My subscription is ending, and thank you Cheesebacon, for it (Also, happy birthday, again!)

Let's see. DeviantArt was fun at first, when I came here for the first time, about 3 years ago. But nowadays, I have been only here for the drama feasts that occasionally happen, when butthurts cry, whiny wannabe artists think they're the best thing next to sliced bread, camerawhores, and the list goes on.
Thus, I have turned the entire gallery off, and all that is left are the stamps. You may still use them at your pleasure. They're the only items from my art who people can use and abuse.

I'll keep it short and simple: deviantArt fails. They destroyed the concept of what are should be like by never doing a thing towards those who are only here for the attention, and never improved at art. It could have worked so well as a community for the amateur artists, but has failed. No point in arguing this. Thus, I'll open my website, and stuff my drawings and projects in there.
I'm tired of this place, and I would preffer to use my time to work in a nice website for my portfolio rather than being badgered by morons here.

There has been this huge debate about recolors and traced pictures not being removed from DA, and nothing is done about those. There has been always a debate about ripped off characters, drawings found with similar poses to screenshots and other people's art, with no credit being exchanged, traced pictures claimed as original, etc...

... Have you ever asked yourself how did this start?

History of Recoloring and Tracing

500 years ago, Leonardo da Vinci was creating his new character, Mona Lisa. She was bound to become extremely popular among the masses and adored by many, and was going to be Da Vinci's most famous work in the art community.

And while he was happy working on his new character, Raphael saw his works, and decided he wanted to be famous too! Using the earlier methods equivalents to the actual Photoshop, MS Paint et all, he made his own character, Madalena Doni, an obvious rip-off from Mona Lisa, expecting to get the same popularity.

The fans got into an huge cat fight, argueing about Raphael's originiality, comparing both pictures, seeking weak trace points. Raphael fans claimed Doni was beautiful, and denied that Leonardo's character had ever been around first, while the other fans kept pointing "That's not an original character, that's Mona Lisa, not smiling, chubbier, diferent colors, and with more bling-bling!".
Eventually the issue died, with the confirmation that indeed, Leonardo's character had arrived first, and Mona Lisa prevailed as the original character, ever so famous.

Then, centuries later, came the damned Dadaists, possibly the very first /b/tards in history. Lovers of the ready-made and non-sense, along with their Futurists, and the Manifestos, among them stood a smartass named Duchamp, who created his own character, who was a woman/man/whatever with long hair and moustache called L.H.O.O.Q. (when reading this in french, it sounds like "She has a hot arse". He said it was his roleplay character, or god knows what he wanted this character for.

The descedents from the fans who got into the famous fight because of Leonardo and Raphael turn against Duchamp. While Raphael drew his character in a eyeball style, Duchamp traced, added a moustache and claimed as its own. Then again, what else should you expect from the guy who turned an urinol upside down and called it a fountain?

A new war begins as people try to prove that Duchamp traced and was about to get away with the copyrights, abusing of the fact that Leonardo was long gone and buried, then counter-attacking with the fact that Leonardo was homosexual and he would never draw that. Duchamp pretended to be tough with his abuse of dadaist memes, and his legions of fantards who believed blindly in him.
But as it always happens, evidence was found, and Duchamp was kicked from the Dadaists' group and sent back to what could have been the earlier equivalente of Gaia online.

All ended, the original picture was protected from another tracing and recolor attempt. All was well.

... then came Salvador Dali with his persona, and fucked up everything.

Do you see this?

This was a screenshot taken from one's DA page. You see a lot of black boxes because, obviously, I'm not going to tell you who this is or who is he talking about.

Words of support. They're nice, except...

1) This comment comes from a DA page where the user keeps uploading traced drawings from official manga art, and doesn't want to admit those drawings were traced, neither gives credits to where the original art came from.

2) The ones he's mentioning "I hope they get !banned" are the very people complaining about his traced drawings, and asking to either remove it, or move to a new section, and quote the original artist.

3) That same tracer made recently a journal complaining about the ones who called her "tracer", and he's asking support to ban them, when all they did was question his "art".

Also:

- When you trace from your own work (for example: trace from your sketch because you want a clean version of it), it's ok.

