We've been looking at places and she's found where she is most likely wanting both of us to go too, unless her health is at the point that she NEEDS an actual retirement, assisted living home.

Anyhow turns out she doesn't so much not want to have someone else here, she just doesn't want any GUYS here anymore. She wants a female roommate. And thus, wants me to advertise it. Mainly because I know some people from school, etc. Someone to occasionally help out with chores (mainly vaccuming, maybe some gardening... I keep telling her to ask me but since I'm busy with CJ often, she doesn't want too as much. Though I am driving her around more) And someone to help out with CJ should I be off working or something, since I'm going into freelance photography right now. The rent will be $400 a month with helping around the house, and stuff, and that includes everything (electricity, laundry, use of a kitchen... probably mine a bedroom and bathroom, basic cable, and comcast internet... I have a wireless router) And move in will be well once the guys are out. Let me know if you're interested. The bedroom is upstairs.

Should you prefer to stay downstairs with I, I CAN keep CJ in my room. (Though the downstairs bedroom is smaller) But I'd like to know ahread of time. Though Grandma would still want help around the place. Or maybe two roomies looking to get out? Still $400 each, which if you go to AIS or some place, cheaper than the dorms.

You just have to be female, I know you (or if you've a female friend, I need to know one of you, and meet the other) be elderly and child friendly. Oh and I've cats here so... you'd need to be prepared for that. If you have a cat, that's alright, no dogs though, please. My Grandmother absolutely hates dogs. And err yeah. Let me know if you're interested.

Anyhow... the weather is nice today, yeah?

Real trees are nice, and most come from tree farms that do replant. However they ARE pricey, so to save money I have an artificial one.

Whenever I get around to it. And that can be anywhere in November, to the night before Christmas Eve. This year I sadly don't have room for one... so I'm hanging lights across my ceiling instead.

When do you take the tree down

I'm notoriously lazy in taking down my Christmas decorations and tree. Helps that mine is artificial. I usually get around to it oh... May-June... somewhere around there. If I could get away with it, I'd probably leave it up year 'round.

Do you like egg nog?

I feel there is something seriously wrong with you, if you don't.

Favorite gift received as a child?

Uh, usually it was anything that was practical. At least once I hit the age of I believe 7 or 8 and was already starting to be put in charge of my siblings. Other than that it was my raccoon plushie from my Grandma Rose. I had it for years until my mother ruined it on purpose.

A broken clock from value village. I don't mind something from there. You can find awesome things from that store. However it'd have been nice if it ... you know, worked.

Mail or email Christmas card?

I prefer to give, and receive cards via snail mail. I however don't always have the money or time to do so, and in that case it's by e-mail. Though I'm doing a combination of them this year. Very few will get an actual snail mail card from me. And the rest will get something in their e-mail, though it will be something that I made... digitally....

Favorite Christmas Movie?

The Life and Adventures of Santa Clause. Original Stop Motion version. But it's yet to be released on DVD. Probably due to the pagan-esque aspects of it. Should anyone find it on DVD, let me know IMMEDIATELY. I also like the other stop motion classics, and I watch White Christmas, and It's A Wonderful Life every year. I have to thank my 4th step-dad for getting me into those.

I'm not sure when I start exactly. I usually pick things up throughout the year as I see something. I do however try to be finished before Thanksgiving for sanity's sake. Though this year, I've FAILED.

No. I can't say I have all I've been given still, but I'm not into recycling them.

The cheesy potato cassarole that is usually made. And a jello salad that my Grandma makes. It's a huge family favorite, and there's almost never any left overs of it.

Colored, FTW. I also have done all blue. Which is nice as well.

Oh Geez.... song I don't know. Albums... Abney Park (It's amusing to hear a rather dark version of Rudolph), and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Home, unless the family (or friends, I've split between the two before) wants to get together in another's home within the area. But real traveling on the holidays isn't for me.

Dasher and Dancer, Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, and Dunder and Blixem. Dunder and Blixem were in the original poem back in the 1800's. I believe the exact year was.... 1823. Dunder later became Donder, and morphed into Donner... and Blixem became Blitzen. There, a mini literary history lesson for you all.

I've had a variety of things. But I've had an angel topper I found at value village some years back, and have kept it since.

