. If I like it enough I might actually sketch it further enough to define the details for inking, but I don't usually get that far, so half my work stops around the sketching part.

â What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
Drawing habit? Um... not sure what this question means exactly, but I have an obsession with showing expressions even if said characters aren't supposed to show any. I tend to end up making them look too cartoony (even if they're already a cartoon) and out of their element, but it might just be me...

â Any tips for coloring/shading?
I struggle with that myself as it is T_T;; no tips from me, cause I'm still experimenting to find the style I'm comfortable with...

â How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
From five minutes to a week, or more, depends on the complexity / simplicity of the work and what I'm trying to convey.

â What music do you listen to while you draw?
I don't listen to music, it distracts me and makes me lose my focus. I like to listen to music when I want to imagine things, but not while drawing.

â How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
I don't go looking for them... they Freakin' STALK me!

â Your favorite drawing utensils?
Pencil and paper!

â Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
Light blue-gray for sketching, black for inking.

â Your favorite style(s)?
I like to think of mine as a mix between anime and cartoon, I guess. I don't define my own style... cause... um... do I even have one? ._.;

â What kind of artist are you aiming for?
I want to improve with doing backgrounds and displaying proper graphic-novel illustrations. Once I get those down to a level I like enough not to want to brain myself with a chair, I'll think about the next step... assuming I'd get there, anyway.

I think I'm getting back into my artistic groove. I'm not sure how long it will last or I'd be posting anything, (or anything TMNT related, anyway, I've been doing nothing but turtle doodle scribbles as of late,) it might take a while before I post anything worthwhile.

1- Shrimp is practically the only type of seafood I like.

You see, there was this old anime I used to watch when I was little. I remember it was often on TV some time between the years 1990 and 1998, more or less. It was drawn mostly like Slayers type, but I don't think it was the same animation studio.

The show was about three kids, two boys and a girl, who fight against a syndicate of sorts who either transform or dress as tengu, (Crow people) and the main villain was a redheaded lady, (she was da bomb! ) but for the life of me, I cant remember any of the characters names, or the name of the anime itself, nor can I find it on google, youtube, wiki, or any anime-listing sites...

Not to alarm anyone, but I think I'm falling out of love with the TMNT fandom... I've not been inspired nor motivated to do turtle art for the longest time, and I see no fiction updates happening any time soon.

I blame 4(shame)Kids' horrible development; I think they're the ones who killed the fandom... doggone greedy-grabbers...

Also, you people probably won't be seeing much of me here, either, cause I'm more into working on my original work than fan art now, and I don't think I'd be posting any of them here, either.

May 16 - So, like... 24 hours ago, my computer crashed... with all my work still on it...

May 19/20 - Update! Computer is back up thanks to my mother finding a spare power supply; the /C drive borked after I tried to do a system scan, some files appeared to be corrupted. I thought a format was required, but it turned out uninstall/delete and reinstalling the borked program helped.

The computer seems to be working okay now; it gave us trouble the past few days, always freezing when we thought we got it to work, so for the time being, I think the worst has passed. I'm gonna copy my work elsewhere just to be on the safe side anyway...

Oh, and I got a new keyboard; my old one was missing lots of letters cause of writing on it for so long, but this one is tiny so my fingers tend to typo even more now since this keyboard is smaller than the old one, and the keys are a bit stiff...

Okay, I'll bite...

Although I have two art trades to finish, I cant bring myself to feel motivated to pick them up and finish them- Heck! I'm stuck in the sketching part cause I cant find anything I'm happy with, so here, I'm gonna take a bite of opening a chance for requests.

Please read over these guidelines or rules before submitting- because I'm boring like that, and I don't wanna end up biting more than I can chew. I've seen a few artists pop likely topics on their journals, so I'd like to see if I can handle this... might actually motivate me to draw more instead of living under my rock for so long...

Also, I wont be drawing everything that is listed, please understand I'm painfully slow when it comes to drawing, (hence why I don't do art trades often,) and I procrastinate when I'm not motivated or inspired, so it'll take forever before I get through with all of these.

- I only do TMNT and Original or fan characters. One character per piece; couple or group pieces make me work a lot slower. (For OC's, please include a link to your character profile and its character so I'll know what I'm doing, please? )

So... like... two weeks ago, I bought two packs of modeling clay with the intention of making small ornaments or keychains; I LOVE making key chains! But... I have no idea what to make... I have some ideas, and have looked up different ornament and key chain examples, I just... not enough to perks my interest to start molding anything seriously...

