It's Holiday Time! This is for all of you watchers out there.

I really feel like spreading holiday cheer this year, and I have here one copy of the Adobe Master Collection CS3 for one lucky person this Christmas. If you already have it, then you know how awesome it is. This isn't a prank or a joke, or some crude way of sending a virus to you, it's just a present for any of you sadistic people ready to ask me. At the end of the drawing, I'm just going to write down your names, jumble them in a hat, and pick a winner.

So, who's it gonna be? Commenting below will enter you in the drawing. :3
And yes. It's free. Shipping and all.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the deadline will be Saturday, December 5th.

Also, if you're the winner, then I'm going to need your address. I'll let you know by private message.

If there's a lot of people that want to enter the drawing, then I'm already prepared to have 2nd and 3rd place winners, each with also awesome and unique prizes. But only if there's a lot. I don't like to see sad people during the holidays.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'll be posting pictures of my outdoor Christmas Decorations this weekend. My birthday's coming up next Friday, so I'll just be on a short break. Then, after finals, cosplay making! D:

In other news, December movies that are a must-see!

Fantastic Mr. Fox - Just finished watching it a couple hours ago. This may sound corny, but it is nothing but "quote on quote 'fantastic'".

Precious - It'll make you appreciate life a bit more, but otherwise a heartbreakingly awesome movie.

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland - It follows the "Through the Looking Glass" storyline more, but has elements of both books. In other words, Johnny Depp + Helena Bonham Carter = Awesome. Go watch it this Christmas!

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel - I only want to see this because of the chippettes. It brings back memories from the show.

Disney's The Princess and the Frog - I can't believe Disney is breaking their own race barrier. Should be good. I'm already waiting to see how Disneyland incorporates a new ride or attraction into Disneyland in the New Orleans Town area.

Don't watch any more embarrasing Dwayne Johnson movies. He has no dignity.

Rules:
1. Post the rules
2. Answer each question truthfully
3. Tag 3-5 people at the end

+++

1. What was your first cosplay? (Think hard on this)
Fail Tobi...My first cosplay was also the first one I've ever made, Hooded Tobi. I borrowed my friend's mask and took it all to school. It was just so bad...

2. Did someone get you into cosplay? Or on your own?
My friends went in cosplay to AX07. They tried to get me to do Kiba, but I was new to everything, so I became the photographer. Anyways, since he was one of the first cosplayers doing Tobi, he got a lot of attention. I couldn't help but notice this attention seeing as how I'm really vain and an attention seeker, so I decided to cosplay Tobi too.

3. What is your favourite cosplay?
Aang right now, but only because I have two cosplays. I have a feeling that my beast boy cosplay will be my favorite. Facepaint ftw!

4. Which is your least favourite?
Tobi. It's seriously getting repetitive for me and without the fandom, I think I'll be retiring next year. Also, there are WAY too many BAD Tobi cosplayers out there. I know I don't have the best mask now, but I made several before I perfected one mask which my friend currently has. I felt like I didn't need to go any further, since I proved to myself I could do it. No offense to all those other Tobi cosplayers, but I have yet to see another one that pulls it all off, including the hair.

5. At conventions, do people compliment you on your cosplays?
Only if I mention that I made it.

6. How many have you done?
I've made 5. 1st Tobi. Current Tobi. 3rd Season Zuko (for friend). Raver Tobi (yes. I've been improving it). and FN Aang. I'm working on Beast Boy right now for Halloween.

7. What are the top 5 on your list of "Want to Cosplay"?
1. Ganta from Deadman Wonderland
2. Sokka from Avatar the Last Airbender. (I was originally supposed to do him.)
3. Definitely want to attempt Gopher from Soul Eater by AX10
4. Wicked from 1/2 Prince
5. Fuery from Full Metal Alchemist (might happen since I'm being pressured into doing it)
6. I added 6 because I forgot about...shoot. I just forgot. Oh ya. I might do Danzo or 3 Jinchuuriki from Naruto.

8. (Girls only) What female cosplay do you want to do most?