I'm sure we'll be updating that, but yes, bring yourself, anyone else you'd like, and food to add to it.

Of course I had voted for him too. And not because I'm a "liberal democrat" either, because I'm not. I could more accurately be described as a moderate, in the middle, sort of person. Some views of mine can be considered liberal, some conservative, most are in the middle though.

However in this case Obama's views over all matched mine more closely. That and the idea of Palin in the white house is scary to me. McCain's a decent guy but... he's older, and not the healthiest. Palin is not ready to be vice president, let alone running the country, which would be a very real possibility if McCain had won. Scary, scary thought.

That and have you ever noticed how things are on a cycle when it comes to presidents? We'll have a couple of terms of one party, and then couple of another. Here's my theory on things. A president of one group gets elected. His first four, he'll do good work, and balance out the extremes and mistakes of the last eight years from the other party. However then his second term, it's too much of a good thing and then he fucks things up, etc. And so then a candidate of the other party is then elected.

So I say one term each, and stagger one party one year, one another, it'll keep things balanced. Not that it'll ever happen, but it's a thought.

That and people need to stand up more for what they believe in, instead of letting congress, and the house of reps run amok like we have been. Stop being so freaking complacent! Actually got pissed off at a friend tonight telling me that my vote, and opinions don't count, because they don't care, nor listen. So... they may not listen to one person, but they have to listen to many, especially if they want to keep being re-elected. And I feel my vote does count, and my opinions do matter. I'm not going to just not care... and bleah. So I pretty much pissed her off, because I pointed out that a lot of the problems were because much the the public has been too stupid to care, and just assume they can't do a thing about it. *shrugs* She can be mad at me all she wants, I suppose.

Also I do have to give credit to both McCain and Obama's speeches tonight. Both were excellent, and quite eloquent. McCain's also quite graceful at losing, and I give him a LOT of credit for that.

But anyhow..

Granted, as we are pacific coast, the live event on tv, won't truly be live, but time-delayed... but online the webcams will still be live. Webcam action should begin around 4pm, and on tv, 7pm.

I'm not yet sure if I'm working that day... but when I know I'll post a definate time. If nothing else some people will be here, like Rob, and people can pretty much show up whenever.

Also this will be a sort of potluck kind of thing. We'll be providing homemade mac n' cheese casserole, and pumpkin pie.

Let me know if you're interested, and I will be posting any exact times once I know my work schedule (and what I'm doing with CJ, and what other roomies are doing, too.)

Damned thing put me behind in all classes, so I'm sure I didn't do well this quarter. I'm just hoping I passed 'em all.

Besides that my son has started pre-school. Huge YaY for that. Not only will he get to interact with other kids more, and learn stuff, but now I'll have the time to actually get a job. An agreement I made with family I live with was no working till my son was in school, while I was so they didn't have to babysit him ALL the time. And I've already got an interview on Monday so... wish me luck! What exactly it is, I'm keeping to myself till I get the job, IF I get it, for sure.

On another note, that bigfoot thing I had read in the news weeks ago, well turned out to be a hoax, which pissed me off. It's people like that, who give cryptozoology a bad name. The thing that gets me the most though, is one of the guys behind it, is a cop, and had to have known that the scientists would know a rubber suit from a dead body.

But at least karma got him in the end and he got fired, hard core.

Today there was a headline, of "bigfoot body found." I of course couldn't resist reading it. Apparently recently some guys went to georgia, and found a bigfoot body. They plan on having a news conference about it tomorrow, and well... I'll post a couple of links up for you to decide what you think about it for yourselves. I'm hopeful that it's real, if nothing else to put a winning point in for the cryptozoology field in their corner. It's a field that I feel by far, isn't given enough credit.

The Orphan Works Bill.

Companies, big and small, (and even perhaps some individuals) can find your artwork online, see if it's been registered as being copy written, and if not they can register it as being "orphaned" and use it for their own benefit. And once they register it, not only will you not be paid for them using your work, but it would then become illegal for you to use your OWN work.

This applies to everything you put out there, including images you've taken of yourself or family.

How fucked up is that?

