The thing that's causing me the most pain is my rat, Corn. I haven't been able to find a vet that will treat her, and the cancer's now half the size of her head. Since my dorm doesn't allow pets, she'll probably die before I get to come home and see her again.

In any case, I'm just going to continue doing my best, and hope everything works out. I'm sorry if I don't post or comment much; I'm going to be very busy. Or so I assume! And speaking of DA-things, my 5,000 kiriban is fast approaching!

As I walked through the art supply store, I gave only cursory glances at the contents of each aisle, to determine if the stock indicated a buttonmaker was nearby.

To my horror, one of the aisles contained an item that held my eyes captive with disgust. In this aisle, a man was bent over in order to examine the goods on a lower shelf. His pants had descended on his hips to reveal that he was wearing no underwear.
It was a full moon.

And it was an unclean full moon, at that.

This did nothing to help my nausea.

Sit on my ass, pig out on candy, and generally degenerate into a lazy slob.

But I have a plan to escape this...slobification. My plan is to improve the overall quality of my art as much as I can, and increase my portfolio with merchendise. That's right...merchendise. Not to brag, but I'm a whiz when it comes to sewing, crocheting, and sculpting. I can make a vast variety of plushies varying in style and complexity.

"If you're as good as you say you are, why haven't you posted any examples?" One may ask. Well...that would be because all of my best examples are waiting for me to finish them. I lose interest in projects I start for my own amusement. And there's the catch; 'for my own amusement'. When the project is for the benefit of someone else, I finish in a timely and professional manner.

So here's the deal. I'm going to be posting samples of my 'sellable' works, and I would like to know how much the public thinks they're worth. Please, BE BRUTALLY HONEST. Don't be shy about critiquing, either! There's nothing more flattering to me than when someone takes the time to help me improve.

I was Misty/Kasumi for the first two days, and then I was some weird, brightly colored rave girl. I went to the Gaia rave, and got a free item. Then, when I went back with Meeps, they gave me another one. The moral of that story is that when it's dark, people don't recognize you.

Just after leaving my new friends, I got a phone call. My albino rat, Ess, died while I was away. I cried like a little bitch for a while, and even went so far as to bug Meg and Meeps over the phone. Sorry, guys! But now, I'm done crying. I miss my little grumblebutt, but it's time to let her go. At least she wasn't in too much pain. Corn is lonely without her, though. All she's done is look for her all over the house, and cuddle me. ;~; Poor Corn. Expect some Ess art soon.

Also, my dermetographism was perfectly fine until I woke up this morning. >~< I'm so itchyyyy~

In other news, my weird allergy thing was diagnosed as dermatographism, which means 'skin writing'. Baisically, my immune system has decided to squirt out histomine willy nilly and the result is that I get all red and itchy whenever my skin is touched. But there is a bright side to this! I was reading about a female artist with this auto-immune disease, and she makes use of her dermatographism by utelizing her skin as a medium. That's disgusting and brilliant! So, every dark cloud has its silver lining!

AND FINALLY! Since freshman year of high school, I've wanted to play a tabletop RPG. I have one in particular that I'm dying to buy and check out, a zombie-themed RPG called "All Flesh Must Be Eaten". There are so many expansions, I hope I can figure it out. It's probably not that hard, but it's my first tabletop RPG.

The months before October, I was working on three or four pieces of both sculpture and traditional art and was planning to submit one every other day of the month to celebrate my favorite time of year. I wasn't-and haven't been-able to complete them because of an injury I've sustained.

Apparantly, I've damaged my tendons. I'm wearing braces on both wrists, and have been severely limiting my typing and other activities for this past month. My wrists have been feeling better lately...but I haven't really been able to draw. It's almost as if I've lost my talent. That really depresses me. I'm not entirely sure what to do, besides wait and try to heal.

Not calling anybody out here. Recently I was watched by someone whom I suspect of being a spambot. I think this mainly because their page has links to a porn site, or so say some comments on their front page. Also, they've only watched people whose usernames start with the letter "A" for some reason. Maybe people whose names begin with "A" tend to be hornier? Anyway, I'm not associated with this person. Porn's not my thing, yo.

◘ Referncing
Or, more specifically, what are your opinions on it? I always try to make whatever I'm referencing look as different as possible from the original reference without sacrificing quality. For instance, if I'm referencing a pose, I'll try to change the build of the figure, play with the angle, and maybe even move most of the other limbs around. Therefore, the only thing that I use the reference image for is a general idea, a jumping off point if you will, for how a type of clothing wrinkles or how a limb is forshortened, etc.

Naturally, credit where credit is due is mandatory. But if you only look at a small part of a picture for inspiration, do you think it's okay not to credit? And by 'small part', I'm talking a finger or nose, nothing more.

Recently, I've been taking my own stock photos. Either I'll pose for them or I'll have a friend help me out. It just feels better. What do you guys think?

After the awards, the crowd got really close. It probably didn't help that it was really hot today and I hadn't had much to drink. But all of a sudden it was like the world was rushing to close in on me. Next thing I remember, I'm sitting up wondering how I got on the ground. This must have happened over a couple seconds, but it was like coming out of a deep sleep. And then I went temporarily blind and deaf. I had to be escorted back to the car, and when my vision finall came back it was blocky, like an 8bit video game. Everything still sort of sounds like it's underwater, and people tell me I still havn't regained my color.

My sister's sort of angry with me because she thinks I did it on purpose to get attention. No one's fault but my own, I guess.

Anything like this ever happen to any of you? If so, how'd you deal with it?

Bonnie may have been a rat, but I loved her more than most human beings. A more gentle disposition you could never find in a rat, nor one that could bring an equal ammount of love and hapiness into the lives of myself and those around me. Bonnie was the runt of the litter, and I took her home shortly after my recovery from Anorexia Nervosa in the hopes that I'd keep myself healthy so I could take care of her. Ever since, Bonnie has kept me alive in many other ways; whenever I was sad, she would stare at me and click her teeth-the rat equivelant of purring-and I would cheer up. When I was anxious, she would run around the room with me, bounding so gleefully I could almost imagine her flying. She cleaned my room and fetched loose dollar bills. She did pushups and played monkeybars while hanging from the roof of her wire mesh cage. She always re-cleaned her cage whenever my mother and I finished, the little neat freak.

Why am I bothering to tell a website full of people I've just met or barely know? Why not.

Rest in peace, my furry little angel. Try not to chew holes in the hems of angel's robes.
