MEN! WOMEN! FELLOW DEVIANTS! LEND ME YOUR EARS! (Thanks Will. ) Anyhow my idea is to make "Photographic Haikai-no-Renga." Renga is a Japanese collabrative form of poetry consisting of a set number of stanzas, each a haiku written by one of the poets. All poets who work on the renga are published in it. Now, to apply it to photography perhaps we string a collection of pictures together? Each one like a "haiku" from each artist. Or my first idea, which was to shoot a roll of film, and hand it to the other artist when you're done with it so they can double expose on your pictures! (Oh happy fun times of collabrative arts! ^_^ ) Perhaps the idea of haiga could be introduced. Haiga is a haiku paired with a painting, or a photograph. (Either or, or both.) Either way, I think it could produce some amazing results. If nothing else, reinvent collabrative art!

Feel free to borrow my idea. If you do let me know cause I'd love to participate or see what you did! ^_^

I wrote a Renga with a friend as well. Hopefully the first of many! I am not keeping with the one haiku a day challenge anymore, as it's been difficult for me to get on the computer everyday. (At least not till really really late.) I have been writing a lot of Haiku, and I'd like to say I'd been keeping it, but I've lacked motivation to upload them. Most days I forgot to write one I remembered to write an extra, and ended up writing a lot more lol. I'll get them up eventually, as some are really rather good! ^_^

I will continue to write stories, poems, and haiku! So look forward to that. ^_^

Oh! I'm looking for a group willing to try a renga too. A multi-stanza Japanese poem that is generally a collaboration piece comprising different poets. Each stanza is a haiku poem. There is not always a set limit of stanzas. Look into it if you'd want to write one! I'd love to give it a try. ^_^

Ok, so I have a new story up from the view point of Hanshal. This is a side rarely seen of him by the way. You see, in his youth, him and Coulumbine experienced a phenomenal tragedy. So he's rather serious and contemplative here.

I apoligize if you weren't expecting it to be so sad, dark, or tragic, but it is what it is. Take it for that. Coul has experienced tragedy, but her life is no tragedy.

So be expecting more story and the like. I hope you enjoy it, and I'd love feedback.

Oh I'm writing a story!!! ^_^ I'm putting up the first Chapter, "Guardian of the East," Which is about Raj'A'Vaster and Cyrene. Spymasters for their kings. Raj'A'Vaster is a captain for a Shah, and Cyrene is a mysterious woman from a ancient and proud nation, destroyed in a few days by an advanced and ruthless foe. Together, they stand against the troops that have arrayed against them. Two strong nations, one in decline and depsosed, but not out of the fight, the other, lead by the Shah, defends the ancient and proud peoples of his nation and the Eastern powers.

It hurts really bad... I feel like my thumb was smacked with a hammer and the pain is constant.

Cat bites are bad. Really bad the doctor said. (The only worse bite is a camel bite. Cause they gnaw... ) The saliva in a cat's mouth is designed to kill... so.. there's a good chance for infection. Fortunately... I'm young and am taking very strong expensive antibiotics. Unfortunately... I won't be able to use my left hand AT ALL for 5 days.... lol. Well... I can sorta use it... but... I still can't use my thumb.

Oh and my poor kitty Sandy has to be with animal control for 10 days. They're worried about rabies of course.

I don't know what got into the poor guy... I was petting him and he looked like he was going to go to sleep. It happened really fast... O_O

Both bills passed. So, it's now on to the senate.

Orphan Rights basically means that if you want to use something, and the creator is hard or impossible to find, you can taken ownership of it. Or, more likely, a corporation can take ownership of it.

This is bad because it weakens copyright law and may very well harm artists and common people. Your personal family pictures could fall into the category of what defines an "Orphan Work."

The legislation needs to be changed to clearly define a Orphan Work, or not passed in general . Read about it, act, and let your voice be heard! Protect your rights!

Basically we may be looking at possibly losing our rights to our art!

As artists we need to protect our own intrests as well as the rights of our fellow artists. We need to stand together and make our opinion known. We can't just sit idle while people in the government are considering selling away our rights. But what rights is an artists work, an artists invention and labor, property of anyone except the artist?

No one would benifit from this except the corporations and bussinesses would be able to reap a profit on our hard work!

Surely the government is under great pressure by the powerful lobbies of the corporations, but then all the more must we make our disatisfaction known!

So go, support your fellow artists. It's an artist's moral and civic duty. Learn about it, sign a petition, there's even a letter that's been written up already that you can send to our senators and state representitves.

We need to stop this whole "orphan works" thing from passing.

My computer's not too good for uploading my drawings right now. We own two but the one with Photoshop is getting worked on by my uncle right now.