- When you trace from someone's art WITH PERMISSION and you give credits to the original (for example, you see a lovely sketch and you want to ink and color it, you ask for permission, and the artist says yes, as long you quote the original artist with a link to the sketch), it's ok.

- When you trace from someone's art, and don't even admit it was traced and refuse to acknowledge it was traced from something else, IT'S NOT OK.

So, what have we learn today, kids?

EVERY TIME YOU POST WORDS OF BLIND SUPPORT IN A SHAMELESS TRACER OR ART THIEF'S PAGE, GOD KILLS A KITTEN AND A PUPPY AT THE SAME TIME.

And personally, I'm little concerned.

Mind you, I don't want to get in another drama, but I hate it when some people think they can express their opinions whenever they want, and when someone else comes to state a diferent opinion, they are imediatly like "BAAAAAAAW!!! YOU HATE FURRIES!"

Yes, I'm talking about the infamed furries.

I dared to read someone's journal, critiquing the trolls currently walking around in DA. Then I went to check his gallery. And I find furries with diapers. Lovely.

I post this message as a reply to his journal.

In all honesty? I don't think enjoying to draw "adult" or "teenager" furry characters with diapers is healthier than being a troll. At least they make us laugh.

To which I got this reply, and I got blocked after it.

You're entitled to your opinion. But, since as a fur, I'm here to mingle with fellow furs, do you think you could at least do me the justice of taking your opinion elsewhere.

In fact, I can recommend a perfect place to post such views at... on Encyclopedia Dramatica's web site. Something tells me you and them may well find a thing or 3 in common.

Btw... don't know about you, but trolls don't make me laugh... they make me wanna run a katana through their empty heads. If those kind of idiots are more your kind of people, then maybe that's where you should be posting you anti-babyfur views at.

On a final note... you draw what you like, I'll draw what I like. Nobody has to check with you on what they do or do not want to draw, so stop laboring under the false delusion as if they do.

Yes, everyone has the right to draw whatever they want, but I the need to question someone's sanity when such subject draws furries with diapers. I don't think it's healthy.

The troll is just having fun, and -doesn't care one single bit- about the opinion of someone like you. And the more you whine, the more they attack, it's how it works.

If those kind of idiots are more your kind of people, then maybe that's where you should be posting you anti-babyfur views at.

I'm not 100% in favor of trolls, some clog the website with senseless and overused spam. But I preffer to be associated with people who speaks whatever is on their minds without fearing any concequences, and point out the flaws, and know -what is right, and what is wrong-, and have a bit of a functional brain... rather than being associated with diaper furries like you.

Because when you get a job, and are working, people won't care if you side with trolls/Encyclopedia Dramatica/etc. It's an internet activity not meant to be discussed in public, and all is well. They don't need to know. Even if they find out about it, they won't have a clue of what is going on.
But when you're all happy with your newest diaper furry drawing, and show it to school friends or co-workers, or if they ever find it, then they will look down at you and ask if you suffer from a disease. Babies with diapers are fine, but adults with diapers? It's more of a fetish rather than a art form, and still, from all fetishes, it's one of the most absurd ones.

When you write a journal like this one, get prepared to receive opinions like mine. Because in all honesty, I don't think you have the right to talk about such things when you are what you are.

So yes, that is what I'm doing here: stating an opinion. I know I'll get some answers with diferent opinions, but it's how it works.

Now, concerning the furries...

Mind you, there are many awesome anthro artists out there, with potential to improve even more. Some draw porn or other explicit images, but eh. It's not big deal with that, and people like it.
But how is the furry community expecting to be respected when 80% of them are so closed-minded, refuse to hear other people's critique, yell "FURSECUTION!" everytime someone doesn't agree with them, and reject being considered as humans, dressing themselves with absurd furry suits.

The "Furries" are listed as a "subculture" in the Wikipedia, along with the Underground, Beatniks, Punks, etc. Yet I fail to see how can they be a subculture. AGAIN. <_< And with the current work overdose I'm having, and the comissions I have to finish (yes, I'm drawing little wedding and baptism invitation cards D: ), I'm thinking of delaying until December, since, for once, it seems I'll have decent Christmas vacations, with only one exam to study for. Yes, I hadn't decente X-mas vacations since... I came to college. Those days were spent either studying or finishing projects. So I'm expecting to have something decently done by then.

