Known as "Eddie Maintenance" to those he works with at Ruby Pier, Eddie led what he saw as a disappointing life working as head of maintenance at a seaside amusement park. Upon his death, he learns that heaven is a place to make sense of his time on earth and that he will meet five people from his life who will help him understand its greatest lessons. >> Local photographer crusades against Quebec-only restrictions on street photography

So you got one of those newfangled digital cameras and you've gone snaphappy, shooting photos of friends, relatives, strangers, pedestrians, squirrels, buildings, trees and fellow party animals. Then you send them around or pop them up on a Web site.

You might consider slowing down.

Little known fact about life in Quebec: if you don't have official permission from the people who appear in your photos, they can sue you for making such images public. And that applies even if you were to e-mail the picture to a few friends, or put it on a little-frequented Web site.

Quebec is the only place in North America where photographers are required to get permission from the subjects of photographs that will be presented to the public. The only situa...

Not being compulsive about my writing so I wont get fed up.

The imagination is not the problem, that I have enough to sell!

I am lazy when it comes to sit down and write. I will procrastinate as hell and it is for me that I do it, it is not homework or work. Can you imagine what it would be if it was?

I have a love/hate relationship with writing. Sometime I thank god for my overactive imagination and daydreaming capabilities but it also turn out to be a curse. My reality is never interesting enough, I need to create a few alternative worlds.

Anyhow, the new thing I am starting: write once a week. That way I will not get fed up. Right?

Emphasy on TRYING!

A friend of mine revised Misty Dee, which will probably be the title since I think I am going somewhere with that. Here's the revised version.
Until this weekend we were a team of 10 Senior, about 20 supervisor with an estimate of 300 agents. 2 Seniors got promoted to Supervisor, that shrinks the support staff quite a bit. We also have 3 support staff schedule only for new people, commonly called Training Bay. 1 of them got promoted to Supervisor.
Now let's see what is coming up next. We have 8 trainers in total. All of them have class curently going on. That is about 15-20 people per class... Let's say 15...
Opeth launched a new album on August 26 but is currently only available in Europe. Well... who has it now????

It is revolting to see what those people went throught. I kept thinking of my friend Aline and what horror she might have witness when she was just a kid before being a refugee in Belgum.

I highly recommend that movie.

I got Lori's gift yesterday, an authographed copy of Outlander. I have read it but since she met Diana Gabaldon at The Fergus Festival (not related to Fergus O'Byrne) she got Wicked and I the same gift, knowing how we loved that book. Heck, I am the one that made Lori read it!

My shoulder is still hurting, I have to see a doctor about that to make sure it will be allright. Since last Saturday was nuts at work, I think the stress of that day made it worst. We had a new converged (both cable and wireless, which is not easy to assimilate in just 4 weeks) starting on the floor at 6pm and another one starting at 1:30.

The support staff is quite restricted on Saturday nights, we were 4 until 10:30 and then 3 until 2.. and then me... The call flow is quite high too during the weekend which makes me think someone messed up when they sheduled them... We lost 3 newbies that night and I am surprised it was not more! They didn't even know how to use the freaking phone!

I am trying to come up with a new DevID but my inspiration is quite low when it comes to me... Would someone be kind enough to come up with something without putting my face on it?

"I am defenitly not a townie but from the bay? Way out in the bay! "

By David Ljunggren

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Disgruntled Democrats seeking a safe Canadian haven after President Bush (news - web sites) won Tuesday's election should not pack their bags just yet.

Canadian officials made clear on Wednesday that any U.S. citizens so fed up with Bush that they want to make a fresh start up north would have to stand in line like any other would-be immigrants -- a wait that can take up to a year.

"Let me tell you -- if they're hard-working honest people, there's a process, and let them apply," Immigration Minister Judy Sgro told Reuters.

Asked whether American applicants would get special treatment, she replied: "No, they'll join the crowd like all the other people who want to come to Canada."

There are anywhere from 600,000 to a million Americans living in Canada, which leans more to the left than the United States and has traditionally favored the Democrats over the Republicans.