9. What male cosplay do you want to do most?
hahaha. No (males only)? Gopher.

10. What do you prefer to do, make or buy your costumes?
Make. I love sewing. It's so relaxing when you have the time to do it.

11. Your most memorable experience? What makes it so memorable?
Oh geez. Definitely all of AX07. For reasons which confuse even me, I won't be telling them.

12. Your dream cosplay?
Something so incredibly epic that everyone knows and no one has ever tried.

13. Is there a pattern in your cosplays? If so, what? (Things like they have a certain personality, or hair colour)
Happy personality I guess. I want to do Gopher because of that face. :< Epic mouth. Also, he strays from the pattern.

14. Your most recent cosplay?
Aang..

15. What do you prefer? Cosplaying in a group or on your own?
Groups are win. WIN.

NOW TAG SOME PEOPLE!

etc etc

Like everyone else, I'm in need of money. D: (I'll get a job after these horrible midterms) So, I've decided to sell of of my painting crap and a few cosplay stuff. I love to paint but don't have the time to do it at all. Plus, my instructor was crap and didn't teach me anything. So I'm just going to stick with charcoal.

All items are single unless otherwise stated. I will send pictures if you ask for them and are seriously considering in purchasing.

Painting Accessories: (I don't know what to call these but they are a must)
2-Tray Art Bin
1 Metal Palette Knife
1 Quarter Jar of Fast Linseed Oil
1 Jar - Turpenoid
1 Jar - Water Mixable Fast Drying Linseed Oil
1 Bottle - Linseed Stand Oil
3 empty glass jars - 1 Large, 1 Medium, 1 Small
2 Squirt bottles - 1 for water, 1 for Linseed Oil
1 Roll Artists tape
1 All Purpose Sanding Sponge with different grain types on each side
2 New Medium Texture 16"x20" Standard canvasses

Brushes:
14 Assorted Brushes of various shapes and sizes.
At least two of Oval, Square, Round, and Fan brushes.
Some are used but most are new.

Paints: (All paints are practically unused except White and Black)
Indian Red
Permanent Alizarin Crimson
Cadmium Red Light
Cadmium Orange Hue
Cadmium Yellow Light
Cadmium Yellow Deep
Yellow Ochre
Phthalo Green (Blue Shade)
Viridian Green
Phthalo Cerulean Blue
Phthalo Blue (Red Shade)
Phthalo Cobalt Blue
Ultramarine
Dioxazine Purple
Raw Umber
Burnt Umber
Burnt Sienna
2 Ivory Black
Titanium White

I also have some Charcoal pencils and sticks, kneading erasers, chamois cloths, chalk pastels, freaking awesome artist pens, 1 tackle box, and some other crap I'll throw in if you buy EVERYTHING (from the art section).

COSPLAY STUFF: (again, I'll send pictures for quality checks)
1 High Collar Akatsuki Cloak
1 Hooded Akatsuki Cloak (Can be used for Team Taka or for evil Tobi)
3 Tobi masks
1 Funk Madara Mask (I won't be cosplaying him anytime soon)

I saved all of my receipts for all of my purchases including fabric, thread, patterns, paint, clay, papercloth, foam, elastic, etc. I know how much everything costs, but I'm not a douche and will sell them for higher or the same prices. I love haggling (lol), so I'll cut you a few deals if you can talk the prices down based on any things you don't like about the items like quality, broken or not, something that needs to be sewed back on or fixed. I've compared prices to eBay and other retailers. I'll only send you estimates if you're serious about purchasing. You can either pick them up from me, or if you're far away, I'll post the whole lot on eBay. (the Shipping costs will be ridiculous though, and I don't want to deal with the packaging, so I'll bump up the prices).

It was small and calm, but still pretty fun for a day. There was hardly anything there so I saw everything in about an hour.

My day started at 8:30am when I woke up and got ready to go. I decided to put my cosplay on at the con to avoid any questions from my family. After picking up my friend, we headed down to Long Beach and made awesome time. Google Maps said 31 minutes. We made it in 20. We arrived around 9:30 without any problems so far, but we ended going to the wrong entrance at first. Apparently, the Convention Center was also playing host to the Harvest Festival. So there were a lot of old Christian people in suits there. We headed back to the right entrance and got our tickets and free swag.