I'm going for a much more simpler layout, and bet more in Freehand vectorizations. Possibly make it more HTML rather than Flash-ish, so it will be more computer friendly. Might use a wider variety of red colors, and forget about the idea of keeping everything in the same 1000x500, at least for now. I don't have yet the knowledge to construct my own scrollers.

As for the website theme, I'm considering something inspired by the wall decoration from the "Mercado Negro" (Black Market) here in Aveiro. A sort of mural with semi-abstract constructions of black lines and drawings, cartoonish even. I think I'll redesign my own logo too. The Aisling Concept one will remain, but my own logo... I'm feeling like exploring something much more complex and attractive. And for some odd reason, I'm thinking about including bunnies.

Actually, might as well register a new domain, not based in "aislingconcept". Because Aisling Concept is a story, not exactly a Portfolio's name.

Hmm... any suggestions, guys? Or any worth portfolios to look at?

And great animations have been done in Flash, better than your pictures colored in computer with pixels from the paper still showing up, and not properly cleaned.
You'll be lucky if you work as a janitor in Disney... maybe then you'll witness the true artists in their offices, and see what is like to work hard and keep respect.
Your words are an insult to all those artists who sacrifice their time with art and work, waiting for their chance. Why would Disney hire someone like you, whose art is a bad example for young children?!

I better start from the beggining, when the chaos began, and there was lulz, they're crying, and we're amused at such drama.

Once upon a time...

One self-proclaimed "artist", who likes to draw horses. She draws in MS Paint. Ok, fine, lots of people do that, and I have seen youtube videos of people creating amazing pieces of work in MS Paint.
But this one "artist" wannabe likes to trace. There are proofs that her works are nothing but copies and recolors from screenshots of an animation movie. She picks up one single pose, and submits diferent version of the same, except with diferent colors, and thinks that is original. She exposed one tutorial of how she draws in MS Paint, demonstrating the creation of an original work (???), but she draws always the same think, with the same poor quality style, using photos from movies as backgrounds, and without improving any further than that.

If she likes horses so much, why won't she draw real life horses, instead of cartoonish ones? (same as Sonic fanartists drawing a real hedgehog for once, ahah). Show us works done with a pencil instead of a bezier tool, explore fields, and don't stick to the same damn thing.

We could suggest her this. But she'll say you're jealous, and block you.

We find "wannabe artists" like this creature once in a while. But you know what really leaves me with my jaw dropping, and amazes me with the highest levels of stupidity?

The fans.

You already know what happens when one wannabe "artist" with the ego of the size of the sun appears. Lulz time.
People who actually offered valuable critique were blocked and insulted. This brought more people to the scene, some ready to insult, some ready to be sarcastic, others still trying to call her to reason, but with no effort. I happened to be in the middle of them, watching this happen.

She happened to have one vast fanbase. Friends? I doubt, I preffer to call them "blindtards". People who worship her, and claim her art is as superior as the Mona Lisa. All from the same fandom, and with horrible recolors in their galleries too. People who don't know the diference between a dirty piece of paper and a sketch. Sorry, but, this is kinda true. I'm being rude, yes, but what do you want me to do, as an artist, when I witness this sh*t?

And many of you ask, why are these fans so fanatic, and so blind?

I have my theory.

I blame the lack of a very necessary education in society, especially about arts. Kids in school usually have those "Arts & Crafts" lessons, and the teachers could waste at least 30 minutes explaining to a classroom what is "art theft", and explaining the diference between tracing your own work, and tracing illegally other people's stuff. Because they come to the internet, and think everything belongs to them. They have no respect for other people's hard work.
I also support a new mandatory discipline for school: "Internet Etiquette".

Parents don't help much either. Sure the internet doesn't belong much to their generation, so it's something new to them, and they let their kids do whatever they want. And then, they protect their kids too much. Instead of saying "It's very good, you could color this a little better, want to try next time?" or "Nice, but you should try your own poses, not tracing over a picture", they say their work is awesome, and forget about critique. Yes, parents should be the first ones to critique their children. Sometimes is harsh, but to quote Calvin's father, "it builds character."