Any artisan handcrafting person (_{Jewelcrafting skill above 300+ please,}) who would like to share any pointers or tips? Cause I can make shapes and stuff just fine, I just don't know if I require any special paint before waxing it-- or if it would require waxing at all... popping it into the oven is out of the question, since I don't want anything that tedious...

Ideas, or help?

So lately I hadn't been inspired to do any TMNT art, or anything related to fanwork; original work had taken a more steady step, and I'm focusing on that as long as it lasts... hadn't had such an original flow of inspiration in over two years now.

I don't plan on posting any original works here, since mostly I hope to get it published, but I just that I needed to apologize to all of those waiting for their art trades-- I know it's been a long time, but until I manage to get my tmnt-mojo back (and a new tablet if possible,) they're all sitting on the pc half finished, between half sketched, half inked, and half colored- or flat colored and no shading...

_{So if anyone is interested, or want to chat and draw and have fun-- (Space 'Goat Busters' not included,) I'm trying to get back into the tempo; I'll be on p-chat from time to time, hopefully to figure out when others are online so we can talk and doodle together, so feel free to drop in and keep me company, yes?

So, like... I was on WoW just a few minutes ago, and the notification about a server maintainace appeared-- but I was just about to give my new alt a new kitty pet! *mumbles*

I thought about p-chatting or something, but barely anyone hops in when I post a link :< I could spend over four hours in there waiting, and only one or two people hop in, but barely ever draw (or talk,) they just watch... time zones and all that jazz aren't helping either...

Makes me wonder, if dA ever thought of adding a p-chat like place to their collection... if they do, me think it'll be subscribers only at first, though

So I've been thinking. As far as I know, there are two types of Kiriban.

One: Is where the owner of the site/webpage requests that anyone who may able to catch (and screen-cap as proof!) a kiriban, with a series of numbers they set in a specific order, (12,021 0r 55,555 or 60,000 and such,) may win an artwork of their own choosing.

Two: Is when the owner of the site/webpage doesn't set any rules, doesn't request a kiriban, then people grab the screen-shot anyway, add or do a picture for it, and send it to them as a surprise gift.

I've noticed that the first type is a lot more popular, though I personally follow the second, because I feel it's less pressuring on authors/artists who just don't have time to do kiribans, hence why they don't offer them in the first place.

... your thoughts? Which type, if any, do or would you pick, and why?

Not much to say right now, but I figured I needed to update my journal.

For any of you who play MMORPG's, I'm pretty engrossed in the new upcoming expansion, for "World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King" it launches on November the 12th/13th, which is, to me, is tomorrow! Only... I know it'll run out of stock and be too crowded to go fetch it, so I'll probably have to wait for another week or so before I can buy it.

But I gotta say, the Forsaken are taking things to the extreme! I sure hope Thrall doesn't get the burnt of it for what Putress did! and Arthas better not lay a hand on Sylvannus, either! >0<;

Sorry for the lack of updates, my art muse died with lack of motivation to pick up a pencil and draw whatsoever, and most of my artworks are currently on hiatus because of that. Also because the tablet died and the mouse isn't being helpful, I just don't feel like drawing anything at all

In hope to find my drawing (and writing- fanfiction isn't getting any updates either,) I've gone back to playing MMORPG Warcraft; if you're ever on EU servers Silvermoon or Runetotem, drop me a note with your toon name, (I'm on both sides on both servers, so don't worry about not finding me,) maybe we can get together sometime~

Okay, before I start with the trades or anything, I would like to make some things clear:

- I take my time when I draw because it depends on my focus and inspiration, so it could take up from a few hours to a few days or weeks to get my side of the trade complete. In the meantime, if you finish your side of the trade before I do, note me about it but dont post it yet, I rather we post them on the same day to be fair.

- I will, for the moment, take only art-trades; requests might be avilable later on, but dont quote me on it. I will not accept any requests before opening the slot, please understand that. Also, I expect you to do your part of the trade; there was a time in the past where I opened for art trades, but never recived my share from who I traded with and felt used, hence why I hadnt opened art trades in so long.

