Interim, my immediate family bought a house up in the town my Grandparents live and where we were staying the majority of the four months. My grandpa's been helping with the renovations. There were good days and there were bad days, in those conditions. I care not to get too much into it. They hadn't internet, so I was only able to get online by getting to Starbucks, as aforementioned.

We also got a German Shepherd Mix puppy; it was before March, my brother named her Maybelline. Needless to say, she is adorable.

Due to familial problems, I'm (with parents) going to be moving in with extended family up North in my state. They do not have internet. And I've said on many occasions (but elsewhere-) that house is a pressure cooker; only one breadwinner (who is too old for this, even) taking care of too many people. I'm simply irate that I constantly seem to miss important details until its too late or last minute. But, on Monday night- I needed to take the bus home. I had my backpack (with my books, etc. in it) and my laptop bag/case (with my precious MacBook, AC adapter, and extension cord.) I was talking with a new friend I made in school about the best bus route home. The bus came, I went on.

To my horror, in minutes (yet too far to be able to stop the bus), I realized that in a lapse of judgment- I had left my laptop behind at the stop! I was in tears...

Regards to current events...

The afternoon before my Graduation [Commencement] Ceremony, my school held an Awards Ceremony. I received High Honors and Fine Arts Department Awards. :dance:

Earlier that day, we also got our caps and gowns... I'll show pictures if asked to.

On Commencement Day... there was tons of stress. I felt the administration had severe problems having clear communications and also I felt kind off somewhere... maybe a tad sleep deprived. Cutting it rather close, I did make it on time. There were a few jackasses who have no idea what decorum means, but I digress. I was just relieved that it came pretty smooth.

As the title says... I need a bit of help. (From any of you computer savvy watchers.)

I've successfully transferred both my picture and music files from the PC and Mac just fine (using a service called Engnyte). Even WordPerfect files are in it now...

The problem is .wpd files are hopelessly incompatible with the Microsoft Word:Mac 2008 software on my Mac.

Plan A: Go to the PC (Vista OS), access WordPerfect (which is outdated in itself, v10), save as a compatible format. (.rtf, .doc, .docx, etc?)*

But My dad bought a brand spankin' new HP Desktop a couple of weeks ago... my files transferred.

But now I got a MacBook! (I certainly hope it will live up to it's good name and become my new friend... :lol:)

This will be the first Mac I've yet to own- so it is a very new experience. (I'm curious as to how I may transfer my documents/files on the PC to this Mac... :confused:.)

Why am I excited?

• I want to finish this acrylic painting that I've been working on for the past few class periods!

• Same thing for my latest project for my Mixed Media/Stained Glass class!

• Lastly I'm going to see my six-part picture, Acceptum Catenatus   [traditional version], framed this coming weekend. (It's going to be shown in the end of year art show this year! :D)

Thanksgiving sucked. There have been a few holidays of past that were ruined by familial problems... Not to mention I still havn't finished my Humanities homework, too distracted.

My dad has severe gambling problems, it amazes me there's still a roof over my head!

The Indian casinos may funnel some of their revenue to the state government of California, but they also take advantage of those with no self control! When I woke up today, he was gone and I'm damn sure he went to the casino!
