For all of you people not paying attention, my family went to California for spring break. It was awesome.
Basic overveiw:
day one: travel
day 2: random sightseeing (hollywood and such) with a gay uncle as a tour guide
day 3: legoland (for addison, the brother)
day 4: um... I think this was mostly antique and vintage stores...
day 5 and the rest: disney. That was the one thing my mom wanted to do. Really? It turned out to be fun, though. We got to skip all the lines!

So yep. I'm gonna be dead tomorrow.
and souvenir-wise, I didn't get any touristy stuff, which I hate. I had to wear this big vintage fur collar through the airport because it wouldn't fit in the luggage. I got all kinds of looks.

It was a pretty good week. But I was glad to back, I missed my puppy!!!!!!!

Also hand sewed a felt hat the night before... oh, the irony.

So, yeah, the hand-sewn one is black with kitty ears on it, inside color a dark red

second (machine sewn) in cream with pink inside ear color

third (machine sewn, last so far) gray with pinkish-purple terrycloth like material inside ear color.

Made the second and third today. (christmas eve)It was pretty fun... Got great grandma and (regular) grandpa to wear the cream and pink throughout lunch. grandma through lunch, grandpa through desert. And why am I telling you this???

Very happy with my new machine, it has like, 60 something stitch settings, it's amazing, considering Freddie had one...
Speaking of which he's out to be fixed at the moment.

But anyway, my latest project: making pens from feathers. Specifically, mute (really big white) swans. It's near molting time at the lake, so Iv'e been going down to the lake often to see if I can't find some good feathers. Already have the feathers that I have tempered (makes the shaft stronger). Now I have to find a knife knife sharp enough to cut the quills.
Won"t be at church Sunday, I'll be at great grandma's house. It's fun over there. Wonder if we can bring Scruffy...
Pig dissection the last two days of skool! So excited!!! Don"t know why, but things like that have always excited me, bones, dissecting, feathers, skulls, snakes, big spiders, furs, gothic musicals, pencils. Well, the last couple got a bit off-topic, but you get the point. It's so very fun.

- syringes, cups, sometimes add things to blood, spices

- does not survive purley on blood, eats food

- does not kill

- paler, skin makes less metalin (stuff that makes you tan). They get sunburnt easily, tend to avoid sunlight, hence the "burning in the sun" and noctournal myths.

- ears tend to be a bit pointed, not to the extent of spock, some humans have ears kinda pointed, that's how vampire ears look like.

- canine teeth a couple mm longer, not very much, pointy. (Although some get them ground down, it hurts when you bite your tounge with those!)

- not immortal, only lives about 10 years longer than humans.

- They don't come from humans, humans don't become vampires, they're a mimicker species, seperate from humans.

-can't transform, can see reflection, can go over running water, not affected by garlic or holy water.

- lean, not fat (high metabolism).

- can get hurt, get cut, bleed. ( Yes, a stake through the heart would kill them, but they can die just as easily as humans.)

- slightly stronger immune system than humans, not supah human, just strong. But they can get colds, too.

- doesn't have to be human blood.

- pets aren't uncommon as a source, not cruel about it, see #2.
