I copied this from a journal by *Yeldarb86 because I feel that it is very very important.

Remember the Dr. Seuss story "Hotron Hears a Who"? Horton the Elephant takes care of a small world called Whoville, acknowledging its existence in spite of its size. ("A person is a person no matter how small".) Only when their world was in danger, from the non-believing animals of the jungle, all of the Whos of Whoville had to shout at the top of their lungs together:

"WE ARE HERE! WE ARE HERE! WE ARE HERE!"

So such is being done with cartoon fans across the United States, as one of their most beloved cartoon outlets on cable television is in danger of extinction from incredibly inept management.

For those who haven't noticed, Cartoon Network has underwent a serious decline over the past several years. They have stopped showing nearly all of their classic cartoons. They dropped their "Cartoon Cartoon" label from their original programs. Their logo change is now a less versatile one.

In fact, the network more recently seems to be evading its own cartoon brand. They have been showing live-action movies since 2005. Fewer new cartoons are being ordered. Cartoonstitute, a relaunch of their What a Cartoon! Show was cancelled. Dozens of animators, some of whom had made CN their home for their entire careers, are finally being shown the door, including veteran Craig McCracken.
And now this summer, they have launched a series of reality shows under their "CN Real" label, using an aggressive advertising campaign to promote them.

Worse of all, the management has shown complete lack of respect for their own audience. They have already reduced CN from an all-ages network to one aimed squarely at kids. But even kids across the board know that something is wrong. As recent ratings indicate, they're definitely not buying into any of the new reality shows, as if there aren't enough of them elsewhere.

Yet despite all that, the management has chosen to stay the course, with a line of drama series coming out soon.

Common sense should tell that this is an incredibly horrible business practice. When people aren't getting what they want, their attention shifts elsewhere. (Disney learned that the hard way twice.) This summer, people would rather watch SpongeBob on Nickelodeon, or Hanna Montana on The Disney Channel over any recent offerings on Cartoon Network, with even their top animated shows being affected by the overhead disease.

And it's not like they're not aware of their angry audience reactions they're getting. Yet their answer is a crummy music video promoting the CN Real programs. (The video was initially removed from YouTube after getting over 600+ negative responses, but has quietly resurfaced in further defiance to the feedback.)

The cherry on top of this ice cream disaster is a lingering rumor that a name change for the network might be on the horizon, effectively abandoning the "cartoon" label.

This is mad serious, folks. Consumers are being ignored. Television is on a fast decline, with cable's niche networks taking the biggest beatings. People have already given up hope for redemption.

I'm encouraging everyone to do several things:

1) Those who have Facebook join this group. [link] Get as many people as possible to join.

2) Do NOT tune into any of the CN Real shows. If the ratings stay low long enough, they're bound to go away.

3) Keep up with latest developments at Cartoon Brew. Jerry Beck and Amid Amidi talk about the network frequently.

4) START WRITING LETTERS. This is extremely important! We already know that the Cartoon Network management isn't listening to consumers, so it's time to take it a step higher.

It's Alanal and another varke, which is strange, because I don't think Alanal's met another varke. Well, he prolly has - but not one anywhere near as powerful as him. Yeah, there we go.

Alanal lounges on the big white easy chair, running his fingers over the silky fabric. A dreamy smile plays on his lips while he chooses his words. "Why, you ask? Why do I... 'manipulate and decieve' these countless innocents?" His eyes glint in the firelight that casts half of his long face in shadow, sending a chill down the other man's spine. "It's simple, really. They want a god. Heh. They want, need something to cling to and follow after mindlessly. It's endearing. And so satisfying. Have you - well, of course not... but have you seen a person's eyes after they've found something they think they connect with? The way they sparkle? Some even weep...", Alanal says as he closes his eyes, still caressing the fabric of the chair he so imperiously relaxes on. "It's supply and demand. They demand rules to live by and a place to pour their hard-earned money and, well, I'm only too happy to supply. If that nets me a steady stream of souls in the process, then it's a win/win all around, eh?"

The other scoffs, turning away. "What do you do with the evidence? You can't keep all those bodies in this cave. The smell would be atrocious!"

Alanal snorts, smirking that cursed little smirk. "Did I mention we eat like kings?"

The other man turns back to Alanal, a mildly disgusted look on his face. "And your followers have no objections to this? Ha. They're as insane as you are."

