As for the art project dilemma, I'm going to work on my normal art and woodcarving on the side, and for now concentrate a bit more on Starless Universe. What I'm going to put the most effort into though will be my bunneh clothing line. I'm making a lot of progress with it and I know it'll work out well. As for my art... I'm progressing on it, but I haven't had nearly enough time to focus.... but I need your opinion on some stuff, and I'll make a poll about it also!
The thing is, I need to concentrate on one project at a time, for the most part, but I don't know which one to concentrate on! I either need to concentrate on my comic, Starless Universe, and at least get volume 1 out there... or first I need to concentrate on drawing dementedly cute cartoon bunnies I've been drawing lately and turn that into a clothing line somehow... or I need to work on my woodcarving and furniture making... but I don't know what to do! It's fun here, I'm enjoying myself. Well, enjoying myself when I'm not being completely miserable. XD I have a cold... why would I have a cold in hot and sunny Texas, you ask? Because I'm still living in a cramped 1 bedroom apartment with 6 other people, one of which is a 4 year old who caught a cold first, and who loves me and therefore clings to me, sneezes on me, coughs on me, and wipes her nose on me regardless of how many times I try to teach her not to. -__-; Oh joy. So... yay me. To fix this situation though, I went to the Asian supply store and bought spicy rice noodles, "extra hot" hot mustard (it's from Dynasty brand, and actually it's not very hot at all. I put over a tablespoon into whatever I'm eating and it doesn't kill me) and I'm eating other spicy foods, plus I bought some menthol liquid stuff there that is helping also.
Probably the most difficult thing about being here is that I came from living in a log cabin in the mountains, so it is relatively quiet outside, and in a home with only one other person and a dog in it most of the time, so relatively quiet inside also, plus I could always escape to my room with the fan on in order to obtain a feeling of silence... but here, the TVs are always on. No joke. Well, at night time one of the TVs gets turned off, but the other one is kept on. Plus, there is the 4 year old always talking, whining, making random noises, etc., and a twelve year old who is similar in many ways.. and the arguing, yelling and talking of a few of the others who live here. Long story short- it is never quiet here. Well, I think it was quiet one morning for about half an hour. It was incredible... but, other than that, there is always noise. Constant noise, and a lot of it is negative. It's very difficult to go from the quiet and peaceful environment I was in before to a loud, obnoxious and negative environment like I am in now.
Buuuuuut, I can deal with it. I'm just hoping we get jobs ASAP so that we can go our separate ways and Miah, his 4 year old and myself can get our own place. That way I'll have quiet a lot more often.

In other news, it's almost `MurkHellsing's birthday!!! Give him lots of love! And fanart.

In MOAR other news... I want chocolate.


OH, lol, and to actually get to the subject that I started this journal with... seashells and fishskulls! There are lots of awesome seashells here, I'm loving collecting them. Plus, we found a really cool fish skull, although we haven't identified the fish it belongs to yet. Anyway, whenever I can remember to buy batteries and stick them in my camera to take pictures, I'll get pictures of it and upload them here, along with other pics.
Oh, and I've been doing more art also, but I forgot to pack along my scanner... so I'll have to wait to upload them for when I can use Miah's mom's scanner and such.

So much can happen in just over 10 days! I looked at my last journal entry which was on the 20th of March. My life has changed so much since then!

1) I have a really great relationship with an awesome guy. (Yes, I know I said "No committed relationships please!" so I'm still dealing with that issue, but he is really great) Plus, I loooove his family to pieces, so that's always a good thing. And he has the most fun 4-year-old girl I've ever had the pleasure of associating with. She's active and super-hyper all the time, I adore her and she's so much fun to play with!

2) Said guy and family are moving to Texas in about 9 days... and I decided to go with them! Travel, get away from the area I'm in, and being with people I really like... plus, I'll be right on the Gulf of Mexico, so WATER! PALM TREES! YAY! Everyone else is also very excited about dolphins being there, which is cool too. XD I'll be staying there until July or August and then returning back home to live and travel with Murk, unless he decides to stay in New Zealand with his extremely cute girlfriend Maddie, then I'll probably stay in Texas for longer. Either way, I'll be in for a fantastic year!