- To be fair, it'll be first come first serve in getting a slot, but the order of which the trades will be posted depeneds on which I managed to finish first; depends on how inspired I am.

- If you recive a slot, please include what you want to see if you have something in mind, (specify colored or black and white, too, please; or I'll do B&W by default,) if you dont specify anything, I'll just use my imagination.

- Regarding fanfic illistrations: Link me where the story is at and a quick summery so I'll know what I'm getting into. I'm selective in what I read, (I do not read horror, angst, tragedy or anything that includes rape or intense tourture scenes (I cant just stomach those,)) everything else I might give a shot at, though romance makes me headdesk,) so if your story is not among what I'm comfortable reading, chances are I wont read it, thus wont be able to illistrate anything.

- I work with digital art and tablet; I hadnt done any traditional ink and color in ages x_x; Since the scanner works, I can still give it a go, but I dont promise any breathtaking quality, the device is rather old and tends to kill my inking by turning black into purple,

- Only one slot per person, please. Even after some trades are done, I will not accept any new trades till the quantitiy taken had all been completed, and new slots had been freed. Wait your chance, cause I might decide to shut the trades because of real life or whatnot, and then your requests will get stuck on hold till I can get to them again, ya know?

- Even if I already know you, please include at least one reference picture to the character(s) you want me to draw! It'll save me the time shuffling through your gallery looking for them, okay? And I will only do 1 character at a time, if you wish to include more, let me know, cause I dont think I can cram too many in one picture without making them look crooked,

- I will not do yaoi, yuri, smutty scenes or anything above the PG13, please, it's just not my thing, so please respect that.

- Art trades open for TMNT characters for now, I can do other fandoms, (like Sonic and some anime,) but I hadnt drawn those in years and I dont think I can suddenly do them justice after so long abandonment. I do anthro or humanoid OC's but not so much on humans, though I can give them a shot.

And lastly, if you want to do art trades with me, please send a DA-Note; if I refuse the request please understand that I will include why. Any obsessiveness, begging and/or nagging for me to draw you something I'm not comfortable with, and consider yourself blacklisted!

Now, art-trade aside while I get around to it, (you can check the entry here: [ [link] ] ) I spotted this meme on LJ and figured it would work better here on DA~ I wanna feel a little more active here...

- Raphael: Because I like red, I like turtles in general (although I originally liked sea turtles,) redear sliders are cute, too; and because I have a thing for misunderstood, short tempered (for good reasons,) bad-boys who just wanna be noticed and appriciated, and have a motherhen protective streak regarding their younger siblings even if said younger siblings make your hair turn grey. (assuming they have any )

- Michelangelo: Mostly, I love him for his dedication, humor, and child-like affection to his family, as well as his diligent honestly in what he does for his family. Mike just striks me as the type of turtle who feels like a little guy with big dreams; dreams he is just itching to share with the world once they become true! ... after becoming a well known superhero, anyway.

- Scar: A young boy who's race had been through so much strige and agnst, then losing a brother he cherished dearly because of the black arts, which he later on held as a weapon he used for revenge.
He wanted justice dealt to those who had done him wrong, but was unjustified as both a refugee and a human. Angsy, bitter and boiling with rage, he set forth to do one thing, Revenge!
Untill he met Alphonse and Edward, and was reminded how it used to be, to love a brother and risk so much for them; he gave up his arms for Al, and then gave up his body and soul to redeem what he felt were his sins, to put an end to it.

03- Sonic the Hedgehog (1 left) -
- Knuckles the Echidna: Guilty again of loving a short tempered, redheaded, passionate-at-heart tough guy. What I love about Knux is his bashfulness combines with his hardheaded mindset. He's a nice guy, he just doesnt like people publicly poking him about it.

- Shadow the Hedgehog: Well, at first, I loved him cause he was black with red all over, then the fact that he's a deadpanned emo boy kinda got to me. His story is kinda sad and angsty, but also his stuborness and will at some things makes me think he's really a whole different story. I like him better in the SA2 installment, the SonicX show kinda ruined his character, IMHO! D:

04- Jak and Daxter
- Daxter: Buckteeth notwithstanding, I think the Orange Lightening is a really awsome Ottasle! XD; I loved Daxter from the second game, (and the third,) because he prooved to be a really amusing character.
The few minigames we were allowed to use him for were probably designed to show what he can do. Not only is he Jak's best friend, he's also devoted to help if he feels no one elese can do it. He just seems like a scattered little squerlle, but when given the chance, he can knock you off your feet!

