Love!

I really liked Phantom Hourglass - I thought it was innovative and surprisingly unique. It took handheld Zelda games to a new level in terms of gameplay and characters, and won me over far more easily than Twilight Princess. It's really too bad that the DS Zelda games don't get the same respect the console games get.

In any case, it looks like Spirit Tracks will be carrying on Phantom Hourglass' innovations, but they seem toned down. All well, I can live with that.

However, the best part is the obvious Engrish thrown in there. It's amazing how they did that; I mean, "phisicalqantity?" Honestly? But then I got to thinking about how it was written in the English dubbed version (since I only watch the subbed versions) and it turns out they actually corrected it to "Physical quantity."

So...Japanese audiences are expected to know what "phisicalqantity" means because of the way it sounds? Because if they really don't know that "physical" is spelled with a y, and every q word in English is followed by a u, then they really won't know what physical quantity means.

Still, I thought it was hilarious.

My roommate brought the printer, so I thought it wouldn't be a big deal in terms of scanning art. But she hauled in a massive, old skool laser printer which is about the size of a small child and lacks everything but black-and-white ink printing.

HOWEVER, the good news is that my school's bookstore has a deal with an all-in-one, HP printer for $60. Life is great. Money issues, however, are becoming bigger, so I'm currently bargaining with my parents over getting it within the next week...or else I don't enter the FE Club contest. If not, I'll still scan and color the picture in due time.

P.S. It's unfortunate, but I foresee a ton of of homework/studying next week as well...two tests and a paper due, so we'll see.

P.S. The internal wireless modem in my laptop of five years has, inexplicably, lost its ability to connect to the internet. Let me just start by saying is been a helluva past two weeks. 'Cuse my language, but there really is no other way to put it. It was the worse Spring Break of my life, coupled with a long week at school (this current week looks to be even longer), and I'm just beginning to recover.

First off, I wasn't able to relax on Spring Break because I was dragged along in a six-hour car ride to Santa Barbara to visit SoCal colleges. I hate car rides. They're not unbearable - they're just long, and it seems like I either get an inevitable headache or feel the need to throw up. But it was good this time both ways, but that didn't make me feel better.

Even worse is the pressure of college. I'm so scared of four more years of schooling, it can make me physically sick. Yes, I know it's not that bad and that millions have done it already and millions more will do it after me, but it's still daunting, ya know? I'm a homebody - if mere car rides are bad for me, what will four years in another city do? The thought petrifies me.

And I wasn't so opposed to going for a few days if all I had was light homework - it would be easy to do on the days when we got back, but my wonderful History teacher decided to through a huge group project at us. Great, really. No warning at all, and I'm going to be gone for most of the week. Really. Screwed. Up.

So that brings me to the worst part of the week - Friday. So I'm leaving from a friend's house to go home for my piano lesson, and, I'm not gonna lie, I'm not the best driver. I failed my first license test, but that was due to the instructor mainly. Still, I took that failure hard. But I'm certainly not a bad driver - I'm cautious to a fault. So I'm not sure where I went wrong...

I looked up at the intersection light to make sure it was green, started across the crosswalk, and literally - out of nowhere - a man just stepped in front of me.

I can't go into too much detail, and, believe me, I tried my best to stop, but I hit him anyways. It was the most terrifying thing that I'm ever done, even worse than slicing my finger with a carving knife in third grade, or worse than flipping an ATV on top of me. Anyways, I was stuck at the accident site for two and a half hours, just crying and sobbing. My parents did show up, and I know now that he'll be fine, but still, it's hard to get over.

So yeah, that really messed up the past few weeks. Sorry for no new art. Like I said, it's been long and hard. I have very little faith in myself these days. I won't stop drawing, but it's taken me a long time to pick up the pencil again and begin sketching.

Anyways, thanks to anyone who actually read that, and even more thanks to anyone who responds. All of you mean a lot to me.

Gah, I've been feeling so damn depressed lately. First, it started off as just being a really sucky week. You know, the kind where you have six tests in a row on Friday, then you have to get up really early on Saturday to do something stupid only because society expects you to (yes, I AM talking about the SATs)?

But that was on Monday, and I spent the rest of the week studying and mentally preparing myself for Friday/Saturday, but I dunno, I just kinda broke down somewhere along the line and I just let the stress get to me. It was good that I got it out, but I've been feeling incredibly mellow since then.

Everything went fine, though, so I'm not sure why I still feel antsy...although, I have the sneaking suspicion my best friend has regained her crush on my boyfriend, but I really don't know what to say. I really, genuinely want to believe it's all in my head, but at the same time, I just can't shake this feeling...

And it's eating me from the inside out.

Any advice or encouraging comments would be wonderful right now. I can't even think straight, let along figure this all out. -_- I just want to crawl into a ditch and wait for it all to pass...

He appears to look like the DS remake version - a lot darker and much less feminine (although, the video is pretty blurry, so...we'll leave that debate open.)

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG HAS BEEN CONFIRMED FOR BRAWL.

And surprisingly enough, the Internet did not crash.

Personally, I care not for Sega's star character, but the fact that he's in makes this game tens times more real (kinda like you're in a dream, but suddenly it's getting so much better). It's hard to believe that in two month's time, Brawl will be out!

Along with Sonic came a new video showing several characters' taunts and moves not previously seen and a second video featuring his introduction!

EDIT: You read it correctly. To cover up the even BIGGER news of a possible delay until Jan/Feb of '08, Nintendo updated Sonic to keep fans satisfied. Although there is no "official release date," The Dojo for Japan proclaims that the date has been pushed back until January 24th, 2008.

While North Americans might expect a release date sometime in December (it is common sense that the holidays sell better than any other time of the year), the release date remains speculated.

Just so everyone knows, Linebeck is awesome. Finally, we get an assistant (not really a "helper", but a tag-along character, like the KORL and Ezlo) that has a different personality. Think Jack Sparrow, but without the cool hair. He acts like he's innocent, but you can tell that he's plotting something underneath it all.

The new fairy is okay. She seems young - like ten or under, and, yes, they actually kept Navi's voice. I was hoping for Tatl's little ring, but nope - Navi's back in full swing. I'm a bit annoyed, because Ciela tells you everything, even if it's obvious...

And, yes - THE CUCCOS ARE BACK!!!! :faints:

Been Playing FFIII for the DS since Christmas. Stuck because the stupid Nepto sea dragon is waaaaay too strong for my puny little foursome and because Descho or whatever-his-name-is can't do a dang thing...

However, I found my antidote:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the GBA for *free* (it was a Best Busy gift card, which, in my book, is as good as cash). Plus FS!!