I remember when I was 6 years old, and the teacher would send us as homework a copy of a text, and draw a picture related with the text. And the easiest way for my friends was to trace over the book, and then color. I began doing that, but my parents imediatly told me "Don't trace! It's simple, just comment on this journal with one of your drawings, and I'll give my honest critique about it. I'll try to be as fair and impartial as possible.

I'll take in account that the artist drew this in a airplane trip XD
While lineart could use a better work, I can't find much problems with the anatonomy. Sure, a small error here and there (maybe the head looks too small, imo, but then again, quadruple creatures aren't my speciality), but in overall, it looks fine. As for the strips pattern, it's rather unique, but I would like to know if adding gems is necessary to this character.
If the artist ever has the chance to redo this drawing, I'm sure it will come out much better.

Anatonomy is one big issue here. With her head, hands, and hips. Looking at women references would be nice in order to improve here.
Lineart is could, would suggest trying diferent "heights" of line, while coloring, it's a simple one, but it's like there's no defined source of light. I do like the white shades in black clothes, and I'm not noticing any abuse of burn/dodge tools, which is a good thing.
Gun references should be taken in account too. :3 As far for the clothes design, it's just fine.

Wow, I can't really find anything wrong here. Maybe an issue with shading (source of light), but the rest is just all clean and lovely. While the idea of Sonic characters with wings (without being birds) can become cliched, this one outstands. Clothes design is unique, and I even like the background with the pink clouds (... D: it makes me wish I could make simple background like that so easily). Ah yes, wings are really a bit flat, could use more volume.
Also, I have been visiting this little artist occasionally, and I know her since a couple of years already. She's been improving in anatonomy and style, a lot. Kudos to you.

Concerning the infamous SA style, I would say it's an improvement, if we compare with the previous version of this drawing (this one is v2). This is one simple character, of a commum specie, present in the games, yet, this character manages to be rather unique. My only doubt concerns her left hand, and the way she's holding the scythe, since it looks like she's bending it (get bent! lol)
The way the SA style was applied in the hair could be better. Overall, it's a good picture we got here.

Subscription is almost ending. And I don't feel like buying/begging for one. Why? Because it's not worth to pay so much for a house in such bad neighbourhood and lousy conditions. That's all I have to say.

Also, I won't be posting anymore drawings in DA (except stamps, possibly). Just not worth it. For decent critiques, I have Conceptart and a recently created LJ community for that matter. All my drawings will now go into my website, as soon it gets ready, which should be soon.

Everybody is feeling like crap after what happened yesterday. Slightly better but I have to keep checking the gates in case my uncle comes post a new sign, or paint the walls.

I'm reconsidering the idea of making a website, exposing the truth about how retard my uncle is. While there's liberty of speech here in Portugal, making a website about someone, and calling him a thief and criminal can probably lead you to jail. I am not sure, but yeah, even if it's the truth, he can find the website, and call the police on me.

But I also can't just stand here, without nothing to do, watch everything come down, my mother calling lawyers and witnesses, and the rest of the family just feeling miserable. He can't get away with what he's doing. Many people here still think that my uncle is right, and that my mother is wrong, and are on his side, without knowing half of the story.

So... what should I do? Move on with the website, or let it pass?

Putting the case in a nutshell before I decide to take a break to write down half of the story of my life: several years ago, my mother was in deep financial problems (thanks to my daddy), and the only way to save her house, given to her by her own father (my grandfather, deceased), and her only option at the time is to pass the house to her brother. In papers, the house belongs to him, but in theory, the house still belongs to my mother.

Not too long ago, for reasons I cant recall now, my mother wanted to pass things down to my name. She wanted to pass several properties, the house, and other objects, to my name, until my brother hits 18. Now, he claims it belongs to him, just because he signed a paper. He made several menaces, being one of them of putting us out in the street once grandma passes away.

Today, mother received a letter. It's from the courts, I believe. Demanding them to leave the house. Eviction Order.

