Anyways, I've started the trip to California. There'll be little chance for using internet on the way up, so I'll likely be quite for the next few days. I'm going to try to take pictures on the journey because this'll be the first time I've ever driven this far west before!

Today I had a work shift exceeding nine hours! And yet I still managed to draw a comic in my spare time. Truly, my devotion is immeasurable.

Computer difficulties have been more-or-less  taken care of. All this time I've been working on a laptop so sorely out of date that even the cheapest computers were leagues above what I was used to in terms of power. The new computer is an iMac called eleanorRoosevelt. I didn't have a Mac copy of Adobe Design Suite, but I'm able to use my Windows version by running XP in Virtualbox. A friend of mine is taking my old laptop's hard drive and making an image from it, which I'll also have running in a virtual machine. Therefore, pretty soon I'll be right back where I was with all my files and programs!

I'm not planning on dropping the long-form comic or anything, but I gotta say that banging out a gag strip every day is a very satisfying past-time. In just a few hours I can craft something that (hopefully) produces something entertaining. And if I fail on one day, it's no big deal, I have another chance tomorrow! ]]>
