Well I'm sad to say, I'm cancelling the contest... I've not got or have enough entries to keep it going, so thanks to the people who did enter, and I'm sorry the contest couldn't go through.

Ardy here,
Uni starts back for me on the 28th (that be Tuesdi here).
Hope everyone had excellent holidayz!! I know I did, in fact I managed to get my first client :dance: VERY exciting stuff!! I'm designing a few logo's for his film company :XD: YEEE And although I'm not being paid, I'm still SUPA excited to have the experience :3

Other than that.. I managed to catch a nasty buggy of sickness (which I no longer have as I is cured YAYAYAY I LOVE HEALTHYNESS) and have worked LOADS YAYAYA 4 da moneys

so yesh, I've been productive :3

Well what news do I have... I got my hands on some new Adobe software and a new tablet, very swish O_O. I'm havin a small issue with photoshop though, it's a little delayed T_T very annoying (so if any one has a cure..:P), but its amazing besides that small problem. AND the tablet is SO KOOL!! its got blue glowy bits and is black and pure awesome :faint: cost me an arm and a leg though...

And I have to ask, what is more preferred... Windows or Mac's??

First off I want to send my sympathy to anyone who has been affected by the Victorian fires. There is an estimated 200 people who have perished in the blazes, I truly hope those figures don't rise anywhere beyond that. And I hope they catch the person who lit them! what sort of person does this?


On a lighter note, a friend of mine saved a dog this morning, though she has no microchip or tag on her collar. So hopefully she will be returned to her owner, but if not I know she will be cared for either way ^-^

Other news:
I'm almost finished with uni for the year!! I'm terribly excited.. i'll be able to catch up many things :excited: (specially my to do list :P).
This semester has been probably the most demanding so far, but geez was it worth it, i've learnt so much and have made many good friends! I've only got one more assignment to do, which is a center piece for the Uni ball for next friday.. The theme is 1950's elegance.. and i've chosen to do a Flamingo (i'm relateing it back to those garden flamingos they used to use :3) so i'll take foto's of it :D
It's the first time one of my designs has actually been used, so i'm super excited :giggle:


Also, I've finally managed to get my bf to become a deviant :3 WOOT 4 da ARDY hehe, so please be nice ;)

Hehe I just love spring :3 all the flowers are coming out in bloom, there's warm sun and sweet smelling air just everywhere... so beautiful. Atm Life is treating me quite well too I think, i'm at uni; workin hard with the most random assignments, i've finally got a job (and one I enjoy) and everything around me seems to just cheer me up :3 specially the sun, which is so warm... SHE LIVES!!! i'm back for three dayz in my house *sigh* I love to be home :nod:. Also Last thursday I recieved an early, unexpected birthday pressent :faint:

With my mum, cousin and Aunt, we drove to the Cat Haven in the city (i had no idea as the shop sign had OP shop below and thats what I saw... i was like i'm buying my present from an op shop... OK then) anyway I discovered it was the cat haven and i was supa hypo. The kittens were all so CUTE :faint:. I chose a little girl called Baci (like the Italian chocolate... means kiss :D) and she is the CUTEST bundel of fluff :excited:... se's sleepin right now :aww:

For the past, what like week my internet connection has been shot, completely disfunctional!! i was reaching a point of insanity i've never reached before... :paranoid: well now i'm connected again and am slowly claming down to a normal sane (or at least more sane) mood again *sigh*

well not really, just swamped with all kinds of assignments (it's wk 3 already in University *hyperventilates*) I advise STAY IN SKOOL KIDS!!! anyway I'm catching up on messages and deviations atm so I'm not stuck answering to many later on :giggle:. also by this weekend Elen i plan on puttin up ur sub (i really am trying...)

other than that, my life has been pretty dull, so now ur bord like me :w00t:

oh oh, before i forget does anyone know of a tutorial on how to draw peoples?? i'm not to hot at drawing them, need to practice :nod:

we did finally get to Venice after an exhausting night and found our hotel by about 2in the mornin... Venice was awesome, lots of pretty masks, old... really old buildings and LOADS of boats :D and i'd definitely go back

we left by train (we learnt train travel was far better :D hardly any delays) and arrived in Rome. Rome is an experience but i don't think i'll go back... the runes are pretty special though so i did get hundreds of pictures :D the funniest this though happened in Rome. We where on a tour and had to wait for 20 mins and this beggar person was obviously setting her/himself up (we couldn't tell if it was a man or woman the whole time...) anyway s/he walked normally to its spot and took out a cane from under its cloths and then began to limp and hovel over to people... i had to laugh. she did notice us watching from bus... awkward :paranoid:

from Rome we travel by train to Paris :drool:. Paris is a must! there are so many things to do (Disneyland ROX) and see... but somehow we found it hard to find a reasonably priced restaurant... From Paris to London. London was very nice but very expensive for us... Aussy dollar like less than half English pond... but we managed. we traveled to Cardiff for the day to check out my families heritage... apparently we invaded a castle :D kool stuff

from London and wales we travel 9 hours with an hour delay but no sickness to Calgary (Alberta, Canada). With its abundance of wild life and rich culture it was such a wonderful experience really :D and i recommend visiting Banff :nod: (go in winter less people :D)

We stayed in Banff for two week and skied... all though fun things. we had to transit through LA on the way home (i've been there before so i knew my way around :D) and finally stopped off at our last stop Auckland :faint: for one day... I WILL GO BACK!!! cause i missed seeing the sheep :(

and well thats really it, big HUGE trip with thousands of memories and foto's now i hope ur not bored :D

Anyway on my return I discovered I had over 400 deviation and messages... and I’m slowly working my way through (apologise for the last responses)

Well this trip has definitely left a mark in me (literally :D)

My world tour started as most do... early in the morning, our first stop Singapore. Its a lovely place :nod: although a lot of people stared at my shoes??

We left Singapore after an hour delay and flew to Dubai. It was nice to embrace other religions and cultures :nod: and as we had a full day there I got to do some serious window shopping (had to be careful how much I spent since my funds were not huge :D). The next day we returned to the airport and waited for out plane to arrive... and then...

The plane was delayed an hour... and then two and then suddenly it was 13 whole hours... so we slept at the airport (my dad’s new saying became "it's all part of the adventure" how I loathe that saying...)

So we finally left Dubai for the small country of Eritrea (Africa) and I have to say it was incredible, unlike any place on earth! Because of several things, firstly its super, super clean, second the architecture is an African Italian design (unique on its own), third everyone is very friendly and really very pleasant :nod: finally its safe and that’s what impressed me so much. No one is at risk and its safe for a woman to walk alone at night :o that’s rare these days. We drove down to the red sea for a day while in Eritrea and it’s an experience no one should miss (landscape, animals etc...). A few things caught my attention though; I had to laugh at the favoured drink, its called 'my-gas' (bubbly water) and the word 'Yuken Yella' it means thank you in the native language.

Right, back on track. we spend a good four days there and finally departed for Frankfurt, Germany ( the plane was delayed for an hour) and my sister was really sick (she was fine after lots of water and sleep though). If I could I’d live in Germany it truly is an amazing place. After adapting to the time difference we took a tour of the city and its history, very informative indeed (a lot is toned down though) that night the trouble really began though. I became seriously ill and everything I’d eaten wasn’t staying down and the next day I had to go to the doctor… he gave me four different drugs and it seemed to work for an hour but later on it became much worse and our plane left that night to Venice. We somehow got to the airport and one of the staff said I needed to go to hospital (there was one in the airport funny enough). After several injections I was put on one of those airport car things and driven to my plane… And that’s part one for now :D