What are some suggestions of things to take to Texas with me? Or things to do down in Texas? Any ideas?

Billy's Balloon reminded me of something, actually... when I was younger I was in Smith's grocery store and walked past their balloons on my way to the produce... well, one of the balloons, a purple one, followed me. It ended up following me about 6-15 feet away throughout the entire store. The cashier just let me have it since it was so strange. XD It followed me out to the car, floated next to me on the way home, and then followed me around for the next week until it was too deflated to continue following me. It would kinda lean towards me as I walked past it though. XD I completely had forgotten about that until watching Billy's Balloon... actually, now that I remember it, I wonder how on earth it came to be that the balloon followed me around like that, and just me. Anyway, have any opinions on this strange circumstance??

Oh, you should watch this [link] and then watch the other episode sections after it if you like it. XD It's sorta the Russian version of Winnie the Pooh. I'm not a fan of Winnie the Pooh, but the Russian version is freaking hilarious, in my opinion. XD


It took me a few days to update because I was feeling quite unwell. I spent a few days at my friends' house to recover.

Anyway, the date was pretty good! Kyle and I went to the movies (Pete didn't go since Kyle told him like... 20 minutes beforehand when the movies started and he had just started something). We watched the new "Race to Witch Mountain" movie which was surprisingly good for a movie like that (I don't normally like those movies). I might even watch it again sometime.
After the movie we went to Pete's apartment and picked him up, then the three of us went to a bonfire for a while, then back to Pete's to hang out. Then I went over to my friends' house and spent the next two days with them. All in all, it was a great weekend, despite feeling like crap. XD

Other than that... I haven't heard back from the herbal store about getting a job there yet. If that doesn't work out, then I'll have to apply to somewhere else. I have two other possibilities right now that I think would work out just fine, however I would like those jobs far less.

So the story is... today I went over to a friend's house and hung out all day, we had a great time. It was a blast. Then when I left tonight (about 11 pm) my mom and I went to the grocery store to get some foodz. Well, when we checked out, in the next aisle over was this guy who I've kinda-sorta had a crush on since summer with another guy I hadn't met. We said hai and stuff (the usual small-talk), and then I went to leave in one direction and they went to leave in another... well, my mom stopped the cart and stalled for a minute talking to me while the two guys walked away. They were a good 150 feet + away when they turned around and came over to where she and I were standing and talking.
They were just like "See ya" walking past but then my mom stopped them and talked to them. XD Yay for moms, because she was able to keep the conversation going long enough for the guy I've kinda liked (name being Kyle) to be like "Hey, do you like movies?" and they explained that they had dates for tomorrow night... but both of their dates left town! (Really, that's just awful. Ladies, don't do that, okay. It's like stabbing a guy's self-esteem in the gut and twisting the blade. Hard.) Anyway, they invited me to go along with them! Now, the other guy (name being Pete) apparently will try to pick up another girl for it, but personally I'm hoping to get both guys to myself. One date, two guys? How sweet is that! I like having my options open.

I'm in a very good mood because of it, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

Oh, and I bought an awesome hoodie shirt that looks extremely cute on me, too, so that's great also. (Though I have to exchange it for a larger size because it's a bit too confining in the bust area)

A lot has been happening recently... but nothing really exciting. I've met some new, interesting people, worked on art, and have been attempting to eat more than one meal a day. Apparently, according to my doctor, I'm supposed to be eating small meals with protein every three hours... <_< Well... I can try. XD
As for my comic, I haven't worked on it all week. Sadly. However, I'm quite excited to get back to work on it this coming week.

