I did!

Now I read the reviews and decided to go in with a "they're going to screw this movie up" attitude. Well in the end I after the 2 hours and 45 minute show I did not leave the theater unhappy. After reading the graphic novel, the shock factor in the end wasn't too much of a shock, but watching people in the theater leave with their jaws to the floor in so much disbelief was excellent (especially the jerks behind us mentioning about Batman and about hooking up with girls when they're married). This movie was great, the story is deep, the action had some exciting moments, Rorschach's mask was amazing to watch, I could go on.

After seeing it, I suggest going to see it; and honestly decide for yourself. I thought the movie was great, and well something people should think about the meanings after watching.

So we saw Transformers last night....and we LOVED IT! (and not just the fan-boy love, its a good movie love (cause Christina has only seen Beast Wars and refuses to watch it (story for another time) ) We thought it was the best movie we watched this year!! Everything went together nicely, I really like that the robots had personally, you really feel for them when they get hurt... I only really had three problems with the movie and 2 of them were with people in the theater. One of the nice things I REALLY liked about the movie was it ENDED. There was an ending, not a "lets leave things off for the next movie," but also the way it ended there could be a sequel, but if there isn't one (which I doubt they way things have been going) you're not left guessing.

There are many other things I really liked about the movie, but I won't discuss for those of you that haven't seen it. I hate when people review a movie and summarize the entire thing, so I won't. We're probably going to try and see it again there are somethings I want to look for from the "Official Movie Prequel" Book (Ghost of Yesterday) I read dealing with Sector 7, other than that I would say if you have the time/money: go see it.
No big deal, I have some saved Tutorials Im using and figure it would reconnect in a few minutes anyhow. One hour later: still nothing, check Christina's computer: internet is working. Ok, restart my computer and let it set for a few minutes: says it connected to the network but no Internet. Okay, try to access my shared drive rfom Christinas computer: can't find my computer. Grab the lap and check the wireless router, says everything is working. Okay, try reinstalling my network card: (ready) Stops the entire network!! Thirty minutes after reseting the router back to defaults and get everything working, except my computer.

Day 2: Buy and install new network card: Everything works!!

Day 3: Come home from work, my moniter is all black and has on it "error in starting OS..." I reclean my computer out, same thing, check all 3 hard drives work fine alone. Rewire all of my powercords: works fine.

So, Christina needed a new desk, her's started falling apart, and we went to Best Buy to see what they had. We were checking out games ( ) and I decided to try out the PS3. I first picked up the controller at an ebgames, but the only demo was basketball: I want to try something I can just press a few buttons to learn, not have to learn an entire screen in a few minutes plus Im not a Basketball fan. But anyways: The screen had what appeared to be a paused racing game: I thought to myself: hey I can figure out the controls better on this game than NBA. So I grab the controller and hit the Start button: nothing: I hit more buttons: nothing! The system crashed! I looked for a reset button, but nothing. I couldn't play the PS3. So far it's been 0 for 2 and I still really haven't see anything to get excited about. The graphics look amazing, but without playing it I really can't say.

In other news, Im working on 3 game design docs! Im going to do a vote thing on which one everyone that comes to my DA page thinks is the best and try to make it .

Ok, I have to be honest: I've been playing this more than Zelda! I think the game is great, though people are seeing it as a hardware demo more than a game. Which on some levels I agree, it would be great to have single player tournaments and what not, but it's more of a "call the gang over: it's Wii Sports Night! (which I'm planning on doing)" game. I love Tennis and Bowling, golf is lots of fun, baseball and boxing are ok. Though I think I would like baseball more if I was actually good at it. Boxing, the controllers are easy enough but at the same time kind of weird, it does wear you out! Now for those of you that like numbers:

Graphics: 5; Nothing too special, having your mii's play is cool
Gameplay: 9; It's all about the gameplay, and I love it, other than boxing
Sound: 9; The sounds effects almost are dead on
Lasting Appeal: 10; You want to get better and it's fun to play with other people!

I don't know why, but for the past couple of weeks: My Brain has been broken. I know what Im doing and I know how to do it, but there are times where it's like what the hell am I doing or talking about it. Its not like Im trying to fix something, I think Im fixing it, but Im actually making it worse, its more like Im cleanning my room and I clean the same spot 5 times, and realize that Im doing it. Or talking about how to do model a truck and explain how to model a person. (ok it's the same techinques, but I hope you get the point).

