...Yeah.

It's my birthday today, 22nd November. I turned 22, i look a little older i guess, must be the beard. It hasn't been the greatest birthday dear readers, as the day started for me seeing MsTea off from Sydney International bound once again for Vancouver. It sucks that she's gone again but i know she'll be back in January and we'll get to hang out then, plus if she gets into University in Canberra then she'll be back permanently and that's something i REALLY hope happens.

After reminding dear Georgie that it was in fact my birthday she has promised to get me my birthday gift as soon as possible...you may like to know the gift i am waiting for is not merely my 22nd birthday gift but my 21st gift as well. I understand it takes time to hand make a gift like mine, and i also understand that Georgie is rather lazy (surely a trait i seek out in my friends so as i am not the lone lazy one), so i have no problem waiting for it as i know it's going to be worth the wait entirely.

Actually, reminding folks it was my birthday seemed to be the order of the day, besides my immediate family and a scattered amount of friends (that includes best friend #1 Clayton Northcutt, and the two others i met up with this evening) i have had to remind or tell pretty much everyone. Not the best feeling in the world i assure you.

The evening was saved however by a good dinner with C.N (the man is a saviour i tell ya), Brother Bear and Mark (a good friend of mine) followed by meeting with another good friend to go see Quantum of Solace. I enjoyed the film quite a lot and do encourage others to see it.

Folks, i'm going to level with you. I don't really know what i am trying to accomplish with this post. I don't know if it's some disappointment at my birthday or the feeling that another year has gone by with scarce accomplishments but things aren't so peachy right now for me....Then again, maybe it's just cause miss my friend.

Greetings To All,

This layout comes courtesy of the wonderful and i think it looks pretty kickass.

Not much of an update, but i'll fill y'all in on the few things that have happened since the last update. Got myself an XBox360, and boy is it fantastic, especially for a guy like me who doesn't go out much lol. GTA IV is fantastic, as is my beloved NHL and WWE. I also got a swanky new phone worth Six Hundred bucks for free in a giveaway lucky door thing at Optus (My Vodafone sim card works nicely in the phone hehe) so everyone is pretty jealous of that.

Work is the same, even with a million "pilgrims" in my city...the less said about that the better meethinks.

Tea (aka HRH Princess Puck) is doing well i hear, even has herself a new dA page, please do check it out and show her the love deserved. Also, Clayton-Northcutt is on his US tour and when he returns i will surely feature some of his work on my page so stay tuned for that.

Hola,

Just a small update to keep everyone who cares in the know. Well on the job front still the same but just crazy busy...as it tends to be this time of year. My Holiday to Queensland was pretty f**king good, and photos from that i hope will be forthcoming from either myself or Mr Northcutt (he has more photos of the holiday, i have more photos of us as half drunken fools watching TV).

The birthday shindig went off without so much as a single problem, besides the aforementioned Mr Northcutt having to leave a little early because he drove others there and they wanted to leave early (25 year olds who act like 65 year olds). Everyone who came to the party had (or at least SEEMED to have) a great time, even Georgie who had issues getting to C'Town from Epping but we got through it and had some amazing times with Singstar. The Party was great, but it was lacking one thing (needed more Puck )

Oh, and i almost forgot to mention what my brothers gift was...two tickets to OZZY FUCKING OSBOURNE!! Arena floor, and i gotta say that was one of if not THE best damn show i have ever been to. for 59 years of age that man can still go like nobodys business. And as for Zakk Wylde, the 15 and a half minute solo he performed was the craziest thing i've heard live before and i daresay will hear ever.

Anywho besides that not much else going on in my life, but felt like updating with the few things that have.

Hello one and all,

The time has come my friends, i have finally hit the big 2-1...and nothing feels different really. I mean i know i'm older and all, but birthdays don't really affect you much in my opinion. Well, with the exception of presents. And for those who wonder what i recieved, i recieved the following from the parentals:

- 1 Holiday to Queensland for myself and a friend ()
- 1 book (Dusty Rhodes autobiography)
- 2 shirts and 1 pair of jeans

And as for Brother Bear, i recieved the following:

- 1 Boardgame from E-Bay (It's A Knockout)

Apparently at my official birthday shindig on Sunday, a third part of his gift is coming and i am curious as to what it may be. Sunday has shaped up to be a great day and i hope it lives up to the hype what with it expertly catered by my mother (who took her leave from work to prepare all this week) and hosted by my more than generous grandparents (i hope the singstar doesn't bother them too much). So heres to a day of ballyhoo and awesomeness the likes of which haven't been seen since...well...since the last party at Chez Northcutt.