My dad has been working hard on his woodshop and I've been helping with that this week. If things go well then he'll be finished with his office room in the next few days, then we'll move stuff in there for his work, and then move extra stuff from our garage on top of the room... and voila, lots of extra space! We are thinking of then remodeling the garage and kitchen to become an extra large kitchen with a dining room or to remodel the garage into an extra living space... IF we ever get the money for something like that... in the meantime, it'll just be nice for my dad to have that office room out there to be able to work on his hobbies and relax.
I'm hoping that with the extra space freed up from moving things out of the garage, I'll be able to move some of my mom's stuff she doesn't need and has accumulated into there... *cough-packrat-cough* It would be nice to free up some extra space in the house. You know... since we live here and such.

So! This spring and summer will probably be quite busy, and time will go by quickly... then starting in the fall I'll have a whirlwind of adventure and epic fun! I'm extremely excited! Nothing beats spending time and traveling around with a good friend, meeting other artists, seeing lots of interesting things... Bring on August!

So! I went to a medical practitioner today and got tested by an FDA-approved biomeridian machine for my health problems. Long story short, the machine was able to figure out precisely what is wrong with me and what to do to fix it. I've been to doctors before for my health problems, but they either ignored/brushed off what I was saying or said they found nothing wrong, so it's nice to finally know. The doctor in this case then prescribed certain homeopathic medicines along with large doses of vitamin D (since apparently I am severely lacking it) and also wants me to eat lots of fish and other high-protein foods and a head of broccoli every day for now. She prescribed I think... 6... medications today, for the problems she is immediately worried about. My brother arrived here on the 18th... going to be here until next weekend. <_< I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. XD BUT, he got us cool presents apparently, so that's awesome. *snickers* I know some of what he got my dad, I helped him choose my mom's present (which I'm very excited for), and I have no idea what he got me, but he said he went all out. So... very excited. XD
I wanted to do an epically awesome project for him for Christmas but haven't been able to even start it... he was supposed to send me pictures of himself, his friend, and his friend's dog or cat, but he hasn't yet. Plus, the store I buy certain art supplies from is now out of business and they sold out of what I needed before I could buy it from them... so, I'll either have to order in what I want or go to a larger city to buy it. Jooooy.

Oh, and!!! I get the whole week off of work! WHEEEET!!!!!!

1. I love spiders and will play with them, even the poisonous ones except for very dangerous kinds like Brown Recluse... but I have a deathly fear of black widows, even though their venom is fairly mild.

2. I love Top Raman, Brussels Sprouts and McDonald's double cheeseburgers.

3. I'm extremely picky about what I eat, and will usually not eat anything with eggs, mayo, vinegar, or things like that in them.

4. I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell, and can smell things that most people don't know exist. I can even tell when someone across a room is turned on, because I can smell it. =/ Because of my sensitive nose, I gag easily at things that most people can hardly smell at all. Interestingly enough, though, I love the smell of death.

5. I don't feel cold outside in winter until it is about 0 degrees and I don't start shivering until about -30 degrees, unless I've just been in an extremely warm place, upwards of 80 degrees, then I will be cold sooner. On the flip side, even though to me, 80 + degrees is what I consider very hot, I can quickly become used to, and withstand, 105 + degree weather. This is because my body regulates its own temperature in a unique way, and becomes accustomed to varying temperatures quickly enough that I am very rarely bothered by any amount of heat or cold. When the temperature is hot, my chest, stomach, back and thighs will cool down and be very cold to the touch. This cools down all of my body, and allows me to handle the heat.

6. This should be obvious... but I usually go into a lot of detail when I am writing something, so I tend to make things very long. I rarely write descriptions that are shorter than a paragraph.

7. I'm a great cook, and an excellent baker. My homemade bread is the best ever! BUT I suck at making spaghetti sauce! (Hurray for canned, pre-made spaghetti sauce!) On the other hand, my brother is five-star chef quality at making spaghetti sauce, and he can make other good stuff too, but he doesn't bake at all. XD

8. My biggest "weakness" is that I can be extremely unreliable. When I agree to do things, I really intend to do them, but if it isn't something I enjoy, or if it is something tedious that continues on and on for extended periods, then I tend to start it, then "take a break from it" and never pick it up again, or procrastinate the rest of the time... this makes things difficult for myself and others when I do that.

