Birthday
Four days ago was my 24th Birthday. With the money I wished for, I was finally able to buy myself a Samyang 35mm f/1.4 Lens. I love this Lens, I really do. It's my first fully manual one (meaning no autofocus whatsoever), so it'll be a bit more tricky to use, but I'll get used to it.

ISP Problems
Since about 8-10 weeks I don't have access to the Internet anymore, because my ISP likes to fuck me in the ass on a regular basis. I'd appreciate it, if they'd use some lube at least, but NO...

Connichi was very stressful for me, mainly because of my bad time management.
I'll try to go a little more easy on things in the future. Being stressed out was really bad for the overall quality of my photos.

WCS was not bad. The overall quality of the skits was quite high (with some exceptions of course).
In my opinion the first place was highly deserved, second not so much, third was good but with some flaws.

Last week I bought myself a Sigma EX 12-24mm lens and one day later it came in the mail.
I planned to use it for a photo shoot on that same day but in the middle of the shoot the autofocus of the lens suddenly stopped working.
I tested my other lens and it worked perfectly, so I could definitely rule out that I made a mistake or my camera was defective.

It will be the last time I use my Canon EOS 50D for a photo shooting.
Some time ago I decided to sell my camera to get enough money to finally upgrade to a full format camera.
Yesterday I finally found a buyer so next week my baby will be in new (and good) hands.

Along with it I also sold my Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 so the only lens I have left is my Canon 85mm f/1.8,
and since it will be a while before I can afford a new second lens, the variety in my photos will lack for a while. I'm thinking about investing in an ultra wide angle lens.

at first i thought it was funny, but its getting more and more annoying with each blog i read.

i know i know, many people have fans all over the world and don't want to alienate them by writing german all the time.
BUT: at least try to write in a way that makes some sense.

looking up words in a dictionary is generally a good thing,
but not if you take the first word you see and use it without even thinking about what meaning it could have.
it doesn't work like that with the german language, why should it work with others?
ever heard, that words could have multiple meanings?

my recent contracts as photographer just didn't gave me enough room to be creative.
i mean, how creative can one be, if he has to shoot pictures of 3 rooms that want to be  called a museum :D

but here in germany there aren't any big conventions over the winter.