After scoping out the entrance lobby for cosplayers (just to assure myself I wouldn't be the only one), my friend and I headed back to my car where I changed into my full Fire Nation Aang cosplay. (Does that answer it Marimokun?) We headed back to the con and entered the exhibit hall. I got asked for a few pictures here and there while exhibitors were setting up. Not much was going on, since it was still around 10:30am. I hadn't gotten anything yet since I left my wallet in my car in order not to spend anything. Big mistake. I saw quite a few things that interested me that I vowed to buy later. Among the things that caught my eye was a porcelain Beast Boy figurine. (lol) After walking aimlessly around and checking out the panels for an hour, my friend and I decided to get lunch around noon. But first, I needed money.

We headed to my car again and I decided to take off the bottom layers. It was perfect weather with a slight breeze and the convention center had the AC to full blast, so there was no need for warm clothes. (Even when it's fall, it's still Summer in California.) Got my money and headed to CPK (California Pizza Kitchen). If you've never gone there, you should definitely think about it. I used to go a lot before the economy. It's funny how most of us will know what "economy" means when used in this context. Why am I typing all professional and junk? :\

We entered CPK and immediately, our host does this weird fanboy squeal and asks "OMFG ARE YOU FIRE NATION AANG!?" I replied with a yes and our host continues with the show. "OMG. Avatar is like the best show ever. I knew you were Fire Nation as soon as I saw you walking across the street." I'm glad that even without blue arrows, I can make a non-congoer freak out like that. He seated us right behind him after that. We had an awesome Carne Asada Pizza and water, and the entire meal ending up costing us $15 dollars combined. XD So inexpensive! After we got in, about 50 people showed up a few minutes after us (most from the Harvest Festival). The servers got a little overloaded, and we had to wait awhile for our check to be collected. I know what it's like to be a waiter so we left a 30% tip.

We headed back to the convention center to check out the Robot Chicken panel. Unfortunately, it was full and the fire marshal was there to tell us all to eff off. :\ We were sad but we headed back to my car to get my arrow paint. Putting those arrows on took us over and hour, but we killed a lot of time that way. We went back into the exhibition hall, bought some stuff, got a few more pictures and a lot of shoutouts from con-goers, but what was really cool (and freaky at the same time) was this family that was following me throughout the exhibition hall. The kids were definitely saying "See, it is the avatar. I saw his arrows" to their moms. I know they wanted a picture that entire time, but I think they were first time con-goers and didn't know how to ask, and headed back upstairs for the Peanuts panel. It was the first time in 25 years that any of the voice actors from the 1980's Peanuts run had seen each other, so they were really happy. It was the voice actors for Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Sally. During the beginning of the panel, all 3 of them kept looking at me, which made me think "wtf are they looking at me for?" When I remembered that I was in cosplay...total fail on my part. After the panel, we left (obviously) and the Robot Chicken panel was leaving too. We waited by the exit and Seth Green came out and waved at us.

After that bit of awesomeness, we basically just walked around some more until we left at 7:00pm. More pictures, more shoutouts, and after all this time the family I was talking about before finally asked for a picture with me. XD After that, I went home.

Long story short: It was good.

Update on my swine flu:

Since Thursday, my temperature has spiked way above and fallen way below normal. I have this insane cough that makes me just want to blow my brains out to stop them. And chills. They drove me mad. But I've been getting better since Sunday. Sunday was the first day I didn't have a fever, so I decided to go to school the following day. Big mistake, again. I feel even worse. So here's a list of things to watch out for if you catch the swine flu too.

Temperature spikes: 99.8F - 103.1F or 94.3F - 96.6F
Those were my normal temperatures almost 24/7 from Thursday to Saturday. These
temperature spikes are good to some degree. It means that your body is trying to
stabilize (which it did thankfully) rather than when you first get a fever,
whose purpose was to fight an infection by killing bacteria and viruses with heat.
Cough
This is the thing that will last for two weeks or something. Sometimes it's a dry
cough or sometimes it's flemy. As long as the flem is clear, then there is no
infection. Coughs are just your body's way of ridding itself of viruses in your
throat, so make sure to cover your mouth.
Chills
If you have the chills, do not cover yourself or attempt to make yourself warm.
It means your body is trying to get outside help to warm up to kill the viruses,
but most of the time, you already have a fever. It could push your temperature
past the limit, doing damage to your body and brain.