Greetings One and All,

It has been some time since i last updated, some four months have past since that time and a fair bit has happened. For started, i got settled in my job and worked hard..and have achieved something no one who knows me would have given me: a promotion. Granted it's nothing SERIOUS, but it is something with more importance behind it as i move for the first time out of the Mailroom and into Court Filing. Court Filing has more responsibility than the mailroom and hopefully a better paycheck to go along with it (although i won't know if i am even getting a small raise for a while) yet i think i will do well here...with a little luck.

Now also, since this time two birthdays of serious note have flown by: The 21st's of my dear friends Princess Puck and Maj. Gen. Clayton Northcutt M.D (On September 26th and October 15th respectively). Now both have truely remarkable stuff on their dA pages so everyone should visit them and show them the proper dA love by thowing about 's like they're going out of style.

And as my subscription runs out (Nov. 5th) and my own 21st looms on the horizon, i will look to upload more of my wares for all to see and critique (so long as critique doesn't come with pitchforks and torches, of course).

Howdy There,

A warm greeting to those few but appreciated that actually come to visit my page often and read this often disjointed rant that is my journal here on dA. I figured it had been enough time between proper updates (the last REAL update coming on March 24th of this year) and that enough things of note had occured since then to warrent such an update.

Well, to kick it off i am back in the land of the employed and when it rains it pours...I got a job, then suddenly 3 other job offers came my way all at once. Sadly i had to knock them back but it was mind boggling to have to do so what with having no job since i resigned from my last position and being desperately broke. However my new position is a far more physically taxing one than what i had been used to, but i relish the thought of a paycheck so i guess it's not that bad.

Secondly, with the Princess roughly 14, 000 miles away in Canada i hadn't gone out to shoot in quite some time...however a marvellous indavidual known as Georgie came along with me to the city for my first shoot as a photographer in a year. I think we came up with some fantastic shots (we took 124 photos that day) and i will continue to upload them as the month goes along.

Well, i resigned from my job after i could no longer take the neverending stream of shit from my supervisor and decided to jump before i was pushed. As expected i feel so much better now that i'm free of that bitter, arrogant old man and his endless prattling on. Oh, and for the few of you who know i play guitar, my folks bought me a new guitar. It's a Les Paul knockoff, and it has a fantastic sound (i'm lucky my folks are good people lol)...


Now, besides my usual pimping of people here in dA i've decided to start actually pimping specific people each update. So, i guess it's time for me to update and tell those who actually read my journal whats been happening since my B-Day. Well, Christmas happened, as some of you may have noticed. I gots me something purdy for christmas: a new Digital SLR, so look forward to the work that the princess and myself can pump out now that an SLR is in the mix. Also since i updated last, the year changed again(this piece of news is especially for those who are trapped in some time period e.g. 1994, 1987, 1952 etc.) My new year yielded very little promise in the way of a better year but i'm ever the optimist. Here's hoping that HRH will grace Sydney with her presence this year so i can take some of this paid time off i'm earning from work and get more PvP work out there...then again if i get some time off and she can't make it here, maybe i can scam my way there...but i digress.

So i say a late so long, farewell, auf wiedersehn and goodbye to 2006, and hope that 2007 actually stops life from sucking any more than it has these past few months....I know, not a fun way to finish a journal, so allow me to brighten it by pimping the usual suspects...

Well Well Well...Ladies and Gentlemen, the contest run by the delightful Deb-Deb has concluded and the winner was yours truely. This is the first thing i think i've won fairly in quite some time, and i would like to take the time to thank everyone who voted for me and to also thank for the first prize of a Year subby (thank you muchly )

Now, since my last update many things have happened. My grandfather is doing fine, for the few who may or may not be wondering. It turns out he didn't have pneumonia, but rather Legionnaires' Disease (which tends to kill people fairly regularly), however he's got the all clear and is back into everything with no problems.

Next, H.R.H Princess Puck went through a crisis of faith of sorts and for a brief moment had all but decided to leave this haven, however i am glad to say she's since come to her senses and is not only staying but is recommitted to our work and even though she will be unable to return here in the christmas period, she WILL be back, and when she does you all will recieve the gift that keeps on giving: PVP material.

Now, with but a few days till my 20th birthday, i will be expecting a mass outpouring of praise, love etc..AHAHAHAHA, like i'll get that seriously, i don't expect anything major from anyone.