I've been photographing my drawings with my digital camera and submitting thosse. (Which then takes an eternity for my computer to upload to DeviantART.)

I've uploaded more pictures but I'm saving my best ones from my Fredrick Meijer Sculpture Garden trip for last. (They are from 2007 but I've been too lazy to upload them. ) Some of them are very nice, I'm very proud of them. ^_^ I want to try to upload them at a time when I think a lot of people will see them.

This computer's really been worrying me... It's not working like it should. It always seems to be unstable on the internet. I really think it's just cause it's a crappy computer... There's not to much free space on it right now. It's the only one we've got right now though.

Woke me up anyhow. Looking back... I don't see how I didn't relize what it was. Guess I was pretty tired.

My computer with Photoshop is not working right now. It's also the computer that loads things faster on the internet. I'm obviously not very happy about it... I had planned to use my Spring Break to draw art and color it, but... my computer is not co-operating at all! >_<

I'll have to upload pictures from my camera I guess. Or use the scanners at school. I probably won't be doing too much coloring though, which is too bad because I'd really enjoyed coloring my last pictures. Thorn, Coulumbine 3,000, my Gypsy Pirate, and my birthday art gift Tal and Nao, had all been colored while that computer was still being co-operative.

So... hmm... guess I'll be putting up lineart. And pictures... I've got plenty of photographs I could put up. I'm also planning on uploading my big drawings I did in my drawing class. I'm still really upset about that computer doing what it's doing though...

oh well... not much I can do about it.

What it's doing is it will load everything really slow. It won't work at the right speed. I turned it on today at 10 or so and it's just now got past the loading sceen and it's 11:25. And it's black... all it is is a black screen. Bleh....

Anyhow, since I'm updating, did you know March is women's month? Yes, women have their own month! Lol. (My sister didn't know, lol. neither did I though.) Well, in all seriousness though, there's plenty of good reasons. According to recent research, a woman earns 75 cents for every dollar a man earns in our country. This is a all time high since 1996 when women were earning 74 cents for every dollar a man made. The reason I've mentioned this is because I think it's completely absurd in this day and age for such differences to exist. But there's always hope for the future, thesse things are changing and I'm sure there's enough people who know it's wrong that we will someday soon see this form of discrimination completely eliminated. Why would anyone ever have a problem with equal pay for equal work? It confuses me...

Discrimination in general is the most vulgar and terrible thing that exists in society. Whatever makes any one person think they are any better than any other person, that completely confuses me. I don't think they could possibly be thinking logically. We are all human, and we are all brothers and sisters. There is little that seperates people, the only thing that does is the human mind, and that's it.

I've read a very good book lately called Persepolis. (Actually, there are two books. Persepolis The Story of A Childhood, and Persepolis 2 The Story of a Return.) Both are very good and insightful. In the first book, the authour, Marjane Satrapi, details her childhood in the country of Iran. It talks about the time when Iran lived under the harsh rule of the Shah and latter, the more oppresive and controling Islamic Regime. Her story is a story of life, fear, humanity, joy, and in the last book, escape from the oppresive regime. During the war with Iraq, Marjane is sent to Austria to go to high school by her concerned parents. After finishing high school and after the war is over she returns to Iran. The story is a rare glimpse of what life is like in a place we know almost nothing about, I highly reccomend it. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me smile a good number of times. I believe everyone should read the books. She really had a unique experience. And, it's in graphic novel format! She's an illustrator. ^_^ And if reading's not your thing... her and a friend have made a full animated version of the story. Yes, a cartoon! It's already grossed 2 Million in America and is showing in select locations.

I know a lot of my watchers are girls. Happy women's month! You guys are all great. ^_^

Hurray! I have finally reached my 100th Deviation! This begs the question.. when will the 200th be? Well.. many more sheets of paper from now. (More than 200 pieces I assure you. XD) Right now I am very happy. ^_^. It's good that my 100th is Coul too. I've really come to like Coul a lot. She's by far one of my most favorite characters. Expect to see a lot more of her in the future. ^_^

(Sigh.) Alas, I shall NOT be coloring anything too soon. My computer will not cooperate. It's in standby (Or hibernate? O_o? ) and will not leave it. (The Modem blinks nonstop and nothing I do will bring it into the regular active mode >_< . CTRL+ALT+Delete does nothing! Neither does the standby button.) (Last time I pressed CTRL+ALT+Delete and either hit a button or clicked the mouse and got it to work again.)