Currently all you have to do is put the circled C on your work, and your name, and it's copy written. Registration gives you the ability to sue others who steal your work, but even unregistered, you still have all the legal rights to it. And now others want to take that away, and force you to register, or goodbye rights.

So do what you have to do, write to legislators, congressmen, senators, etc. Sign the petition (link will be at the bottom of this) DO SOMETHING. Don't just be lazy and let this bill be passed.

Anyhow there's a not so known Pirate festival in June. Not so well known simply because it's all the way out in Westport, WA.

My roommate, another friend, and I are trying to put together a big group to go to it this year. The event is June 20th-22nd, so we'd be leaving Friday morning, and coming back either Sunday evening, or Monday morning. Most likely Sunday so we only pay two nights of hotel costs.

Yes anyone who goes will have to chip in for hotel costs. You can choose to either split the price of some rooms with us, or get your own. Plus you'll want money for food, and souvenirs. While I'm helping organize the trip, I'm not made out of money people!

The hotel, one I've gone too as a kid with family so I know it's a decent, clean place, comes with a continental breakfast. So you'll only have lunch and dinner costs (some rooms are studios with a kitchen if you'd like to do that too).

This year, I'm up for doing the same, but there's a bit of a snag in the plans.... I won't be able to do transportation this year. I could send Rob out in my car to pick up to 3 people out, but he no longer has his minivan to get more than that. He's also yet to get another vehicle.

There ARE bus routes that would get people out here, but I'm not sure if anyone would want to take them. So my dear friends who are staying in the area, if you want to take a bus out and hang out here for Christmas, please let me know, so I can make sure I have everything I need for Christmas Day! If not, well hopefully transportation won't be an issue next year.

On other fronts... well my ankle is not fully healed yet. I have ONE pair of shoes I can put on, as it's canvas and stretches just right, but I can't wear others. My ankle and foot are still a bit swollen (and the ankle still gives off heat), and it still hurts. I've been doing all the exercises for it that I was prescribed, but I guess it'll just take time to heal all the way.

And my lovely little one just turned 4 today.

My ankle, which I severely sprained, at best, a month ago is still swollen and in pain. I do have more movement back but... yeah if it's not better than it is now in a week I see someone about it again.

Also starting next week is an array of tests to see if I have cervical cancer, pelvic inflammatory disease, or poly-cystic ovary syndrome. Which one I have, doctors don't know yet, but it's a given that I have one of them due to what's been going on with me physically.

I'll spare you all the gory details. Hehe.

But yeah I'm taking time off to get my medical situations taken care of. I had talked to Roby today, and he agreed it was for the best. Especially since they caused me to miss two weeks consecutively, along with other absences earlier in the quarter (yes things really were that bad) and well.. passing any classes this quarter became impossible because of it. >.<

So, I'll spend my time catching up on drawings I owe people, writing fanfiction, doing other art cause I can... etc..

I've been thinking a lot about stuff to do during break. I mean I plans for the 15th through the28th or 19th, but then I have nothing else planned until Christmas of course, and even that is iffy. I do plan to see about getting some friends over for the afternoon like last year. Had a lot of fun just hanging out then. Especially friends who've no where else to go. (For those who don't let me know asap, so I can plan ahead of time)

But that leaves a lot of empty days. I'm considering putting a get together sort of thing for all friends in the area. Just hang out, have fun, perhaps watch some movies. Or who knows, perhaps even a ghost hunters marathon.

Everyone could bring food or something....I don't know.. any thoughts or ideas? Yes it will mean more people shall know where I live, but since everyone on here, and other places I may post, this bit, are all friends list only so... I'll live. Hehe. Still thoughts, suggestions, and so forth on that is welcome.

As you may or may not have noticed, all of my previous journal entries have been deleted. I've been systematically doing so from most online places.

Why?

Because of personal safety and security. I don't like knowing just anyone can come across things and read them.

The thought of that bothers me.

So I have a place specifically for more personal journals, that I can customize the privacy settings to a much greater degree. If you'd like to see it, send me a note, and I'll send you a link to it.

Granted very little on it is open to the public... but yeah.

Anyhow other than this entry, everything journal wise in here, will be specifically related to my art as it pertains to deviantart. Or possibly the heart band revolution.