Greetings To One & All,

I figured it's about time to update my journal here on my chosen outlet on the internet. Well to kick things off, in the time since my last update, i nearly lost ANOTHER family member. My grandfather (on my mothers side), has a tendancy to get sick and not tell anyone because he takes care of my grandmother. My grandmother, besides being my only surviving grandmother, has about 6 illnesses at once and my grandfather spends more time worrying about her than he does about himself when he gets something. So fathers day came around and he was a little under the weather but assured everyone he was fine, then three days later we get a phone call from my grandmother at about 12:10 in the morning telling us that she's had to call an ambulance because he's in a bad way. They get him into hospital and start trying to treat him (he was coughing up all different colours, and an insanely high fever plus he was REALLY disoriented), and within a couple of days the figure out what it is...he has Pneumonia. Allow me to say that again, the man had PNEUMONIA and tried to shrug it off as any other illness! Anywho, thankfully after two weeks or so in hospital and some serious medication, he's doing much better and is at home recovering nicely.

Next and just as important, my partner in crime H.R.H. Princess Puck will hopefully be returning to the merry old land of oz in December. This i truely can't wait for, and it'll be a happy day when we have some new photography for Deviantart to view and praise.

Speaking of this fine establishment, i was a bit...nay REALLY shat off with deviantart officials for removing my Steve Irwin tribute claiming me to be a plagiarist!! I am many things: lazy, sarcastic, a future drunk...i'm even a fashion victim! But i am not, i repeat NOT a plagiarist. But i know that someone would have had to report me for being one for the work to be removed. Whomever did so is both a coward and a bastard, and have earned my eternal hatred for doing so. But i do thank those who favourited and even viewed my tribute to Steve Irwin, and if you wish to see it, i will re-upload it to my photobucket account and give the link at a later date.

Howdy All,


Well, two months after my Uncle John passed, i got word that my Grandmother passed roughly an hour and a half ago. She's been at deaths door for 18 months so it's not a suprise but it is (if that makes sense)

She's had the gammut of problems, from a broken leg and pneumonia (which she got while IN HOSPITAL for something else!), to being unable to take any food or drink (nil by mouth), to being unable to talk or move in a nursing home bed, just wheezing and drooling. The past six months she hasn't been living so much as she's been existing so i'm glad that she is finally at peace...there's a phrase i always hate when i'm not grieving, but it makes sense at this point in time.

As for me, well i'm dealing as i always do with this stuff...i'm going out drinking..

Just when i think there are no more heroes on Deviantart, another rears their head.

Deb (a.k.a picklesins) held a contest, whomever could get her 20, 000th pageview would get a subscription or print or whatever she could come up with, the catch was you had to get the 20, 000th pageview before her 1 year dAnniversary. I caught her 19, 000th and was a staunch supporter of her achieving this goal, alas we didn't reach it. But because i got her 19, 000th view Deb gave me a 3 month subscription to dA!! Deb rules, and all of you should go and check out her kick ass gallery too.

On the 23rd, we had my Uncle Johns funeral. It was a nice service, and afterwards we all went to the wake and shared jokes and stories about him until the early evening when we left everyone else. That was the end of one week and the start of the next: on the 22nd my mother went for a mammogram, and they found a lump. We all were on edge this whole week until we were thankfully told that it was just a cyst and that she was ok. Since my last update my dear friend Puck has made her own dA site, VISIT IT PEOPLE!!

In the early hours of this morning, my Uncle John passed away, the cause of which was Cancer. He had spent the past week in a semi coma due to his body just not being able to cope anymore, because the cancer had just eaten everything away except his sense of humour. He was still cracking jokes and being his usual cheerful and friendly self all the way to the end. I just thought i'd put something here...i'm just a little out of it now. He had a way to make anyone who knew him even for 5 minutes feel like he was a lifelong friend, and would always help you out. He would always greet you with an insanely strong yet warm and friendly handshake (which even when he was a shell of what he used to be), and had a million and one jokes. I will miss him dearly.

Well, as i begin to write this it's 8:02am on Friday, and i'm at work. I've had 3 hours sleep, but by god was it worth it because i have seen my favourite band live at last...yes folks, i saw HIM! The show was at the Big Top at Luna Park (for those who don't know what Luna Park is, it used to be a huge fun park sorta thing, but has since dwindled down) and there had to be at least a thousand people there, maybe more. After the mammoth wait in the line to get inside, everyone did what you should do at a show while waiting for the headliner to take the stage: go to the bar. From there a drink or two was had and then it was back into the big top for the show to begin. Here is the setlist they played last night.

