Okay the lowdown on my absence!


No I havent forgotten you all, and I am so sorry I havent been able to view and comment on everyones work :cries: I came into DA today and my message center had over a 1000 messages, so unfortunately I have had to delete some as I really cant manage them.


As most of you know I have been unwell for a time now, I have been too and fro from Dr's and Hospitals having a number of tests for Cancer in various places around my body along with tests for ME/CFS. I am currently still waiting for the results of most of these tests and awaiting more tests the next of which is a MRI on the 28th June.


At present I am feeling rather run-down and frustrated, I have been so tired, that the simple basic daily tasks we take forgranted have been too much for me. With this comes guilt ....


I feel that I am letting my family and friends down and for this I appologise...


To those who have noted and emailed me and I havent replied as yet... Please do not take this personal, I will reply as soon as I am able.


Appologies to =brawnyfanta who has come over to take me out on a number of occassions for photography trips only to spend his time couped up in my house keeping me company while I drift in and out of sleep. I really do want to go out Brawny :hug: as they say 'The mind is willing but the body not able'.


And now to my family...Thank you so much for all your support and help and love at this time, I really appreciate it and I love you all more than you know. You are my life :kiss:


On a lighter note!!!


It was my youngest sons 5th Birthday on the 5th June, we had a wonderful day with loads of hugs and cake, such a happy day. On the 8th June it was my Birthday, yet another great day with my family and friends. I do have to say thanks for some fantastic gifts :D

Appologies first of all!!!


I few of you have noticed that I have been rather quieter on the net than I am usually, for this I appologise.


I am currently feeling pretty low and emotional due to the fact I am awaiting to have some biopsies done, once these are over I hope to get the 'all clear' and carry on as I was.


On a lighter note!!!


I have been out and about this weekend with =brawnyfanta who needed to try out his 'new baby 350D', we had a tiring but great time around the dales, in particular I must mention a place called 'Keld' in Swaledale. I has the most beautiful landscapes and waterfalls.


Keld is a tiny village comprising of only a couple of cottages a great place for those wanting to get away from it all. The local cafe/shop is very welcoming and very reasonably priced for starving artists like myself :D

A 9 Year Old To Be Proud Of!!!!


My 9 year old daughter was in a creative mood today, instead of her usual Bryce, PSP, Drawing and Painting, she turned her hand to Studio Photography :)


She came in from school and caught me at it ;)


Messing with my new baby 300D!!! What else :P


Anyway to cut a long story short, she bribed me with a cup of Tea, and in a moment of shock I let her loose with my camera :|

Where Have I been!!!!


Hello and Greetings to you all :hug:


I hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas!!!


I do appologise for my absence, I have been a tad under the weather..


Flu, chest infections, asthma etc etc I won't bore you with the details


I have missed you all so much, and now I am on the mend I hope to be able to spend more


time on the PC, I still am under orders to take things easy which I will do gladly


as at the moment I get breathless and tired very easily.

Flaming Internet!!!


I am absolutely furious with my ISP


it keeps going down, they try to blame our PC's


then find out it was a wiring problem at their end.


I am thinking of going with another company this has been going on for a year now!!


I have also been having problems with viewing images in DA :(


Unfortunately I have had to delete everything in my message box in order to get DA working properly, so to those who I have not responded to recently I do appologise, it really was not my fault.

Grey skies, not good for nice autumnonal shots... yet no frost or snow for any pretty winter shots...

I have had to resort to working indoors, I have been trying a few new things, its been a little hard going with the restrictions of this camera and the lack of a studios and lights etc...alot of improvisation has been going on....

So what am I working on in the indoors....Two things really

1) I have been working on Skin/Tat shots with the help of he has been a wonderful model, and very patient. I am doing a little post work on the shots at the moment, trying to find a different ways to display/frame them.

2) I have also been working on a nude collaboration with &

I wanted to do a little modelling before my body completely gives out on me. Yes the age and 4 kids are deffinately starting to show!!!!

The shots are I think going to be classed as 'Artistic Nudes', 'Mature Content' not sure as yet, not really tried anything like this before, so I will have to do some research.

I'm quite a shy person, so it has been quite an experience, with alot of blushing going on!!!

In most of the shots we have tried so far is my co-model, is the man behind the camera for the majority of the time, the long and short of it is that I had an idea for a couple of shots and with the help of these two wonderful people we hope to produce a series of images, it has been a learning experience for us all. I have around 200 shots to look through and work with so hopefully once the bad ones are discarded there they may be a couple for us to upload :)

This will be I think the one and only time that I personally will be modelling Nude, although I may make an exception should Vin Diesel request a few shots ;)

Anyway, I have gone on enough (which I tend too, when I am feeling a little vunerable and embarrassed).

Luckily I didnt, I put my image on a CD and went to 'Jessops' spoke to a member of staff who looked at my images and told me the same image would be fine at 15x10.... well to cut a long story short, an hour later I collected my prints...they turned out great :) they didnt cost alot either :boogie: which meant I could get some better frames for them than planned. There all wrapped now and ready for the post office.

So for anyone in the UK, do not go to 'Click' for help :P

My feelings are mixed..

I am nervous, excited and most of all confused....

I think it's always hard being the "Newbie", you never know where things are, or how to do things the way they should. It's also kinda lonely, I am fairly confident that not many people will see what I am writing in this journal, as newbies are rather invisible till they get a footing in a place and someone else has taken over the "Newbie Spot"