Teotonio, FUCK YOU. You used to be the "cool uncle" in the family. You're harsh, but you took good care of me while my mother was out in France. How come you changed so much?

Oh, wait. I know why.
It's because of that lovely wife of yours. Scum of second grade who was put out of the house by her own father, and thinks she has the right to the goods just because she's married with him. I could now follow with a list of swearing and cussing words, and they would still not be enough to describe you. Elsa, you won't get away with this. Burn in hell. You guys don't even let me approach my only family baby cousin.

Death menaces won't take me anywhere. And I know I don't have much power to fight against this situation, or against the absurd portuguese laws. I know my mother is not sane at times, but she's the RIGHTFUL OWNER of the house. Take it away from her, and it won't end there.

I still believe people like you will be punished one day.

With that said, the vacations I was expecting to be calm and relaxing, are promissing me a good portion of chaos and rage. I shall discloser more details about such family stories when I have more time. Oh, I love when such things happens during critical school times.

Updates on family drama.

What my mother received in the mail was a letter from my uncle's lawyer, demanding us to leave the house in 15 days. If we don't do so, he'll take the case to the courts. Given that the courts are slow in actions, and we're close to their summer break, this can take a while. But judging by how things are, there's a 90% chance we will lose the house... my uncle has heavy suport, people who we thought they're our friends are on his side, supporting his cause without knowing half the story.

My mother says "We're taking life normally", and continues taking care of her new restored gardens, but today, while she was taking care of them, my uncle and his wife passed close to the fence (they're neighbours), and laughed at her. My father doesn't help much (as usual), and my mother says she needs someone strong to get in the battle, but so far, the people she asked, most of them don't want problems with courts or anything.

... yeah, I'll have to be that someone.

I'm going to talk to him. I also requested my mother to give me all the details about this story. How it started, from the very beggining, when she had to pass the house to my uncle to avoid it from being taken by the courts, how he refused to give it back to her. I'll take note of everything (later, I shall post my english version here).

Blah, randomness. Removing the other journal.

The guys who aren't watching my LJ might want to know how have I been. Well, summer vacations are here, I completed my third college year, meaning that I can graduate next year.

I haven't been RPing so far. I check AeonRO and NSI forums occasionally, but not much. Guess I'm a little tired of communities and the drama they bring (especially when most of the times, I'm the one bringuing in the drama llama XD ). He... I really dont know if I should ever set my foot back in a community again. It can be very time consuming, particulary if it's RP related.

I'm a bit sad with the plot in AeonRO, mostly because I left, when I thought the necromancer plot was forgotten, but days later, they restarted it, when me and Errant had requested for a decent ending for it, which didn't happen. Instead, there are others continuing it, and so much for the final battle I wanted between S.J. and the one who I considered as the ideal nemesis for him. Yeah, I lost it, because I left, but it still leaves me sad that nobody reconsidered anyone from the original Aegis of Spirits to return and get one last shot.

NSI, I want slap the new mod with a fish. <_<
No really, he better get some priorities as a RP Mod straight, or things won't go so well with him. Attitude towards others needs to change a lil bit as well.

Guildwars, I want Factions ;_; I remade my characters, and now I'm praticing with my S.J. in PvP. Air Elementalists kick ass, I just need to keep my distance, and have a knight serving as a meatshield, so I can zap the enemies safely. Now, Assassins? Annoying little things, they keep sneaking behind me, and kick my Sora down in three hits. That, and we can only select 8 skills to use during combats, which, taking in account the extensive skills from an Elementalist, is not enough for me.

My characters so far, all PvP. I'll make a new RP character soon, whenever I get Factions:

According to lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County SheriffÂs Department, in Fayetteville, Ga., the deaths of WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel were the result of a double murder-suicide, WWE.com has learned.

Benoit failed to appear both at SaturdayÂs live event in Beaumont, Tx., and WWEÂs Vengeance: Night of Champions in Houston Sunday night, after informing WWE of a family emergency. Several curious text messages sent by Benoit early Sunday morning prompted concerned friends to alert Richard Hering, VP of Government Relations for WWE, Inc. Hering, in turn, spoke with Fayette County sheriffs Monday, and requested that they respond to the Benoit residence to check on him and his family.