In other news, Im helping with a project at CMU's ETC. More on that later, that's not the project I mentioned earlier. The one I did is this: I talked to a guy on Garage Games about creating a level, for his "Novel" game engine, which infact was Quake 3's Engine. I'm not dis-ing it, but he said he created from scratch etc. Well, to create levels he wanted me to use GTK Radiant, not Max or Maya or a GOOD 3D software tool. Also not dis-ing Radiant either. I like Radiant for what it is, but you can't really create an awesome Unreal-detailed level with it. He wanted a full working demo (movie) of the game in a month, and I don't have the time or the want to create something without charging an arm and a leg and his first born son. He didn't even have a good game design doc made, though the level was a good idea but his wants were too demanding and I don't want someone that disses your work in his first email but wants to hire you on my resume so I declined. Though, he did send me some of his past work, after I asked him to send it to me, so if you need a good laugh or just need something to kill 11 minutes of your time, contact me Ill send you his link and a link to his game trailer for a different game. Any who then the CMU project came by and I jumped on it like a person jumping on something.

Anyways, Im going to go back to work, and try not to get distracted...

Yay Stillers won!!! Seahawks played a very good game too, though some of the calls I don't know about. It doesn't matter now, it's over and done with. The commercials were disappointing except for the few that were GREAT. Fedex, Diet Pepsi with Jackie Chan (not the rap one), Sprint's Theft Deterant, and the weird Godillaz Hummer one just to mention them.

So, I applied to a job on Garage Games. Ill give you guys some more information later, as crazed knows because I know she's going to read this, it's interesting.......

It's been kindof crazy the last couple of weeks. Target we've been doing alot and at Joe's we've been prepping for a convention. And I started a Rhino. Im working on the textures now, the model needs some tweaking when Im done, but nothing too major.

In other news, I got Megaman X Collection YAY!! Im up to 4x with Zero up to the Final Battle, just waiting for Christina to get out of the shower, she wants to see the final boss. Then it's to 5 and 6 then the racing game. I like to think of it as Mario Kart but with Megaman. WOOT!!

I have the next 3 days off, so Im going to work on my portfoilo. I have to put Buddy Death into my tape and some other models of random stuff. Oh and of course the Rhino Ill be posting a work-in-process later today!!

So, it's that time again, peace on Earth, Joy to the world, complete choas and P.Oed people. Yes Christmas, now I know there's many other religons that don't celebate Christmas, but in my mind Christmas is more of a global holiday. It's not so much a religious aspect anymore (not saying there isn't any, it just has a double meaning in today's world) but a time to get together with people you love to celebrate, there doesn't need to be a reason being together should be enough. (side note: and if you don't get any coal it's even better HA)

Ok enough Christmas ranting, Im probably going to get 100s of emails and posts saying that's stupid and Im wrong to say that. But it's my opinon, OPINON not a FACT which are two different things. Okay now that's cleared up.:

I d-led Pirates of the Caribbean 2 Trailer today and Im alittle miffed. Don't get me wrong, they're still getting my money, but sea monsters? The story looks kindof blah, so Jack sold his soul to Davey Jones and tentacle bread man is coming for him? Oh and there's a chest that belongs to a dead man some how involved. But I also remember being miffed by the first one's trailer, so hopefully...yeah.

Im still trying to get some time to see Narnia and King Kong. I don't know the chances of me seeing them yet because of work and work and umm work. So hopefully, they're still out during my v-k time. That's all I have at the moment, no new art work, that whole busy thing.

So I've determined something very important today, it's not really the end of the world, or the universe. But something even stranger. Working at Target in the backroom is like playing 2 games...Tetris and Zelda. "But Anthony," you say, "what the bloodly hell are you talking about?" Let me explain. Boxes, they go on the shelf...Tetris. Which comes my Target Backroom Tetris challenge: You can only stack pieces that are the same ontop of each other. Example: you get a box and a L shape. You put the L on the long side on the base, you can't put the square inside the L like we would all do. Don't deny it, it's Tetris, we all know the little tricks. "Anthony, what the hell, I could have told you that, I want to know about hacking and slashing from Zelda." Hold your horses, it's not hacking and slashing, there wouldn't be anyone left if it was like that. It's the puzzles of Zelda...you move your block over to the left, then you move the next block to the right and you put it on the button. Well the block is a pallet full of crap...and when I say crap I mean toys. "So ok, your subject mentions hell, I didn't read it once in your message." Well ok, here's why it's hell. We have boxes from before to fill the shelves, we got a double truck last night (30,000 boxes) and we're getting another one tonight, so tomorrow morning will be double the fun of today. And then tomorrow night, we get one more, 4 times the excitement, so take that doublemint gum.
