DRAW A SHORT MANGA STORY
This contest is for amateur manga artist who has always wanted to draw a short comic or to parody their own manga or someone else's

RULES

:bulletgreen: The short story you summit must not go over 3 pages

:bulletgreen: No hetai, ecchi, herem or artist nude realated artworks

:bulletgreen: You can summit only 2 different stories

:bulletgreen: Please submmit the link to your deviantion in a note with the title "Short Manga Contest"

Hello everyone! First journal for us... soooo... bear with us XD .

Because there is two of us, the club will run twice as fast AND slow. Fast because members and deviations will be added ASAP. Slow because we mostly need to discuss everything before something gets done (except for this journal... ~2loonie4u thought this was needed to get done...)

We noticed that a handful of deviations our members are doing are not being sent to the club :/ . Every single one of them was done extremely well, and get this, it's free advertising!

New suggestions to us is always accepted, and maybe some pointers will help out too...

I guess this was a long time coming really, seeing as I'm now back at uni and am unable to deal with running a club :XD: If anybody is interested in taking over Artist-Café, note me at *jellysocks just write me a line saying why you would be interested in becoming the new owner. If I get more than one reply I'll take a day to decide and get back to everybody who contacted me.


In regards to the competition I will allow the new "manager" to either extend the deadline so they can build up more publicity OR just pick the winners. I WILL still try to hold up my end of the deals an produce some prizes although I regret they may not be what I had promised and I am sorry


I'm sorry to all my members for letting this happen, I would still like the club to continue and would like to leave it in the hands of somebody who has the time to do so.



In taking over the site you are allowed to use the mascot header and avatar, obviously you may change them both if you so wish. However if you decide to keep using them then I would please like credit for the mascot header and credit for the avatar to go to ~TotallyTom Thank you

SUBMITTING WORK

To submit your work please follow these rules:


FAN ART

The Club supports original artwork, however members are allowed to submit up to three pieces of fan art a week.

The fan art must agree with deviantArt's rules.


ORIGINAL WORK

Members must note the club with the title "Submissions".
In the note please put the link to your work, the link must lead to a deviation.

We accept any medium for text based work we require that they are no longer than 5 pages with a 12 point text.

We will read through any stories that are sent to us.

Please submit up to only four deviations a day, and wait until those have been uploaded before you want to submit any more.

You should receive a confirmation note that they have been accepted, if you have still not received one within a week please note us.

Please remember that we have the right to refuse submissions if we think they violate deviatART's rules.

THEMES


Please read on if you commented on the last journal!

FRIENDS That's right, the idea is that if you want to take part message this journal stating that you would like to be involved and I will pair up members who have similar working styles, or if not the best I can.


What you have to do!

It's simple! To create a piece of work that has the theme friendship using what ever medium you both use and what works best for you both. It's a collaboration idea, and requires both partners to work on the image even if one draws it or the other colours.


What you will receive


You will in the process gain a friend! And for the best image we receive both members will be featured in the journal and will be given a small commission!

NEW MASCOT.


Notice the Mascot we have? Well seeing as this is a friends club he's rather lonely by himself!

We want you to design our new mascots.

What we are looking for :

Were looking for three new mascots to join our tea drinking wolf! The chosen designs will become part of our club header as well as something special for the winning contestants.

The rules.

1) You may design as many new mascots as you like however only one will be eligible for winning.

2) The characters must be original, no fan art or original characters belonging to a fandom. E.g No Original Harry Potter characters.

3) You can create animal/human/robotic/alien mascots, whatever your heart desires in whatever medium you chose to use.

4) Please submit the link to your deviation in a note with the title "Mascot Competition"

Prizes

1) The three members who create winning mascots will have their characters in the journal header as well as an individual commission, full colour with background.
As well as features in our journal.

2) second prize will receive a full colour character commission with black and white background.

3) third prize will receive a black and white sketch.

DEADLINE

In order for the club to build up and for new members to join the deadline will be on the 2nd October unless other wise stated.
