So a new year has finally come. I'm still not sure if I liked 2009, but I guess I'll have to appreciate it with all its highs and lows. For what has passed of the year, I've been letting go of a bit (ok a lot) of baggage, both literally and figuratively, I want this year to be the best year of my life thus far. I have a lot of energy to work and create, I feel very inspired, and this year I'll do and hopefully finish my Thesis. This is a defining year. I'm afraid as well as eager and excited. I feel there is so much to come.

I'm preparing a gothic story for kids. Yeah that's right. I said it. And it's going to rockkkkkkk, I'm so excited!! It's due tomorrow and I won't sleep making it, but it's going to be SO worth it. I'm excited! :)

Ok, so, vacations are over, for almost three weeks ago now. These vacations were the less productive ones I've had in years. This is the first time I've had a CSS journal :dance: I based it on the design of nightshade graphics, because right this second I didn't have time to design something, heh!. A quick update.

It's ridiculously cold.
I'm on finals.
I don't have the concept for half of the finals and I think I'm going insane.
It's 2:14 am and I'm STILL, after weeks, trying to figure out what to do for my drawing class.
I just don't have the time.
If it wasn't obvious enough, I want vacations now!
The funny part is that everyday I think a new idea for a photomanip, but nothing that works for my uni xD. And I freakin hate that. I'm sure I'll enter vacations and all the inspiration will go away. Wait and see ¬¬.

Last week was insane, it was the Within Temptation concert, I met them twice, the're sweethearts, I got photos and my two DVDs signed, haha. I'm such a fangirl. This is because my computer is seriously giving me problems, my RAM memory (512 MB) apparently isn't enough for the new pieces I've been trying to create, and so I'll have to increase it. Hello there

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm very, uhm, let's say paranoid when I use stocks. Many stock providers say "do not use outside dA". That means do not use it for websites, advertisements, redistribute the images...? If I make an image with those resources, it's obvious that one must credit the provider, because otherwise, there wouldn't be a final image in the first place. But that doesn't necessarily mean that the artist that used them have to ask for permission to for example, present the image as a piece of art on a portfolio, an exposition, or whatever. Well hello there!

I'm such a terrorist (concerning my last journal :p ). I made changes but not "theh" changes.

Ok so, I sort of cleaned my DeviantArt account. I had some photos and drawings and useless scraps that I just was tired of, and wanted to delete them. Almost 30% of my gallery is gone. And it feels so relieving. Like, I finally feel organized!

At last I'm paying a little more attention to my prints account and now I have 21 NEW prints. I have photomanipulation, watercolors and graphyte (sp?) art, so there's a little bit for everyone :) .

I'm on vacations now, and I actually don't have a lot of "will" of making some images I want to do... Not all photomanipulations. I miss working on watercolors, color and graphyte (sp?) pencils. I'll guess the time I have left on vacations I'll spend it making a popurrí of techniques, lol. See what I can come up to.

Yes! I'm going to expose, along with other students, in the VI edition of "Salón Javeriano de Artes Visuales" Exposition!! I'm so happy! and it's going to be in the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Contemporary Arts Museum) here in Bogotá :faint: .

It starts on September 4th and ends September 22nd. So anyone who lives in Bogotá, please check this out. It's going to be a very interesting deliver, simply because people of all semesters are going to expose some works(as always and I'm on second semester ;) ).

If I'm not mistaken, the exposition is also going to be shown in Cali. But I'm probably wrong... I was trying to begin my work for the Online Portfolio, and I made some sketches for it... happy enough with them, I went in my search for stock models that fulfilled my expectations (pose, dresses and all that). And what do I find? terrible stock quality, grainy to death, out-focused and what disturbed me the most: They were mostly not photos made "for" being used by a photomanipulator, but common narcissist photos at its best. It was so funny to look at them. I could never bare that hummiliation! lol :laughing:. And the most ironic thing were the rules: "Ask for my permission before using them". What's the point then? :no: .

Yesterday I went to see the play "El método Grönholm" in the Castellana Theatre, and it's so freakin hilarious!. Incredible actors!. Are events like this that makes me happy; to see Art being supported and to see how much talent do we still have!. The theatre was FULL, not one chair empty!.

It's about a new method for choosing the right person for a vacant job in an international company. But you'll soon see that the method is quite different and interesting :p . For anyone in colombia: go see it! It's absolutely amazing, and the acting is exceptional!.

I just bought a print account here on DeviantArt (and the suscription that came with it :D ). Please support the artist on this! there are prints available from $1.95, so it's very cheap! :lol: .  I'll keep uploading my images so I have the ones I can available :aww: I don't think I'll sell a lot right now, but I saw a chance and I had to grab it!
