I can't express how sad I feel.
This is really really tragic.

My involvement in this site has developed into being a big part of my life. Being here and interacting with everybody has given me joy, enlightenment, inspiration, love, ecouragement, and so much more. I eagerly looked forward to commenting on each of the deviations in my message center. Now, nearly everything I enjoyed has vanished, and the people I most loved are leaving, or discontinuing their posts.
Many many hours were spent cheerfully browsing the site, making new friends, reading forums, and being active. Now the forums are crowded with mob-like protestors and hateful comments.
What I had looked forward to every day for the past year now seems to be gone.

Before everything happend, I personally had not seen what some people were seeing as a decline in the community feel of the site... To me, it seemed very friendly and united, with no hint of an invading corporation. But, I must remember that I havn't been here since "the beginning".

It isn't $spyed or any sort of corporate take-over that is destroying this community, it's the community itself that is tearing everything apart.
I can understand the need to support °jark. What was done to him is unjust and unacceptable. It seems that people have reacted with overwhelming support for °jark, ironically by destroying the very thing that he stood for: the community.

So it seems that what should be done is try to heal the community, but I'm afraid my actions would be seem like attempts to counteractively oppose supporting jark. Of course I'm not opposed to supporting jark.
I just seriously don't know what to do.... I have no other choice but to wait until jark and °matteo build a new community and a new art site.


However, I will participate in Yellow Day, since I don't feel like that sort of action would be "mob-like" in any way.

I'm excited to say I finally have something to post! It'll all be up within the next few days for your viewing pleasure.

Now, I have yet to dedicate art to the wonderful groups I'm in:

But I'll get around to that. I really want to, it's just difficult...

June is coming up pretty fast. This June is going to be the fucking best. June means: 1.) I'll be out of school for summer break, (spending more time on the computer), and 2.) My boyfriend is coming down to Florida () and we're spending as much time as we can together (less time on the computer). So as far as how often I'll be online, do those things cancel each other out? I predict that I'll spend about the same amount of time that I've always been spending... but be prepared for changes .

You know how I said in my last journal that I'm going to try some new stuff? Yeah, I'm excited about that, I think I'll try poetry and ink sketches/abstracts. I'm saving up for a scanner.. In the meantime, I've got some photo/photomanips that I'm going to submit . I'm also planning on spending some time this summer on a deviation to dedicate to the only community that I'm in: . I've never made anything extremely fantasy-related, but I need to start contributing to the group and being more active. It's a really neat group of people . OH! Actually maybe I should submit that drawing I did back in freshman year. I'll ask Ryan if I can borrow his scanner for that.

Anyway, I'm still trying to get to all the deviations in my message centre (i'm up to 500 now)... I appologize... School will be out in a few weeks and I plan on spending hours upon hours here, adding to my favorites list and pouring out comment after comment.

In other news, I havn't had a very consistant internet access for weeks, so I've been spending time mostly on Adobe Photoshop... which means I have a kajillion new projects, experiments, and deviations on my hard drive just waiting to be submitted. I've just now uploaded several -- and there are several more which must wait until later, because it's midnight thirty....

And I have IB tests this week so I must get to sleep. I really hope you enjoy my latest submissions, and I'm excited about my next ones which I shall upload soon.

Update May 12
I've just decided I'm going to attempt something new.
I'll write a poem, try using a sketchbook and some pencil work, eventually ink, and perhaps paint. I think that will help with the overall development of my art, and I have some ideas anyway so I'm gonna go for it.

Other good stuff has happend, too... I heard that ~LancerD likes my photomanipulation work, which totally suprized me. And Kory admires my passion for photography. How totally cool is that!

Also, I've made a few new friends on deviantart, which I'm excited to learn more about & see more work from.

I am totally fascinated by downloadable textures like these: [link] and downloadable brushes like these: [link] I've been wondering how to use them after I've clicked the "download" button... do I open them in Photoshop? Do I need the right program? (How do I know what program it is if the user dosnt list it in the description? ) And how the heck do people make those things? Can I make some too?

Being a photoshop addict, I love such things, and I'm interested in continuing to create more photomanips. I've already got experience in using the brushes that origionally come with the photoshop program. However, I only have Adobe Photoshop Elements version 2.0 ... which, to my knowledge, sucks. or something.

Yeah thats about it. Anybody have suggestions?

The lunar eclipse is happening right now. The sky is so clear. I wish I were out on a lawn chair gazing up at it, but i can't see anything! My glasses are being fixed and I dont get them back until next week. It's so depressing, all I see is a white/grey-ish blur. I wanted to take a photograph of the moon, but, for it to be used in my photography class I have to find a tree somewhere so I could "frame" the photo. It's too dark for framing. So. I will just not look at the eclipse. I hope everyone else enjoys it though~!

After I develop my film in photography class for the first time, I'll find some way to scan my pictures and post them. *IF* i get any good ones. My dad is letting me use his camera for photography class. It's ancient, dusty, and worn, but I love it. I named it Nonac

After learning all this shtuff in class, I've started wondering about the pictures I've taken prior to all this knowledge. I'd like to think they're art, but are they? I mean, I had a basic understanding of composition and lightning, but my digital camera was only 1.2 mega pixels. (Faaar from the requirement to be considered proffesional). I don't think they're mere snapshots if my intentions were artistic... but I could be wrong in that assumption.

Anywho, I have a few more pictures to submit; weather they're art or not, I think *someone* will enjoy them.

I wish I knew why they arn't being displayed. Perhaps I did something wrong. The FAQ suggests that maybe I should resubmit them, and then see if they show up...

If not, I uploaded them onto my yahoo breifcase, here and here.