Authorities representing the SheriffÂs Department initially had a difficult time entering BenoitÂs new Fayetteville home Monday afternoon, which had been guarded by two large German Shepherds roaming freely around the property. Once authorities entered the residence, they quickly located the bodies of Benoit, Nancy and Daniel. WWE was notified of the discovery at approximately 4 p.m.

At 10 p.m. Monday night, Lt. Pope held a press conference in conjunction with Scott Ballard, the district attorney for Fayette County. The press conference officially ruled authoritiesÂ findings as a double murder-suicide from within the home.

WAGA, a FOX-owned and operated television station in Atlanta, reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son over the weekend, then himself on Monday.

The three bodies have been received by the Georgia Bureau of InvestigationÂs crime lab, in Decatur, Ga., where autopsies will be performed Tuesday morning. Toxicology reports will not become available for at least two weeks.

1. Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11?
Henry is just a kid, possibly 10 years old, so Katsuo would fit nicely in the job. He's quite cult, inteligent and serious.

2. Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?
Ashling is hot, yes. In battles. Her body has some notable curves, but she's more of a swordfighter, thus she can have such thin body, she needs muscles. Overall, she's pretty, I'm searching to give her a spanish look in her face. It fits her, with the strong eyebrows and serious eyes.

3. 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Ark, to describe her is to introduce a very long story. Looking like a 4 year old child, doesn't speak, and her reactions are unpredictable. Despite wanting to be sweet, she can actually bring some unwanted chaos. What would she ask Eternal, the wisest and most powerful of my characters (in his mid-thirties, in appearence)? Probably to let her keep her toy, "Genesis". I think Eternal would need to reflect very well about this, since it's his creation...
("Genesis" is a small object Ark often holds in her hands like a playground ball. More details about it soon)

4. What is or would be 9Âs favourite book?
Possibly Nostradamus' prophecies. Adorys is very found of cults, curses, and prophecies is her especiallity.

5. Would it make sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way round?
Ashling cussing at Katsuo? Not really, since Ashling and Katsuo preserve some respect towards each other. Although Ashling can actually swear in battle, but mostly in her own land language.

6. For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should S/He, They (Choose) share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
Soraya would probably freak out with Adorys living in the same house, since Adorys seems to like to scare people with death prophecies. Helena, on the other hand, she likes to party, and both girls would tag along nicely. Thing is, Soraya would need to bear with her son as well, Henry.

7. 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Ashling, Anya and Ark. Now that would be odd. I think Anya would try to drag the girls to a pizzaria, Ashling would just remain quiet and try to be the mature one in the group (read: babysitter), while Ark keeps pointing at the deserts list, and Anya has to say what are they exactly, to please the child.

8. 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens? Doubtfully this would happen, unless it's a videogame tournment. Although Onryou likes to challenge people for combats, he respects and cares for Helena like if a family member.

9. If 1 stole 8Âs most precious possession, how would she/he get it back?
*SNORTS* I laughed at this one. S.J. would most likely steal the "Genesis" from Eternal. To get it back... if Eternal is smart, luring the prankster with a bunny wouldn't be too hard.

10. Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both obtain what they most desire.

I'll be uploading the photos I took from RAW Live Event in Lisboa soon. Most of them are kind darkeish, but it was the only way to take decent photos from the superstars. It was good, very good. You could see some stunts were just for theatric purposes, but it was still enjoyable. I also have two combats recorded in video, but without sounds. My camera is for photos, not videos ._.

We got some good merchandising as well: my brother has a T-shirt, two bracelets and a trinket from the DX, my father has a DX keychain, and I also got a DX bracelet, a HBK t-shirt, and a WWE key strap (the kind you can put on your neck)

First combat was Eugene against Kenny, to warm up. More turned to the humorous side. Eugene won.

Following up, Chris Masters vs some old guy I didn't catch the name. That fellow won.

We had a Diva match, with Mickie James vs Melina. Melina won. And if you go to the WWE website, and check the photos from the second day of RAW in Portugal, ( [link]) you'll notice in one of Melina's photos, a kid trying to make his way in the direction of the diva, under the arm of a security in yellow shirt.

