Question 1: Where did I learn to draw this way?

I learned...in my room! > well, sort of. Mostly I drew in my room lol. I didn't go to a special place to learn how to draw. Drawing is something that's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have only two most memorable memories from preschool: 1) I grew up surrounded by asians and my preschool teacher was white -_- I thought she was a devil in disguise and 2) for some reason, my classmates envied the way I drew stick people o_O;; they always thought I drew good but I didn't care about it. After I saw my first anime, Fushigi Yuugi, I started to self teach myself to draw by copying the art style. A bit later, I found Sailor Moon and Pokemon and then I started to copy those as well. My first art class was just a cartooning class I took in the 6th grade for like a couple of weeks but...it was...>_> well, it's not something worth mentioning. They taught me retarded things >.<;; and most of the class didn't know how to draw anyway so yeahhhh.

Question 2: And color?

I used to color with color pencils :0 now I have a lot more resources such as copic markers, chalk, paint, photoshop etc. I'm actually best using color pencils because back then I'd just use it to color without knowing how to do any techniques. I was seriously weird ok? By self teaching myself to draw, all I did was stare at anime pictures lol. And then I'd gradually pick up things like the folds of the clothes, the flow of the hair, facial expressions, hand gestures, postures, and shadows. Then I began to do shadings and mix colors and stuff.

Question 3: Where to go to learn more?

I'm quite clueless about where to go school-wise because I've only had 1 cartooning class, 1 art class, and 1 animations class in my life. Take art classes if your school has it :] the only things I taught myself how to use were copic markers (although I'm not good at it), photoshop, and color pencils. From that single art class I took like 3 years ago, I learned how to paint, use charcoal, draw backgrounds, mix colors (the correct way), make jewelry, and sculpt. If you really enjoy art and/or if art is something you are considering as a possible career, I really recommend taking art classes because I think it's so fascinating to learn from these more experienced artists. They really have a lot to offer and you can so many techniques and tips from them. If you're learning by yourself, I recommend going through the How to Draw Manga books. I used to go to the library a lot to borrow manga and these fascinating How to Draw Manga books. They have one about poses and the book is just filled with people sitting, walking, talking, eating etc. I used to copy the poses and learn my anatomy that way. My favorite artists were Yuu Watase and Clamp so I stared at their pictures mostly. I draw a lot of Naruto but...well, in all honesty, Kishimoto's art style isn't cute enough for me -_- oh, while learning to use photoshop many many years ago, I used to read people's tutorials and try practicing what they did. I especially loved Kaze-Hime's coloring tutorial. Aside from Kaze-Hime, another deviant artist that I really admire is I used to stare at her pictures too because she makes the most beautiful DeiSaku art :]

It's quite hard for me to really pin point how I got to where I am today. When I was little, I didn't think about becoming good at all. I just wanted to make beautiful anime pictures and I had such an imagination back then. I just had so many images flowing into my head and I wanted to draw them all out so I drew every day. Im weird ok? Lol. It was fun to me just being able to draw and then gradually I learned to draw eyes, hair, fingers, bodies, etc.

I've totally faileddd! T_T I told myself that before summer was gone, I'd finish the two requests I got, do a fanart for "The Way of the Way," do a doujinshi, and do a comic page for Fallacy's "Found" o_o;;...

Oh well, I'll try to get them finish. I've been quite busy and frustrated with summer school and depressed because I need to find a job.

Other than that, on another note it seems...that I have been tagged! This is the first time I've ever been tagged o_o *feels honored* and have both tagged me with something that is very similar.

Ahem...I shall now commence my task and tell you 8 facts about myself.

1. Senko's not my real name...heck...the real name that people call me by isn't even my real name because the so-called real name is actually...my middle name! *_* but of course, my real first name is total shit and I hate it -_- therefore, I go by my middle name. But even still, I hate my middle name too. Thus, I like it when people call me Senko ^_^
2. I have a fear of many animals...especially cats...T_T ironically though, I have three Hello Kitty plushies o_O
3. I have two birthdays ._.; my real birthday is May 15, but my documented birthday is June 3. So it's like...I was born twice? o.0;;
4. One of the things about me that annoys my sister is that I will constantly get hooked on certain songs and obsess over it for 2-3 days, just replaying the same old song
5. My favorite shirt for many, many years was a dark green surfing-Pikachu t-shirt...but it's old now and ripped
6. I think I have this thing for uhh...ridiculously hot and old men o_o; I used to like Yue from CardCaptors. Then Yugioh came along and I fell in love with Bakura for a couple of years. Then Naruto came and I fell in love with Kakashi (see the pattern? Old, hot, white-haired men O__O). Then I met Itachi around episode 80 and I've been in love with him for about 3 years.
7. I'm craving taiyaki...I've only had it twice but I can't get enough. If I want some, though, I have to drive over to San Francisco to buy it -_-;
8. I love to pair weak, annoying girls with kick-ass, coldhearted, evil characters. Therefore, I love AnzuBakura, AnzuMarik, KagomeSesshy, and AkatsukiSakura.

Anyway, my school will be starting next Thursday. I will make an effort to upload more artwork. Actually, I've been pondering over a certain idea. I draw like...a lot >.>; but very, VERY few of my artwork actually get to be colored and uploaded onto my gallery. I've been thinking of uploading my sketches and crap art...hmmm...but that's still an idea to consider.

PLEASE READ I NEED HELP!

I've been extremely inactive on deviantart and fanfiction =\ I guess with the lack of computer over the past couple of months, I was simply too frustrated and tired to fight over my parents' computer with my two younger siblings. Hopefully, nothing will go wrong with my computer any time soon T.T

I'm typing up this journal entry because I'm in need of some suggestions

Regarding fanfiction, I intend to finish The Other Uchiha. I've left The Devil's Embrace for agesss but I really want to finish that too because I have an ending in mind that I really want to write. I also very much want to finish Thank You. Meanwhile, I've been reading around and I've been inspired by some stories, so instead of making new longer stories, I have plotted out several very short stories that I intend to have as a one-shot or perhaps 2-3 chapters long.

Here's where I want some ideas I have a two-chapter GaaSaku AU high school fic almost done, but I need help. Sakura is supposed to encounter something (I'm thinking Ami, but what will happen during the encounter?) before Gaara finds her sitting in the rain. Give me ideas T_T

And now, regarding my artwork I wasn't going to focus on my artwork because originally I had planned to go to Fanime and Anime Expo with my friends and I wanted to focus on cosplay instead, but I'm extremely pissed that my plans are now canceled. Thus, I figured to make myself happier...I'd...draw like hell. O_O; Tend to my Naruto obsession.

And here's where I need some more suggestions. For a long time now (about 2-3 years), I have planned out doujinshis that I want to make. In fact, I have bits and pieces of certain things but I just never posted them because if I post a doujinshi, I don't want to post only one page and leave it at that -_-;

I have in mind a collection of childhood dounjinshis. There is NO REAL ROMANCE (kissing, hugging, confessions, etc). Stories only IMPLY romance. For example: GaaSaku, in which Gaara visits Konohagakure with his father, the Fourth Kazekage, and encounters Sakura. Vote for the pairing you want to see!

Sorry about the lack of art >.<; I've been busy, and for the past week or so, my freaking computer wasn't working =.=; there goes my idea of drawing an AkatSaku Christmas picture ;-;