I'll now try to actually REMEMBER the trip...

Warning: This is a very LONG description of my trip, because I go into a lot of detail during certain parts. Though, I will be skimming over a lot of parts without adding much detail... just depends on what I remember, and when.


Alrighties, so it starts out two weeks ago on a Monday when my best friend Daiji (Well, his name is Chris, but I call him Daiji) and his wife Amilia (I hope I spelled her name correctly.. I don't remember exactly how it should be spelled) called and asked me if I wanted to go out for lunch. I did, so a while later they picked me up and we went to Subway. It was good... for Subway. Personally, I think their food is merely palatable.
Anyway, after that we headed over to their house and I ended up helping them pack all of their stuff into a large U-Haul for their move the next day. It took most of the afternoon and evening because the two of them couldn't stop arguing about how things should be positioned... Daiji = Perfectionist. Amilia = Worrier. Perfectionist + Worrier = An environment perfectly suited to chaos.
*snickers* But, they actually make their marriage work, even with their almost constant disagreements and arguing.
Their friend Tyler was helping us pack the boxes into the U-Haul also, so later that night while Daiji and Amilia were arguing for a while, Tyler and I spent that time just hanging out... it was for about 2 hours. XD After that we all went out to dinner at Wingers. We brought Amilia's sister along... the whole thing cost a little over $60!! Like... dude! That's a lot of moneyz! But, they do things like that anyway, so I appreciated the meal. Tyler and I shared a look like "Holy crap!" when we found out how much it cost, though...
When they were driving me home, in Tyler's car (this is important to mention for what I'm going to talk about in a minute), Amilia was worrying as she always does (It's so cute!), and Daiji was insisting that things would be fine... she was worried that Daiji wouldn't be able to stay away driving on the entire trip, and she knew she'd fall asleep, and she doesn't drive, so she thought it would be best for another person to go along. Daiji insisted he would be fine, but she persisted, and was saying "If Tyler wasn't working then he could go with us..." and I was sitting in the front seat, snickering to myself and just waiting for it... and finally she said, "Oh, wait..." I glanced back and she asked me "Could we ask JoAnna to go with us?" and I replied "Yes, we can ask JoAnna to go with us!" and she said, "Well, can you?" and we talked about it, basically I was excited and really wanting to go, my only concern was how to get back, and she said "Well, we'll fly you back, of course." So, that made me more excited, and Daiji was insisting that he would do fine without me, so I said, "Oh? Are you saying you don't want me to come along?" And he got all flustered (twas rather funny) and said that it would rock to have me along, he just didn't want to inconvenience me, and I insisted that I really wanted to go.
So, when we got to my house we had decided that I would go, all I needed to do was talk to my parents. We all went inside, only my dad was still awake so I talked to him and he didn't care if I went or not. He's awesome like that. He talked to my mom about it, who was in bed, and I said goodbye to my friends and told them I'd talk to them in the morning.
A few hours later, at about 1 am my mom came downstairs and told me she was fine with me going, and thought it would be best.
So, I got ready, woke up early, posted my journal about leaving, and told them on the phone that I'd be going with them.
When I got there, they were arguing again. XD But, they were happy to see me, so we figured things out... while we were talking, Daiji told me that on the way home last night from dropping me off, Tyler, in his new car, had gone over a deep pothole and ripped off his bumper, and some stuff under his car... -__-; This is when I feel like CRAP... why, you ask, when it wasn't my fault? Because the last time Tyler gave me a ride, about two years ago in his old car, soon after he dropped me off at his house he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed his car into a pole.
So, it seems that every time Tyler gives me a ride, he'll damage his car in some way. *sigh* I felt really bad about it. It may be his own fault for being a crazy driver, but it still happened because he went out of his way to take me home.
Anyway.... we left on our trip! Daiji and Amilia started arguing again... I'm thinking, "I have a feeling this is going to be a looooooooooong trip...."

UNHAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! Or, for some of you, Happy Valentine's Day, also!

