Yeah... I apparently can't be bothered to update this bloody journal enough.

Anyway, we found a new kitten in the backyard near the end of August. My sister had seen it wandering around out back for a while, and practically begged and pleaded to bring it in.

Dad finally acquiesced, and little Dust Bunny is now good friends with Velcro and Ana. I call her Soot Sprite occasionally, though. She's really cuddly; sometimes, she'll lie on your lap and rest there for a while.

Incidentally, Ana was fixed recently. I paid for it. I'm trying to avoid touching her belly, 'cause I'm sure it's still sensitive.

Yesterday, Mom took our oldest cat, Knic-Knac, to the PSPCA, where she would be put to sleep. Knic-Knac's quality of life had been very poor for some years now. But, that's to be expected; she was pushing 17 when she was taken away yesterday.

It's entirely likely that she has been euthanised already. My family has had her as a pet since... well, since as long as I can remember.

For some reason, I do not feel anything at Knic-Knac's death. Am I just desensitised to death from my diet of violent video games as a small child, or have I just grown apart from Knic-Knac when she stopped being playful? ...Maybe it's both?

Anyway...looks like it's just two cats now: Velcro Nosferatu Halitosis [NAME AND ADDRESS WITHHELD], and Pollyanna "Ana" Precious Street-Rat [NAME AND ADDRESS WITHHELD]. The two younger, more sprightly, and frankly more affectionate cats.

May they forever be a reminder of what Knic-Knac once was, and what she always hissed at.

Knic-Knac
August 9, 1992 - August 5, 2009
A long-lived and cranky skank of a cat.
Good riddance, you free-loading skank.

(John Cleese said stuff like that at Graham Chapman's funeral. Tried to make a lark about such a "grave" occasion.)

...I have had a new pet kitten. Me and Mom were walking home from Walgreen's, and a kitten walked out from behind a vacant house. She has to have been about 2-3 months old. She was rubbing up against my legs, and so Mom said that I could take her home. She squirmed the whole way home, but she's better now.

Her name is Pollyanna, but I just call her Ana most of the time. Her middle names are &#039recious' (my sister wanted to name her Gollum, and I settled on '[my] precious&#039 and 'Street-Rat' (Dad wanted to name her this, or 'Fleaspeck', because she was INFESTED when we found her). She is part-Siamese; she has the ears and the legs for it. She's almost completely white, but for a black spot by her left back leg, a small black dot by her right ear, and a black tail with a white tip. She also has a little bit of orange on the back of her back legs.

Incidentally, someone in our neighborhood owned Ana's papa! She saw Ana in my arms on the way home, and nearly thought she was her cat, but she was "too small". Evidently, her cat pushed a screen window open because he wanted to get to a girl cat outside, and she hasn't seen him since. Ana must be that cat's kitten!

Wish I could take a picture of her so you guys could see the little girl.

AF

A teddy bear hamster, from what I have heard.

I don't know what we're naming him (or her?), but I am gonna refer to it as Noodle. Dad suggested it, and I guess it stuck in my mind.

Velcro seems very interested in this new family member. He's sniffing around the cage and pawing at the wheel. Knic-Knac, however, seems very sulky... then again, that's not too different from how she normally acts, so...

Anyway... Happy Valentine's, all!

AF

So I've known for the past few weeks that my sister wanted a kitten that her friend's cat had given birth to. Rachel had been away at her friend Keri's house, and we weren't expecting her back for a few days.

Rachel came home about an hour ago (as of this writing), with little Pandora in her arms.

Pandora was mewling when Rachel carried her in. We gave her a little, shall we call it, "baptism". IOW, a flea bath.

As it turns out, it was (possibly) her first bath.

Knic-Knac (our old cat) was hissing up a storm when she saw Pandora. Knic-Knac can't hear anymore, so she didn't know we had a new cat till Mom held Pandora down into Knic-Knac's face. But we don't have to worry; Knic-Knac is 16 years old, and very lethargic. Sometimes, she doesn't even bother to cover up her droppings in the litter box.

So, long story short: we have a new member of the family now.

