I just finished submitting my final project for my final course. So as of right now I am done with UMUC. All that is left is to tie up some administrative loose-ends and I will have myself a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication and a College Certificate in Web Design.

The fact of the matter is that school is kicking my plot to the moon and back every which way but leastways.

I am still jobless…and I found out over the weekend that my unemployment benefits have been denied. This is due entirely to leaving the job before the one I got fired from willingly. Understandable of course, but it still sucks.

In this particular case, I ended up getting fired on Thursday. Apparently bringing a sketchbook into the office is considered some sort of security violation or something. Ahh yes, 0653011M3 was my last day at work. I can't say that I am entirely heartbroken about it, I really didn't like the job all that much. Seriously, I really didn't. I've been attending Otakon since 2006 and I have to say that this has been the best one since 2009. While the mail that was sent out was pretty clear to me, some folks just didn't get it. There was a lot of noise and irritation on the forums in regards to fanart. A handful of folks were crying because the rules meant that they couldn't sell prints, others wanted to mince words about what mass production was, and a few others couldn't wrap their heads around IP laws.

Much amusement was had on my end of things…

But with all good things, they must come to an end. Not that I am saying that web/forum drama is a good thing. Just the opposite in fact. A ]]>