And a WICKED partial rendition of Madonna's song Frozen as the band one by one left the stage while the others played, ending with just Gas up on stage playing his ass off before throwing his sticks into the crowd, bowing and walking off to join his bandmates for a probable drink or ten.


Random things i remember from the gig:

Ville was AWESOME as i knew he would be, and the stage setup was cool. Every member of the band got a chance to flex their musical muscles, the most being Gas who played those drums like a badass motherfucker all night. The mosh pit's heat claimed a lot of victims throughout the night, as there was very few fights inside it. At one point people were fainting in the middle of the crowd, and Ville pulled the whole song up (getting the others to keep riffing one hand signal to tell them to stop the momentum of the song) telling the crowd to "be cool and make sure that everyone is ok and having a good time" before calling the band back into the song with another minor hand signal. From my vantage point i also saw standing next to me their manager Seppo, before he walked casually upstairs to probobly see how it was from up there. I am sooo bummed i didn't get a photo with or of Seppo, but that's the way things are i guess. All in all the show was the second best gig i've ever been to (KISS still hold the mantle of best gig EVER!) and would be glad to see it again!

The idea was created on a phone call a few months ago, since i couldn't take photos of my friend Tia a.k.a Puck, and use them in my art, why not have them taken by people she knows and have her as my model by proxy until such time as we can shoot a set in person So we thought about it, and ~PuckValoPhotography was born. Feel free to check it out as we're jointly running the site, and leave comments...Tia will read them, and you'll probobly get a reply.

I was sitting at work as am regularly, working on my dA page and checking out many good artistes when i decided off the top of my head to go and find one thing...The INFAMOUS 10 Questions.

These 10 questions originally came from a French series, "Bouillon de Culture" hosted by Bernard Pivot. It is probably more familiar to many as the questions James Lipton asks at the end of "Inside the Actor's Studio." I answered as truthfully as i could, now i want to hear your answers. Feel free to put your answers in a reply to this OR in your blog, but i want to see some answers. (if you put em in your blog, message me so i know they're there)

03. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Having someone say "You're good at that you know..."

This journal entry is entitled "Fake Friends", with the subtitle "New Year, Same Ol' Crap". Christmas was relatively good to me, well as good as can be expected i guess, but i don't complain. Got a few new graphics up, got some comments and then i got to 200 Pageviews (still psyched i even got past 40 lol). Have spent most of my time lately watching TNA wrestling DVDs or trying to create another haggard masterpiece like only I (and anyone else with a rudimentary knowledge of PSP and Photoshop) can create. Now, the title of this Journal entry comes to us from qam-stu (check her out..NOW monkey!) from her current journal entry of the same name. At the end she tells people to copy and paste the end into their journals to show who the real friends are and who the fake friends are. It's a hell of a sentiment so i decided to do it.

''Totally have to agree with all of you who say people are getting fake on here. So I gave in and let's see who really reposts this. This is a test to see who's paying attention. It serves to eliminate people who are desperately trying to add "friends" like its a popularity contest in High School. This is a test to see how many people in my friends list actually pay attention to me. Copy and repost in your own bulletin. Lets see who the true friends are and I think I know who you are... It's been a while since my first journal update but work sucks beyond all reasoning, as it has been stopping me from having the time to post ANY of my haggard masterpieces. But all those who give a crap, this week being the holidays and all, i am planning on posting in bulk as many of them as i can find that are dA worthy (and a few that aren't lol) so don't worry. Luckily been spending the few moments i have each day free searching for good work on dA and it hasn't dissapointed. There are a LOT of people way more talented than me, but it doesn't bother me as much as it used to funnily enough. Been catching up on the DVD purchases i've made in the past few months, thankfully got to watch all of That 70's Show Season III in one evening and AT LAST got to finish Roswell Season III after having it on my shelf for 3 months. So many DVD's, so little time.

Oh well, Until Next Time...

Well this is my first post in my journal here on DA, which pretty much assures that it'll be read by a WHOLE lot more people than my Xanga ever will..hell, three people will break that record. Thought i'd give a lil info in case you don't read the side bars here. I'm an 18(for another month anyway) year old from Australia, and i'm a guitarist who's currently stuck working a crappy job in a mailroom to get cash. I also like to think i make graphics, even if they are merely sub par banners for the various groups i'm a member at, i still put a lot of work into them. I don't tinker with my programs as much as i probobly should, but with this, my space on this site, i plan on changing that. So, that's the info out of the way, more info will appear on that little bar soon. Here is usually where i'll launch into random facts...Well, i'm tired after work so i don't really have much more to say, so i'll have to leave that for another time.