Pandora

Born
July 11 2008

EDIT: Actually, "she" is a he. And Mom has decided to name him Peanut. Heh. Reminds me of the names Dad had for his cats Peabrain, Buckaroo, and Tumbleweed, years ago. I think I like the name &#039eanut' already.

Well, I've decided about two months ago that I wanted to be the Masked Man/the Masked Boy, from the video game, Mother 3, for Halloween/cosplaying.

I have compiled a list of the items I need, and of those, I have five of them, and a sixth on the way. The items I have are:

- the wings (The Dark Knight: the Wayne Tech Bat Wings. It cost $40.)
- the sword (a custom orange lightsaber off of Ebay. It cost $50.)
- the pants (orange; bought them at Forman Mills for $23.)
- the Arm Cannon (a pipe for a dryer; I'm considering an alternative, involving a pipe, not a flexible tube; bought at Home Depot for $18.) (10-4-08 EDIT: We just bought some duct tape, to make the tube look less like a duct and more like an Arm Cannon.)
- the belt (gold buckle; bought at Target for $20.)
- the gloves (I bought them at Dollar Tree for (surprise!) a dollar. Four gloves, two white, two black. A quarter per glove. I'll wear a white one on my left hand, and a black one on my right hand, to hide my hand in the Arm Cannon)
- the coat (for free! My sister had a coat that is enough like Masked Man's for me to use it. Of course, I'll need to find some white hairspray to turn the fur on the collar/hood to an off-white color)
- YEAH BABY!! THE HELMET CAME IN THE MAIL JUST MOMENTS AGO (as of October 20, 2008)!! DING DING~!

The last ones are the boots!!! The boots I can probably find a Forman Mills or some shoe store, I'unno.

PS: This is my first journal entry in almost 4 months. Wow!

Yep, just a week after Chunky died, we bought four new hamsters! These ones are dwarf hamsters, unlike Chunky, and for once, I can't really take my mind off of 'em.

We bought three at first: a beige one that we named Li'l Chunky because she looks a lot like Chunky did, a white one we named Gimli (after the dwarf in the Lord of the Rings trilogy), and a dark gray one we named Chewie b/c she loves chewing on an apple stick we stuck in their cage.

Their cage is a one we bought, rather than Chunky's old cage; time for something fresh. And this hamster house goes on top of the piano in the computer room, instead of on top of a bunch of shelves in the dining room, which got a bit cold.

Then a few hours later, we went out and got the fourth dwarf hamster that was still at PetCo. It was light gray, and we named that one Totoro (after the Miyazaki film). All four are girls, and we still have to get used to referring to them as 'she' and 'her', rather than 'he' and 'him'.

All in all, they've been sleeping a lot, though Chewie was running around in his...HER...wheel a lot this morning after I got back from Physics class. lol.

AF

He led a long, happy life since we found him on the ground beginning of September of 2005; he was only ten days old (his eyes weren't even open yet). He'd developed this growth on his side about a month and a half ago, and he stopped eating about five days ago. This morning, Mom told me that he had died some time in the night.

Rest in Peace, Chunky.
I know, I know, it's the 28th, but I gotta get it out there.

Well, this was a fine Christmas, considering that my dad's been out of work for a while. I got Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (the Power Cosmic Edition), War of the Worlds, National Treasure, Spider-Man 3: The Game (for the PS2), Jackass: The Game (Hey, I never said my tastes were refined), the novelization of Zemeckis' recently released Beowulf, a figurine of Grendel's Mother from Beowulf (no, not a 'naked Angelina Jolie', like my sister said, but a sea horse/lizard hybrid), and a ton of candy. Oh, and my cousin Ryan got me a DVD copy of DOOM, as I'd asked. Unrated of course. 'Too intense for theaters', as the box exclaims.

My sister practices Wicca, and her two chosen idols are Amun and Isis. As such, back in August I bought her statues of the two and put them away for Christmas. She was, of course, very happy about them.

Of the gifts received, the one that's receiving the most mileage is Jackass: The Game. There's just something so eternally entertaining about flinging people with a slingshot into trucks and concrete blocks and other people's backyards, not to mention rolling through San Francisco in a trash can, tumbling down the side of a mountain, driving bumper cars on top of a building trying to knock other bumper cars off, or playing rock paper scissors and kicking the loser in the groin, or playing 'chicken' with shopping carts on rooftops by seeing who stops first without going over the edge (though going over the edge IS funny, regardless), or shooting Johnny Knoxville on a target with a paintball gun, or...