Other stuff you should do. Don't eat seasoned stuff. No fat, salt, sugar, or anything too strong. No coffee, smoking or alcohol obviously. Carry around some rubbing alcohol or anti-bacterial stuff wherever you go.

So to round it all up. I'm feeling better. Thanks for the well wishes guys.

In other news, my dad randomly brought home a giant desert tortoise today. o_o We're babysitting it for a week, but my dad said he asked us if we would want to over a year ago. wth? Oh ya, and even though I can't do my detox this week, I actually lost a little bit under 11 lbs from Wednesday to Sunday. Wow. That's cool, but at the same time scary.

Yep. On Wednesday, I just happened to contracted Swine Flu. I felt fine before the afternoon, when I started getting headaches and back pain. By the time I got home, I was so tired, that I slept for 5 hours. I started having the chills and a slight cough, but luckily no fever yet. Now it's Thursday, and I had a confirmed case of Swine Flu. The H1N1 influenza virus...It finally got me. This morning, I had a temperature of 103F. I haven't had a fever since I was 7 years old and developed rheumatoid arthritis as a side effect of Streptococcus (aka Strep Throat) and scarlet fever at the same time. o_o No one should ever have to take an ice cold bath. D: Twice. I confirmed it when I went to my doctor's office and they had a sample analyzed in diagnostics. Bleh.

Symptoms:
Hacking cough
Chills
Muscle Aches
Headaches
Runny Nose
Spurratic Fever
Sometimes Sneezing
Sore Throat
Fatigue

The irony of this is that today in Biology, we were supposed to be learning about viruses. The main topic would be Swine flu. IRONY!!!

Some more rant too. I was going to start a two week detox for myself, and either the same weeks or a week after I was finished, I was planning on going back to the gym. D: Now that's been pushed back. Hopefully I get started on it before December. Oh well. At least I have Fringe to look forward to tonight.

EDIT:

Thanks for all of the support everyone. Hope none of you guys have to go through it.

Wish I could've gone to so many things at the same time. Wish that I could've just taken pictures all day.

Got complimented by Bryan Konietzko for my hair. "Wow, he even has the hair." XD

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My day basically started like this.

After finishing some final touches on my shoes and grabbing whatever I could for my cosplay, I headed to the Fullerton train station at 7:30am. It's a 2 hour trip to San Diego but that's the earliest train Amtrak had. There were hardly any seats so I sat next to a person who was drawing, so I thought she might actually be going to comic-con. After sitting down, I knew almost instantly that she was because of America cosplay in her backpack! XP She didn't think anyone would recognize her but I have an eye for these things. Coincidentally, almost everyone on that morning commute was going to San Diego for Comic Con! Epic scenery got boring (the Pacific Ocean doesn't go anywhere apparently), so I tried to paint the arrow on my head, but that was fail. I ended up getting help from later on. I figured out that I had forgotten my yellow wristbands for my cosplay after passing Oceanside too. :C