But statistics show a gradual decline in U.S. citizens coming to work and live in Canada, which has an ailing health care system and relatively high levels of personal taxation.

Government officials, real estate brokers and Democrat activists said that while some Americans might talk about moving to Canada rather than living with a new Bush administration, they did not expect a mass influx.

"It's one thing to say 'I'm leaving for Canada' and quite another to actually find a job here and wonder about where you're going to live and where the children are going to go to school," said one official.

Roger King of the Toronto-based Democrats Abroad group said he had heard nothing about a possible exodus of party members.

"I imagine most committed Democrats will want to stay in the United States and continue being politically active there," he said.

Americans seeking to immigrate can apply to become permanent citizens of Canada, a process that often takes a year. Becoming a full citizen takes a further three years.

The other main way to move north on a long-term basis is to find a job, which in all cases requires a work permit. This takes from four to six months to come through.

Statistics show the number of U.S. workers entering Canada dropped to 15,789 in 2002 from 21,627 in 2000. In 1981 some 10,030 Americans gained permanent residency, compared to 5,541 in 2003.

Asked if there had been signs of increased U.S. interest, Sgro said: "Not yet, but we'll see tomorrow."

The Canadian foreign ministry said there had been no increase in hits on the Washington embassy's immigration Web site, while housing brokers doubted they would see a surge in U.S. business.

"Canada's always open and welcoming to Americans who want to relocate here, but we don't think it would be a trend or movement," said Gino Romanese of Royal Lepage Residential Real Estate Services.

Those wishing to move to Canada could always take a risk and claim refugee status -- the path chosen earlier this year by two U.S. deserters who opposed the Iraq (news - web sites) war.

"Anybody who enters Canada who claims refugee status will be provided with a work permit...it doesn't matter what country they're from," said an immigration ministry spokeswoman.

Refugee cases are handled by special boards, which can take months to decide whether to admit applicants. The rulings can be appealed and opposition politicians complain some people ordered deported have been in Canada for 10 years or more.

I fell asleep down by the stream,
And there I had the strangest dream;
And down by Brennan's Glenn there grows,
A briar and a rose.

There's a tree in the forest,
But I don't know where;
I built a nest out of your hair,
And climbing up into the air,
A briar and a rose.

I don't know how long it has been,
But I was born in Brennan's Glenn;
And near the end of spring there grows,
A briar and a rose.

Picked the rose one early morn,
I pricked my finger on a thorn;
It had grown so high,
Its winding wove the briar around the rose.

I tried to tear them both apart,
I felt a bullet in my heart;
And all dressed up in springs and clothes,
The briar and the rose.

And when I'm buried in my grave,
Tell me so I will know;
Your tears will fall to make love grow,
The briar and the rose.

Misty Moisty Morning

One misty moisty morning, when cloudy was the weather,
I met with an old man, he was clothed all in leather;
He was clothed all in leather with his cap beneath his chin, singing,
Howdedo and howdedo and howdedo again.

I went a little further and there I met a maid,
Well a maid a-goin' a-milking, and milkin', sir, she said;
And I began to compliment and she began to sing, singing,
Howdedo and howdedo and howdedo again.

This rustic was a treasure as on his way he hied,
All with a little bottle fast buckled by his side;
He wore no shirt upon his back but wool unto his skin, singing,
Howdedo and howdedo and howdedo again.

This maid, her name was Dolly, clothed in a gown of grey,
And feeling somewhat jolly, persuaded her to stay;
And then in kind embraces I strolled her double chin, singing,
Howdedo and howdedo and howdedo again.

I said that I would married be and she would be my bride,
And lonely should not tarry and twenty things beside;
I'll plough and mow and reap and sow and you will sit and spin, singing,
Howdedo and howdedo and howdedo again

Her parents then consented, all parties were agreed,
Her portion thirty shillings, we married were with speed;
And Will, the piper, he did play, while others dance and sing, singing,
Howdedo and howdedo and howdedo again.

Now, Bobby plays the mandolin for the many damsels gay,
Along with Fay and Dolly to celebrate the day;
And when they came together their hats they all did fling, singing,
Howdedo and howdedo and howdedo again