"Please. Only the six living with me ever partake in those little... rituals. And they're completely loyal. Most of the fodder are dumped in the wilderness or incinerated. You wouldn't belive the sort of connections I've got in this racket. This rather posh little section of my home shows you that, hm?"

"When'd you come up with all this?"

Alanal thinks for a while, fingering the worn medallion around his neck. "I suppose I first thought it up on a hunt. ...A saucy little thing she was, delicious- ", he licks his lips, "anyway, before she went, she called me the 'coming of death' or something similar. It started wheels to turning, you see, and before I knew it, I was masquerading around as some divine messenger. Those were the days. ...Now I just sit around like a fat evangelist raking it in", he laughs.

The other man chuckles politely, preferring to stare into the fire than hear one more word from the cad on the white chair. *blahblahblahtheend*

I'm sorry, but it's terrible. I really wasn't trying to get your hopes up. I wasn't trying to yank the rug out from under you, or to get attention. I shouldn't have said anything.

It was written for people who know me, and know my characters. Does the name Alanal ring a bell to a single one of you? xD Niloein? Dyranygal? I mean, the names don't even look pronouncable to you, probably. Imagine the hardship of trying to read through the thing with names like that.

I really don't think anyone cares enough to learn, anyway.

Well, I'm sure a few do, and I thank you for that. I'm sure the rest of you simply don't have the time. Maybe I'll draw some pictures.

I feel very emo.

The whole thing's just short and stupid and not going anywhere anyway. I'm sorry I wasted your time. Maybe I'll try later, if I ever feel like writing again. I suck at it. Too grandiose. I come off as pretentious and it's embarrassing to read.

With such a fragile self-esteem, I couldn't really take anything but incessant praise on this project. So I won't release it. At least not in this mood.

I wouldn't be surprised if I had a change of heart and released it tomorrow. Ho. I suck.

Hopefully you don't hate me. But, I mean... it's not satisfactory and it never will be. I guess writing's just not my thing. It's like everything else I can do. I'm good at alot of things. Here goes.

The first thing I remember is me and my mom looking out the door, the screen door to my house. My mom didn't look like my real one, she was in fact Mina Murray of Dracula fame, but in this dream she was my mom. o_O

We watched a fat kid (sorry, just being honest) walking down the street towards our house when ALL OF A SUDDEN this... CREATURE bounded out from behind my field of vision (from behind the house) AND TOOK DOWN THE KID, like tackled him, and lifted him away, running down the street till I couldn't see him anymore. The creature in question, I knew, was Miss Lucy Westenra in Vampire form. It would remind you of the vamp brides in Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman, but without the wings and a little darker. I was giving a look of horror, but for some reason, I wanted to follow the creature to the side of my house... I wanted to e that thing, whatever it was...

Anyway, Mina was smiling as she exited the house and went after the creature, Lucy. At this point, my dog escaped through the crack in the door. My dog is small, but ferocious to strangers on his turf, and my family is always wary of him getting out without a leash, so I ran after him. But I knew, I knew Dracula was just out of reach, and that was who Neo (my dog) was going for. I was screaming, "Neo! Neo! No! Don't hurt him!" cos I kept getting this horrible visual of my poor baby getting curbstomped by Dracula. Finally, I was face to face with all three vamps, Dracula, Mina, and Lucy, and I scooped Neo up and ran away. (It may be worth mentioning that when Neo got to Dracula, he calmed down immediately, and Dracula petted him. I still was scared of Neo getting hurt.). I ran into a sideways fire extinguisher thing that stuck out of a side of a van parked in front of our house, and I thought I hurt Neo, but he was okay. While I ran, I heard Dracula and Mina talking. Dracula was angry for me running away, he called me the b-word and I heard Mina say something in my defense, but I don't remember it right now. I wanted to yell out, "I'm sorry, I'll be back!" but I didn't. It strikes me as odd I would want to let them know that. Quickly, I dumped him (my dog I was carrying) inside the house and ran back outside.

So I came back around my house (they were farther around the side than before, behind the house) and I saw Mina in her vamp form gnashing her teeth. She was yellowish, like a white yellow that reminds me of the cheese at Subway. She didn't scare me... she was far away and I knew she was just doing it because.