When I first saw the convention center, I was a bit overwhelmed. o_o That place is gianormous man! I got lost looking for the freaking registration place so I just went with the flow. Got in line for the autograph ticket drawing at least 3 times before I got a winning ticket. I wasn't in cosplay yet so I didn't bother saying hello to anyone except Cabbage Merchant from AX. When I finally got my winning ticket, I ran to the nearest restroom to change. Quick changes are always bad and I spent all of 5 minutes doing a crappy arrow on my forehead. Took one trip through the exhibition hall, but didn't buy anything. Again, I was super overwhelmed from just looking at all the booths and everything. I wasted 45 minutes looking for the gathering before running into a Kyoshi Warrior Suki and just sticking with her. Met up with the Boulder from AX and finally found the gathering. A Jeong Jeong was waving a white lotus society flag shouting "Old People Camp!" XD Took a few gathering pictures, but didn't finish because Mike and Bryan showed up! This is the part where I got complimented on my hair. No smileys can express my happiness there. Went to the autograph signing afterwards. I thought I lost my ticket but they ended up being in my OTHER pants. That always seems to happen to me. Got a poster I bought at AX signed. I still don't know who the artist is because she didn't have any cards left. I completely forgot to take another pic with Bryke. D: Went back to the gathering spot and finally realized who the great bending choreographer was, Sifu Kisu!!! Hung out some more there for what felt like forever before deciding to get some food. Outside, saw me and we hung out some more with the awesome people in . I was going to have dinner with them, but I had to leave early to catch my train. Almost missed it because it left early due to full capacity.

I missed the Fringe Panel, but that was okay. After all that, I didn't have any regrets.

I'll have to add more people in here as soon as I find out who they were.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crazy Awesome People I met!

<img class="avatar" src="http://a.d...

I'm so lazy! I almost waited a full week to updated this. Don't bother reading if you don't want to. I'm a horrible journal writer.

K, Here we go!

Day 0: So picked up my friend, Chase , from his house at 12:00pmish. He said his goodbyes and we high-tailed it out of there. We basically hung out at my house while we were finishing our cosplays (I still hadn't finished yet o_o). My dad planned on leaving at 1:30pm but he got home at exactly 1:30pm so he took a break before we left. Then my friend John called asking if we could pick up his badge and stop by his house to get his receipt. > As if...so he asked if we could wait 10minutes for him to drop it off, but it only takes 5 minutes to get to our house from his. It took him 20minutes to get to my house, so that pushed our departure time even further back. Then we got onto the 5fwy. ...The 5. My new greatest enemy. We waited on that thing for 3 hours, and finally decided to go down side streets. In good traffic, it'd only take 30-45min to get to L.A. I don't know why I'm going into great detail, but I'm pretty sure that by the end of this journal, each day will get fuzzier and fuzzier. Got to the Westin. Checked in, went to room, sat down, friend Chris came, got up, opened door. Headed down to LACC, waited in line forever, saw , got badge, waited for Chris, waited some more, headed back to the hotel, saw a Monster (the beverage) truck pull over because their cargo was leaking, got free Monsters , they tasted like shit. D: Ran into Serena and crew and they totally ignored Chase. lol Went back to the hotel and got ready for the morning.

Day 1: If you're reading this entire thing, I swear it won't be like Day0. There's nothing to talk about in Day 0. Day 1 was basically just Tobi cosplay all day. Ran around and stuff. We didn't get up till 10am so we came when there weren't any ridiculous lines. Amy showed up in her Riza cosplay and she and her boyfriend John (yep the same John) got a hella lot of pics taken. They were the first Riza and Roy cosplayers of the morning and one of the only three pairs that showed up at AX. There was another Riza and Roy couple that we saw on Day 3, but then the Roy left and Riza started making out with the Winry right next to her. More details later lol. They immediately took a pic with voice actor Vic Mignogna. More things happened and I just hung out with last years AX crew. Day 1 was really boring and slow. Nothing seemed to be going on.

Day 2: Day 2 was probably the best day of AX. Cosplayed as Aang all day until the Naruto Dinner at 6pm. The arrow was a pain to do in the morning since I bought cheap clown paint. John cosplayed as third season "good" Zuko and his scar was even more of a drag. It came out really good but the joke was that we figured out why Zuko was so angry every morning. cosplayed as Toph. Once we got into the exhibition Hall, I think we were pulled over by one of those photographer booths, had several awesome pictures taken, but could only pay for one. That's the one of us jumping. We walked around some more, bumped into in her awesome Chibi Appa cosplay and in Fire Nation Suki cosplay. We talked for all of 2 seconds when we got mobbed by photographers. More of them kept coming so we had to countdown. Poor Appa. It was probably super hot in there. We moved like 5 feet when we were stopped again. This happened 3 more times and I think we only covered 15 feet before we started running away. Walked around some more. The...