That's my brother.

Uh, forgot another matches: Carlitos vs Santino. Santino won. And Val Venis against Nitro. Nitro won.

Cryme Time steps in, with an handicap match versus The Great Khali. The big guy won (yes, he's as tall as he looks on TV, and my dad says he probably has appeared in a Agent 007 movie, wtf?)

We get Candice showing up during the intermission, to throw t-shirts to the public, and Victoria comming after her, for a nice cat fight.

Rick Flair and Jeff Hardy versus Lance and Murdoch. Best combat of the night, thanks to Jeff Hardy's stunts and Rick Flair's resistence and charisma. They won, of course. And I got to touch hands with Jeff Hardy while he was walking to the arena

Then, John Cena versus Randy Orton for the main event. I don't know how are things in USA, but the portuguese fans adore Cena, most of them at least, as proven by a board spreading close to the arena saying "Cena Sucks", before the show, and causing the public to burst in whistles.
I manage to make my way near to the ring entrance, with my drawing pad and pen ready. First I tried to call for Randy, but he moved out, defeated. Then came Cena. I called for him, and he gave me one of those, sweaty "Duuuuude... wha?" looks. I thought he was going to ignore me, but he ended up scribbling in my drawingpad, and giving it back to me. I'll confess, I'm not that great as John Cena fan, nor I like him as much as I like others, but DAMN I can't deny this was one worth birthday gift!

Prices

Now, here's the hard part. Hopefully these prices are a bit more fair than what I used to have. Prices are in euros, but it's not hard to find a dollar-euro conversor in ther google.

- Sketch of single character (choose between pencil or computer made with tablet) : 2~3 euros, depending in character's appearence.

- Inked of single character: 5 euros

- Vector lines (aka inking style in Freehand) of a single character : 5~6 euros

- Colored character: Between 7~20 euros. Will depend in the character's appearence, coloring, etc.

Per each aditional character:
* Sketch or inked: + 2 euros
* Colored: + 1 euro

Extras:
* Wallpaper style: + 1~2 euros
* Send a print (or hand made drawing) by mail: + 5~10 euros , depends in the size and quality

Hopefully these prices are much more fair compared with my art quality so far. I accept payments via Paypal so far, I'll give the necessary information for such when requested.

I DON'T TAKE REQUESTS. Only for close friends, or in very special occasions.

ART TRADES. I'm not too fond of them, since about half the ones I did, I worked hard in my part, and never got anything in exchange. I can understand if they're out of time or busy, but it's a bit frustating. If anything, the only house rule I set here is that I only do art trades with people I watch.

Concerning the art theft in Bebo, some users have removed their images, but have yet to empty their photo galleries filled with stolen art. Given that most people are complaining bebo.com doesn't give a crap for stolen art, which goes highly against rules, I was wondering if it's possible to report them to some bigger entity in the internet. (Like... INTERNET POLICE?! OH NOES).

This is just one of those websites where one begins reading their comments, and slowly loses faith in mankind. I wonder how long it will take until I hear news of a massive /i/nvasion taking place?
Ahah, of course they wouldn't give a crap for Sonic fanart, but still, it's stolen art, it all comes down to the same.
No wonder I'm backing off from the Sonic fandom ._.' Too many fucktards, no offence. I'm currently exploring new games (More like, Studying and take 10 minute breaks to play!) like... If there's something to be said about Sonic "fantards" who recolor and trace other artists' work, is that when you catch one, you catch a hand full of them.

The person is trying (read: failing miserably) to change his character, but if you stare down at his Photo section, you'll find HUGE ammounts of art from Sonic artists, without being given credits or anything. Some have their watermarks, but others have no kind of signature to identify the real artists. Others are... recolors. Fucken recolors.

Now, take a look in that Friends list. Some require you to sign in to see them.

And, I'm not sure if I have been tagged or not (Sorry, I have not been aware to others' journals. Just too many of them), but it looks like it's the new fashion of telling 6 weird things/habits about you. So here are mine:

1- I -hate- listening to others singing. No, I really do, and whistling too. Don't ask me why, everytime I'm all fine in my corner doing something else, and I listen to someone pass by and singing, I feel like I want to crack their heads.