So I was approaching the brick wall of my house (which is funny, cos we live in a trailer. It's a nice trailer, but dreams take super artistic license with locations... lol). So Mina (who is my mom, remember... and also magically over here and not in vamp form... it's a dream you guys, so sue me) has this bottle of something... it's a yellowish liquid, it would remind you of dark Pinesol. It was in a small plastic container with a clear portion (that's how I saw the color). She was saying, "Come here, come here" in a very soothing yet mildly annoyed voice, like how a mom might comfort a 5 year old who's afraid of clowns and has just met Ronald McDonald. Also, I noticed Lucy on the wall, in a sort of alcove, with her arms crossed corpse-style, and this creepy grimace... like her lips were gone. Dracula was tending to her. So anyway, I backed up against the wall, leaned on it, and she sprayed the stuff on the side of my face, on my ear. It stung where my ear was pierced, and kindof tingled and numbed all the other parts. I was getting sleepy fast. She petted my head and told me to tell them when I woke up. I nodded, and tried to crack a joke. I pretended I was asleep for two seconds and then pretended I woke up, like "Oh! Oh, there we go, I'm different now" and I smiled a cheesy smile. I don't know if she laughed or not because I fell asleep like two seconds after that.

Then my memory jumps to me entering the house on all fours. I was one of these creatures. I was lanky and dark grey with lighter grey unders (underbelly etc) and darker grey spots every once in a while. Ahhh, get ready for a lot of shiz you don't care about, btw. Just warning you from wasting your precious life. ~

Uhhh my characters are just different parts of me and my life, apparently. And it makes sense. So much sense it's scary.

I'm an open book I guess, from Grego's being a test dummy for my "repressed" emotions to Menesal being a certain corrupting influence to Djeid's death/my fading hate towards Asja representing my fear of growing up.

Makes sense why I think of them as my children. Ahhh they are me, apparently! D; That's why I'm so distant to emotions... I route them through my characters, allowing me to express them in my own retarded and fking insane speshul way.. D: WOW.

It's really amazing. I mean. Can you say mind boggling?

Go ahead, ask me about one of my chars - I'll tell you what I heard about them and their meaning.

Oh God, it makes me think of Silent Hill and the nurses and all that snexy symbolism..

And the reason I'm being so slow on trades is I'm not connected to any of those characters? AHHHH I used to know an artist with the same thiiing. And, y'know, I'm very lazy. Mostly it's the lazy part. I think. Also why I hate art class, even though I love to draw. OMarfG.

Well, it's not like she's the poster child for gluttony, but a queen should eat pretty well.

Sjiàtzibrad. It's... like tiny meat cubes dunked in salt and drizzled with a sour juice. Sounds good, eh?

Some sort of fancy garran wine, I dunno.

Oh... I don't think so.

Yes, yes indeed. Dormnd lovers her in a way... Sedj would be a rather fine husband for her... and, as I said, her people just can't get enough of her.

Yes, indeed-y. By conspiracy nuts and... oh, um, her bastard-child, Grego. Did... did I forget to mention him?

15. Is she/he emo/goth?
No. Psh. Well, I mean, she's kindof emo over her dad, Lio. Her mother, Feana, killed him. When she was like, 8. That's gonna leave emotional scars, mm?

16. Is she/he straight, bisexual, or gay?
Oh... she's not... restricted to... a single... um... hmm...

17. Is she/he a virgin?
Well, she has a kid, so...

Ruling the world, being a witch with a capital B, having "fun" with Dormnd...

Not... really... she's a queen with issues.

Oh god, yes. I love her. She's SO pretty. Like a scarlet-haired bombshell.

Prolly not very well. I think there'd be a lot of clawing going on.

Um... no.

23. Does your character overreact?
Prolly sometimes. I mean, she kindof wants to kill Grego so he doesn't taint the Denviradi line. Course, she totally forgot about him... pretty much.

24. Is your charcter a criminal?
Naw, not really.

25. Does your character go to school?
Nope, not anymore. Full-grown adult. Probably used to be homeschooled, anyway.

26. What's his/her IQ?
She's very smart. Just... amazingly capricious.

27. Does your character have a desease/curse?
Uh, no... but the Denviradis have this trait (well, a lot of Yndas do...) where, instead of fangs, their teeth are kindof the same size all around, getting smaller towards the back. Meaning she doesn't have fangs like most (all) garrans. There's another trait associated particularly with the Denviradis and sometimes with select other idividuals... um, they kindof have iguana spines runnning down the backs of their tails. The spines are usually a dull color the same hue as their skin, and can stick up or lay down flat. They cannot be flexed back towards the base of the tail, though, so they only point forward/up.