Don't wanna waste too much space gushing on Jackasses hurting themselves (even if they ARE digital puppets). So, once again...

Merry Christmas (or, if not Christmas, than 'Happy Whatever-It-Is-This-Reader-Practices)!

Seeing as it's been nearly four months since I put up my initial request for artists to do fanart (or a fancomic) of HEA, and no one has stepped forward to aid me in this, I've decided to simplify the matter a little.

Is there anyone who would be willing to do a fanart of an original character in my HEA, the Nightmare Trixie? For anyone who needs a description, here it is:

"It was Trixie, but it wasn't. She never wore her "popular" outfit anymore. Its eyes - which almost seemed to be bulging out of their sockets - had a hellish red gleam in them, contrasting sharply against the beauty of the cyan irises. Its ears were elongated and pointed, much unlike Trixie's. A pair of horrid bat wings with leathery black skin unfolded from its back, and razor-sharp teeth were exposed in a demonic grin that was unnaturally wide for Trixie's face and terribly out of place on something so beautiful. [...] its face [was] contorted in such malicious glee that it was painful to look at. Its jaw hyper-extended open [like Spider-Man's Venom] - Timmy shuddered inwardly - and an elongated forked tongue lashed out of its mouth[.]"

For anyone willing to take on this endeavor, send a note to me and I'll give you more specific directions.

For the record, it can be found here: [link]
Also, is there anyone who would be willing to do a comic adaptation of HEA?
Your thoughts (and/or artwork) would be appreciated.

(Whew! First time I updated my journal since July!)

Just wanted to wish everyone on DeviantART Happy Holidays, whatever religion you celebrate, and a Happy New Year!

Santa treated me well this year, in spite of Dad's constant reminders that this was gonna be a light Christmas. On the whole, it was a surprisingly good Christmas; I got three video games (Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, Star Wars Battlefront II, and The Matrix: Path of Neo), a Lord of the Rings trilogy 2007 calendar, a book on Star Wars' New Essential Chronology, a toy of the Flying Dutchman, Davy Jones' pirate ship in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, a book of Alan Lee's Lord of the Rings illustrations, the Jimmy Timmy 3 on DVD (finally!), and (this was a surprise) a ceramic model of the city of Minas Tirith from Lord of the Rings, a companion piece to the model I already own of Barad-dur (it came a few weeks earlier than anticipated).

But I also GAVE this Christmas. Since last Christmas, I decided to get my mom, dad, and sister something for Christmas. Unfortunately, I could only afford Christmas cards, but hey, it's the thought that counts, huh? (At least they lit up and played 'Jingle Bells'.)

Also, my mom got Pirates 2 on DVD from my uncle (the husband of my dad's sister, to be precise), and we watched it as soon as we got back home. First time I saw that movie all the way through since July!

With the Christmas season came an upswing in my mood. I feel more confident in myself now. Who knows? Those who are reading HEA on FF.Net might catch an update within the next few days.

So once more, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to everyone at DeviantART!
May the Force be with you... always.

I'd like to list my interests for you:
Writing, drawing, reading, Star Wars, The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, Invader Zim, Kingdom Hearts, Harry Potter, Viva La Bam, The Incredibles, the Pirates of the Caribbean films, and using the computer.

Romantic pairings I like:

The Fairly OddParents:
Timmy/Trixie, Cosmo/Wanda in 'The Fairly OddParents' (I don't know why, I just can't see Timmy in an extended romantic relationship with Tootie, and I obviously don't want to see Cosmo & Wanda divorced; I'm open to Timmy/Tootie, Timmy/Vicky, and Timmy/Veronica, though).

Danny Phantom:
Danny/Sam, Tucker/Valerie (they just 'feel' right, like the Timmy/Trixie pairing).

Invader Zim:
Zim/Gaz, Dib/Tak (they feel right).

Kingdom Hearts:
Sora/Kairi (it's a given).

Harry Potter:
Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione (though Harry/Cho is okay).