She did it for a Kiriban commission. I finally caught a kiriban so I needed to ask for a drawing of my character Coul. ^_^ (Me so happy.) She's drew me a picture of Aneirin as a gift at an earlier time as well. ^_^

So please go check out her gallery and see all the wonderful things she's done. (She's also an expert art critic. XD ) Lol. Really. I've gotten a lot of valuable advice from her and since I'm trying to be the best I can, I really appreciate her constructive criticism. ^_^

It's 1:18 AM right now, it's December 25th and it's Christmas! ^_^ I'm exhausted and tired right now. ^_^; So I'll go to sleep, wake up late... or get woke up early by my anxious siblings, and relax tommorow, hopefully. Unless I decide to get some work done on my art. I told a few of my friends I'd do them some fan art so I kinda feel I should get it done.

I owe a picture of Kris and Hilda, or Kris, or Hilda. XD ... Um.. is it okay if it's just Kris? I can't think of any good ways to incorporate Kris and Hilda in my drawing. ^_^;

I also told I'd do her a picture. I'm going to do a fan-art of her character Yumi-Chan. ^_^ (Yumi-Hikari, if you'd like I could upload my sketches I have done so far.)

While not a complete fix, I have discovered that using my computer that works with Photoshop but not internet, and uploading them onto here with my zip-drive works! So I will be uploading pictures again! Hurray! ^_^ The first two I pictures put up from my zip drive are long overdue...

She caught my Kiriban set at 1,500 a while back and I finally got her picture up.


I finally got her birthday art up too. ^_^; Sorry it took so long.

In other news, Monday was my last day at KCC. (For the Winter semester.) I had to shovel half... HALF of the driveway by myself. Yep. Half of the driveway. Physical labour is not what thesse hands were meant for! But.. all the same.. the noble prevail over their meanial tasks! XD So that's why my mood's noble. I had to work, in the cold, without incentive to earn money, to get to class Monday and I made it on time. Well... Casually late. XD But I made it anyhow!!! ^_^

I have a condition where I shouldn't be out in the cold much. So you can probably imagine what I was thinking out there. In addition to the fact I despise work and the effort you need to put into it. XD I didn't have any really nasty problems. Even though I have that condition it didn't show any signs and I was fine and everything was good. ^_^ And I had time to drink some Orange Mandarin Tea before taking off for school. Mmmmm. It was delicious. And WARM. So very nice and warm. XD

I just beat Tenchu Heaven's Veangeance. My brother's friend let us borrow it. It is awesome. XD Older game I'm sure, but it was new to me. Ayame is way cooler than Rikimaru. This short story, which may very well become a long story as I intend to write more additional chapters, is centered around Coul. (It's very fitting for the holiday season too. XD)

I wanted to submit something so, there it is. The first short story I've ever allowed to be presented to more than two or three people.

So I hope you like it. I'm still quite new to writing. It's rather daunting. ^_^ Any suggestions are welcome, as are compliments!

Treasure in an Alley is the first of the series Tales of Coulumbine the Assassin. I hope you like it and if it's well recieved I shall continue the story.

In other news, my computer with Photoshop is working now but the internet on it and Photoshop are both acting up. My sister did a system restore on it because that fixed it the last time it was like this but now it won't stay on the internet longer thant ten minutes and Photoshop says it needs to be registered and activated before we can use it. Without the internet working on that computer, sumbiting deviations to DeviantART should be rather difficult. I intend to activate Photoshop tommorow though. With the internet on this computer working it seems with my zip drive I can load the files onto that and upload them here on this computer, it'll be more work but it'll keep me from being lazy. >_<

Anyways I was the Mad Hatter and that was fun and now I'm just myself again. I'm working on writing an essay for English, drawing a picture for my drawing class, designing a mask for my design class, and writing up a outline and preparing for a speech on Monday. Oh joy.

But anyways, yeah... this is just perfect. It's not like I have school or anything to concentrate on. I'm stumbling around the house and saying things weird and I don't hear things right and I'm forgetting stuff etc. And sniffling! Oh with the sniffling will it ever end! I'm afraid to draw anything to cause I'm afraid I'll snezze on it or cough on it. And was does everything taste discusting! Serriously I'm in no mood to eat or drink anything. Even my tea tasted horrid. I made myself drink some cause I figured it'd help and hey it's full of antioxidants, thosse have to be good right! I've been eating a apple or two everyday, WHY DO I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD CALL THE DOCTOR BENJAMIN FRANKLIN!!!!

I never get sick. Ever. I think that's what's bothering me so much. Oh well. Just wanted to rant somewhere's. And on a side note... EATING A APPLE A DAY WILL NOT KEEP THE DOCTOR AWAY!!! (IT'S NOT A PROMISE IT'S WISHFUL THINKING!!! )

Anyways though yes! Kiriban at 800 people!

My only rules are that I want draw anything I really really don't want to (that I have moral or serious problems with.) So other than a few things... I'll draw anything! Lol.