Anyway... yay for me, I finally have 10 artists to feature!

We had a snow blizzard here last night! It was very cool! Listening to the wind whining and howling all night was a funky experience, and now we have about three inches of snow plastered to the entire outside of our house on ALL sides! It seems like my cats are fine, though, which is good. They can stay in the woodpile and be protected. We brought my dog inside, though, which is good for him.

Hey, s'up? ^_^

Guess what happened today? First, my Daiji and his beautiful wife came over for a rooster for her mom, for some Chinese thingy... I caught the rooster and we tied it with twine and took it down to the Chinese restaurant that her aunt owns and her mom and family works there. XD We went in the back door with it, and all the workers (her family) gathered around and were making a huge deal over it. "It's the chicken!" and they were acting like chickens, and her mom was holding the rooster and was shoving it in people's faces while making "scary" noises. XD It was so hilarious.
It's really funny to have all these small Chinese people around, talking excitedly in Mandarin, and acting like chickens while running around with a rooster... *snickers*
After that, I had some wonderful fried rice, and hung out with Daiji and his lovely wife all the rest of the day. It was very nice, and lots of fun! I really like her brother Luis, he's fun. Her brother Fransisco is cool, too.

Anyway, very late last night I was able to get a HECK of a lot done on my finished project! It's such a relief to have made so much progress. ^_^ I'm very happy with it, and it is finally taking shape.

I wondered if I had them in the right categories within the pixel art area... but they were pixel art, and the whole picture, I considered, was a piece of pixel artwork... so why were they moved to scraps? Because they weren't good enough to be considered real pixel art, or something? I don't understand it... and the piece of art, the enlarged portion of the original pixel art, that I was going to send to my scraps in a few days, was the only one of the three that was left in my normal gallery.
I just don't understand why they would move them into my scraps... at least, the full-size pixel art. <.<

Art Medium: Pencil, pen, coloured pencil. Sometimes digital photo manipulation. I may consider pixel art, and will do static emoticons also. By special request I will use acrylic or oil paints, and may even be open for clay or wood sculptures.
Will do: Original characters, possibly fanart, humans and animals, some mecha.
Will NOT do: Pornography (I don't mind some mature content, but I will not do anything specifically sexual), yaoi (nothing against people who like it, I just don't favor it), anything with drugs, smoking or alcohol (you can do what you want, but I'm not including things like that in my art), though I may consider it, I prefer not to do robots or machines... I just don't enjoy it.

Conditions: I may alter the price for specific commissions! Keep that in mind! My prices listed here will be general prices, but I am not going to have them specifically set.
Be very specific in what you want. If you want something a certain way, tell me lots of details. If you want me to have a free-hand to be creative, then say so.
There are no refunds given for completed artworks. I need to receive payment before I start working on the pictures. Give me some time to complete them! I am a busy person, but when I am paid to do something, I work my very best on finishing it quickly and well.
I may add cost for wings or feathers... they take as long as the rest of the picture, usually.
*I try to keep this as inexpensive as possible, but I need the money from commissions, and it needs to be enough money to equal my time, effort, and supplies. If you can't quite afford the prices listed below, don't panic, just note me about it, and I will try to work with you on a lesser price.

*Note: If requested, I will also include editing in a computer program, like simple backgrounds, vignette, transparent clone, etc.

*Note #2: Some of my examples are up to 5 years old, so look at my newer deviations for my real skillage. I will only say (old picture) to some of the really old pictures, not all of them.

So, does anyone have any suggestions or requests for the next set of pictures for me to draw?

I'm going to concentrate on 's chibi first, and the probably concentrate on attempting to finish my entry for 's contest... Anyone have any other contests I can enter?

Mainly, I'd like suggestions for my fairy calendar. If anyone has any suggestions for which fairy they would like to see next, or a position the fairy would be in, please tell me, because I would like to know what you want.

4. Favorite place? This is a hard one... Oh! My special place that is on the mountain, still on my property. It's this very small clearing in the trees... so peaceful.... I love it. It's where I go when I really need to think.