- Timon: What can I say? He's a know-it-all-wannabe with a witty and humoruse character. He's not stupid, not all the time, he can show brilliance if he wants, he just rather be a lazy bug and slack off as long as he can, before having to do effort at something wrothwhile. But most importantly, he treasures friendship regardless of what his friends are once he gets to know them for who they are.

- Sanji: I like his style, his groove, and his hilarity when he sees a pretty girl. Sanji is probably one of the very few blonde characters I actually like because of their balanced characters; most blondes I've seen are so styriotyped thay make me headdesk. He is a brave, stubborn and dedicated guy, who can balance his passion with his temper,...

Just for the sake of not collecting dust too long.

I was wondering: If I decided to open art-trade and/or request slots, how many would be interesting, keeping in mind that it could take me a month or more to get one piece done, depending if whoever requested it wants to black and white or colored?

I've not drawn anything in a very long time, and I need to note that I actually dislike art trades, cause I know I may not be able to keep my side of the trade, cause I'm usually too nitpicky at my own artwork and am not usually even satisfied with it. That, and partly being lazy, and unable to be very productive when trying to come out with a nice piece.

But if I do decide to do this, (if only to kick my art muses into gear,) are 5 slots alright? 4 art-trades and 1 request; although it's probably not going to be the "first come, first serve," cause it depends mostly on my inspiration and the nature of the request given.

Note that I only draw single characters, or pairs, might put slight fluff but nothing too kinky, even if it's PG13, and I do NOT do yaoi, (but if it's a joke, I might consider the thought,) and I do not do anything mature. Keep it PG13, please. ((Yes, I'm boring. I know.))

Original and canon characters alike are okay, but note I'm mostly a TMNT fan so I'm not really good in drawing anything else

Personally? LESS Leo - Raph wangst, and more Don Mike scenes, maybe even more character development, cause honestly, I didnt like the way the movie ended, it was too... bland :/ ... And honestly, the brain and the wiseguy get enough shadowing from the leader and hothead as it is, their cartoon counterparts had more clouser than the movie versions! D:

I'm bored out of my brain, so I figured I'd try something out, just for fun...

Remember the entry where I posted pictures from my scraps, and ask people to ink and color them, just for fun? Well, I checked my gallery again but didnt find anything worth while, but then a doodle in a cluster I've posted caught my attantion. Since I've already posted it before, I figured I can make use of it, or let others play around with it...

So here is the deal:

I have this picture: [ [link] ] and I give permission to redraw the turtle to the one you want, any style you want, (you dont have to stick my my doodle, feel free to change the pose, expression, location and such,) and instead of the somewhat human-looking girl I've originally drawn, free free to erase and put an original canon-pairing, or yourself or even your OC, it's a free game, really~

Oh, and backgrounds are totally optional~ and in case of slash, give me a heads up, ok? I don't mind the stuff, just nothing that hits the filters~

Hi all, just thought I'd ask;

You see, I'm working on my website and plan on hosting all of my original work there, which is mostly my "Seven Sands Chronicles" arc, as well as a series of side stories attached to the original tale. After I get the site up I plan on moving most of my original work from DA to there, though I don't have much original stuff on DA anyway, but I have one problem...

I tend to get overprotective and clingy with my original work, ( ) especially since the arc took me 5 years to complete, (from planning out the time line, characters, locations and whathaveyou,) and as much as I want to put it up to share it with everyone, I keep getting paranoid and fear some lurker would pop in, steal something and then claim it as their own.

I know some stuff can be spotted and justice would be served, but I'm very possessive to the point --(where I sometimes wonder if I have trust issues -_-; )-- I've contactly thought against posting the stuff in the first place. I can put copyright notices on the site, but I know that wont stop some people from stealing...

It's a long article and required coloring and stuff, so I opted to post it on my Blogger and link it here instead.

Generally, it's a listing of the turtle episodes, part One is from Season One to Four, Part Two is from Five to Six.

Therefore, there are:
81 General non-centric Episodes;
62 Character Centric Episode.

= 143 Episodes.