2- I like tiny tiny stuff. I preffered Polly Pocket over Barbies, until they increased their size. Then I stopped caring. I like to build a small village made out of tiny people, and using houses that had lights inside. Then I would turn off the lights, and watch my village glow.

3- Everywhere I go, I -must- have my scketchbook with me. I'm 90% of my time with my messenger bag, and whenever I'm in a waiting line, or just doing nothing, I pick it up and start drawing. The teachers do request us to make lots of drawings in our free time... problem is, I never draw what they want to see.
This gets to a point where my parents get annoyed, because I'm constantly making sketchs of everything, except what they want.

4- And speaking of teachers, as much as I love to draw and I want to keep improving, I -hate- drawing teachers. Only one teacher, from the 10th grade, managed to get my deepest respect for him. All others... pfft, some were ok, some were a pain <.<'

5- My frequent actions in the internet (msn, aim, irc) are throwing pillows, gnawing on peoples' shoulder, offer cookies, or tackle-glomp them.

6- I swear my plushie collection, especially my Sonic plushie (it has sentimental value besides being a character I love since childhood) will follow me everywhere I go.

Now I tag... well, I dunno who was tagged already, so, nyah!

Yeah, it's almost ending, and I just realized, I never changed my journal header and icons in one year ._.' I really should have made a better use of such functions.

Besides this, I'll miss the polls and being able to view deviantions from the DevWatch in a decent way. Unless someone pays me one <.<''' weeeeeeeell, I can give a request to the one who gets me a subscription. But I would need to get my USB ports fixed first. No scanner, no tablet, nothing X_x So it might take a while.

Just updating. Things are being so-so, still the economical crisis, classes have started (just had Marketing introduction a while ago. It rocks. Really), and the lack of a decent computer makes gamming, animation and art pratice a real pain.

One last word.

- A free hosting place with less ads as possible and unlimited bandwith. No pop-ups and maybe possibility of controling the ads (like specifing categories, and only have ads related to videogames, etc)

- A song. Not just any song. I need a kick-ass rock/techno song free for use. Something that can fit in a battle between two long-lasting young rivals.

- A name. I need a name for my website, and part of the design might be influenced by it. Two words at least, that can suit in the domain. The website colors are white (background) red and black, and it should be my portfolio, with character concepts, design projections and others.

- A new computer because this one sucks D:

Suggestions are strongly welcome.

Anyhoo, I was suposed to finish a comission here, but the usb port of this computer is not working (yes, I am in Aveiro, but only for more a couple of hours). I should be back in 11th September, and hopefully with my comission and art trade ready (yesh, Electra, check this out: [link] ). In the meanwhile, I have been thinking and making sketchs for my characters...
To the one who requested the comission, I had to redo it again. The version I sent you bothered me too much, and I made a new one, which is currently half-way in the vectoring process. And trust me, this one -does- look great. I hope you like it.

I hate when this happens...

When I draw something that looks great to me, I submit it, and then I go check other's art, and it's much better than mine.

>_< When the heck will I see the day when I can be confident that my art is much better than others?!

I have this comission, and I'm struggling to work on it, especially because I was already paid in advanced. I know I have the whole summer to do it, but the sooner, the better. But it's being a pain... The comission is suposed to be made in SA style (for those who don't know, "SA style" is what you call to the style of inking and coloring from the artwork of the Sonic Adventure series games). Is not style that bothers me, it's about the proportions! Either their legs are too big, or the head is too big, I'm even working on this with the SA2 manual right next to me, so I can check for body proportion references X_x I rarely do this!

*sigh* There's only one real artist who managed to do draw a SA style (with correct proportions) perfectly, and doesn't belong to Sonic Team, and it ain't me for sure.

Lines... also another huge problem. And image size. To make a good picture, it must have a huge size, something not possible with the laptop I'm working with X_X it lags it to the extreme! And I can't still make decent extra thin lines with the tablet...
._. I'll have to do with the vectoring...

Some advices, please?

I'll get the comission done soon (I hope), then my art trade with Electra... and then, time for a new DA ID <.<
